EMET v4.1 not installing on Windows 7 x64

We are testing EMET v4.1 in our environment, and I created a package in SCCM 2007 using the recommended command line from the documentation:
msiexec /i "EMETSetupv4.1.msi" /qn /norestart
When pushed to a Windows XP x32 system via sccm it worked fine to install, and then we configured the settings using the custom ADMX template, and everything is working great.
When pushed to our Windows 7 x64 system's via SCCM it keeps failing, so I tried installing manually and we get the message:
"The advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact your administrator to change the installation user interface option of the package to basic"
Does anyone know why the EMET msi is causing this when set to install using the /qn switch? We use this switch to install many other .msi's via SCCM and have never had this issue before, this seems very weird with a Microsoft branded .MSI.
I changed the /qn to /qb as the message indicates and then we get a message that .net 4 framework is not installed. We have the
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (4.0.30319) installed on our Windows 7 x64 image, I don't see any guidance regarding exactly what version of .net framework is required, does anyone know if the full/extended version is needed
or a newer version?

If you choose "unblock" from the MSI's file properties dialog, redistribute to your DPs, and try to install again, does the issue go away?

I did notice this on the MSI, I will try this and see if it makes a difference. However I did try to just install it locally using the same switches, with the MSI having been unblocked and I still got the same thing. But I will double check this.
Also does anyone have any insight on what .net is required for EMET? I'm going to try the Full .Net 4 framework, since we only have the client profile installed right now.

iCloud Control Panel 2.1 will not install on Windows 7 x64. If I try the to run the install from the Apple Software Updater it the iCloud 2.1 crashes and I get a message that suggests I do a download only and they run it locally. I do that and the install i.e. the exe file just seems to never start even if I try to "Run as Admin"
I go int o task manager and there is no instance of the install running.
What is the issue/work around to this?

I didn't try creating a new user profile. Not sure I completely understand what you're suggesting. I dont't want a new/different profile. I just want to be able to install the update.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

Adobe Flash will not install on Windows 7 x64

I find myself in a bit of a pickle, which I have neither definitive answer nor logic to why this is happening. Whenever I install Adobe Flash I get an error message in a popup window as described below.

First of all I thought…? This can happen if the processor clock is out on the motherboard. I rebooted and checked the time and date stamp in the BIOS and it’s correct. Everything else works fine; it’s just Adobe Flash that is causing the problem. I am running Windows 7 x64 and selected Windows 7 x64 when I installed Flash. Shockwave, Air and all other Adobe applications were fine… it’s just Adobe Flash that is causing the problem. Any Answers would be appreciated; I’m left scratching my head with dismay because I cannot for the life of me know what is causing this error message.
It’s the same for MSIE9 as well it will not install and comes up with the same error message.

I took a second look at the BIOS and didn’t spot this the first time I looked. The time was correct, but out by 20 seconds which was the reason why updates and installations were in disarray. I never would have thought 20 seconds would have made much of a difference. But it does and I corrected the time to the precise seconds to pinpoint accuracy, saved the BIOS and loaded the OS and tried again and it worked first time.
So the moral of this topic is, if you’re getting a message in a window which says the following…

Check the clock on your BIOS first, if the seconds are out but the time is correct, this the likelihood of the problem is being caused by the BIOS clock.

What is the exact error you are getting?
Have you tried to run the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment ?
If that still causes you an error please post your Windows version & edition.
P.S. if your Windows user account has administrative permissions, then you don't need to go into the BIOS to correct your clock; you can do it from withing Windows, either manually, or using Atomic Clock Sync.

   Please upgrade UR windows 7 Service pack to Service pack 2.
   from my knowledge for SQL SERVER 2012 it requires Windows 7 service pack.
   And before installing SQL server 2012 Plz activate .NET framework for that,
   Put UR windows 7 Format CD then,
   Run Command prompt as Administrator and paste following cmd in that
DISM.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:c:\net35 /LimitAccess
it will take 2 min. after that restart your PC and try to install SQL server 2012.
Note: Before installing SQL SERVER again format UR PC/lapy once.
After this if it gives error while installation then plz change ur setup and try again.

CS3 will not install on Windows 7, 64-bit. No error message. Just stops installing. This is a brand new machine. This is one of the first things I'm installing on it. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The disks are fine. I have the programs installed on my two XP machines. When I run the disk, I get the window pop up that says "Initializing Installation for Adobe Creative Suite 3". Then the disk stops spinning and nothing else happens. No error message. Nothing else happens. I'm baffled. I have searched several discussion boards and cannot find anybody that has had a similar install issue like this.

Old_Timer I would recommend reviewing your install logs to determine the exact error message. Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

BootCamp made for Windows Vista would not install in WIndows 7

I am trying to install Bootcamp drivers on Windows 7 with the Mac OS CD that came with my Intel-based iMac. The problem is that I bought my iMac when the latest Windows was Vista, and it would not install on Windows 7. The Bootcamp drivers for Windows 7 on Apple Support pages are "UPDATES" that require BootCamp 3.0 already installed in Windows. However, I cannot install BootCamp 3.0 in the first place, because it would be installed only on Vista. What should I do to have BootCamp installed on my Windows 7 so that I can set the default booting OS to be Mac OS again?

Whereas, not everyone here with an Intel iMac has installed, tried to install or has experience with BC & Windows, everyone there has or at least has an interest. You may attract help more quickly there.

A few questions for starters:
What happens when you try to install the driver?
Do you see any error messages?
How is your printer connected? Wireless, Ethernet, or USB?
Are you able to make copies with your printer?
In the meantime, please try the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Disable any antivirus programs. How to Disable Antivirus in Windows 8?
Disable any firewall programs. Windows Firewall from start to finish.
Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 8).
Re-install using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows .

There is no 'earlier' version that supports XP. iCloud launched with Vista/7 support only.

There have been a number of problems with installing the latest iTunes on Windows 7 64-bit machines during the last couple of weeks. You might want to do a search on that topic and see if anyone has a solution. There have been various versions of the problem but a lot related to errors in the download package or failure to download.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
