Emergency :TNSLSNR has encountered an error and needs to close

Hi, yesterday installed the patch 9593176 and was succesfully. In fact worked by two hours more.
I have microsfot loopback adaptor
my OS is windows vista 32 bits business edition
forms 10g 10.1.2.3.0
Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
Please I need to fix these problem .....

I've had this problem for a while now and I'm just plain sick of it!
Every time I start up iTunes it does the "Determining Gapless Playback" thing, but when it gets to certain songs it freezes up and I get an error message that says:
"iTunes has encountered an error and needs to close"
This happenes to a lot of songs (a few dozen)and the only way I can actually access my library is by hitting the 'x'next to "Determining Gapless Playback" before it gets to the songs. However, now I can't even do that because it gets to the song immediately.
I need to know if I can disable the gapless playback or somehow debug this (I have reinstalled iTunes, Quicktime works, I have reloaded my library, done a system restore,and changed users/startup programs... nothing works)
PLEASE help!

Hi guys,
I'm a huge Apple fan so I obviously decided to upgrade to Apple 7.0.1 the day it came out... installed it. Opened it up, but within just a few seconds i got a Windows message saying
"iTunes has encountered an error and needs to close"
I reinstalled it and still have the same problem.
First few days I could atleast keep iTunes open for a few minutes before the message, but now its down to just a few seconds.
I run Windows XP if that helps any.
Please help me fix this problem or tell me how I can put iTunes 6 back on my computer --- I need my music!

After downloading and installing 7.0.1 my iTunes would not open either. Even worse is you can't go back to v6 if you had v7 running--the database is updated.
Luckily I was able to get my iTunes to open again by doing the following:
Click Start/Run
Type in "%userprofile%\application data\apple computer"
Right click on the iTunes folder and rename it to iTunes.bak.
Close the window.
Click Start/Run again.
Type in "%userprofile%\local settings\application data\apple computer"
Right click on the iTunes folder and rename it to iTunes.bak.
Close the window.
Try opening your iTunes again. It may re-ask some general setup questions, but mine opened without the error, and it still had all my music. However, I did have to re-authorize my computer.
I used to never be leary about updating iTunes... guess Apple's software ain't no peach, either.

Itunes has encountered an error and needs to close...HELP!

I am trying to get my son's new ipod nano ready for music, I have downloaded itunes, but it will not open. When I click on the icon, a message that says "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" It asks if I want to send an error report. I have uninstalled and reinstalled (twice) I do not have Norton or any other anti-virus, apparantly. I have restarted a couple of times. I have ready MANY threads on similar issues, tried most with no luck. any suggestions, son is bgetting anxious-all he has done is look at his new ipod for 2 days!

This error could be caused by a number of things. Try it one more time, and if the error comes up write down what kind of error it is (ie. Symantec, Runtime,). Then do a google search for that. You may be able to find a solution elsewhere.

The result being I cannot encode the file - I have tried this with 3 separate Premier Pro projects, with the same result. Smaller timelines, under 15 min, dont seem to be affected. Initially, we had only 2 GB of RAm, and upgraded to 4 GB of Ram, but that did not help the situtation.
I have seen many posts on here about this issue, but didnt seem to see anything definitive.

I am not running cs5 yet - still cs4. I'll wait this time for others to work out the bugs. Let me clarify, on my desktop - windows XP, 32 bit, I have 3 internal hard drives. I usually have the project on my "media" drive (drive 2) and then export out to my "export" drive (drive 3). My os is on my C drive. My laptop - hp dv7 has one large hard drive. I usually have the project on the c drive in documents and use an external hard drive as the scratch disc (for all the assests). Are these configurations "kosher"?

HELP....itunes has encountered an error and needs to close

I have been following quite a few people with the same problem, nothing i do seems to work. I have been using itunes for years and have burnt many CD. recently i purchased an ipod with video, downloaded realplayer for the mp4 ripping capabilitie....now no matter how many toimes I re install itunes has encountered.....HELP!

I use norton System works and windows XP firewall(not to sure on this, but i'm certain I don't have an installed firewall. The problem truly seemed to begin with downloading realplayer.
I can not remove either Quickplayer or itunes from the add or remove programs through windows, and when I try to reinstall with the disk it asks if I want to remove completley-It's either yes or cancel neither do anything.
What else can I tell you that will help. Thanks for you time.

ITunes has encountered an error and needs to close XP SP3

Hello everyone,
I know you might have discussed this before, but I could not get the right discussion about it. So yesterday, my windows decided to go from XP SP2 to SP3. Internet Explorer got installed and now everytime I try to open iTunes I get the same error. When I check the task manager, I can see iTuneshelper.exe working. Does anybody know how to fix this?. I think Katrina posted something about DEF and give permission to iTunes to run, is that right?

I used RegCleaner and found a lot of bad entries in my registry. Cleaned it, erased any folder for iTunes or Quicktime and rebooted. Installed iTunes+Quicktime again and it worked. Lost everything though. In case somebody might need this information

Whenever I connect my iPad 2 to my PC, then open iTunes, I get an error message telling me that iTunes has encountered an error and needs to close.

I recently updated my iPad 2 to iOS 5 beta 2 and updated iTunes to the second beta. Now whenever I connect my iPad toitunes,it instantly pops up with an error message saying "iTunes has stopped working. A problemcaused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program." iTunes still mdetects my other two iPhones and iPod touch on 3.1.3, 4.1, and 4.2.1. Also, iTunes will recognize my iPad just fine on the administrator account.

You are using ADE on Windows or Mac ? and their versions ??

Hey >< Alright, so i didn't start having this problem until today. It was working fine a week ago, and I've tried tons of options.
(Uninstalling completely and doing completely clean reinstalls,
trying quicktime with it, so on.)
I also have the newest version of itunes installed.
I've tried restarting my computer several times, disabling my virus protection.. Nothing works.
The computer i am using would be a Windows XP Professional; SP3.
The product i am using itunes with would be an Iphone 3GS. Anyway, No matter how hard i try, I've even tried installing older versions.
To no avail. The Error details I'm getting are these:

Each time I try to open iTunes I get an error message that iTunes has encountered an error and needs to close.

How do I fix iTunes. It all of a sudden stopped opening one day? I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but it still won't open. How can this be fixed?

Generate another of those error messages and click the "Click here" link in the error message box. What modname and modver are showing for the error? (Precise spelling please.)
If the error is a BEX and thus doesn't show an modname or modver, let us know what P1 through P9 items are showing for you instead.

Can someone please help me? I have been getting this error all week and everything was fine 2 weeks ago. I have done EVERYTHING under the unexpected quits,freezes or launch issues in the itunes support!!!!! What can I do next? I have even "repaired" itunes.

Safari Has encountered an error and needs to close

Hi I have been having this problem with safari that right after it starts it closes due to an error (thats what it says) I really like safari and i'm waiting on my mac to get here so HELP!

Because i've tried that and it didn't work and i dont have a C:/users folder

IPhoto has encountered an error and needs to close

iPhoto Library 310.66 GB
Mac OS X 10.7.5
When I open iPhoto it either immediately crashes or runtime will vary before I get error message. I have tried (multiple times) all 4 iPhoto library first aid options, to no avail. The repair / rebuild options all complete, but still have same issue upon reopen. Is it possible this is simply a result of corrupt photo(s)? If so, is there a way to find/ remove these easily?
I would be forever grateful if anyone knows of a solution that doesn't require loss of metadata , specifically Faces. I have a family member who is dying and have been asked to create a photo slideshow for the memorial service. Being unable to use iPhoto in present form or trying to find the photos of my loved one among 311GB would seem impossible in the timeframe I have left!

You can select the option to Keep Both when restoring so you will not lose any photos from your current library. That is if you have enought free space on your drive.

I've tried to uninstall and re-install and spent 3 hrs on the phone with Windows tech, but to no avail??? Please any suggestions..seems like alot of other users are having this problem..thanks

Apparently quite a few people have been bumping into the problem that, when trying to update Itunes on windows, it complains about a missing Itunes.msi file. If you Browse for this file however, you’ll find it in the location that it’s supposed to be (C:\Program Files\Apple Software Update\Packages).
I tried a few things to fix this, including downloading the latest iTunes from Apple’s website. After about 30 minutes of digging, I discovered that there’s a very simple fix.
1. Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
2. Install the program (MS Office not required!)
3. Run the program from Start->All Programs->Windows Install Cleanup Utility
4. Click on iTunes, and then click the “Remove” button
5. Run the iTunes installer!

(My Labview built executable) has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I've built a labview executable that interfaces with GPIB and the Texas Instruments EV2300 via USB.
The VI runs beautifully on the development machine, and I built the VI into an executable and it runs fine on the development machine. So I built an installer that installs the Labview 2010 runtime environment on the target computer. I ran the installer on a production line computer that I know can run GPIB and the EV2300, but when I try to start the executable I get an error that says "(your application) has encountered an error and needs to close."
I can get labview executables that don't talk to GPIB or USB to run on the target machine, so it's not the runtime environment. And I have VB6 applications that can run the GPIB and EV2300 interfaces without a hitch.
I'm not doing anything weird with the file paths in my program, just creating paths from strings using the canned VI for converting strings to paths. In the course of the program, I read a few text files and write one.
Is there anything I need to know about how to build an application with an installer? I need to get this up and running so the test program can run on a production line.

Sounds like a VISA problem. Download and install the latest VISA runtime on the target machine.
Ditto that! At least One of the installed drivers on the target does not have LabVIEW 2010 support. Check MAX and NI.com to resolve all the drivers on the target that have no support for 2010.
And yes, you may need to re-qualify the pre-existing exe's- if their code changes to use the new drivers If you are in a heavilly regulated industry. If so, It might be easier to build in an older LabVIEW version. Very sad- but it might even be simpler to incorporate the Unit Test Framework to handle regession testing of older code with newer drivers.
Worse- What if the exe's were built with a legacy version of LabVIEW that is no longer supported by the latest Drivers?
Time to start thinking of life cycle maintenance plans- with a 5 year upgrade required!
