Empathy not displaying notifications when contacts sign on

I have recently decided to give Gnome 3 a try. I have run into an issue with notifications from Empathy. I receive popup and audio notifications when a contact sends me a message, and I am getting audio notifications when contacts sign in; however, I do not receive any sort of pop up notification when this occurs. I have checked the boxes for notifications-contact-signin and notifications-enabled under org.gnome.Empathy.notifications in dconf Editor. In searching for a solution to this problem, I found references to a "Notifications" tab under Empathy's preferences, but I assume that has been removed from the newer versions, as I do not have that tab.
Have sign in notifications been removed from Empathy, or have I misconfigured/neglected to install something?
Please let me know if there are any specific logs that would be of assistance.

Yes, I have installed Telepathy-(farstream, gabble, glib, haze, idle, logger, mission-control, rakia, salut).
I have also installed libnotify.

Mac messenger doesn't show alerts when contacts sign in

it was not until yesterday that this has happened. i don't receive alerts when contacts sign in anymore, only when they message me. all the boxes except display alerts when my status is do not disturb is unchecked. (no, my status is not on do not disturb).
i've tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it.
i've tried clearing my account history.
i've tried checking it, then unchecking it, then signing out then back in.
anyone have any ideas?

Why exchange rate is not displayed correctly when I create the PO in SRM?

Yesterday I insert a new row at OB08 tx. at backend system (R/3) for exchange rate of May 17,2010, the value was 10.00. Then I run the BBP_GET_EXRATE program to replicate the info to SRM.
But when I created a purchase order (PO) the value was 12.24 for exchange rate (this value 12.24 is the value for the previous day May 16, 2010).
Today morning (May 18, 2010), I inserted another row at R/3 and replicated to SRM, the new value for May 18 was 11. I create another PO and the value was 10 for exchange rate (the value for yesterday).
But when the PO is transmitted to R/3, the exchange rate is the correct.
My question is: Why exchange rate is not displayed correctly when I create the PO in SRM? Exists an aspect of memory in SRM that it has to be refreshed? Why SRM is getting the exchange rate for yesterday? Is an issue for time zone?

I'm in Extended classic.
I already discovered what is happening. At the time of being creating the purchase order (PO), it takes the exchange rate of the delivery date of the shopping cart (SC). But when the order is authorized and tries to transmit it to R/3, it takes the exchange rate of the date of creation of the PO.
Two checks of budget exist:
1.- When creating PO (exchange rate date of delivery date of the SC's item)
2.- When authorized and tries to transmit it to R/3 (exchange rate date of creation date of the PO)
If exchange rate of delivery date of the SC is lower than exchange rate date of creation of the PO, there are cases in which it is marking budget error.
Now my question is: It is a standard behavior? (to take different exchange rate)

PDFs not displaying images when opened in Google Chrome.

My PDFs are not displaying images when opened in Chrome. They do display in other browsers and when saved to the desktop. I have tested on multiple machines. "... a known Chrome issue." The resolution lies with Google for this - nothing you can do (other than disable the "in house" browser add-on and enable Adobe's (if you have Reader or Acrobat installed)).
A similar issue exists with other, contemporary, browser releases.
The "fix" is these software houses to deploy PDF viewer browser add-ons that actually comply with ISO 32000.
Perhaps their lazy approach reflects the attitude of "Hey, Adobe will get the hit not us."
Provide your users a feed-back mechanism; you'd be able to respond with the suggestion that they ping on the appropriate software houses to provide adequate software.

Data selected is not displaying but when refresh the browser it displays

The system brings back a record after the record is selected from the database. The data is in memory but is not display. When the browser is refreshed, the data displays.

Sorry but this is an internal system. The problem is baffling because there seems to be no consistency in its patterns. Sometimes when we pull up an account, it would show the info. Other times the same information does not come up. We thought it could be missing records, i.e. orphaned rows, but this isn't the case. It is quite odd and especially hard to bug because we can't consistently replicate it.

Outlook 2010 ThumbnailPhoto not displayed for local contacts

I'm running Exchange 2010 SP2 with Outlook 2010 clients. We are running Lync 2010 and have been using the thumbnail photos for some time now. However, we've found an issue with images showing consistently in Outlook 2010 and are hoping there
is an easy fix for this.
1. The user has a smartphone and decides to search the GAL for a user from the smartphone and then "add to contacts" from there. This adds the contact to the users Outlook contacts WITHOUT the image. From this point on the user won't see that
contact's thumbnail photo in emails.
2. Lync automatically adds "frequent contacts" into the users contact folder WITHOUT the thumpnail photo. From this point on the user won't see that contact's image in emails.
3. A user who is working offline decides to copy a contact from the OAB to their local contacts. From this point on the user won't see that contact's thumbnail photo in emails.
The fix for this is to have the user delete the contacts without thumbnails from their contacts folder and then re-add them from the GAL while connected to AD (i.e. NOT from their smartphone). This isn't a great solution and I'm hoping there is an
easier way to manage this.

In fact, we upload pictures to Active Directory using the
Import-RecipientDataProperty cmdlet. By default, thumbnailPhoto is included in the OAB as an Indicator attribute. This means the value of the attribute isn't copied to the OAB— instead, it simply
indicates the client should get the value from Active Directory. If an Outlook client (including Outlook Anywhere clients connected to Exchange using HTTPS) can access Active Directory, the thumbnail will be downloaded and displayed. When offline, no thumbnail
downloads.
And please check the if lync client chosen Default corporate picture .

Caller ID for incoming calls NOT displaying name from contacts (only displays phone # on BB Z10)

on the Z10 Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID only shows the phone #, even when I have that number matched to a contact in the phone, even the call log it show the number and not the name. Thank you Arsen but, as with everyone else : (1) When you get an in-coming call, it has no call log on the phone app call log that allows you do a thing under the sun except to touch the number of the last call, and when you do, it CALLS THEM BACK. (2) On every other BlackBerry I have owned, about 10 to-date, I simply selected the last in-coming call and had a button at the bottom of the screen to allow me to ADD TO CONTACTS. (3) This does NOT exist on the Z10, and there certainly is no "Click on number, little slider pops on the right, select add to contact." Instead it dials them. Frustrating other uses have described Arsen. Further, while on the topic : (4) None of this has anything to do with 10-digit national dialing plan or anything else on swipe finger down from top in Phone App, Arsen. (5) When you swipe Phone App down, you see SETTINGS. Then, there are 13 items. I have looked at all 13 items and see nothing as you describe to select, nor any instructions on what to set the SMART DIALING to when there are 3 area codes local for my city and country code shows +1. Further, while on topic here : (6) Visual Voice Mail has been turned-on and whatever visual voice mail is, never supported on any previous BlackBerry including my 9780 before this, I have it with T-Mobile and have it turned on on the BlackBerry Z10 and it too does not work. On the positive side, I do have a work-around for BlackBerry Z10 to 2013 Toyota entune. (7) I first took a vm msg .wav file of just hello (blank will not send) and saved it on BlackBerry Z10. The Toyota entune is LOOKING for a music and will LOCK-UP if none are found. By giving it this, it worked on my 2013 Toyota entune for the 1st time ever. Yeah ! It is a little frustrating every few minutes listening to myself say HELLO. But, hey no one really notices it with all the other stuff going on NAVIGATION, radio, cell phone calls, and all the computerized alerts on 2013 Toyota even without entune. (8) What I did now was to go into Navigation and remove SYNC with MUSIC. I accomplished that after pairing to Z10 to 2013 Toyota, by CANCELLING ALL CONNECTIONS leaving only the pairing itself. Then, you must choose some connections in the pairing section of SET-UP within Navigation itself. If you cannot even get to that point, try depressing on the Navigation Screen, INTERNET at which point it will allow you access to SET-UP when you see the message NO ENTUNE APP FOUND ON YOUR BlackBerry Z10. Red-headed step-child is what we all are. Have to help each other. Arsen I appeciate you helping all of us. Seems the list is about 20 who have voiced it here in this one thread. We voice it for the 200 million BlackBerry users worldwide, all left out in the cold despite a pretty cool Z10 product. Far better than iPhone 5. I chose phone and internet. Internet comes back no BLACKBERRY Z10 TOYOTA ENTUNE APP. But, at least now I don't have to hear the music HELLO and do not also have the BlackBerry Z10 LOCKED-UP with pop up message you have to say OK to 10 million times to clear and never can actually do a thing on the BlackBerry Z10 as a result. Cannot add an in-coming call to Contacts Z10. Cannot see name and number calling me, just the bloody number, no clue who is calling ridiculous. Thanks so much! The problem was the security settings. I switched the content protection for "contacts included" to "no" and now my contact info shows up on the incoming call display! Thanks again for your help!

Dialer not displaying incoming / outgoing contact ...

Hello Guys,
On my Lumia 920, the phone dialer will not display the name of the incoming or outgoing contacts if they are saved in international format.
So if my country code is for example +961 and X number is saved as +961-x-xxxyyy, when X calls me from x-xxx-yyy, his name is not shown !!
I keep my contacts in international format since I travel a lot but when I'm home, none of the local country number saved on my phone are recognized.
Kindly advise.

My contacts do not display in the contacts section.

All of the information is present in call history and I can search my contacts when sending a text. This means that the contact info is there but just not displaying properly. This happened when I upgraded to 5.0. I have a backup file on iTunes but the backup time and date is more recent than the update. Any ideas?

I then logged onto iCloud at www.icloud.com after my contacts were there "thank God". I then made sure my phone was connected via wi-fi. Then when I brought up contacts the screen flashed on and off. I re-entered contacts and they were all displayed.
Sounds like a wierd glitch related to getting iCloud up and running.
