Employee Photo In Smartform or Adobe Interactive Form

Hi Everybody,
We need to diaplay employee Photo in smartforms or adobe interactive form for Employee ID Card.
We are not uploading employee photo tru SE78. We need to get Photo from archieve Link, image being displayed in PA20/PA30 transaction.
I had been tru Many threads, but couldn't find any proper solution.
Please suggest.

My requirement to migrate puchase order smartformto Adobe interactive form.
I have migrated my purchase order smartform to Adobe interactive form,
activated form and interface.
Question: How do i trigger or my adobe interactive form purchase order in R/3.
I want to trigger the form from me22n -> print preview..
I have configured in NACE (Output type customization) with same samrtform print program with adobe form and Type as PDF. But the adobe form is not triggering at all.. Can any know how do i trigger adobe form from ME22n.
Is there any special print program for this please let me know..

Change the form entry in NACE , use entry_neu_adobe and that will work.

Migration of Smartforms to Adobe interactive forms

Dear all,
We are facing problem while we migrate a smartform to Adobe interactive forms (i.e through export and switch to runtime). All things got messed up like formats data, etc., Is there any way to generate the layout similar to smartforms.

Hello Folks,
my client currently are beginning the decision making process to replace all of their current Jetform based SAP printing solution to a newer more stable solution - and they are interested in the possible options available.
Note that this is a major project as we have to migrate all documents (invoices, orders, POs, account statements etc) defined in multi languages and versions. Currently we are running SAP4.6C - but there is the possibility of an upgrade in the near future too.
To me the most stable alternative right now appears to be SAP smartforms - as this is a tried, proven and well integrated technology. Now I read here about the possibilities offered by Adobe interactive forms - and that from 6.40 onwards they will be integrated into the ABAP workbench. It is not clear to me though if Adobe interactive forms are intended to replace Smartforms or if they are merely an alternative approach - and what the pros and cons are of each technique.
Also it is not clear to me how well Adobe forms can be integrated with standard NAST table style output control - is it possible to integrate adobe forms to the standard output control?
What we are really concerned with is that we spend a lot of effort migrating to Smartforms only to find out that it is yesterdays technology and that we subsequently have to remigrate to Adobe interactive forms...
Can anyone there at SAP or on SDN provide any advice as to the pros and cons of the Smartform solution when compared with Adobe interactive forms, and any advice you can offer as to which solution to opt for in our migration project?

it sounds to me that all your current forms are output forms (for printing, faxing, e-mailing, etc.) i.e. non-interactive.
Interactive Forms based on Adobe software is SAP's new solution for forms development. Its first release has the focus on interactive use of forms. High-volume printing is supported in principle, but - being a new solution - the performance has not yet reached the same level as Smart Forms or SAPscript, two established solutions that had years to grow. Interactive Forms is the only solution that will continue to be enhanced with new features, while SAPscript and Smart Forms will be supported without limitations.
When (or if) to move to Interactive Forms depends on your requirements. For interactive forms usage, i.e. the new functions, you have no choice, as the existing solutions don't support it. High-volume print scenarios need to be carefully analyzed to see whether your concrete requirements can be met at this point.
However, it is possible to move to Smart Forms and design your forms in such a way that a migration at any point in the future would be but a small step. Smart Forms offers from Web AS 6.40 a migration wizard to Interactive Forms. Technically, everything can be migrated, but we recommend against things like ABAP program nodes, for example.
You are not forced to ever go to Interactive Forms if you don't want to. It really depends on whether your client needs any of the new features in Interactive Forms. Also, if they are currently working with JetForms, they could enquire with Adobe directly what migration path they offer to the joint solution.

Adobe interactive form for flexible compensation plan

Dear Experts
I am new to adobe interactive form. I have to develop a form for Flexible Compensation Plan Structure in this form when an employee enter his employee id all the data should be displayed in the form and side wise a blank text field
will come for few fields in which user fill the data according to his requirement .Is there any function module is there to retrieve the data. or please suggest the data how to do?

Print Preview in RFx does not show new Adobe Interactive Form

Hello Experts,
I am trying to assign a standard Adobe Interactive form as the output form for SRM RFQ. I have carried out the following steps in customising under "Define Actions for Document Output".
- Selected bid invitation Action Profile = BBP_PD_BID
- Go to "Processing Types"
- Create a new Processing Type called "External Communication"
- Set the following values to the new processing type:
     - Form Name = BBP_BID_INV_ADB
     - Form Type = P PDF-Based Forms
     - Format = BBP_BID_INV_ADB_MAI
     - Personalization Type = 5 - Recipeient Variable Replacement
- Save Changes
My problem is that when I go to into the BID (RFx) and click "Print Preview" it picks up the standard Smartform, not the new Adobe form I have added as required.
Please can you advise of any additional config settings or other steps required to ensure that the Adobe Form is called when I click "Print Preview"?
We are on SRM 7.0.

Displaying Employee Photo in smartform in SAP-HR

hi all,
how can i display employee photo in smartform which is not uploaded in the sytem with tcode se78 but throgh diff tcode (OAAD) by HR functional. There are mainly two parts: 1. Procedure to retrieve that photo from the system
2. Display it in the smartform.
This photo is stored as graphics and so in smartform i am unable to put the name in graphic option which we normally follow.Please suggest what can i do.

Try to upload the pictures via SE73 as it's described in the Online help.. As far as I remember it works all the mentioned formats

Using Adobe Interactive Form in Retails, manufacturing industries??

Hi,
I am a systems integrator solution provider and have a few customers from retails, manufacturing and supply chain industries.
They want to design label with barcodes (such as those SSCC label for shipping). Which SAP solution is the best and most standard?
I have a couple of options: SmartForms and SAPScript. But I also heard about Adobe Interactive Form. Which one is the most commonly used in the market right now? I don't think there are many users of Interactive Form in this scenario but I am not sure. Which barcode/termal printer supports Adobe Interactive Forms?

Hi Tanmay,
I had the same problem. Try this.
In WebDynpro:
Copy the component and put on a new interface for this Component.
In Transaction SFP:
As "Layout Type" you select "ZCI Layout".
Go to "Utilities" and insert Web Dynpro Script.
Activate and test the Component.
If you insert the Web Dynpro Script later in a Form,
it does not function. You must again put on it.
Anyhow my experience.

I have a requirement to define a Button and handle the appropiate action in my BADI.
I found out the appropiate BADI's method(SCENARIO_PROCESS_USER_COMMAND).I can include my coding here based on the USER COMMAND value.
Now, I would like the define the Function code Value(User Command Value) for my button in my Adobe Interactive Form.
Can anyone let us know how this can be done?

Anyways, If you want a dropdown from backend in ISR/PCR Adobe Forms, you require to implement QISR1 BADI - SCENARIO_SET_ADDITIONAL_VALUES method where we require to populate LS_ADDITIONAL_DATA Internal table as shown below.

WebUI Print Preview (Action Definition - Print) for Adobe Interactive Forms

Hi All,
As mentioned in subject, how to define an CRM Action Definition (with or without Action Condition) to Print an Adobe Interactive Forms. We know how to define a setting for Print Preview function in CRM WebUI via Action Definition - Smartforms Print. Now we want to print preview from CRM WebUI document on Form designed in Adobe Interactive Forms (tx SFP).
We have tested using Action Definition - External Communication, we can set the AIF form here. We tested in GUI (tx crmd_order) and it works. But when testing preview on CRM WebUi it shows "Error in Smartforms".
Somehow it still detect as Smartforms instead of Adobe Interactive Forms.
We prefer if this preview can be done via Action, because it is straight forward function for printing.
Should we use Action - Method Call instead ? How is the approach to do it in Action - Method Call ?
Any one try this before? Appreciate your sharing here.

if I got you right, what you want is: Call your AIF when someone clicks on the "print preview" button in CRM WebClient. This should all work using a print action like with normal SmartForms.
I faced this problem some months ago on CRM 6. The problem here was quite simple: The SmartForm interface and the one of AIF are not compatible. Thus the service used for calling the print action from WebClient failed.
For handling this problem I enhanced the print service to call AIF correctly.
In customizing I used print actions that call a method.
As mentioned this lays back some months already. Maybe SAP came up with a better solution by now. I saw AIF to have multilple interface types. One is an interface compatible with SmartForms. Probably you can use this one and the print service will work without any enhancements or modifications.

SAP delivered Adobe Interactive Forms: how to identify in ERP6.0, CRM....

I am not an ABAPer, but I am trying to determine whether we need to develop an Adobe Interactice Form or leverage one delivered by SAP for following actions:
   o Return to work
   o Short term disability
   o Hire
I read the most important notes and FAQ and I didn't find a way to list all SAP delivered Adobe interactive forms.
I know from a colleague that SAP provides a Hiring SAP Adobe form (ISR_HRASR_SHI1) but I couldn't find it in SFP transactopm code nor in table TERPFORMLIST. This table I believe is mentioned In EhP4 release notes, however it doesn't provide a description of what a form is about.
Can you please provide the process or program or procedure to dump such a list of SAP delivered forms from ERP6.0, CRM, SRM, etc, where the list contains the Name of Adobe Interactive form, description of form, SW component, application compenent, and if possible any corresponding SMARTFORM...
Any help is much appreciated.

if i set the param fp_docparams-FILLABLE = 'N', does the form becomes interactive ?
2) what is offline & online adobe form then? Does online adobe form needs a web dynpro when using ABAP?
3) Does there exist an online NON- interactive form?
