Employee Rate schedule project to project

Dear Dina,
During approved cost budget preparation i am taking the named resources and the employee rate schedule serve the rate to me...For some of the projects if we need to go for the different rate schedule like mark up % (hike value)...project to project how can i incorporate such scenario in oracle projects????
Is it possible??????

As you said Rate schedule can be utilized for budget version from the Employee rate schedule for an e.g 1 employee Employee1 had assigned 10$ (hourly rate) in rate schedule....
While creating budget version for some projects(not all) i need to increase from 10$ to 20$ for generating budget for that particular project....for one more project i want to show up budget for that employee as 25$ also ..again for standard project i want to use basic 10$ only....so project to project ...how can i change the rate schedule for budget generation....how to utilize the system that way...kindly help me...

    I am new to Jave programming and attempting to teach myself Java using the Sun tutorials & these forums. As a first step of learning, I want to do a Automated Employee Schedule Project in Java. (JSP)
    There are two main parts of the project. The first part will be a table with the employees listed down the left, the days of the week across the top, and with each cell being that employee's shift for the day. There are four different types of shift in a day ( M- Morning, R- Regular, A- Afternoon and N- Night).
    The second part will allows the user to enter in a new employee or display/edit an existing employee's information, including a list of scheduling constraints, like can?t work in Morning shift / Night shift. Apart from that number of employee in a shift may vary based on situation.
    Could you please help me to understand the flow for creating this Automated Employee Schedule project?

    I need the logic as to how to generate the shift plan. Could you tell me how to get about creating this dynamic table and any idea what i should take as baseline? I was thinking to read the employees from the database and take them as input for the first column. and the number of days as the column list. Can you tell me if this is the correct approach?

  • Multiple Flat bill rates in Projects

    We have a requirement to capture and store multiple bill rates for an employee in a project and use one of those rates (based on time cards) to calculate revenue and invoice.
    There is no logic or relationship between these rates. So we can’t use any multiplier or markup. They are just flat rates – rate1, rate2, rate3 etc..
    So when employee enters time cards, he will chose that rate type (rate1 or rate2...) and our billing extension has to calculate based on that rate.
    For this we need some place in project to store rates against the rate types for employees by project (because the rates for the employee may vary from project to project).
    Please let me know if you have come across any such scenarios and how did you handle it.

    You may consider utilizing the Rate Schedules form.
    I assume there could be several projects, several employees and several rate types involved.
    You could setup a separate schedule for each project and rate type. Within such schedule you can update the rates values per employee.
    The name of the schedule could include a text indicating the rate type. You may enable a DFF attribute on the rate schedule header to hold the project number.

  • Storing Rates in Projects.

    Hi,
    Can someone share inputs on how to store the rates for the items (Non-Inventory Items) in Oracle Projects.
    The idea is to create an item as a non-labour resource and create a rate schedule, however i would like to know if there are any other ways in any project modules.
    The data that needs to be captured is Item Name, Description,Quantity,Rate, UOM, Start Date,End date.
    If there are no standard forms to capture the above, will this requirement be a custom form.
    All inputs are highly appreciated.

    If you want project vice rate schedule, you might need to create rate schedules for each project and assign them at the project level rate schedule overrides.
    Two other options are
    1. Use custom form to store the project and rate schedule information. Then use costing client extn.
    2. If the bill rate schedules are based on templates, then attach it to the template level. so all projects created out a particular template will use that template's rate schedule.

  • Using multiple resource cost rates in Project Server 2013

    We use Project Server 2013 to manage resources that often perform multiple roles within projects and also have different rates between projects. The Standard Rate from the user's profile is somewhat helpful but, as we all know, it carries over to every
    project that the resource is part of.
    I have tried opening Project Professional 2013 and using the additional Cost tabs in the user's information to enter different rates in tabs, B, C, D and E (tab A is the default Standard Rate from Project Server).
    My experience has been that as soon as I close and check in the project file, this data disappears. Next time I open the file the default rate is available but tabs B-E are blank. This behavior does not occur if I open a stand-alone project
    file not connected to Project Server. 
    I realize that Project is not meant to be a financial management tool and has its limitations but I'm looking for suggestions and would appreciate any feedback.

    Dale is right in that an Enterprise Resource can only have its rates (or any details) set by the administrator. Unfortunately you are limited to 5 rates (A-E).
    I have done a macro for a client that reads rates for a resource for a project from a database (or Excel) every time the project is opened. So you see the correct rates and calculated costs.
    These rates get over-written next time you open the project, hence the need for the macro to update rates every time the project is opened.
    Another option in the macro is to zero the rates so a copy can be emailed to clients etc without sensitive rates data.

  • Debug a NetWeaver Java Scheduler Project

    Hi All,
    I have deployed a NetWeaver Java Scheduler Project. It is a EJB 3.0 Project that can be schedueld in the  NetWeaver Java Scheduler.
    Now I would like to debug the Source Code.
    If I start the server in debug mode, I can't access the NWA anymore to start the job in the Java Scheduler plus I can't deploy anymore (server says: can't deploy because server is running in debug mode). In normal mode, the server (obviously) does not stop at my break points...
    How can I do that?

    I you are tyring to debuge the source code which is already deployed on the server. I think you can check the conding as what you are expecting whick running the applcaition. If you trying to access the NWA in the Debuge mode, its not opening properly then you can access in the Server Visual Administration.

  • Rate Schedule for Items

    We are doing our budgeting in Project Management. We are using centrally controlled planning resource list where we have selected all the items needed for budgeting.But the problem is the rate can be given by user in the project level which may differ from project to project for the same item.Is there any way by which I can mention the rate for each item like what we define in rate schedule for resource class?

    You need to create a custom item type, with a procedure that displays a link to do the rating.
    For an example of a custom item type procedure, see Re: personal oracle 9i
    Note that the primary key for an item is (masterid, id, caid, language).

    Can you please tell me what is your exact requirement?....
    I think in the standard MSS package there is an iview for viewing the workschedule related information like Hours/day, Hrs/week, hrs/month and hrs/year for a position.
    However, if you want to view the workschedule for employee, it can easily be configured through the OADP.
    You can create a custom Function module for fetching the workschedule for each employee and after creating a custom column, add it to any data view.

  • How to make the Billing extension to override the defined rate schedules

    Hi,
    By using the billing extension, i am able to generate the events at top-task level and also generating the draft invoice/revenue amounts.
    But the problem is, if any bill rates are defined for the expenditure item means, draft invoice/revenue amount is duplicating.
    It is the sum of my calculations in my billing extension and the calculations of the (expenditure item * bill rate).
    My billing extension is not able to override the defined rate schedules.
    Please let me know, how should i make my billing extension to override the defined rate schedules.

    Hi Dina,
    Thanks for your inputs.I have tried with the Event/Event as you specified. It is working. Now my i am able to disregard the expenditure items hours multiplied by bill rates and generate the events with my billing extension calculations only.
    But i need to handle one more thing as per my requirement.
    User to be restricted in such way that, draft revenue has to be generated before to the draft invoice(Same as Work/Work) through my billing extension.
    How can i achieve it.
    The revenue_distribution_flag is not updating from 'N' to 'Y' even after the generation of the draft revenue as you mentioned when i follow the Event/Event.
    Is there any way to the restrict the user in generating the draft revenue prior to the draft invoice by using EI's.

  • UOM in Rate Schedule

    We need to define Job rate schedule using "Days" as UOM, By default Oracle Displays "Hours" as UOM, Can anyone suggest what is setup do be done to overcome this issue? We are using EBS R12 , version 12.1.1

    There is no another setup. Oracle only supports hours as UOM for labor time.
    You will need to workaround that limitation.

    No in standard, yes in Z ...
    Just to give some direction, for planned costs..
    there are two options:
    1  you can write a batch job which updates the standard cost revenue rates (CRR), in this case, create Cost revenue rates same as BP and update them by batch job, assign the relative CRR to each BP
    2  in Badi pick 0008 based on BP number (which is XX<8 digit PERNR>) derive PERNR based on central person
    For actuals modify CAT7.

    Hi,
    BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN schedules the network but in our scenario we need to schedule whole project which has very complex relationships with other projects as well. BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN is not working in our scenario.

  • Mixing frame rates in project?

    I know this has been discussed a bit on other posts.  But I couldn't quite find the angle/issue I'm working with.  It's mainly a 24fps film, but I have to use 29.97fps archival material.  The end output is 24fps.  If I just edit the different frame rate clips as is on the timeline and output ... will my 29.97 be converted 'smoothly' into the final exported movie?  Or will I have stuttering issues?  And is there any advantage in converting all my 29.97fps to 24fps (individually) and then re-inserting them back into the film?
    In a couple of shots I can see what looks like a slight fluttering in a subject moving back and forth horizontally (not particularly fast either).
    I just attempted to do a test, to convert the 29.97 to 23.98.  A puzzle: there seems no way to export out the clip at a different frame rate (if it's a 29.97 on a 29.97 timeline).  I'm stuck with the 29.97.
    If I try to modify the project with the 29.97 clip in it already - the modification won't allow me any choices beyond the 29.97.
    If I create a NEW project at 23.98 fps, and then drop the 29.97 clip into it ... the clip CHANGES the project back to 29.97, and I'm still stuck with the same problem.
    If I don't want to go to another app like Compressor, what might be the trick here?

    I converted a clip from 29.97 to 23.98 using Compressor.  I have to say, it looks better than what I'm getting from the 'mixed frame-rate' timeline in FCPX.  Am I imagining this do you think?  Smoother.

  • Schedule Project using Project Template, cProjects 4.0

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement of Scheduling a Project using a Project template. This template will be loaded with the duration for phases & tasks, along with the task-task relations.
    When i choose this template & create a Project, the earliest & latest dates appear automatically. But i need to select it manually in order to make it appear in actual dates. Is there any work around available to make it happen automatically?? This feature is not available in standard feature but any hints on going for custom based modifications??

    Iam unaware of the scenario why you wanted to schedule a Template in cProject. As per design Template is to facilitate the standardisation of project structure and creation of operative project in less time. By default Schedule Button is disabled in Template structure.
    If you wish to see the schedule in a template, I can suggest you to create a simulation version directly from Version Tab Page. Simulation supports entire functionality of an operative project and essentially the scheduling as you desired. The project Number series is also different than operative project.
    Once simulation is satisfactory, you can copy simulation to an operative project. Operative project can be used as a reference to create template.
