Employee Group Change after terminating an employee

Hi,
My company has SAP HR Configuration setup...
When I execute an action "Terminated" for an employee a group of ITs are triggered (0014, 0015, 0026) and after saving them i still see the employee Active in IT 0001.
Can any one help me out with this issue ?

Thanks for the reply.
Actually while urdergoing the action "Termination", IT 0001 is triggered and i changed the EE group to terminated but after saving the record its not reflected in IT0001.
It still shows the EE Group to be Active.
If this is not the field to be looked at, how can you differentiate Terminated and active employees.

Hi Shajish,
There are three scenarios when you may need to change hiring date:
1) After payroll is run - when hiring date is before actual Hiring date.
2) After payroll is run when hiring date is after actual Hiring Date.
3) Before the payroll is run.
1) PA30 -- Copy actions info type - action type - incorrect entry -- save and come out PA 30 copy actions info type -- action type - correct entry - now correct your entries, save your date is changed.
2) PA30 - Utilities - change payroll status - delete accounted to field, save and come out - then again utilities change entry leaving date - correct the hiring date - save and come out.
3) PA30 - Utilities change entry/leaving date change your date and save.
Try this aslo
Go to PA30
Enter personnel number.
Select action infotype.
Select subtype hire mini master record.
Change to new date.
Under reasons, select new position.
Click save.

Change employee group and sub group

Hi all,
During the new hire if an employees group and subgroup are enetered wrongly, how shouldl they be corrected. We have scenarios when the emplooyes group and sub group are corrected after a month or so and the users want to correct the same
How do we do it?

Goto PA40 reselect the same Hire action for this employee and click execute. In IT0000 screen enter the new EG/ESG.
and save it. Then Save the IT0001, then fill rest of the infotypes.
If you have already process the payroll and the new Emp group / Sub group is in different payroll area you wont be able to change it.

Currency change for Employee group level

Hi Guru's,
I am configuring Currency for all the Employee groups 1,2,3,4,etc.i am trying it in V_T510F_B,Can any one confirm if this is right or is there any way to configure the currency for all the employee group in one table ..

Their is a currency change going on so now we are changeing the existing currency to EUR,so our requirment is that all the EG & ESG should get the currency EUR instead of the earlier one "JOD",
All the EG & ESG will have same currency EUR.
But after our finance team has changed the currency in Company code level still i can see the old currency .

Propose or change automatically, Employee Group and Subgroup.

Dear all, when executing an exit Action, thru transaction PA40, what's the best way to propose by default/change automatically, the employee group/subgroup?
Example: I want to change the employee group from '1' (Active) to '2' (Inactive), but the fields are disabled for input.
Do i have to do this thru the enhancement "PBAS001", or is there any way to do this thru configuration?

I was searching for something in SDN and got this post.
Though it's a very late reply, whatever Sreenu has told is correct.
In the table T529A, you can define the employment status wehther it has to be active, withdrawn or inactive.
This field is input disabled in the action and the values will be defaulted from the configuration.
But Changing the employee group and employee subgroup , we can't change. If that is what is required, the values might depend on the configuration.
And even through some enhancement also we can't change. because, for IT0000 no enhancement are available. Even though the fields are from IT0001, I doubt it can be changed through enhancemnet.
If you have already achieved it through enhancemnet, please let us know.

Change Employee Group in MSS

Hello Everyone,
I created a 'Change Employee Group/Subgroup' request and it was successful.
Now, where is this request supposed to be approved?
I believe this has to do with configuring UWL and Workflow.
Can anyone guide me on the procedure please?

According to help.sap, Workflow must be configured for MSS to function correctly.
I need to know how I can perform the following:
-You must have executed the basic Customizing for Workflow in your system.
You set up the SAP Business Workflow in the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide (IMG) under SAPNetWeaver ® SAP Web Application Server ® Business Management ® SAP Business Workflow
I can't seem to find any guide for this. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Finding function to check whether this employee has changed Employee group

I'm finding function to check whether this employee has changed Employee group from Temporary to Regular during the year or not.

You have to read IT0001 data for reading Employee Group or Sub Group Change. Use the FM HRREADINF* to read IT0001 Data.

Error While terminating the employee through API

Hello Group,
I am facing the error while terminating the employee through standard api. The error is "You cannot create an entry past the termination rule date" The element entry I have are type "Recurring" and Termination at "Final Close" I have gone through the thread

This doc directs to apply a patch.
I have gone through. Just want to cross check if this required. I am able to terminate the employee through the application. There it just throws the warning saying " Element Entry has been changed for the Employee as the result of the termination do you wish to go with the termination"

Employee Designation change problem

Hi,
I need to change the designation of the employee based on the employee personal number.
I have given the personal number in PA41 and i try to change the employee group and subgroup in change actions.
But when i change the date to currect date means its showing error.Otherwise when i didnt change the date means its coming properly.the desingnation getting changed.
What is the correct procedure to change the designation of the employee.

Please explain how are you changing the designation in PA41 ( are u changing the position also? ) and what error message you are getting after that. May be after that we can find a solution.

Employee group have been wrongly assigned during Hiring in PA40

Dear Guru,
I have one scenario where an employee; employee group have been wrongly assigned during Hiring PA40. The user has entered and assigned the employee group as Contract - Local instead of Contract - Foreigner in the Employee group field.
Please advice how to change and rectify this incident.

Many thanks for all your advice.
I have use PA41 Transaction code to make the correction. However, I noted that the wrongly assigned Employee group remains unchanged in PA30 HR Master data.
Hence, I decided to use PA40 Hiring Action to make the correction by selecting Position/Band Change field. After save the correction in Copy Actions screen, it will lead you to Copy Organizational Assignment and save your entries. There will be a message appear at the bottom in regards to the position. Just click next arrow icon and click yes.
Go to PA30 HR Master data again, to verify that the correction and noted that it has change.

How to assign & changed org. unit to employee Id

We want to move some employees from one organizational unit to newly created one in transaction code PPOM_OLD.
In PPOM_OLD i created new Org. unit ,assign position then assigned existing employee pernr.
But when i see in PA30 the organizational unit remains same.
Even when i observed in PA0001 table i can see two entries for one employee number the old entry is with organizational unit where as new one doesn't have organizational unit at all
Please guide me how can i do changes.

Go to pa30- given the Perner-select infotype action 0000-period- all-click on overview
Now you can view all records related to infotype action-select the new created records-choose icon delete.
Now create the new organization unit, Position & their relationships through t-code pp01.
now transfer of employee from old position to new position through action tcode –pa40- select appropriate personal action (promotion, reorganization, transfer etc.)
Put the perner and effective date –execute –in next steps change details as per requirement i.e. in second part- organ. Assignment –
New position details –xxxxxxxx /Personnel area-xx/Employee group-x/Employee sub group-xx
Save.
System goes to next info type 0001-
In the same way give the require details & save.

Employee group

Hi Gurus,
I have a scenerio in which a group of people on a payroll that really are not our employeesu2026
they have been sold but we are paying them until the transition is complete....in one country say US they are considered as employees of the company as long as they are active and in the other country say India they are not included in the headcount.....what should be done in such scenerio....should the employee grp and staus be changed to inactive what would be the impact of it...and wha is the best practice.

Create and Maintain them in separate payroll area (Inactive Employees) and do the org reassignment for them.
if u maintain in separate payroll area their is no need to touch anything on Employee group

Default Employee group using user exist ZXPADU01

Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to change the field
PSPAR-PERSG in infotype "action" -0000
via user exit ZXPADU01/2 ?
When I get p0000-MASSN = 10 ,i need to move 0 to
PSPAR-PERSG but via the user exits it is not possible.
I have coded the below logic in ZXPADU01, but it is not displaying the required employee group in actions screen.

        move innnn to i0000.

Employee Grouping with ESS

Hi
Manager is configured as external employee, when the manager tried to approve leave request over the ESS, a system error popped up. Where is configuration in ESS that is associated employee group ? I suspect it might be some configuration in ESS that blocks External employee group to approve level request.

500 Internal Server Error
Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator
How do I do? If I change employee to normal employee group. Then the issue is gone.
