Employee Payroll Debit Card (Paycard) Setup

Hi,
My company is going to offer employees the option to receive a Visa Debit Card that will replace their paper checks. We are currently only interfacing SAP Master Data to ADP and do not run payroll in SAP. I would like to store the debit card information on Infotype 9. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to set this up? Do I need to create a new payment method called "Debit Card/Paycard" or should I treat the Debit Card like a checking/savings account and just set it up as a bank transfer? What do I need to take into account on the Finance side, if anything?

Thanks for your feedback on this, I was thinking I might have to create a new payment method. Since we are not running payroll, is it as simple as creating a copy of the "Bank Transfer" payment method and renaming it Card Payment? Do you know if this requires a lot of setup on the finance side? We are just passing the IT0009 info via an IDOC to ADP.

then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

If not, and as you say that you don't have a credit or debit card (though not all debit cards appear to be accepted anyway) then you will need to create a new account, and use the instructions on the about 'create an iTunes ...' page when creating it.

How can i set up an apple id for a child in family share with a debit card?

You can't. The use of a credit card to verify your identity and give consent for a child to access online services that may collect data is a legal requirement. You can change the payment method after setting it up if you like.
If that presents a problem for you, complain to your congressman. Apple didn't implement the requirement because the wanted to, but because the law requires them to.

I redeemed a $15 iTunes gift card, but iTunes won't let me download anything. It keeps asking to sign in for billing and I do, but it says security code is invalid on debit card, when it's not. Has anyone experienced this problem?

If the total purchase price of the media including any applicable taxes or fees exceeds the balance of the redeemed card, then the difference is charged to your debit or credit card account.

Can I use a debit card to set up family sharing?

When setting up my family sharing it will not let me a create Apple id for a child under 13. It says that I have a debit card and to add a credit card. I don't use credit cards. If this is only for age verification why would it matter? I tried both of our cards on different accounts and still no luck. On my bank account it shows up as pending $1 each time I try. I called Apple support and they didn't know a way around it. I asked if a prepaid Visa would work. They thought it should. I bought one and tried it but no help. To set it up they require my birthday, social security#, address, phone number. With all that it should of verified my age. I really wanted to use the family sharing feature since I updated all our iPads to os8 with the newest update. They were all under my Apple id before. My bank suggested adding MasterCard secure, so I did but that didn't help. Any suggestions other than get a credit card.

Does your debit card have a Visa or Mastercard logo? If so, just enter it in as if it were a credit card and it should work fine. I currently have my acct setup with my card from my bank and it works great.

Hello, Apple comunity! I'm an iTunes user on my iPad and Mac. I have a USA Apple account right now but i live in Romania and i just got a debit card. I want to use it and i know that in iTunes is an option for changing the country. I did a bit of research and i found that there can be problems with redownloading the apps and updates.
On my iTunes account i have only free apps and 8 paid apps, from reedem codes: Infinity blade, Draw Something, Angry Birds, Angry Birds Space HD, Paper Monsters, GarageBand, Cut the Rope and Cut the Rope HD. I think they are all in the Romanian iTunes store.
I don't have any music, movies or books.
I want to know what problems I'll have.

The other thing is if the install messes up the computer, it isn't covered and they typically require you to return it to stock os to work on it.

Inability to update my debit card information

Has anyone encountered a problem with renewing a debit card that is already in the Apple system? That seems to be my case, I know it is not from the bank as my there is Enough fund in the card to pay for the service I am requesting for.

I believe if you haven't already setup an itunes account, if you have access to computer with iTunes installed , you can create an iTunes account on that computer with no credit/debit card and then just buy iTunes cards at your local retailer to get credits.

This is kinda strange. Here in the UK they are declined. However the local Apple Store told me they were OK - until I got him to try it. It was declined - so even some of Apple's own employees don't really know the rules.

There have been a number of posts recently about debit cards being declined, and they are not listed on this page as a valid payment method, so I don't think that they are still accepted.

Why can't I just use my debit card for adding my child to family share?!

I want to use my child on family share but can't because I don't need or want a credit card, my bank has fraud protection, who actually just called me about fraud because I purchased the newest iPhone! I don't like credit cards. Why can't I just use my debit card as usual? Kids can get credit cards just as easily as they can debit cards! This is ridiculous. Why isn't there another option to verify I am the parent?! I am so beyond angry right now. Like I am being punished for not owning a credit card!! Otherwise there will be another way to do this. A person should have the freedom to use their chosen form of payment without missing out on all the options available. Honestly even if I wanted a credit card I haven't enough credit because of past mistakes. So this is not making me happy at all.

I feel your pain. We refuse to have credit cards, too; yet it's required in order to create a child's apple id. I will most definitely be leaving feedback with Apple. This is absolutely ridiculous that we can't just use our debit cards! Mine is a VISA. I use it to make CREDIT CARD transactions everywhere else, why not be able to use it the same way here!?
I just had to restore my sons phone because he forgot his 4-digit password and got it disabled. I didn't have it already on my itunes so my only option was to restore it. I wanted to create his own apple id so he didn't have to keep using mine. Because every time he downloads a new game it automatically ends up on MY device as well, not just his. Anyway, he needs his own apple id. But, apparently, that won't be happening until Apple gets their heads out of their butts and figures out how to serve ALL of their customers!

Do you have enough funds in your bank account?
otherwise iTunes sometimes black lists card if there are too many fradulent purchases
Reason why they might black list a card is possibly you call in for alot of fradulent purchases
One more reason can be because iTunes does actually limit the amount you can change payment methods
Call AppleCare Phone support and have your call directed to iTunes Store
