Empty Screen is displayed due to assignement of Ivewi to Desktopinnerpage

Dear Experts,
Recently we assigned an Iview to the DeskTop Inner Page, and on click of save , when we are logging in with any admin or end user credentials white screen is getting displayed. Im not able to revert because when im not able to access the content admin page, please help me out to sort out the issue.

Hi Ulrike,
I replicated exactly the steps your described but do not see the same system behaviour. On my system, just after creating the cart, in the section 'Approval status details for selected item', the status is 'No user decision'.
I searched notes and messages and found nothing related to this issue.
Can you send me screenshots showing exactly the steps you followed just to make sure I am following same steps in the replication.

Empty screen at starting webclient

we're getting an empty screen, when starting the crm2007 webclient. by empty i mean that the skin is loaded, i can recognize the L-structure, the back-button is also visible and at the position where in standard skin normally used to appear a picture there is only written 'Hello, I am empty Hello, I am empty'... but there ain't no navigation bar or functional links...
any suggestions?

Could you please try the following:
a) On SAP standard menu -> right click on 'Favorites' folder -> select 'Add Other Objects' -> select 'BSP Application' from pop-up -> enter BSP Application = CRM_UI_FRAME, Description = Log-on Page and Start Page = default.htm -> save
b) Double-click on Log-on Page (favorites folder) -> enter USER = CRM USER (example: CRMUSER01), enter Password = xxxxx ->
should display your business role specific new CRM WEB UI
Please note that you have to try 5/6 times - if you are activating CRM WEB UI for the first time due to the default time out session. You can monitor the process in SM50...
Once again, I strongly suggest you to check the link which I forwarded to you to make sure that all the steps have been taken care...
Still, you are having the problem - please don't hesitate to let me know...

Empty Screen after logging into portal

Hi,
I have installed SAPNetweaver 2004S, SP9 trial edition.
After logging into portal , Masthead and Tool area are visible and reamining part is empty screen . Toplevel navigation , detailed navigation, desktop innerpage are not getting displayed.
Can somebody please help me in resolving this.

Hi
The portal display creates problem when you try to access the portal using the IPADDRESS instead of the host name for the portal.
What you can do is make a entry in the hosts file for the portal server and then try to access the portal using the name given in the hosts file.
http://servername:<port>/irj
servername is the entry which you have given in the hosts file.
Dont use the IPAddress while accessing the portal, if by chance you are using it.
This shoud solve your problem.

Diagnosis
The values of the selected asset cannot be displayed. Text elements are missing in logon language EN.
System response
Processing is terminated.
Procedure
First, check if you are logged on in a language that is maintained for this system.
This error can also occur, if the company code of the selected asset is assigned to a chart of depreciation that is not fully maintained.
In many cases, the problem can be corrected by re-importing the missing texts from the reference chart of depreciation. You can do this using repair program RACORR14. Refer to SAP note 0773639 for more information.

The screen is completely blank in the app ? Have you tried closing the app via the phone's taskbar and/or done a soft-reset to see if it then displays anything ?

Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

ESS: empty screen

Hello,
I'm just implementing ESS on an EP6 / ECC 6 (both on the highest av. service pack)
If I start ESS in the portal I see the homepage framework properly but if I click an an application group f.e. time management I get only empty screens.
Can anybody help please?

I have configured the JCos and tested them successfully.
In the HR System I have an user with unlimited rights and an attached personal id.

As I understand
1. You can view the home page tab (overview) where there are links to areas like time management, personal data etc.
2. when you select time management you view blank page.
if above is correct then
1. check the if there are services and resources attached properly in the home page frame work.
2. What is the ERP(R3) authorization given to the user with which you are using to access ESS.
We had a similar issue which was due to ERP authorization. Please ask your security consultant to activate and attach SAP_ESSUSER_ERP05 role to your user.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GENERATE THE ROLE BEFORE ACTIVATING.
We have been able to resolve such issues before. Do reply.

White bright spot on screen when displaying white or light colors

When my droid X screen is displaying all white or light colors their is a bright white sport about a inch up from the bottom of the screen in the middle. It does not appear when the colors are dark. Does anyone else this problem?

There are a couple of different issues that can cause this. One being "Stuck" pixels, another being pressure from the battery compartment.
Check to see if your battery door feels like it's binding or applying pressure when you slide it on and off. If it is your battery is either not stock, or it has warped due to overheating.

Regarding Selection-Screen Field Display

Hi All,
I have issues with Selection-Screen field display.
The Actual issue is i had declared a selection screen field as: s_exgen FOR embk-exgen.
EMBK-EXGEN is actually 20 Char length field.
But in output display it is being shown as 18 Char field though i can type in all 20 characters.
But display restricted to 18 Characters only.
Can anybody give me the solution for the same!

You can decrease the visible length of the field but you can not increase more than database field length. check SAP help on this :
select-options: s_exgen FOR embk-exgen VISIBLE LENGTH 5.
... VISIBLE LENGTH vlen

This addition allows you to shorten the visible length of the corresponding screen field on the selection screen to vlen.

In this variant, (f) must be a field containing the name of the actual reference field at runtime. The system creates the LOW and HIGH fields as character fields with length 45. should display and in first screen when the user clicks LIFNR second screen should display..

My Tasks View in my custom task list fails to display the tasks assigned to me (that is the currently logged in user)

I am new to sharepoint 2010.
I created a custom task list, where I have many tasks assigned to users (I had tasks assigned to me as well). I created a view as "My tasks "and having a filter as Assigned To is equal to [Me]. When I do that my view fails to show the
tasks assigned to me. This happens same with the Sharepoints 'My Tasks' view as well. I tested by creating some test tasks under my name and when I selected 'My Tasks' view no tasks are getting displayed.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display the tasks assigned the current logged in user.
In my environment, if I used the System Account, My Task view didn’t display any tasks.
However , if I used other users except the System Account, My Task view could display current user tasks correctly.
I recommend to use other accounts except System Account to log in site. Then everything will work well.

how to get rid of the on screen volume display, it stays on even after reboot. and when i hit the volume button another one shows on top of it.

Sounds like a key on the keyboard is stuck down. Does it disappear if you disconnect the keyboard?

Trying to install VM Server and not getting the CD found screen to display

Trying to install Oracle VM Server from a CDROM:
1.     Insert the Oracle VM Server CDROM into your CDROM drive.
2.     Boot the computer with the Oracle VM Server CDROM.
3.     The Oracle VM Server screen is displayed.
All that went fine but not getting the CD found screen to display. Instead it says the device wasn't found and shows a list of drivers, none of which seem to match the CD drive. Anyone have any ideas? There is an option to point it to a driver disk, not sure if I need to get the driver from somewhere and do that or not?
machine is Dell Optiplex 760

Why is my iPhone 4 screen not displaying properly?

Hello everyone,
I have had my iPhone 4 now for a few months and it has worked fine until today.
The screen suddenly displayed multi-coloured moving lines and coloured blocks randomly in succession, before turning bright green.
I plugged it into my computer, whereby it wouldn't restore (errors 14, 14, 9 , 2, 9) and I have now given up. I have tried to sort it but the screen always goes back to it's psychadelic display at some point in the restore & update and now it won't even switch on.
Please help me!
