Emploee/ Position Integration in PPOME

Hi,
I`m running a hire with IT0 and IT1. I`m loading the employee data through LSMW. After the upload, I can see the employees being hired with relevant data in PA30. But when I get into PPOMe transaction and see if the position in being properly assigned to employee or not, I could see that the position is still empty and is not being assigned to the employee.
Can anyone suggest as to what can be done to get the assignement of position to an employee from OM side.
Regards,
Farhana.

Hi Manoj,
The PLOGI switch is already ON, and also we tried running these reports , but still it does not works.
I can see the OM_PA integration from PA side.. ( i.e from PA30 -> IT0001) and not from OM side (thru transaction PPOME).
Please help us resolve the issue.
Regards,
Farhana.

  • HR 4.6C - OM: Copying  positions - Use of PPOME

    Hello,
I am supporting SAP HR (OM/COMP/PA)and I am looking for alternative to The transaction PPOME that will allow user to copy positions. If there is not such transaction are there ways to restrict something such as PPOME so that they could only copy positions.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mike

This is somewhat speculative with respect to PPOME but you should be able to set  up authorizations using authorization object PLOG so that a user can see all the objects available in PPOME but can only create positions.

  • How is workflow assigned to positions and particular company code / plants

    Hi Everyone,
We have updated a system with a new company code and corresponding new plants for profit center update. Now, they want the workflow handling of INVOIC, DESADV and ORDRSP to still be maintained. There is an existing workflow for error handling on these messages for the  old company code and plants. The workflow items are sent to certain positions maintained in PPOM. Now, I am requested to create new positions that will receive the notifications for errors on incoming invoices, order responses and dispatch advices for the new company code/plants. Creating new positions and assigning agents to them is quite easy but my problem is where to specify the information about the company code and plants. For the existing positions, only the Basic data tab is maintained where only an abrreviation of the position and its definition need to be entered.
Right now, the workflow items for the new company code and plants are directed to a position that already exists in PPOM before the project. So how can I have the workflow items be directed to a new position that I will create?
I hope someone can provide an answer to this. Thanks!

    Hello
Are the workflows custom or standard ones?
You need to check the workflow definition as to how they are designed to get the Positions and then change accordingly. The email task may be assigned to positions directly, or there is some custom code or a Workflow Rule.....First get to the agent determination (by going to Workflow Definition) and then you may change the "logic" for positions.

  • Teamviewer - All positions in Org Unit display depth between EP5 and EP6

We are in the process of upgrading our HR Portal from Version 5 to Version 6 (SP14) and have encountered an issue with the Team viewer functionality.
In our EP5 system when the user selects the dropdown option for 'All positions in org unit' it is picking up our Configuration limiting it to showing only 3 structure levels and when an attempt is made to display lower levels the expander changes but no more levels are shown (e.g. Expander icon changes but does not render the lower level).
In our EP6 system when the user selects the dropdown option for 'All positions in org unit' it is ignoring the same Configuration and lets the user select down to the bottom of the organisation. This will obviously have serious performance implications and so must be corrected if we are to implement this upgrade.
To test the situation we deployed the following par files from our EP5 system to our EP6 system and found that we achieved the required result of only allowing the configured levels to be shown:
    com.sap,pct.hcm.objectanddatprovider.par
    com.sap,pct.hcm.orgmanagementeventing.par
    com.sap,pct.hcm.teamviewer.par
This points to an issue between these files from the EP5 version to the EP6 version.
Has anyone else experienced an issue with how the EP6 teamviewer handles the 'All positions in Org Unit' selection, and if so can you let me know any solution you have to it?
(Note: This selection used Eval Path MDTSBESX)

    Hello Sandeep,
Unfortunately the only standard functionality is to change the rankings of the positions within transaction ppome. Therefore you have the buttons 'Move up in rank' and 'Move down in rank' in the overview area of the ppome. As you know if the field PRIOX in the table hrp1001 is empty, the transaction sorts the positions by OBJID. So perhaps you could create a abap program to change this standard functionality to insert values into field PRIOX for the corresponding relationship in HRP1001 that you want to sort.

  • Changing personnel area/subarea (IT1008) from org unit to position

We are live with PA and Org. Mgmt, but have been advised to change the infotype 1008 data - personnel area and subarea to be stored on the position instead of the org unit (where we have it now).  A big reason for this is we have cases when we need to overwrite the personnel subarea at the position level.  For example, a position belonging to an org unit with subarea ABCD, may really be in subarea WXYZ.  Therefore, even though the org unit is ABCD, it will be overwritten at the position level to WXYZ.  My understanding is that the RHINTE30 program will not work approrpiately if we are maintaining the data this way.
In transaction PPOME there is an account assignment tab on the org unit with cost center (filled in) and personnel area/subarea (which will be blank moving forward since that data won't be maintained on the org unit).  Then, there is also an account assignment tab on the position with cost center inherited from the org unit (sometimes needing to be overwritten at the position level), and the personnel area/subarea data.  My question is how should I handle the view of PPOME for this data?  Can I hide the personnel area and subarea on the account assignment tab for the org units only so it is not confusing for the users?  The problem with having it this way is that personnel area and subarea are blank on the org unit and filled on on the position.  They are conflicting and both visable/maintainable to the User.  Any advise please?  Thanks!

    Hi Nish,
I gave you my input on your other related message and now will go for this one.
As I commented on the other message, RHINTE30 will not integrate infotypes 1008 and 1013. So you don't have to worry about using this functionality (first part of your message).
On the second part (personnel area / subarea on position rather than org unit): there are some considerations here that are more functional / process driven than technical. From a technical point of view, everything can be done. You can hide data from infotype 1008 on the tabstrip for your org. unit using dynpro handling, even via customizing. You can even transfer the data from infotype 1008 on the org. units to the positions or delimit it on the org units. There are some quite easy ways of achieving this using the LMSW tool (have you used it? I can forward some documentation).
But personally, I would not recommend to do this from a process point of view. Everything in SAP HR is about the inheritance concept, and I think this works very well when it comes to org. units and positions. It is normally advisable to record personnel area / subarea on the org. unit level. This will be inherited by positions (even if you cannot see it at position level in PPOME) and thus defaulted for the employee. At position level you should handle only the exceptions, which will be in turn also defaulted for the employee holding the position. In this way, data maintenance is minimized. If you delete (or do not use from now on) information about infotype 1008 on org. unit level, your HR department will have to maintain this every time a position is created, and even in cases in which a position is shifted from one org. unit to another one.
In my opinion, you should address this with your HR department and explain the concept and the consequences of maintaining all at position level. It would only be advisable to do it if the org. unit structure is very cross-personnel areas and subareas. If it is a matter of handling exceptions, again, I would recommend to continue recording this data at org. unit level. All in all, if the data is not recorded on the position and you need to see which is its personnel area, you just need to double-click on the org. unit above.
Just wanted to let you know my opinion, of course it's your decision. By the way, I'm of course not aware of other possible implications like home-developed reporting and so on.
    Regards,
    Rodrigo

  • Display positions in Org unit sorted by Position Desc

    Hi All,
Can you please let me know how the positions in an Org unit can be displayed in sorted order by position description? Like in PPOME when you display/change an Org unit we should be able to see similar positions displayed together in sorted order based on their description and not the eight digit object id.
    Thanks!

  • Add custom infotype on ppome

    Hi all,
I'm struggling with adding a custom infotype (tab) to a position in transaction PPOME.
I searched on sdn and the net, but I'm not able to find a solution.
Problem is that the tab is displayed, but there's only the message 'no subscreen found' displayed.
    I've done following steps :
    - created the infotype using PM01
    - created subscreen 7000 using PPCI
    - added subscreen 7000 in table T77ID
    - adapt the sequence of the framework in SPRO
I'm sure that I'm missing something, but what ?
    Thanks for the help !

  • Multiple position for one central person and one user

    Dear Guru's,
I have a requirement to create multiple position for a existing User - which already has CP Central Person and S Position.
How to create this new position and assign the same CP to all the new positions ?
    Thanks and regards,
    Anil Rajpal

    Hi
Yes you can definitely do this
Create the new position and assign the CP to this position in transaction PPOME. You may find the position first there in PPOME, and then drag-drop the CP over the position to make the assignment. System will ask the percentage of responsibility.......which you will ve to enter...

  • PPOME ,pers no,EE group,EE subgroup, pers area not appear in Basic data tab?

    Hi Friends,
I am new to SAP HR. I am trying to assign a person for a position in tcode PPOME. After that I could not see Pers No,Name,EE group,EE subgroup,Pers area details are  not appear  in Basic data tab. But for other persons which are all exist already in system ,I can see pers no,name,EE group,EE subgroup, pers area details. Could you advice what will be the issue?. Thnak you.
    Regards,
    Hock Teck..

    Hi Rajesh / Thomaselsy,
Thanks for your response. Pls see my below output,
                 1.    Plogi Orga value is 'X'.
2.I create person in PA with pers area ,ee group,ee sub group details and i can see all these details in PA0001 table. I did not create pers area, ee group ,ee subgroup for position ids. I wanted to see those pers area,ee group,ee subgroup detail, from pa0001, in PPOME under basic data tab.
3.Whether I assign position id to a person in PA40 or assign a person in PPOME to a newly created position id,in both cases I can see details are updated in both PA0001 and HRP1001 tables correctly.
4.I also tried to assing a position id to a person in PA40 and then through PPOME i tried to assign new position id for that same person. Then I can see new position id got  replaced in PA40 properly.
But when I double click on person in PPOME, I could not see pers no,name ,ee group,ee subgroup, pers area under basic data tab..Pls let me know how to proceed further..

  • Error while Copy Position

    Hello All,
I have recd a strange error while coping the position through PPOSE/PPOME.
They have made some deveploments in the client system.
When ever one creates the positions in the above with the above 2 transactions, the system first asks for MOLGA i.e country grping.
    i.e 1) select any postiton
        2) click on copy position
        3) system gives pop up to enter the "Molga" for that particular country in which you are creating psotions.
In our org structure, it is divided on Geographical areas. i.e asia pacific, Latin America etc.
eg: I wanted to create positon for malaysia area, i need to select Molga as 14.
    4) once we enter the molga, the system throws an Error with Green tick mark " Error during copying. The action has been interrupted"
though its a green tick mark error, the system doesnt move further.
Ideally in IDES we can copy a positon.
We try to debug the transaction but couldnt find anything imp.
Is this a config setting in backend? Please advice.
    Thx & regds,
    Nithi

    Hi Ram,
please check, if the note 1396300 is implemented in your system?
If so,  check the table T777F.
It should have the following entries:
    MANDT ISTAT INFTY  FCODE
    002   1     ****   AEND
    002   1     ****   COP
    002   1     ****   CUTI
    002   1     ****   DEL
    002   1     ****   DISP
    002   1     ****   INSE
    002   1     ****   LISD
    002   1     ****   PLVO
In case these entries are missing, please do an adjustment with your 000-client.
    Hope this help

  • Add'l Occupancy & Transfer option while assigining a person to position OM

    Hi,
I am posting this question again.
While we assign a person to the position in OM (PPOME / PPOCE) & what is the use of the option Additional Ocupancy & Transfer.
Hope this time i would get the answser
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi Nsr.Rajesh.,
First of all, you should not use PPOME to move persons to positions. We have PA actions for that like reorganization, position change etc.
Coming to additional occupancy/transfer, my understanding is that additional occupancy does not update the 008 relationship and vacancy record for position on OM side and IT0001 on PA side. Transfer gives you option to set dates for relationship which would delimit the previous record, delimit vacancy record and automatically update IT0001.

  • Animating the Camera in AE

For years and years I tried to animate the camera in AE.
I MUST deactivate the 2 node option or I'll burst into a rage within 2 minutes.
    And the auto orient too.
I tried parenting to a null, with and without split coordinates.
The null isn't really on the same spot as the camera when youy start.
I don't know if that is the reason but the movement gets nervous: no good angle and position interaction.
I tried using the numeric sliders.
Tiresome fiddling, as the system sticks to world coordinates when you do that.
    I tried the unifified cameratool.
It seems so luxurious, until you try tweak things and discover the orient system creates bogus curves.
I tried swith between world-, local- and view axis.
That system doesn't work at all.
    Nothing happens.
I'd like to meet the camera system designer.
    Have a word.
The ONLY way I get reasonable and fast plus predictable 3D animations in AE is when Imparent EVERY object to a master null and animate that.
Perfect moves, great angle and position integration.
Only this is so lame, so not professional.
Can't Adobe just copy the lightwave camera engine?

I made a large map. The camera looks down. I wanna land in an angle close up and then move over the map.
As I land, the map completely rotates out of the view.
    Extra keyframes introduces horrible wonks.
    I tried every system.
Parenting to a null caused weird wonks right away when landing.
Then I just parented ALL OBJECTS to a null.
    Zero problems.
The only thing you need to know, is that position keyframes must be set on linear in their spatial curve, when they act up.
It took me months to find out about that. Terrible waste of heart tissue.
I totally had it with the AE camera.
There is NO WAY I'm ever gonna master it.
After trying ALL these years, I think I'm done.
I'll stick to the stupid parenting method, as that seems to be the ONLY predictable and controllable method for me.
I think the inconsistencies between temporal and spatial interpolation are the biggest problem, plus the stupid absolute axi.
A very sad moment; I've actually given up.
My only hope is a development of a relative camera control from the viewport, with translating axi which makes the camera a constant origin.
Fiddle free, like in lightwave. I can't get the hang of the AE system.
Further more, the need for dimension splitting to get to the tangent handles is also irritating.
Not to mention the value tangent handles act nasty half of the time too.
This is supposed to be an animation tool. It's more like a collection of workarounds.
Doesn't anybody over at Adobe see this?

  • PO workflow maintenance

    Hi all,
I have currently changing the workflow settings for "Position" using transaction PPOME.
Under "Position" folder, there are many defined positions, each with users assigned.
Need advises to perform the followings as i am new to workflow maintenance:
    1) Create a new user under "User" folder;
    2) Assign this user to an existing position in the "Position" folder.
    thanks!

Mass will not work for this
rather use the Fast change button on the PO
go to your PO in ME22N adn click on the Fast change button next to copy button in the Item overivew block
    Above Item detail screen
click on this and take the GR based invoice verification to the left and hit enter
now select X  and hit enter
it will add to all the items.

  • Removing User Admin Rights

I am currently assisting in managing a domain of 3-4000 users. All of our users have administrative privileges on their machines. We are looking into several different ways of removing these administrative rights for obvious security reasons.
I have read about privilege management software like Avecto, but it would be great if you could utilize something like Restricted Groups in Active Directory or SCCM 2012R2 to achieve this somehow.
I read about Restricted Groups here:
    http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles-tutorials/windows_os_security/Using-Restricted-Groups.html
I am wondering if we can achieve this by deploying these Restricted Group GPO's.  I understand that these GPO's are linked to computer accounts though, but from what I am under the impression I can restrict adding accounts to the admin group and explicitly
    allow other accounts.
Our AD functional level is 2008R2 and 99% of our workstations are running Win7 32-bit.  Has anyone had any experience removing user administrative rights without purchasing third-party software?

We are in the process of deploying Avecto Privilege Guard (new name is DefendPoint).
We are doing this in conjunction with revising our GPP-Local Users & Groups settings (which we decided to use some time ago, instead of using classic Restricted Groups).
You'll need to use some method (and GP seems to be a good one) to take control of the local Administrators group membership.
Avecto PG can/will block all attempts to modify that group (due to its anti-tamper protections), but, presumably like us, you will need to evict unauthorised members of that group, and then protect that group from further modifications.
We also found, that the anti-tamper protections of Avecto PG, even prevent GP from cleaning up the group members, and it was suggested to us by Avecto support, that we create Avecto PG policy which allows the LocalSystem to bypass the protection. (GP CSE's
like this, will run in LocalSystem context)
You don't need Avecto PG to remove admin rights, you can do it with Domain GP. But, how do you maintain that position/integrity? And, how do you then allow users to perform some tasks, tasks which require privilege but your organisation approves of those
tasks being performed by users, but Windows doesn't allow that?
There are many types of technical controls to implement "security" (if that is your goal), but, you will find that each and every control can be bypassed with enough time and effort. Especially if your users are the determined type of person, who
also considers that their need to "do that thing" will make them productive/happy - they will ignore all company policies in pursuit of that productivity/happiness (or so it seems to me from my experience)
IT Support efforts/costs will rise, not drop - we are seeing this already.
Hatred towards IT (both systems and the people in IT) is also rising.
