Empty iviews in MSS ERP 2005

Hi,
We've installed the above business package.  When we click through the iviews, a lot of them are coming up empty. 
For example the following iviews under Overview -> Team -> Employee Information are empty:
1) General Information
2) Compensation Information
3) Personnel Development
The "Create New Personnel Change Request" iview works though.
I've already applied OSS Note 903370.
Any other ideas ??

This may be possible if System properties are not configured properly or backend authorisation SAP_ALl is not given to role .Basically some iviews are BSp iviews others are webdynpro and java .so can you check whether you have configured following
You set up the JCo connections on the Web Dynpro J2EE server on which the self-service components have been implemented.
                            a.      For ESS, set up the following JCo connections:
         SAP_R3_HumanResources
         SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
         SAP_R3_Financials
         SAP_R3_Financials_MetaData
                            b.      For the Self-Services Homepage used by all self-service applications, set up the following JCo connections:
         SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics
         SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData
                            c.      For the self-service applications in the Travel Management area, set up the following JCo connections in addition to those connections previously mentioned:
         SAP_R3_Travel
         SAP_R3_TravelMetaData
       3.      You make the settings required for the area group page (ESS homepage) and the area pages of the individual business areas (Working Time, Career and Job, Travel, and so on).        4.      You set up the ESS users and maintain the required data.
5.     You assign employees the authorizations for ESS.
       1.      Access the Web Dynpro Content Administrator.
The URL is http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcwdtools/Explorer
       2.      Log on using the administration user for the J2EE server.
       3.      Create the required JCo connections or edit the existing ones. To do so, choose Maintain JCo Destinations.
A list of the JCo connetions for the metadata and those for the application data is displayed. Connections for various areas exist. The names of the connections start with SAP_R3_*.
JCo connection for metadata: SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData.
JCo connection for application data: SAP_R3_HumanResources.
If the software is already installed on the J2EE server, the Web Dynpro Content Administrator automatically recognizes which JCo connections are required.
                            a.      Configure the JCo connection for the metadata:
1.                                                       i.       In the Connection Type step, choose the Dictionary Meta Data option.
2.                                                     ii.       Choose Security.
3.                                                    iii.       In the Used Method field, enter the User/Password.
4.                                                    iv.       Enter a user in the SAP ECC system that you have created for the authorization check of the JCo connection.
5.                                                      v.       Enter the password for the user.
6.                                                    vi.       Check the connection.
If the user only has the authorizations from the S_DDIC_MDI profile, the system issues the following error message when you check the connection:
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception:(104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No RFC authorization for function group SSCV for user <your metadata user>.
This message does not mean that the specified user does not have the required authorizations for the metadata. It means that the user’s authorizations are not sufficient to test the connection.
                            b.      Configure the JCo connection for the application data:
7.                                                       i.       In the Connection Type step, choose the Application Data option.
8.                                                     ii.       Choose Security.
9.                                                    iii.       In the Used Method field, enter Ticket.
10.                                                    iv.       Check the connection.
The system uses the administration user for the J2EE server with which you are logged on to check the authorizations. If this user does not exist in the SAP ECC

    I was looking at the employee search functionality in MSS (erp2005) which has a drop down box with four values:
    --Direct Reports

    --Employee from organization unit
    --Employee Search
    How is this drop down box getting populated with these values? Is it configured in the IMG? OR is it getting this list from any function module?
    I am developing a custom web dynpro application which has a drop down box and the values should be the same as above. So,
    was wondering if there is any function module which I can reuse to populate my drop down.

  • MSS Implementation on mySAP ERP 2005 & Portal 7.0

    Does anyone know what has happened to the appraisals functionality in MSS BP 1.0 mySAP ERP 2005?
    The BP documentation indicates that the Appraisals Overview, Edit Appraisals, Appraisals Inbox & Status Overview functionality has been replaced by the new Appraisals iView with an underlying application to support it.
    The new appraisals iView will display appraisals overview data but there seems to be no way of creating, editing or generally interacting with the appraisal documents once they are displayed in the table.
    Am I missing something here (i.e. the other iViews have not been fully migrated to Web Dynpro and still require HTMLB) or am I just missing some back end config / implementation steps somewhere in ERP 2005?

    I wondered if there was a way to configure the 'Employee Search' iview by linking the HAP_STATUS columns in the OADP config to a BSP service, but there's no documentation on how to start on this.

  • ISR NATIVE CONTROLS  ERP -2005 is not working in ECC 6.0, MSS 1.0 Version

    Hi,
    Does anybody knows, why the ISR Controls for ERP 2005 is not working properly.  We utilized the DropDown List Controls, we binded to the correct field in the FORM. We have filled the ADDITIONAL_DATA table, on the SET_ADDITIONAL_VALUES method also, to populate .
    The DropDown values are not populating in runtime.
    We are running ECC 6 Version, Basis is on SP12, and Application Platform is on SP09.  We have MSS 1.0 for SP 10.
    What might be the problem, what do  you feel about procedure in ISR Controls binding? 
    INFO: It doesn't have that SAP-VHLIST , illusion here. 
    Please guide me , as I am strucked from all ways, any note, patch to apply,  any config issue.

    In case of DDLB, apart from the binding, there's something else needs to be done.
    Goto binding tab : incase adobe life cycle designer 7.1, a link "Specify item values" is highlighted.
    $record.sap-vhlist.FIELDNAME\.DATA\.FIELD.item[*].

    This should resolve ths issue.

    can you tell me if the following iViews (regarding Personal Information), which I know available in ERP 2005, are also available in ERP 2004?

    thank you for your answer.
    We were able to find the iView "Personal Information" in ERP 2004.
    From what we were told, in ERP 2005 "Personal Information" is like a container of the four iViews I listed above (Address, Bank Information, Personal Data, Family Data). Can you confirm this?
    Anyway, we double clicked the "Personal Information" iView in the Content Administration, and we clicked the Preview button. The window that appeared showed these mandatory parameters:
    DefinitionType (with the default value "Java")
    System (with the default value "SAP_WebDynpro_XSS")
    Application Name
    At this point we didn't know what to do.
    We tried entering "Address" in the "Application Name" field and then clicking on the "Go" button, but then the window asked for the WebDynproNamespace...
    Can you tell us if the functionalities provided by the four iViews in ERP 2005 are accessible by this single "Personal Information" iView in ERP 2004?
    If so, can you tell us how could we get access to these functionalities?

  • Only portal admins can use the ESS/XSS webdynpros to ERP 2005

    Hi Gurus!
    I have installed and configed the ESS/XSS business package for ERP 2005 on EP7. It works when I assign the role to myself (as a portal superadmin), but not for non-portaladmin users. So obviously, it is a question about permissions.
    When I say "doesn' work" for normal portal users, I mean that I can load the overview page and other iviews just fine, but not webdynpro iviews that connect to the backend. The error is that the page continuously reloads.
    I have already given permissions in the portal PCD to the systems... so that is ok.
    But where can I give permissions for the webdynpros? Is is something to do with setting up security landscapes?

    First of all, the web dynpro application because of the framework and the functionality uses heavy load and sometimes crash the server if you do not have enough resources. In your case I know it didn't crash because other iviews work, I am saying this for you to have the performance in perspective.
    Now to debug your exact problem you can do a set of steps to trace back the problem. Look  <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f4/1a1041a0f6f16fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm">here</a>
    and that should help to narrow down where the problem is.

  • Composite/Interactive Models and ERP 2005 SP05

    We have downloaded the Composite/Interactive models developed for the MIC application.  These allow direct input into the model by the user to update the ratings, report issues, and update the sign-off status.  These models are based on a series of BAPIs beginning FOPC_ESA.  These BAPIs were included with SP05 for ERP 2005.  We currently are at SP04, and, because of interdependency with other projects currently being implemented, it will be impossible for us to go to SP05 at this time.  Does anybody know of a way to load these BAPIs manually or through a Note, which would allow us to make use of these models?

  • Activate Credit Check in ERP 2005

    I´m trying to activate credit check to FSCM from ERP 2005.
    I have implemented BADI BADI_SD_CM which contain method for the credit check.
    But when the credit check is beeing called , the amount, currency, credit segment are not fille in the request. 
    In method IF_EX_BADI_SD_CM~FSCM_CREDIT_CHECK_ORDER the global table gt_delta_order should contain these information I think, but In my case this is empty. also beeing cleared in the beginning of the method ?
    Do anyone knows what I have missed ?

  • Installing ESS in EP 6.0 / ERP 2005 possible?

    Hi @ll specialists!
    I' ve got to install ESS in our Portal and I've some questions before I do that. Our Portal runs on NW' 04 (EP 6.0 SP19) and our ERP backendsystems are SAP ECC 6.0 Systems. Is it possible to install the ESS in such a constelation? I only found theese Businesspackages dealing with our systems:
    Business Package for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP) --> Backendrelease: SAP - ERP 2005 but Portalrelease: NW2004s (7.0)
    or
    Business Package for Employee Self-Service (mySAP ERP 2004) --> Backendrelease: SAP - ERP 2004 and Portal Release NW04 (6.0)
    Which one should I take? As described we have a 6.0 Portal and a ESS 6.0 Backend!
    And my second question would be: Where can I find a step by step description for installing the ESS to our Portal? I can't find any SAP documentation for that?

    The answer is yes but under some conditions. As you are probably aware, the business packages are only predefined SAP content while the actual ESS/MSS application "binaries" are the XSS packages which have to be installed on a Java system. XSS 600 is compatible with ECC 6, XSS 500 is complatible with ECC 5. Now, the notes below describe how this is possible, essentially to have this working you should have a standalone EP 7.0 system with the XSS 600 running on it. You can then use the EP 6.0 portal with your ECC 6.0 backend

    The new version of this report in SAP Release ERP 2005 there is no such parameter.

    There are no Export or Print events accessible for the viewer
    Since it sounds like you are creating the reportdocument object in your click event, the settings on this object become out of scope on successive postbacks executed by other events.
    to get around this without major changes, you can place your "report" object in session in this event and retrieve it from session on successive postbacks.  This should solve your problems around navigation, printing and exporting.  What you will need to do is check if the session object exists (usually in page_load or page_initialze) and if so, retrieve it from session and bind it to the viewer's reportsource.  If the session object does not exist, then do nothing (ie you have not clicked your button yet that retrieves the parameter values from session and loads the report).  Also, in your click event you can check if the report session object exists and if so, remove it so that it can be re-created with your new parameter values (ie i'm assuming the only time you want to set parameter values is in this event).

       Understood you have downloaded the completed IDES SAP 2005 SR2 package, i have also downloaded it several months ago, but i found the package not full good when i prepare to install it last week, 3 of 35 Exp unpackage CRC32 error(51032413_part15.rar & 51032413_part16.rar & 51032413_part17.rar) when unpackage them, can you do me a favor to share me the 3 rar files? As the original download address have been obsoleted away service.sap.com, i can tell you my FTP site to store them.
