EMF graphic format - vertical white lines on iPad4

Hi All,
I'm using Enhanced Meta File format to create graphics which are imported in to a Word document and printed to PDF with Acrobat 7.
On iPad4 - the end result has vertical white lines like those shown in the graphic below (hope the graphic appears...).
The vertical white lines do not appear on an iPad2.
Any assistance as to how/why the lines appear on the iPad4 and how to remove / prevent them would be greatly appreciated.

Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. Take the pictures of the display with you just in case the MBP does nor repeat this phenomenon.

Satellite M65-S9063 - Vertical white lines appearing down the screen!

Hi all - any ideas...
Model M65-S9063 Approximately 3 weeks ago a vertical white line appeared down the screen, it's around a mil thick.
Then yesterday a second one has appeared, slightly thinner this time. They're always there even after a reboot! It doesn't look as though any video is being displayed as they're always white. I was wondering graphics card perhaps? Or maybe the LCD itself?
Anyone seen this before??

Hi!
You can simply determine the reason of this issue. Connect an external monitor the notebook and see what happens.
If you can notice the same error on the external screen, its a problem of the graphic card or display driver. If you dont have this issue on the external screen, you should go to an authorized service provider for exchanging the internal screen.
If you use a non Toshiba display driver you should remove it and test it with original Toshiba drivers.

When I turn on my iPod Touch 5th generation, half of the screen has vertical white lines and it is irresponsive to the touch... is there anyway this can be fixed because this is my third time in the last 4 months I have had problems with Apple.

The screen looks completely normal besides the vertical white lines on the right hand side of the screen, as the "slide to unlock" is lighting up and the time and date are changing, but the screen is unresponsive. After several problems with Apple in the last few months (and two defective iPods including this one and one iPhone), I really don't want to go through the whole process of bringing it in or getting a new one entirely. It would greatly help if someone knows a solution, even if that would require completely resetting the iPod to factory settings, as I have had is synced to iTunes before. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help. Thanks.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Seems like a bad digitizer or connection or logic board.

     Hi Frank.
     I have just had jb Atlanta's problem while adjusting the contrast on a photo. I was creating a slideshow at the time. After a lot of reading up I was about to give up when I tried restoring the file to its original settings as you suggested. Bingo!
     However, that would only work for me, if I restored the settings while in the slideshow. All data had 'disappeared' when I attempted to open the photo in its original project folder.

Vertical white lines along edges of still frames

I am using Premiere Elements 1.0 with Windows Vista in XP compatibility mode. I have inserted some still frames which are bitmaps with a black background. When I make a DVD the still frames have a vertical white line along one edge. Even when the bitmaps are resized so that they are bigger than the picture area the white lines remain. Does anybody know how I can get rid of the lines?

Try the flicker remover, right click on the clip and select Field Options/Flicker Removal - or something close to that ;) I hope that existed in version 1, don't remember for sure.
Sounds like your photos might be too large, are they much larger than 1000 x 750?

Vertical white lines

All my imported clips show a multitude of vertical white lines. When I open the clips in Quicktime, there are no lines. Also, when I import the clips into a trial version of HD iMovie there are no white lines. Thanks.

Still clips may display as black and white vertical lines in your iMovie 4 project.

Camera has vertical white line

Just recently I was going to take a picture when I noticed that there was a vertical white line that went from the bottom to about 3/4 up the screen just off the center to the right.
There are no scratches or anything on the outside casing so my guess is that it is the camera itself. My recite says I am still under warranty however I don't have apple care.
What would be my best bet?

If no change after the standard troubleshooting steps which in order are power your iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset, restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, and restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, if your iPhone remains under the standard one year warranty ,you can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Vertical White Line on Screen

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook computer. There is one vertical white line about 1/3 the way in on the screen. It goes from the top to the bottom and appears to be just about a pixel or two in width. I used to be able to tilt the laptop display to make it go away. Now it is permanent. It shows on BIOS too. Is there a way to make it go away? Super annoying. Of course, I am out of warranty. Thanks for any help/suggesions.
ps I read the links on the other kind of lines, green, colored, etc. this is just one thin white line.

I too had the same vertical white line in the centre of the screen last night after having my iPhone 5 up and running for 10 days. I managed to turn it off by holding the buttons in and it came up with the iTunes screen....2 hours later it came good?

I was talking outside on my iPhone 5 in a fairly humid environment (The Pilbara in January, 2014) then when the call was finished I hung up (as I was walking back inside to the air-conditioning) this white vertical line appeared in the centre of the screen and wouldn't go away. I couldn't use it NOR could I accept calls. (I called my number from my other phone). I eventually managed to turn it off after removing the protective casing (Otter Box) and then it came up with the white cord / iTunes screen........I left it for a while...it turned back on BUT is still had a flickering screen.......I re-charged it and I have backed it up this morning (at work) on iTunes and it seems to be working 'fine.' All I can say is 'DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR SAMSUNG GALAXY PHONE IF YOU HAVE ONE!' I haven't had an OUNCE of trouble with it and have owned it for at least 3 years. The iPhone has been up and 'running' since the 6th of January, 2014. This happened on the 15th of January, 2014.

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Thin vertical white lines across screen

I've got what looks like white vertical pinstripes (alternating 1 and then 2 together) across my screen. What does this indicate? The stripes are white, and do not show up on a white background.

I dropped my iPhone 4s and now vertical white lines appear. i cannot plug it in or turn it off. if i do go to the genius bar and replace it, since i haven't backed it up recently can i do anything to keep any of my contacts, pictures, etc?

it has been like this for an hour or so. no buttons work. it is completely nonresponsive.

If the phone does not show up in the device list in iTunes on your computer, you can't back it up anymore.
If your phone is set to back up to iCloud, at least your contact info and photos should have been backed up, if you selected those items to be included in the backup.
Did you try to connect in recovery mode?

White line to aid in aligning clips?

There used to be a vertical white line with arrows that would pop up when I was dragging one clip to the beggining/end of another clip on my timeline.. but now it no longer shows up. Does anyone know how I can get this feature back?
It was very handy in not accidentally cutting off seconds when I drag one clip to the end of another..

I think you are looking for the snap.
Make sure the icon with the Magnet is pressed in.

White line down screen

I have a satellite P105-S6124. A one inch vertical white line is on screen. What causes this and can it be repaired? Its always there and never goes away.

Probably a defect in the screen. You can verify that by using an external monitor and seeing if it gets a white line down the screen too. If it doesn't, you've got a bad screen or possibly the video cable. Screens are expensive. Hopefully the computer is still under warranty.
