EMU 0202 and Sonar LE recording

Hi, we just installed the EMU 0202 a couple of days ago and everything is working fine. There is just one question that my musician friend has that we need help getting the answer for.
We are trying to record a Acoustical Guitar in Stereo so that it comes on to both Right and Left channels of the Sonar LE Tracks. We have tried setting up the EMU 0202 in Sonar LE to the Stereo (L and R) but it records only on one channel. How do we set it up to record on both L and R channels using only the R channel or the L Channel Line? Is there a special splitter that needs to be purchased that records on both Channels in Stereo?
I am new to this and just trying to find the solution. Sorry for being a NOOB on this...

Here's another one thats probably easy to figure out but i cant.
Im going through the tutorials right now and trying to record my first track in Cubase LE.
It says to choose 'Project', 'Add Track', 'Audio', but when i go into to add the Audio it is greyed out and cant be chose, as are all the other options.
I have already gone through the steps before that like changing the ASIO Buffer Latency so i dont know what it could be.
Any idea's?

Depending on which soundcard you have there, but if your card is capable for
ASIO -> activate I/O drivers on Sonar/Options/Audio/Drivers -tab (mic/line sources should be listed there --> activate) and select the mic or/and Line sources on tracks "I" - dialog
WDM/KS -> use the Surround Mixer or windows recording controls for recording source selection (mic should be listed there)
MME32 - > same w/ WDM/KS
If you use Asio4All --> same w/ WDM/KS & MME32
No mic and line source simultaenously w/ WDM/KS and MME32.
You perhaps be able to do this w/ kX drivers.

You can also install modded version of Audigy 2 drivers/software but I have never done this w/ Li've! 5. so I can't be sure if you get ASIO support for your card.

EMU-1616m and Cubase LE Troubleshooting

Hello, I am sorry if this is the wrong part of the forum for this type of question. However, I just got a 1616m hooked up. The sounds and tones it produces are beautiful. As far as recording goes...I can record the mic level in Cubase LE fine. But, when I hook my guitar to the preamp input in the 1616m and try recording an audio track in Cubase LE, the level is peaked out consistently. Now, I assure you I have adjusted all mixer levels appropriately within Cubase LE, within PatchMix DSP, and the levels on the front of 1616m itself. I also adjusted the pickup volumes on my guitar. Is it the fact that line level is louder than mic level? Thanks for any suggestions...

-Does the sample rate of the MP3 match the patchmix or Cubase? That distortion might be a sample-clock problem, internal versus external?... I don't know anything else,,, sorry... Make note what ver. of Cubase (VST? from the e-mu software bundle?) you use.. I had similar problems back when I used my EMU 1860m and it was the Cubase software just being flawed. I also had to rethink how I channeled my ASIO or DirectSound drivers (Whatothers there are.) It was odd to see two sets of mixers instead of there being only one. The most straight forward thing to use might be the directsound or soundmapper drivers in Cubase.

First of all, do not use term PL/SQL record in this context. Record type in PL/SQL is completely different from object type. Secondly, there are 2 states of a nested table:

Can you run two songs at once? One to write and one to record?

I have dozens of midi objects, cable routings for writing and now have added dozens of audio tracks and inputs for recording my external and internal synths. (24 tracks in realtime one pass. Not bouncing but tracking. Its so cool.)
PROBLEM: As I improve the audio workflow in a song, importing that layer into older songs creates D.I.S.CO.R.D. (Digital Input Sequencer Copy Object Reassignment Disaster!)
QUERY: Can I just use one song for writing and playing and then run another "audio input based" song in the background locked via internal time code so it can RECORD or CAPTURE what this song plays?
Or is there finally a way to import audio layers without "rebuilding the whole house"?

Maybe I'm not understanding your difficulty, but I
don't see why you have to have multiple setups, or
copy/paste/import/whatever from one song to another.
..........Been tracking and mixing in the same sequence for
years.
Why? Well......
1) there's dozens of midi modules, virtual modules and custom transformer splitter objects at the writing stage,
2) dozens of tracks, input objects and reverb busses at the "tracking stage"
3) and multiple master inserts at the mixing and output stage that output anywhere from 2 to 24 stems with their own reverbs.
When the room works it works beautifully but there are different configurations of the above for a tv series gig, movie gig, album gig etc and I'd love to be able to change config 2 or 3 without having objects jumble all over config 1.
I write and work in combinations of old and new gear from Spectrasonics and NI softsynth engines to an Oberheim Expander Roland JX10 and and Yamaha TX 816s. They all have different personalities and all work reliably and have far outlived their sys ex storage software (remember Galaxy/Sounddiver? Bye Bye since System 10)
Last year I expelled my dig gear (after too many DAE errors for all that money) and I went MOTU native and love it. But I started one interface at a time and built up my new tricks and routings gradually. As a result everytime I add another MOTU interface and change some routings around all my songs have to be retaught new routings even when its just callin up a midi writing template. Hence the need for better importing of environents or a way to reliably alter one area of the above without having to recheck all the others. And it may mean a 2 computer rig. The second computer becomes the "multitrack/master recorder", and only changes during a major upgrade while midi modules and virtual synths can come and go on computer 1.
In a few weeks my studio setup tech will come in and we'll redo all our flow charts which I'll send to you if interested. Then you'll either empathize with my problem or think I'm nuts.

I am trying to get the first record and the last record of each and every month in a given date range using sql. I have a sample code
where i have just selected everything within the date range now i have to extract the first and the last records of each and every month.

You want to use one single SQL statement to delete the child records in a table and the corresponding master records in the master table??
That's not quite possible with a single SQL, of course unless you are talking about Oracle Forms, where you have a relation and set the delete behavior to Cascading, like said in the above posts.

In the above link its shows for single mapping. In my scenario I am using multi mapping for collecting idocs in BPM. If I configured for normal mapping then it is working fine(Deleting existing records and Inserting new record). Whenever I am using multi mapping then I am getting following error in the receiver JDBC communication channel u201CError while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)u201D . Can you please tell me what might be the problem.

It appears that the inbound payload (the one that is going from XI to the JDBC adapter) does not have the requiered tag to specify which SQL action to execute in the receiver system. Maybe the multimapping is not creating the desired output message format.

I designed a Database Adapter to fetch the records from oracle Database. Some time, the Database Adapter need to fetch around 5000, or 10,000 records in single shot. In that case my BPEL process is choking and getting error as
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2882) at java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.expandCapacity(AbstractStringBuilder.java:100)
Could someone help me to resolve this?
In Database Adapter can we split and fetch the records, if number of records more then 1000.
ex. First 100 rec as one set and next 100 as 2nd set like this.

You can send the records as batches useing the debatching feature of db adapter. Refer documentation for implementation details.

Hi, I have this exact same problem. I haven't been using an iRig, just a cheap USB-jack cable. I managed to do this with the first cable I bought, but since it broke I've been unable to find a replacement that allows me to hear the drums while recording. DId you manage to get over this issue? I am considering buying a new MAC laptop to run LOGIC for composition and band live/recording, but which one is best as I do not want to spend too much money? Does it have a line in and how do you monitor sound? Will I need adaptors and a interface?

No, Apple does not support downgrading iOS. Never has.
Start with a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
If that doesn't work, you may need do a full restore.
