Emergency Contact Report (MSS)

Hi,
I have copied and modified the SAP query Family members. I have added the infotype 106 to get telephone number of all emergency contacts of given personnel number.
The problem is the query returns duplicate records if given personnel number has more than one emergency contact as if it is returning the cross product of infotype 0021 and infotype 106.
Is here is way to fix this by picking only the corresponding telephone number from infotype 106 for the emergency contact in 0021.
The purpose is that managers should be able to see their emergency contacts of personnel reporting to them in MSS.
We are using version SAP ECC 6.0 and EP 6.0 with Business package ERP 1.0 (for MSS).

This is a common problem, you will definitely get duplicate records and apparently there is no solution but ABAP. You have to create custom fields and put ABAP code behind them instead of code at record processing level. I have encountered same problem a year back and ended up coding in the infoset after a lot of research. Emergency contact iview in BP MSS 1.41

Hello,
We have a Portal landscape which is NW 7.0 with EHP1 (SP 5) with Oracle 10.2.0.4 running on AIX 6.1.
Now our EP Dev team is looking for Emergency contact iview and not able to find the same.
As a result of that we did some search and found that Emergency contact iview is not included in MSS 1.0, also SAP asks to go back to MSS 60.1.22 to get the iview.
Now my question is if we install the old MSS BP 60.1.22 will it cause any problem for the customisations created using MSS 1.41, can we use two different BP MSS in same system.
Please throw some light on this issue.

Thanks for your thoughts.
In our case we have a single backend system connected to EP which is running on ECC 6.0 EHP4 EHP Stack 04.
Our SAP_APPL release is 604 and SP 04, so our BP MSS combination is BP_ERP5MSS 1.41 SP4 which is correct as per SAP.
Please let us know what could be done now in order to get the missing Emergency contact iview.

ESSMSS Scenario General Information - Emergency contact details

Hello All,
We have a scenario where in SAP ESS\MSS Portal , In MSS Tab --> Team --> General Information Page (Personal Data iView) , I am unable to view Emergency contact details Fields.
Even using iView Personalizations options I am unable to view the respective Information details .
On the bacckend I can see the details being avalable for the employee.
Requesting to some suggesstions and thoughts here on urgency.

Adding to the scenario above. On one landscape we see in MSS --> Team --> General Information.
On
Emergency Contact details.
NA Number
Working Time : Next Week
whereas in working time we need the days of the week along with the working hrs.
Can anyone tell us if anything needs to be activated for the same. Or is it just a custome thing that we need to add on the respective standard object?

Error while modifying the data in Emergency Contact.

I have developed a new application for emergency contact by following the FPM.Its a Zcopy of standard US/family application. The application is working fine except modify details.If i am trying to modify the previous records i am getting an error Start date should not be earlier than todays date We are using Usecase B3

Emergency Contacts in Oracle HRMS

Hi,
We are in process of extracting data from Oracle HRMS and send it to ADP.
We have to pull Emergency contacts details for a person.
I can see the table per_contact_relationships, which stores the person_id, contact_person_id, contact_type.
But where do I see the relationship for that person?
Suppose if I have person_id as 123, and contact_person_id as 789, and contact_type = 'EMRG',
I want the relationship between these two persons, like Spouse, Child, Daughter etc.
Which table stores these relationships?
Please clarify...

Hi
CONTACT_TYPE column of table per_contact_relationships stores the Relationship between employee and contact.In your example 'EMRG' is Relationship between employee and contact.
If you query for Spouse then you will see the contact type='S' for spouse.

Year End-Notes Emergency Contacts

We have applied all the 2011 year-end notes and have discovered an error It looks like anyone listed as an emergency contact on the family member dependent Infotype 0021 now appears as an emergency contact on the Health Insurance infotype 167 with a red error. Any suggestions or notes pertaining to this error?

On what version are you on ?
I don't know for other Countries, but the Canadian Year-End Note will not be available until December 1st.

Emergency contacts in an Organization

Is it possible to maintain emergency contacts for an Organization? This is very different from what is maintained in the infotype 0021 (Family Member/Dependents) and sub type 7 (Emergency contact), which are maintained for an employee.
What I am looking for is to maintain emergency contacts at organization level, whom the employees can contact, in case of a fire accident or any other emergency in the workplace.

u can try this solution/suggestion...
u can create a Z relationship and map the relation ship with employee (whom is resposible for the fire and other emergency activities) and orgunit.in the dhoc query or zreport you can get those contact numbers iof the employees to orgunits...
if the emergency contact person is not a employee of the company(contract) --data not maintained system..then it will be problem..
my question for you where do you wanna display these emercy contact information...
if you want to display this portal..
then try for the adhoc query to retrieve the employee info..and create a transaction for the adhoc query with a variant.
then create a iview for the tcode....and map the iview to the ess role

Incase of emergency contacts

Hello and good morning , I am a new Iphone user , been on the Android platform for many years and i see something that appears to be lacking on the Iphone , my last two droids had an I.C.E. contact list , In case of emergency contacts , if something happened to me and the ems crew saw my phone they could check to see who to call in case something happened , so is it something maybe hidden that i dont see or is it just not installed on the phone and if its not does anyone else think this would be a good feature ? ,,thanks and have a good day ...Tim

You can put any contacts you want in the Contacts app and call them "I.C.E.".
Another trick would be to put all the contacts you'd like called in a note in the Notes app, take a screen shot of that note by tapping the Home and power buttons simultaneously and then using that picture as your lockscreen wallpaper. This would make the information available even if the phone was locked with a passcode.

in sap from where, we can get the Employeeu2019s Work cell and Emergency contact phone?? In which infotype , field and subtype?
What about Emergency contact phone? Note that for Emergency contacts, there can be multiple records with current validity. You need to determine if you should show all of them, or only one. There is no way to know which one is the u201Cprimaryu201D contact.

Restoring iPhone 4S' backup failed to restore emergency contacts?

Hello.
Is it me or does restoring iTunes v12.1.1's iPhone 4S (iOS v8.2)'s back up (before upgrading iOS v8.1.2 to v8.2) does not restore Emergency Contacts I stored in a very old, updated Windows XP Pro SP3 machine? I had to re-enter these datas into iPhone 4S.

It sounds like you want to unlock your iPhone and tried to restore it but ran into an issue with that process. If your carrier gave you a new SIM, you can unlock the iPhone without restoring it as shown in the first article below. If you do not have another SIM or just want to resolve the restore issue, try the suggestions in the second article.

How to add a secondary emergency contact in ESS My View

Hi,
We received a request from our Business to add a secondary emergency contact in the ESS under My View -> My Personal information -> Emergency contact. I know that SAP provides subtype 7 for infotype 0021 to store the Emergency contact information and the service PZ18 for adding the same in ESS Portal Iview. But this allows us to store only once emergency contact information. Changing time constraint in order to add multiple emergency contacts is not a soultion because the client did not agree for that. We are planning to create a new subtype (90) for the infotype 0021 in R/3 to store the secondary emergency contact info. But how do I link that subtype to the ESS IView? The standard IView is only picking up subtype 7 and not the custom one (90). Do we need to create a custom IView for this? Or do we need to modify any BAPI/BADI for this? Any idea/suggestion is highly appreciated.

1. You can enahnce the infotype in PM01.. ie add a custom field that can be maintained as '1' for Primary & '2' for secondary..
Youcan restrict the users from going beyond 2 via the Infotype user exit ZXPADU02 or BAdI HRPAD00INFTY..

Validations in isConsistent() for Emergency Contact

Hi,
I am working on Emergency contact screen. I added some validations for telephone number field.
Problem :: Duplicate records are created in backend, when there is a user error in telephone number field
I think when user clicks Save, onFlush() method is flushing both erred record and good record.
Please suggest any advise to avoid this duplicates.

I am doing custom WDJ validation for telephone field in isConsistent() method. When I check for length and return false for invalid length, it works as expected and gives error. But after I correct the error and submit, it creates two records in infotype 21- one record with error values and one record with corrected values.

Health app can't add emergency contact

I Have an iPhone 6 plus iOS 8.2. I can't add my emergency contact in the medical ID section of the health app. I click on "add emergency contact" and it sends me to my contacts. After clicking on the name it either throws me out of the app or nothing happens. Is

Last contact report

Hello,
I hope someone here can help me out.
I want to create a report that lists all machines that have not made contact in over a year.
Two options within the report criteria are Last Load Date and Last Scan Date, but I cannot find a Last Contact Date.
To get around this I've created a dynamic workstation group that selects all devices that made contact on or before a 16/6/2010 (a year ago). I can then create a report for all devices that are in this group.
The problem with this I have to manually change the date for the dynamic group.
Is there a way to either run a report for last contact date, or have on or before date change each day so that it is set to a year ago?
Any help would be appriciated
