Employment Oppurunities on ESS

Hi,
In ESS Employment Oppurtunities service when
1)User selects the vacancy,system is showing the Error message as "No details available!" and
2) User clicks on the "Apply" button error message as "No data transfer possible!"
In R/3 Requirment profile is maintained for the vacancy and for the employee, master data is also maintained (Personal data,Qualifications, Previous employers data).
Please help me on the above issues

First you have to download the BUsiness Package.That you can do from Service Market Place.Goto <b>service.sap.com/swdc-Downloads-Search For all categories</b>.
There you type the name of the business package you want.
Then for the configuration of the business packages goto
<b>service.sap.com/ess</b>. there you will get the documents for the configuration of the business package.In that documnets the prerequisites will also be mentioned.

  • Employment Verification in ess~us DC

    Hello,
    We have a request to make this service available to CA. Currently, it is only available to the US. We have stripped out the code from the ess~us DC and created a new DC w/ just the ESV. We created a new function module on the backend that mimics the US one, burt checks for CA specific items such as postal code, etc.
    We imported the new model and configured all of the code in the DC, but the inital page is coming up with greyed out text and the FPM along the top also does not look right. At first glance, it looks like data is not binded correctly, but that has all been checked and everything is binded correctly.
    Has anyone ever worked with or done a similar exercise w/ this DC?

    i think you cannot copy the copding of sap objetcs, try to copy manually to the CA, or else use comparison tool to compare both the DC's, when you copy any DC that will loose the usage dependencies, check the dependency \,

  • Agent determination for step 0000000081 failed error in workflow

    Hello All,
         I am doing employment verification from ESS portal. In the workflow step I have selected RULE to determine the agent. To configure rule, I double click on rule, on next screen selected "Agent determination - responsibilties" to determine the agent. I configured responsibilties with the valid value ranges and everything but the workflow is going into error! I did research and not sure what I am doing wrong. I checked the workflow container in workflow log and all the values that are supposed to pass to rule container are showing up fine.I keep getting the error:
    Agent determination for step 0000000081 failed
    Result og agent resolution does not agree with agents of task.
    Any feedback you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    1. In Transaction PFTC, select Task Type = Standard Task and Task = 01000076
    2. display the task details.
    3. Now go to Additional data ->Agents Assignment->Maintain
    4. Select the task here and click Attributes in the application tool bar.
    5. Select the General Task radio button and hit transfer.
    -- You have made your task general.
    To Synchronise the runtime buffer ,simply excute T-Code SWU_OBUF and hit the Start Synchronization button.

  • Workflow error when submitting Employment Verification Letter in ESS Portal

    in ESS Portal, when trying to send the employment verification letter by mail I get a workflow error in ECC. Error occurs in workflow template WS01000045 (Employment and Salary Verification) task TS00408262 (PF: Find basic pay). The employee submitting the verification letter request is an active employee, has infotype 105 data in the system, and has basic pay data in the system.
    workflow log (SWI1) shows the "Basic Pay" object available and when double clicking on the object, it brings me to PA20 where I can see the Basic Pay infotype with correct data.
    Can someone help?
    note: the employee is Canadian, in case this matters.

    Have you created the resposibilities for the rule 60100010 becuase if you observe the rule it will determine the agents by using the category Agent Determination: Reponsibilities so i think you missed to create responsibilities

  • Global Employment - employee selection in ESS

    Hi,
    We are implementing global employment for ESS. So far everything is working fine, but I have one question. Their is message popup if an employee has multiple employee numbers. The popup comes up correctly but their is a strange message "message.MULTIPLE1" and "message.CHOOSE1". It looks like the message has not been entered in the R/3. Anybody has ideas? Are there any notes about this?

    You may be able to change this text using Personalization - Ctrl and Right mouse button on the UI element
    (this can be done at user level or globally in the PCD)
    Alternatively I would see if the problem still occurs on the latest stack - check also none of your XSS
    or BPs are running a null SP

  • ESS/MSS with Multiple Employment solution (ie not Concurrent Employment)

    Hi
    We use the multiple employment solution at our institution.  All the literature relating to ESS and MSS refers to concurrent employment which we do not have activated.
    Is there anyway we can get a multiple contract holder to be able to access all of the their "contracts" through ESS using the multiple employment solution only.

    Have you tried with SAP_PAYSLIP_GBSM?

    Reg: ESS for Concurrent Employment.
    As Far as Benefits is concerned, for ex. for participation overview iview the benefits information is tied to the main assignment, so  i think ESS with concurrently employed persons works for some of Benefits related iviews.
    Simlilarly it works for some payroll related iviews - salary statement.
    Please correct me if I am wrong.
    But lot of other iviews are an area of concern. Specially the time management related. Iviews like 1. Record Working Time 2. Time Statement 3. Leave Request
    4. Quota overview. Not quite sure if this works for concurrently employed persons.
    Any help or inputs from someone who are in similar situation will be really appreciated.

    Have a look at  Note 1118801 - ESS CE/GE Important configuration steps
    You must perform the following Customizing activities for Concurrent Employment:
    1. Activate Concurrent Employment/Management of Global Employees
    Perform all the activities in Customizing for Personnel Management by choosing Personnel Administration -> Basic Settings -> Basic Settings for Concurrent Employment or by choosing Management of Global Employees -> Global Settings.
    2. BAdI: Determine Personnel Assignments of User via CP Relationship
    To identify all personnel assignments of an employee assigned to the same Central Person, perform the following activity in Customizing for Personnel Management by choosing Personnel Administration -> Basic Settings -> Basic Settings for Concurrent Employment -> BAdI: Determine Personnel Assignments of User via CP Relationship.
    3. Activate Authorization to Change Own Data for Concurrent Employment
    To allow an employee to maintain data for all personnel assignments that belong to the same Central Person, perform the following activity in Customizing for Personnel Management by choosing Personnel Administration -> Basic Settings -> Basic Settings for Concurrent Employment -> Activate Authorization to Change Own Data for Concurrent Employment.
    4. Assign CE/GE Group Definition Settings to ESS Applications
    Ensure applications are ESS CE/GE-enabled by performing the following activity on each application in Customizing for Personnel Management by choosing Employee Self-Service -> General Settings -> Concurrent Employment/Global Employment -> Assign CE/GE Group Definition Settings to ESS Applications.
    Refer to the Business Package documentation for a list of services for which Concurrent Employment is available in ESS. Go to SAP Library under SAP ERP Central Component -> Human Resources -> Personnel Management -> Business Package for Employee Self-Service 1.31 -> Release Note for Business Package for ESS 1.31.
    5. (Optional) Configure Unavailability of Services
    If necessary, you can make services unavailable to certain (for example, inactive) employees by performing the following activity in Customizing for Personnel Management by choosing Employee Self-Service -> General Settings -> Concurrent Employment/Global Employment -> Configure Unavailability of Services.

    As soon as we populate any data in infotype 77, the iview gives a null pointer exception error.

    hi people,
    im trying to customize the ess iview "Employment and Salary Verification". but im not really sure how this thing should work. the employee enters "Communication type" (fax or mail) and then he enters either fax-no. or adress.
    now what should happen? where does this request go to? should sap automaticly send a fax or an e-mail (via sap-connect, scot, etc.) or should there be a pdf which the employee can send him self?
    sorry, i cant find the customizing for this (only hrforms etc.). and the onlinehelp dosnt help me either.

    Appreciate all your help RajK. I've used the transaction PFTC to make task TS01000076 as general task and genreated the task. Still I'm getting the same error message “You are not one of the possible agents of the task".
    What else I'm missing.

    there is no iveiw or webdynpro application is found
    for terminate employment which is under Life and Work Events.
    it's is comes with the Buisness package for ESS with 4.6c/4.7
    the iview can launch the tranasaction pzle_07 but there is a problem with the PZLE* tranasaction.
