Hi friends,
How can we change employee hiring date (Initial hiring date). I mean if I want to set the hiring date to back. Please suggest.

u can use PA41 also and PA40 also
There are Three Scenarios when you may need to change hiring date:
1) After payroll is run - when hiring date is before actual Hiring date.
2) After payroll is run when hiring date is after actual Hiring Date.
3) Before the payroll is run.
1) PA30 -- Copy actions infotype - action type - incorrect entry -- save and come out PA 30 copy actions infotype -- action type - correct entry - now correct your entries, save your date is changed.
2) PA30 - Utilities - change payroll status - delete accounted to feild, save and come out - then again utilities change entry leaving date - corrrect the hiring date - save and come out.
3) PA30 - Utilities change entry/leaving date change your date and save.

the pay roll has been run for him for the minth of april
now i want to change the persons hiring date to 01062000

Hi Manoj,
If you have ran the payroll and posted to FI, it is very hard to reconcile. And even more difficlt if the data has been submit to Revenue Dept. or related external org. Please SAP note 41523 for more information.
If the payroll has not been run yet, you can change the entry date by PA41.
Actually, most of my project records the joining data in IT0041 - Date Specifications.

I've entered a new employee with a wrong hiring date and I don't know how to change it. Some employee date are easily changeable not the hiring date!?

Hi Marko.
Go to t-code PA30, enter the personnel number of the employee whom you have hired.
At the top in the menu bar, select "UTILITIES" - "Change entry/leaving date".
It will take you to the screen - "Change Actions" - Change " Start date".
This will correct the hiring date of the employee.

To Create employee master data.

How to create employee master data from scratch in SAP-HCM through BAPI's. Then we need to insert data in infotype 0000, 0001 and 0002 for that employee.

first check, if customizing for all fields is done.
You will need a action type for hiring a person with infotypes 0000, 0002, 0001.
Infotype 0001 is not so easy, because many checks are done in modul pool.
The number range for PERNR can be set to internal or external (its your decision), transaction PA04.
if you create a new PERNR you may wish to keep the old (legacy) one. you can use infotype 0032 or 0105, add it to the hiring action.
If your legacy data comes with a flat file LSMW is a good tool to import master data.

LSMW issue while uploading the hiring data

I am trying to create LSMW to upload hiring data for IT0000, IT0001, IT0002. Initially i tried with PA40 recording, but it was not selecting my respective action type. Then i tried with PA30 with external no. range, but still its not selecting action infotype.

Employee Entry Date in ad-hoc query

I have maintained dates in IT0041 - datetype 01, IT 0016 KONDT and also IT0000 has Hiring date with Emp Status 3 active.
The entry feature is also active. When i test the Function module, it brings the correct date.
However, when i run ad hoc query the output does not bring Entry Date . The values output for all employees is 00.00.0000. Can someone please guide how to resolve this error.

Where to give the Employees confirmation date....

Here im facing a problem when running a z report.
For some employees the system is not picking the confirmation dates.
Here im checking the contract elements infotype 0016..here everything is fine as 12 months...

The process of storing date specifications can be automated based on the hiring action using dynamic actions. For eg. if the confirmation date needs to be stored based on the hiring date, then a simple dynamic action can be configured to populate a confirmation date in infotype 41 based the 0000 or 0001 infotype inputs in the hiring action.
In our case, we have stored the due date of confirmation in infotype 0019 as a task since we also wanted to track the closure of the confirmation process.

Now plz ask your client what is the starting date of the company and maintain the same in control record until you complete your uploading.
than change your date of your control record to sap implementation date.

Changing an Employeeu2019s Entry Date
You can change the employeeu2019s entry date stored in the system after completing the hiring action.
A distinction must be made between the following situations:
The employee has not yet been included in a payroll run:
Read the section Changing an Entry Date Before the First Payroll.
The employee has already been included in a payroll run:
The actual entry date is after the entry date that was incorrectly entered in the system.
Read the section Changing the Employee's Entry Date After the Payroll Run if the Actual Entry Date Comes After the Incorrect Entry Date
The actual entry date is before the entry date that was incorrectly entered into the system
Read the section Changing the Employee's Entry Date After the Payroll Run if the Actual Entry Date is Earlier Before the Incorrect Entry Date
There are different procedures for changing the entry date depending on which of the above cases affects you.

List of employees hired in a particular period

Dear Experts,
I need to generate a report which gives me the complete list of employees that were hired in a particluar period. Say, I enter a period (date range) in the selection screen, i need to get the employees hired during this date range.
Could I do this using IT0000 or do i have to consider the hire date of the employee.
any suggestions and help is highly appreciated (points would be rewarded)

Welcome to SDN:).
For this report you better check the hire date of employee from IT 0041.
But also check with your functional consultant how the system is configured in your case.
I think there are standard report(FM) to get the employee hire date. Just search in SE37.

Changing hiring date

Hii all,
When we change the hiring date ( after the payroll has been run and if it is after the Incorrect date) then there are certain steps recommended by SAP to perform…like Incorrect and Correct Personnel Actions run. It says it will automatically run the payroll correction. I am not able to understand that if the error of incorrect hiring date has been found out after payroll has been run for 6 months then, how the system will deduct the extra amount paid to employee…?
Eg. Incorrect Hiring Date:30.03.1982
Correct Hiring Date :30.06.1983
Also, I want to know do we add any Infotypes to the Infogroups of "Incorrect and Correct entry date" Personnel Actions, or these two are inbuilt in the system?
Please solve this confusion.

I think T code for this is PA41.
what are the relevant infotypes we need to check for changing the date.
If we do it,Is system will pay one day salary extra?

If you have NOT run payroll for this PF yet, there is no issue involving payroll.
But the BIG problem is Time Evaluation, you know, PT60 run daily, so if you change the hiring date, maybe you have to face some issues coming from Time data.
So process to solve these issues as below:
1. PA41 to change DOJ of employee.,
2. PU00 delete time cluster B1, B2 of this PF.
3. re-run Time Evaluation for this PF ( from new DOJ).
4. test run payroll for this guy. I believe it's ok if you carefully do some steps above.

Hi,
If you have done payroll posting, do the reversal postings, change hire date the employees, then run the live payroll, do the postings.
To change hire data path:
Enter the employee in master data, select uitlities menu, select the change.leaving date, then you get the hiring action screen, here you can change the hire date.
