Employee ID card print

Hi All
After doing enough search, I thought i will put it to you all.
We are in the process of looking various options of how we get data to print employee ID Card on the day he/she joins
Is there any SAP defined solution for printing plastic ID Card with the data in SAP HR master data
can anybody suggest how they are doing if they interfaced to third party system
Thanks
DA

Hi DA
Our company manufacturers ID Card software and we have done some customized solutions for what you are asking for.
What we did is we built a windows service that requests by means of SQL commands information from the SAP webserver and then we brought that into a database and then our software pulled the information from that database needed to create the ID Cards.
If you would like more info, you can contact me at 9252084716.

    Hi,
Please follow the following steps to print the Identity cards.
Upload the images to the SAP system through the transcation SE78, at some locations with different name (may be by their employee id ).
Design a smartform for one employee with respective Name employee id and photo section.
For the photo window choos the graphics option and give the path as a variable that has been defined in the form attributes Import parameters (where it will get the path from where it will pick up the image from the system).
Now, in the driver program retrieve all the relevant informations in a table with the path where the image is being stored for the corresponding employee.
    Now loop in that table.
Call the function module of the smartform.
    Pass the parameters like:-
    emp id
    emp name emp photo
    designation
    address
And the path where the photo has been uploaded into the SAP system.
    Endloop.
This will loop the informations of the employees and pass it to the samrtform one by one and the smartform will get the picture from the path that has been supplied to the smartform.
I think this will help you to solve the problem.
    Warm regards.
    Abhijit.

  • How to include a key value, per employee, in payslip print program output?

Employee payslips are printed externally. The output file has to include a 3 char value, per employee, to determine the logo that will be printed on to the payslip.
What is the best way to include this 3 char value in the output file?
I assume the best way is to use program RPCEDTG0 and include the code in this program. We are on ECC6 so PE51 isn't used, HRFORMS is, but I assume this wouldn't matter anyway as we don't need to change the HRFORM but rather the RPCEDTG0 program?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Kapil,
    Thank you for your help.
Yes, I have suggested as you said, i.e. putting logo into the smartform linked to the HRFORM. However, the external printers want a code in the file which they will interpret their side and then pickup and output the logo from their system. We merely need to pass them the code for this.

  • Photoshop Application Errors when printing to Zebra Card Printer

    Hello,
I have been troubleshooting and issue for a user and I have run into a wall.
When printing from Photoshop CS3(Version 10.0.1) to a brand new Zebra ZXP Series 3 card printer in Windows 7 32 bit I am getting this: errors:
I went from an XP machine to Windows 7(with a video card plenty of memory) and still the same errors.  I updated the Zebra printer drivers and firmware. I can test print from the PC just fine. I even tried CS4 with the same result. The user purchased a license for CS3 so I am troubleshooting with CS3 at this moment. My user is way behind in printing id badges for his Fireman and needs this resolved ASAP. I may have to go with Zebra's Card Studio Software if there is no resolution for this Photoshop issue.
Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Ben Collier

Zebra Level 2 Support is looking into it for me. Thanks for nothing Adobe!

  • IPhoto card printing order

Just had 10 cards printed from iPhoto image (with text added) to test quality.  Really pleased with the result and would like to order a lot more, but without the whole process of redesign.  Is there a simple way of re-ordering an earlier order?

    Dear LarryHN
Thanks so much for pointing me to 'Keepsakes' - had never noticed it was
there, despite being an Apple user since 1985!
Great that Apple keep the order for 40 days, but where do I go to =
reorder it?  There appears to be no facility in my 'accounts' page, or anywhere else I can find.
    Thanks again

  • New officejet h470 with wireless card; "printer cartridge incompatible" error message

I just got the officejet h470 mobile printer and wifi card.  Had many, many problems when trying to set up wireless operation (windows vista operating system).  Installed & uninstalled 5 times.  Finally contacted HP tech support and got it to work correctly after approximately 2 hours on the phone.  From minute one got blinking light for black ink cartridge when I turn it on or when I try to print.  Happens every time.  Only way to clear the light and print is to unseat the cartridge completely and re-seat.  Prints one document  then does the same thing.  Today, for the first  time, I got the error message "ink cartridge incompatible".  This is the ink cartridge that came with the machine.
    1.  Bad ink cartridge?  Does anyone out there have an answer?
    2.  Is it normal for this printer to continue to cycle(?) for 1-2 minutes when first starting and after printing?
I don't want to go through the hassle of replacing the printer if I don't have to.
    Thanks,
    Freestyle

For #1 I would suggest cleaning the cartridge contacts as shown here.  If that does not resolve the issue you may need to replace the cartridge or the printer (both should be under warranty).
As for cycling before and/or after printing, it will depend on various factors including how long it has been since the last print job.  I would not expect more than 5-15 seconds of servicing after a print job.

  • Can't print to Canon's Card Printer using Airport Express

Airport can see and select my Canon CP200 printer in the admin utility, but I can't print.
Also have a Canon i900 InkJet printer that prints no problem.
Is there any known compatablity problems printing to these types Card Printers?
Does anyone have any solutions to offer?
PS I have my airport express wireless features all turned off.

Contacted Canon on this and they responded that the Card Printers can not be used on a network.
    They didn't specify why.

  • IPhoto 6 card printing question

Hi, this may be a dumb question, but I spent over an hour and I couldnt figure it out.
Ok, so I made a card in iPhoto 6, size 7'' x 10''. It is a double-sided card. So, I print one side, feed the paper in again, and print the other side.
The problem is, I can't set the card to print centered on the paper, and thus, printing it double sided and cropping the paper will force me to cut off some of the card, and the fold wont line up right. I need this to print centered so the margins will be even, and thus, I can print double-sided properly.
    Thanks for any help/response
    PowerBook G4 15"   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

I have a similar problem, & am waiting for this to be answered properly by someone who can help allof us.
Using iPhoto5 (Dec. 2005) I was able to print my photos to 7x10 greeting cards all properly centered on the card -to then fold it in half for a greeting card. Now in iPhoto 6 (the same settings as used in iPhoto5) do not print out properly centered on the card. In preview it shows properly, but it does not come out that way. I am using the same printer - Epson R200 - as with iPhoto5). Another person has a Lexmark & can't get the right print out setting with iPhoto 6 either.

  • Postcards / Cards print on photo paper?

Can anyone tell me if that the cards/postcards you purchase from Apple are printed on card stock or on photo paper.
    iMac G4 800mHz, iBook G4 1.42Ghz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I ordered a Christmas card from Apple and it arrived today and it's excellent quality. I think it's card as it's not shiny like photo paper.
However, I ordered two cards and only one arrived with two envelopes!!

  • IPhoto card printing on 4 fold paper

I ran out of single fold paper and found a way to use iPhoto card themes to print on 4 fold paper. If anyone has an easier way, please let me know. Otherwise, the following steps worked for me (so I didn't have to go out in this rain to buy single fold paper.)
Creating iPhoto card to print on 4 fold paper.
In iPhoto, select picture(s), and select card theme.
In iPhoto, select print, and then PDF and save to desktop.
Click on desktop saved image and Adobe will show card.
Take 2 screenshots of card's outside and inside.
Import screenshots into iPhoto and then rotate the pics so they are upside down.
    Drag both pics to desktop.
Click on one of the pics to bring up Preview.
After selecting print, use or create 4fold custom paper size for 8.5 x 5.5.
Check the Preview margins and adjust (request use full size of paper.)
Insert 4 fold paper with right side down and print the first side by side image up side down.
Turn paper around and reinsert into printer so that second upside down image prints on same side of paper.
Let dry and fold paper into a card.

Here's an easier way to get those screenshots of the front and back of the card into iPhoto.
Start a Print process, click on the PDF button and select the "*Save PDF to iPhoto*" menu option. This creates a 200 dpi jpeg file of each side of the card.

  • HP DesignJet 500/DirectJet 620n Ethernet card - printer won't print

Have one Macs Pro (2006) with Leopard 10.5.8, one MacBook Pro with Leopard 10.5.8, and one MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.4. All of them USED to print to my subject printer. The Mac Pro burnt up it's sixth (count them) 6th ATI RADEON X1900 Graphics card and I had to replace it. Since then my printer will not work. I downloaded the PCL3 Raster drivers that HP suggested, but do now know which driver works for this printer. Have loaded a few, the printer shows up on my system, but tells me it is busy....what the hey, it is not busy, Can anyone help me.

Is your local network 192.168.5.xxx? If not, you need to set your printer's IP address to be in the local subnet of your router.
For driver, I suggest you try installing ghostscript and foomatic, plus the PPD from

  • Adobe Employees: View Tools Print Production Convert Colors

Totally don't get your View> Tools> Print Production> Convert Colors dialog.
I would expect that if it was working that all Tagged files (left column) would display correctly.
But in every test it appears all that happens is my profiles are stripped.
Can you possibly let me know what I may be missing as no one else seems to be able to?
Here is my control .pdf download:
    gballard.net/photoshop/pdi_download/PDI_Color_Profile_Test.pdf
Here is how it displays Acrobat Pro 10.1.5 (as expected):
Left column is Taggged as noted (displays proper as expected).
Right column is Untaggged as noted (displays unmanaged).

i had a revelation slugging this out:
Acrobat Print Production> Convert Colors behaves nothing like i expected (accurately transforming Tagged source colors to a Destination profile)
i am still interested if this is possible, but this is what i believe is happening (and it is easily proven in Photoshop on the monitor)
During Acrobat's "Convert Colors" process (using my conversion settings):
Acrobat IGNORES the profiles embedded in my RGB images.
Acrobat "Assumes" its Working RGB profile (on all Tagged/Untagged images) and then
Acrobat "Converts" everything to the Destination profile and embeds that profile.
Here are my Acrobat Color Settings (Working RGB is ProPhoto RGB):
Here is how those settings display my original .pdf:
Note: This is totally predictable and how Photoshop displays Tagged and Untagged color (Photoshop properly "Converts" or transforms Tagged color to the monitor profile; and Photoshop, like Acrobat, "Assumes" its Working space on Untagged colors).  That means the left column containing all Tagged images are displaying the same as Photoshop, and the right column of Untagged images are each uniquely different.  In fact, the Untagged ProPhoto RGB is the only Untagged image displaying proper because Acrobat made the proper Assumption.
Here are my Acrobat Convert Colors settings (my best guess for a simple Source> Destination conversion):
Here is the result using the above Working RGB and Convert Colors settings:
    Note: This is crystal clear.
To prove it in Photoshop one would merely have to open each of the original 10 files and Assign ProPhoto RGB to each file, then Convert each one of them to WhackedRGB (and this is exactly what I would expect to see).
    And here's the proof:
I dragged the Converted .pdf into Photoshop and "Used the embedded Profile" (Whacked RGB) to open the ProPhotoRGB image -- as you can see -- Acrobat made a proper conversion to Whacked RGB, correctly embedded the Destination profile, and is displaying it proper.
i am still really interested if Acrobat is capable of properly Converting multiple Tagged elements to a single tagged Destination profile -- i.e., my five tagged images in the left column display properly (like Photoshop displays them)...
PS: I did the exact same series of tests/screenshots using WhackedRGB as my Acrobat Working RGB -- the results were as predicted (Whacked RGB was the only source space that properly converted).
