EMF Feature Model - Feature Diagram Editor will not install on Mars

Hi,
Please can you help or let me know what I am doing wrong.
Does anyone know if the EMF Feature Model Diagram Editor runs on Mars?
If not, which release?
I'm trying to install the EMF Feature Model Diagram Editor on the Mars release.
1. Installed mars modelling package 64bits on Windows 7 (64bit)
from : https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-modeling-tools/marsr
Run Eclipse:
2. help->install new software:
- from https://wiki.eclipse.org/EMF_Feature_Model/Feature_Diagram_Editor:
- add:
Name: emf feature model
Location: https://wiki.eclipse.org/EMF_Feature_Model#Installation
Pending..., then:
EMF Feature Model:
- EMF Feature Model Meta Model 0.8.0
- EMF Feature Model Evaluation 0.8.0
- EMF Feature Diagram Editor 0.8.0
Select all
Next
Wait a while... then this is displayed:
Feature Diagram Editor will not be installed.
Click on Show Original Error:
Details:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Feature Diagram Editor 0.8.0 (org.eclipse.featuremodel.diagrameditor.feature.feature.group 0.8.0)
Missing requirement: Feature Diagram Editor 0.8.0 (org.eclipse.featuremodel.diagrameditor 0.8.0) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.emf.ecoretools.diagram 1.0.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Feature Diagram Editor 0.8.0 (org.eclipse.featuremodel.diagrameditor.feature.feature.group 0.8.0)

3. Did some google searching. Looks like this is part of ecoretools?
Then Help-> Install Modelling Components
Pick EcoreTools (updates)
A Ecore Diagram Editor, version 3.0.0.201507011611 is listed.
That is installed, successfully and Eclipse restarts.
Repeat Step 2 above.
Same Error.

David,
From what you write, it looks like it depends on a quite old version of
Ecore Tools (and so it's not a very active project producing update site
based on recent versions of other projects). It looks like you can fine
the old version of Ecore tools from this page:
https://www.eclipse.org/ecoretools/download.html
You'd need to add that to your "Available update sites" preferences.

  • T42 - ThinkPad Hotkey Feature Integration Ver. 3.84.1500.0 will not install

I have a T42 - 2373-TG7 and run the ThinkVatage system update ver. 5 program on a regular base. At the moment it will not install the latest Hotkey Feature ver. 3.84.1500.0.
During the istall I'm getting the Notice: "This proram does not support this system".
Than the system update program tells me to istall the Feature manually. When I do that I get the same message.
When I look to the C:\DRIVERS\HOTKEY directory it seems like that the data are there. When I execute the setup.exe program in this directory I get again the same notice "This proram does not support this system".
    Any help is apreciated.
    Regards, viathinkpad.

I think it must be a bug.

  • Ecore diagram editor does not load when I click the (aird) file

When I click on an aird file , which I created for the first time to graphically edit an ecore diagram, the diagram editor does not load, but instead, Eclipse opens the aird file as xml in a text editor! Why this is happening? and how can I solve this? any thoughts?
I am using Eclipse 4.4.2. in mac.
I updated the content, with the hope to get a reply.

    Hi, sorry for the lag.
This might happen depending on the perspective you are using, please try with the "Modeling" perspective.
You should be able to load the .aird using right-click=>open and then see the corresponding diagrams as childs of the .aird file.

Hi, Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below: Solution 1:1. Close Elements.2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences. Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list. Solution 4: On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:    Go  to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain  plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere  else.    Now launch PSE and check if it works.    For related post for Twain please see this:http://forums.adobe.com/message/2954743#2954743 Thanks,Garry

  • PSE 12 editor will not launch

I am sorry if this is a duplicate but I don't think my first one posted.
I have the full version but the editor will not launch.  It asks for my Adobe password and then the screen goes blank.
Should I uninstall it and try again?

Under C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\12.0\editor\ there are files on the desktop which are not on the laptop (see the next three screen shots).  Does this have anything to do with it?  Why wouldn’t they be on the laptop since I loaded it from the same CD?
Is the version on the laptop not registered or activated?

Photoshop 11 Editor will not open. Also I can edit in quick edit, but when I do copy of picture is sent to recycle bin. I am using Windows 7

I have solved the problem myself.  I noticed when running Task Manager
that I was using a lot of resources (>60% CPU) when running Organizer.   I
disabled Auto Analyzer and Face Recognition and all is fine now.  I will  add
one or the other a little at a time to see which is actually  causing the
    problem.

  • Editor will not open.  How to fix?

We had our printer software worked on yesterday.  Now the PSE8 editor will not open.  The words "launching editor" shows up for several seconds then nothing happens.  The organizer opens fine.  I tried deleting the settings with the control-alt-shift combination and that did not help.  I also uninstalled then reinstalled the PSE8 software and that did not fix it either.  How can I repair this?

Try right clicking the desktop icon or the edit button on the welcome screen and choose “Run As Administrator”

Re- name SLCache folder present at location "<root drive:>\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache"  (to oldSLCache for example)
Win: Also rename opm.db on your machine to resolve this issue @  <root drive>\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE  (to oldopm.db for example)
         Mac : Users Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
