EMD Processing in RFx
Hi Friends,
We are using SRM 7.0 with PPS. I have some doubts regarding EMD processing. Kindly correct me if I am wrong.
1. What is the significance of EMD required in RFx ? I am not getting any effects in RFx like Tender Fee. For example if Tender Fee required then Bidder should pay Tender fees then only he is able to submit his bid. But for EMD no provision I found for Supplier or Bidder side.
2. Bidder is able to submit his bid even EMD required.
3. Supplier is able to open Technical Bid whereas Bidder has not submitted EMD even EMD required.
4. In Government organization before opening tender, first required to check EMD .If EMD paid by bidder then only Technical Bid opens. If EMD not paid or corresponding document not available, Technical Bid should be rejected and Technical Bid will not open by Supplier. In this case Technical envelope will not open for respective bidder.
5. How to map above process in SRM 7.0.because Supplier is able to open Technical Bid even Bidder has not submitted EMD. If I reject Bidder before examine Technical Bid (through colder), Supplier is able to view Rejected Bidderu2019s Technical detail (in cFolder) which should not be happen. Is it standard functionality or needs work around for restrictions.
6. Is it possible if Bidder not paid EMD then Technical Bid should not open by system or through an error message?
Kindly suggest me .
Regards,
Abhijeet

Condition type error in RFx response
Dear Experts,
I have created a new condition type with condition class Discounts/percentages
and with Fixed amount.
This created a condition type i ahve mainatined in the "process condition group" under maintanace group '01QU' so that i can excluisvely use for at the RFx response.
When i am processing the RFx response i am getting an error
"A fatal error occured in the PD Layer. The transaction needs to be terminated."
Kindly advise .
The intention is i have to certain condition types exclusively at the time of RFx response.Hi Saha,
I have not create a new condition in my template, but... I have the same error when I try to create a Quot as Vendor "A fatal error occured in the PD Layer. The transaction needs to be terminated".
I´m in SRM 7.0 with SP 08.
Any Idea?
Thanks,

Not All RFx Data Extracted to "0BBP_BID" ODS (SRM - Bidding Engine)
Hi Expert,
I'm now working on an SRM Reporting in SAP BW especially Bidding Engine Reporting. I have installed the Business Content of Bidding Engine and do extraction to the InfoProviders.
The problem is at ODS "0BBP_BID" not all RFx or Bid Invitations data extracted. After I investigate the issue I found out that the data that not extracted is the data with Process Type (RFx Type) Z* (User Defined).
Is there any setting that I have to do so the Process Type "Z*" can be extracted to the ODS?
Please help and give us some solution.
Thanks,
GilangJohn
First of all with out having user ID and password it is not possible for bidders to enter SRM system to submit bids. So Business partners have to be created in SRM with contact person(Bidder) details.
You can try one thing. It is just my thought and I dont know how far it will be viable. I never tried.
Create a dummy business partner(vendor) in SRM and create many contact persons ie one for each vendor with their ID/password and email address. Then select all vendors(like receiving multiple bids from same vendor) and send the bid invitation.
Bidders will login and submit the bids. Then buyer will see the bids from all vendors (actually from one vendor but with different contact persons).
Then buyer can decide on the winning bid and then create a business partner for the winning bid and continue with the purchase activities.
With this you can avoid creating many business partners at the time of creating bid invitations.
Other alternative is, if you dont want to create ID and passwords for Bidders then send tender details to all vendors off line via e-mail and ask them to send the price to Buyer offline.

And i would like to know how to set up the environment variable for Oracle_HOME and ORACLE_SID.
Please kindly assist me on this.Looking at the error message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" , It appears hostname and port may be incorrect. Review the targets.xml under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\emd and
emoms.properties under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\config folder to make sure host ( sap_solman) and port (1527) are correct.
As far as setting the environment variables goes, you can go to control panel -> system -> advanced -> environment variables and set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID

How to control Action in a Custom Button - SRM 7.0
Hi SRM gurus,
We have an issue to add a new button in Bidder responseu201D window when we process an RFX. We follow these steps:
1. Defined and designed a new action called ZZMYACTION, type u201805u2019 (header) and for BUS2202 (Vendor Bid).
2. Configured the control of action on header level for displaying and editing.
3. Added a new button in Webdynpro Component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT, configuration ID /SAPSRM/WDCC_FPM_OIF_QTE_PURCH. It was added as u201COTHER_FUNCTIONSu201D button. It was configured with ELEMENT ID = u2018ZZMYACTIONu2019 and FPM Event ID = u2018ZZMYACTIONu2019.
4. We created a post-exit for method ONACTIONBUTTON_PRESSED in view CNR_VIEW of the webdynpro. We encode this post-exit following next thread:
So we have the control of the button. We have now a problem, because we raise our event ZZMYACTION, butu2026 ¿how can we configure this event? The purpose of this button is send an email to the bidder answering him about the result of the RFX, but I donu2019t know where do I have to put my code to do this.
Anybody can help me to define the event? What am I missing? In addition, I would like to know in the event the bidder, sou2026 how do I send this to my code?
Many thanks in advance
Best regards,
Valentín.Hi Valentín,
If you want to control the event raised by your button, you should create a post-exit in class /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_IDEN_PUR_RFX, method /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_IDENT_MAPPER~HANDLE_EVENT. I hope this can help you.

On metalink I've found out that more people have had this problem. I've read about bug 2507365 and a patch in 9.0.3 but I couldn't find a real solution for the problem.
Does this error has something to do with a confuguration of a previous installation of another user?
Is there an easy way to work around this problem? Can I change something in the access rights and deploy the wireless administration tools in the OC4J_Portal instance manually? Would safe me a lot of time.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
ThomasI've found a topic on Metalink named "Manually deploy oc4j_portal?" but I couldn't get access to it.

Do you have any suggestions of things I could try? Do I have to check out the settings of the OC4J_portal instance? I've also checked the Access Rights for cn=IAS Infrastructure Databases, cn=IAS, cn=Products, cn=OracleContext user the Oracle Directory Manager.

Manually deleted a java application - now getting errors
Hello
I mistakenly started deleting an application manually instead of going through Enterprise Manager, now I'm getting error messages whenever I try to manage any of my oc4j instances and deploying ear files.
We are running Oracle 10g Application Server and our database is 9i. The error message appears in the Application Server Control window. Please let me know if you need more info.
There error message I get is below: I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Molly
An error occurred while redeploying the application. The configuration files for this OracleAS 10G instance are inconsistent with the
configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository,
no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. The exception associated with this failed operation is:
{0}
. Please also check the logs located at
ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs to determine why DCM was unsuccessful in updating
the configuration files on disk. Some possible causes are:
* permissions on files
* file contention issues on Windows NT
* internal Oracle error
After resolving the problem that prevented DCM from updating the configuration
files, you may use the dcmctl resyncInstance command to resolve the problem.
Alternatively, you can stop and then restart the active dcmctl or EMD
process and resyncInstance will automatically be performed.
Root Cause: Error creating directory C:\oracle\j2ee904test1/j2ee/\dev-non-secure.tmp118651999029564.
Resolution: . Error creating directory C:\oracle\j2ee904test1/j2ee/\dev-non-secure.tmp118651999029564.
Resolution: Error creating directory C:\oracle\j2ee904test1/j2ee/\dev-non-secure.tmp118651999029564.Personally I would make sure that my configuration was ok by checking the default-web-site.xml and application.xml in %ORACLE_HOME%\j2ee\%OC4J%\config. If I knew for a fact that this was all ok, then I would issue: dcmctl updateconfig force -v (can't remember the exact syntax of the force flag, but it sure looks like this). This would cause the correct (=local) config to sync into the respository.

Please suggest me what to do and how to rectify. Can we work with forms without this component. I am getting the same component failure when I install 9IAS option on infrastructure.
With best regards and Thanks
Varma.Hi,
Thank you for the information. I installed 3 times but still the same problem persists. Apache is working fine. Hosts file also configured with the same system IP. Is this component important for executing 9i forms and reports. Is there any way to install this component alone.
Can u suggest any good document about installation and configuration of Oracle 9i application for a layman in Oracle 9iAS. if you have any documents can u send them to [email protected]
Waiting for your replay....
With best regards

Automatic workload reassignment of purchase order
Dear experts ,
My customer need an option for Automatic workload reassignment of purchase group .
We have the rule to determine the purchase group against product group and the price in SC.
Now, we need the possibility to change purchase group in case he was out of office. We want to set the purchaser in status O.o.O and that the SC will go automatically to the replacer purchaser group (We need something such as workflow Substitution function) .
We know that we can use the workload reassignment transaction but this is manually operation.
Is anyone can help us??
Best regards
Gil shinarHi Gil shinar
You have two options for changing the assignment of Requirements, Purchase Orders,
Bid Invitations and Contracts to a different purchase group:
1. Automatic Assignment: You can automatically assign these documents
to another purchase group by activating and defining rules in BADI BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI.
2. Manual Assignment: You can reassign these documents manually by accessing the Reassign Workload transaction.
Workload Redistribution
You use this function to manually assign, or have the system automatically assign, the following documents to the purchasing group responsible for processing them:
RFx
Requirements
Contracts
Purchase orders
Workload is redistributed by users who are assigned the role of Purchaser. Documents are redistributed in background processing.
Integration
Documents may have to be manually assigned for the following reasons:
The person responsible for the given purchasing group is temporarily absent.
The structure of the purchasing group in your organization has changed.
The documents fail the automatic assignment rules.
The rules for the automatic assignment of documents to purchasing groups are not maintained.
If you do not maintain the assignment rule, documents are assigned to a default purchasing group that has to be processed manually.
Note
You can set up assignment rules and rerun the workload distribution to have the system automatically distribute the affected documents.
For more information, see the Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server Business Add-Ins Changes to Purchasing Group and Purchasing Organization Assignments
End of the note.
Prerequisites
You have maintained standard purchasing groups in the organizational plan.
If you want to have the system automatically reassign documents that were assigned to the standard purchasing group as defined in the organizational plan, you must have maintained u2014 or remaintained, as necessary u2014 the assignment in the Business Add-In BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI.
For more information , see the Customizing for Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server Business Add-Ins Changes to Purchasing Group and Purchasing Organization Assignments .
Features
Search for Documents
You can use the search to search for purchase requisitions, contracts, RFx, and purchase orders.
Note
Using the Reporting Workload hyperlink in the search, you can access worklist evaluations. For more information, see below.
End of the note.
List of Results
You can:
Sort the results list.
Use the hyperlinks in the column headers to sort the documents in ascending or descending order. Click the hyperlinks in the Item column to view the detailed display for the document.
Select documents from the results list for assignment.
Have the system automatically assign the selected documents to purchasing groups, based on the assignment rules defined in the BAdI BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BADI.
You see an overview of the reassigned documents that shows the source and target purchasing groups. The system redistributes the documents among the new purchasing groups in the background, and displays any relevant messages. A success message is displayed when processing is complete.
Manually assign the selected documents to a purchasing group.
Use the input help to select a purchasing group and click OK.
The system displays a list of the selected documents. Here you have the option of deselecting individual documents u2014 these documents are not reassigned. This means you can simulate workload redistribution before the system changes the purchasing groups.
When you have completed the selection, choose Go. The system reassigns the documents to the new purchasing groups in the background, and displays a success message when processing is complete.

LDAP Error 50 configuring OC4J in 9ias Rel 2
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to install 9ias Rel 2 on a Windows 200 Server machine.
Unfortunatly after 3 tries i'm continuing receiving the following error during the OC4J configuration step in a Business Intelligence Installation type ( i want to say first that all the Infrastructure installation and configuration was successfully executed and that i stopped the EM before starting the OAS installation to avoid to have conflict with the dcmctl tool):
The configuration files for this Oracle9iAS instance are inconsistent with the
configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository,
no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. Please check the logs located at
ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs to determine why DCM was unsuccessful in updating
the configuration files on disk. Some possible causes are:
- permissions on files
- file contention issues on Windows NT
- EMD and dcmctl running concurrently
- internal Oracle error
After resolving the problem that prevented DCM from updating the configuration
files, you may use the dcmctl resyncInstance command to resolve the problem.
Alternatively, you can stop and then restart the active dcmctl or EMD
process and resyncInstance will automatically be performed.
The dcm.log says:

I have tried 3 times (everytime after deinstalling and cleaning the machine), and got the same error.
Can anyone help me? It's really urgent and i spent a lot of time without solving it yet.
Thanx in advanceI have had the same problem getting any dates from Oracle as well but after talking to Oracle and bugging them about it here is the response I received:
Sun Solaris before May 31
MS Windows - Solaris date + 8 weeks
Red Hat 7.1 - Solaris date + 1 week
SuSe SLES7 - Solaris date + 1 day
True64 - Solaris date + 4 weeks
I don't know how reliable these dates are but I thought I would pass on what I have been told, since some information is better than none.
