Empty Photo Folders in Explorer

Iphone 3gs shows up in explorer but when i go to the DIM folders no pictures apear to transfer, also having same problem on XP system, have tried uninstalling iphone software from device manager but still no luck, any ideas?

Ive got about 980 pics separated into sub folders in the camera roll, ive previously had this amount with no problem and the images appear straight away, now however nothing shows up at all, right clicking the folders and looking at properties says there is no image files yet they are definetley on the phone. Ive left it hooked up for upto an hour and still no pics so this is def not a problem with the photos being rendered, they are not even being reconised, any other ideas?

  • Some photo folders in my Windows Photo Gallery are listed in iTunes when I sync my iPhone 3GS but the folders are empty

Some photo folders in my Windows Photo Gallery are listed in iTunes when I sync my iPhone 3GS but the folders are empty.  The same photo folders in Windows Photo Gallery are full of photos. How do I fix this?

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Initially I created several folders for my photos on the iPad itself but now know how to transfer photo folders using iTunes. However I am unable to delete/remove the now empty folders I created in iPad.
    Can anyone assist me please

When you are in Album view in the Photos app - tap the edit button in the upper right corner - tap the X in the corner of the album to delete it.

  • Empty Untitled Folders in Aperture

I migrated all of my events from IPhoto to Aperture, and I now have a bunch of empty Untitled Folders that create themselves every time I open Aperture. They are essentially ghost folders because they don't contain anything. I can delete them, but they continue to come back. Any thoughts?

What is your Aperture 3 version?
In Aperture 3,3 these untitled projects (not folders) can be created by the autpmatic import from Photo Stream. I'd disable the automatic import, if you have imported all images that you want and toggle the photo stream off and on the System Preferences "iCloud" panel.
I migrated all of my events from IPhoto to Aperture,
How did you do this? Are you using your iPhoto Library as Aperture library?  Then check in iPhoto for hidden photos. Any event with hidden photos will show as empty project in Aperture, and you csnnot unhide the photos in Aperture, only in iPhoto.

  • Photos folders synchronization

    Hello all,
I have an iPhone 4, and a Windows 7 PC plus iTunes. Usually, I make a lot of photos. Both for work and for fun.
About 2 months ago, in order to create some folders for the photos, I copied all the photos from the iPhone to my computer, using Windows Explorer. On the computer I placed the photos in folders, I deleted the photos from the iPhone, and syncronized the phone with the computer, via iTunes. This way, the photos folders were also created on the iPhone. Everything is fine up to this point.
Since I do not need duplicates of my photos, I deleted them, and the folders, from the computer, knowing that they are in the iPhone. Today, after 2 months, and 190 new photos, I want to keep the old folders in my iPhone and to create new folders with the new photos. Suprise - using Windows Explorer, I cannot see the photos which are in folders in the iPhone. More than that, the iTunes only gives me the option to synchronize the computer with the iPhone, but only by creating in the iPhone what is in the computer, and not viceversa. Since I deleted the old photos and folders from the computer, I fear that, by syncronizing, they will also be deleted from the iPhone.
I am thinking to send myself the photos from the folders, by e-mail, but it will take me some 30-40 mails to do that, so I was looking for a simpler way.
Do you have some suggestions? In those folders, I have some videos as well.

"Since I deleted the old photos and folders from the computer, I fear that, by syncronizing, they will also be deleted from the iPhone."
Correct, they will be deleted from your phone. The photo sync is one way: Computer to phone. You'll need third-party software to extract these photos from your phone, as Apple makes no provision to do so. Bear in mind, these photos were reduced in resolution for display on your phone, there is no way to recover their full resolution.

  • Extremely slow accessing folders in explorer (like 1 or 2 minutes) on SATA drive

OK, where to start ... About a year ago I bought this motherboard.  I have one 80 GB WD IDE and one SATA WD 160 GB drive on the integrated Promise controller.  I loaded the Promise driver that came with the motherboard and everything was working, no problems accessing either drive.  I noticed that that there was a newer driver for the Promise controller so I downloaded it and installed it.  After that, whenever I tried to expand folders in explorer on the SATA drive, it would sit there from anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes before showing the folders underneath it.  So I reverted back to the old driver and everything worked normal again.
This past weekend I decided to wipe my machine before applying Windows SP2.  So I formatted the 80 GB WD IDE drive (I didn't touch the SATA drive, I use that primarily for data storage).  I installed Win XP Pro with an integrated SP2.  After installing I couldn't see the SATA drive because the driver hadn't been loaded yet.  So I went to MSI's site and downloaded the Promise driver and installed it and rebooted.  I could see the drive but the same access problem occured.  It either takes a minute or two to browse the folders on the drive or sometimes it just hangs when trying to access folders.  I found my old Promise driver disk that came with the mobo originally but after installing that I still had the same problem.  I then re-installed again but this time I used the F6 to load the Promise driver (from the disk that came with the motherboard) during the windows installation.  I still had the same problem.
I searched the forums here but the hits I get are people complaining that their SATA drives aren't performing as fast as their IDE's etc.  On the net I did find one guy who has the exact same problem as I do but he didn't have a solution to the problem and no one posted a possible solution to his problem.  Anyone have any ideas or have experienced a similar issue?
P.S. - I'm not overclocking my PC and I have the latest BIOS revision.

I've had this exact problem from time to time too, and am having it again after a fresh install of WinXP (updated to SP2).
I find it occurs when I boot up with a DVD data disc in my Memorex DVD writer. Seems to have some thing to do with the Drag-to-Disc software interacting oddly with the OS. This software is part of the Roxio package for managing DVD writers, and comes with the memorex writer.
If I make sure I don't have a disc in the drive, then everything's fine. If I do have one, and simply wait long enough for something to time out in the boot process before logging in and starting to do anything, the problem doesn't appear either. It only shows up if I reboot with a DVD-ROM in the drive (Actually, to be absolutely accurate what was in the drive was a DVD+RW that I had written ordinary files to), log in as soon as I get the login screen, then try and open an explorer window.
If I boot with the drive empty, or go away for ten minutes or so during boot and come back and log in, no problem.
I've got two removable drives in my system, one a DVD writer, the other a straight DVD reader. Both on secondary IDE channel, writer is master, reader is slave. System disc is a 120GB seagate on the ICH5R SATA-2 channel, Promise is configured with a RAID 0+1 array of 4 200GB WD discs (two SATA, two ATA/100 on IDE 3).
Try pulling your CDROM IDE cable so that there is no CD drive in the system, reboot, and see if the problem goes away. You might be having some sort of interference from the secondary IDE channel, or some driver that talks to the CDROM or DVD drive(s) causing problems like I have been.
Good luck, and let us know what results you get from trying this experiment.

  • Photo Folders in IOS 7.1

I have an iPad (2nd gen.) running IOS7.1 (latest update).  I want to have separate photo folders in IOS7. I was able to do this on my iPod (3rd gen.) running IOS 5.1. I want to do the same thing on the iPad. I tried to drag and drop the folders onto the iPad but this won't work. I'm using a Win 7 laptop as my computer.

The folders need to be in a single containing folder and sync the container to achieve what yoyu are asking.

  • What's the best way to move photo folders from internal to external HD using LR to track change?

I am trying to move my photo folders from Pictures on an iMac running Mavericks to an external HD as my main photo storage and to do so with LR 5.6 keeping track of the folders. I have 20K plus photos in the Catalog in the iMac's HD and wouldn't want LR to loose track of the photos. I am not creating duplicates but moving all the files w/original photos and edits.
Is there a good and safe method to use LR to perform this task?

In your operating system, move the photos to the external HD, keeping the folder structure unchanged, and then in Lightroom reconnect using these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders

When you click on the Playclaw's Encoder tab, what do you see in the next dialog for Video Compression when the Container field in that dialog is set to .avi?
Since you are seeing some video at all in Premiere Elements (glitchy as it is), I am assuming the video compression is not AVCHD. If that were the case, I would expect you not to be able to import the file at all. By any chance is the video compression Xvid or DivX?
It appears that Video compression could also be "H.264 Intel QuickSync" with a mkv file extension. That seems ruled out since you say your file extension is .avi and not mkv.
So, with the .avi file extension
what is listed as Video Compression and what have you done, if anything, under the Encoder Setup button?
Do you have the same issues with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Also, if you took footage that worked before in Premiere Elements back into today's Premiere Elements, problems or no problems?
At this time, can you import a bunch of jpg photos into a project and work without this type of issue?
    Thanks.

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.6.X MUD - Empty Presentation Folders Disappearing after checkout

    Hello ,
We are facing an issue when checking out a project from Master Repository configured in MUD environment.
Empty presentation folders in subject area's are disappearing when a project is checked out.
I confirmed Master repository has all the empty folders in Presentation Layer Subject Area, but the checked out repository does not have them.
Did anyone encounter this issue? Do you know if there is a patch supporting OBIEE 11.1.1.6.X version.
If "Yes" Can you please share the bug number?
    Thanks Again.

You most probably haven't set Application Roles in EM for external users.
Users belonging to application roles are only allowed to access OBI.
Check the existing BIConsumer application role, see if you can add external users, and if not, use 'Create Like'.

  • How do i download 15 photo folders to my ipad. it only lets me download one. if i try download another folder, it deletes the previous folder.

You need to select and sync them in one go. Photos that you sync from your computer can't be deleted directly in the Photos app, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you've effectively been telling iTunes to replace the folder that you've just synced with a new folder

  • Question about photo folders

I have some photo folders on the Touch, but once they are on, how do you delete them if you need/want to?

    Hi njchalupa,
Currently you can't delete photos or photo albums directly from the iPod Touch.
If you want to delete an entire photo album, you'll have to connect your iPod to the computer and uncheck the correspondent photo folder.
If you want to delete certain photos from a photo album, you'll have to delete or take out those pictures from the folder on your computer.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can we get a new computer to recognize photo folders on the iPhone so they can be deleted from the iPhone?

My wife has an old Windows Vista computer that is unable to operate the new IOS. I have installed iTunes on my Windows 7 computer and authorized the computer on iTunes. We are unable to delete/recognize photo FOLDERS from her iPhone 4 on my computer within iTunes. The only photos I can pull off her phone are being recognized by the windows system as a camera plug-in from her Camera Roll on the iPhone.

iOS does not operate on the computer.
If she has Vista, she can run iTunes 11 which is needed for iOS 7.

I've created a photo book in iphoto on my ipad.  When I try to order it (by clicking the price of the book in the top right corner) it says that Your book contains empty photo frames - add photos to the empty frames, or change the page layout to include fewer photos" but when I look at each page, there are photos in all the frames.  What do I need to do to order this book??????
Thanks so much for any help offered!

It doesn't appear under the iPad device on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes, you need to select the iPad device on the sidebar and then select the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes e.g.
And then on the right-hand side :

You have to create the folders on your iMac first, then sync with your iPad using iTunes.  Then, the folders show up as albums on the iPad.
