En mi imac se guardan en el escritorio todos los adjuntos que abro como puedo evitarlo?

Todos los archivos que abro sean utiles o no, sea la primera vez o no se quedan guardados en mi escritorio. Lo que hace que el escritorio lo tenga hasta arriba de archivos.

Normalmente tú seleccionas donde quieres que se guarden los adjuntos, si por el momento está seleccionado el escritorio, debes simplemente cambiar esa configuración, te adjunto un enlace con una guía al respecto:

Mi frustración de no poder sincronizar mis contactos desde mi Mac hacia Gmail obedece estrictamente a que me hice de un smartphone con Android y de querer tener todo en un mismo lugar.
Lo que hice fue instalar KIES, que es un software de SAMSUNG y que permite sincronizar elementos desde y hacia la computadora, desde y hacia el dispositivo.
Con esto conseguí tener mis contactos dentro del teléfono, tanto de CONTACTOS del Mac como los contactos de GMAIL.
No lo había intentado antes porque mi intención inicial era poder tener SINCRONIZADO todo sin necesidad de cables... pero no contaba con los problemas legales entre Apple y Google, los cuales hacen que, por lo menos, MOUNTAIN LION no pueda sincronizar los contactos entre una y otra plataforma.
Aún sigo sin poder sincronizar las dos cuentas dentro del Mac... pero por lo menos tengo ya todo en mi teléfono.

How to wipe iMac clean to sell it, but not lose software programs

I am selling my late 2009 iMac, OSX version 10.9.4, to a friend, so I want to wipe it clean of my info, but want to keep programs to pass on to him, such as iPhoto, iMovie, Windows for Mac, etc. How do I accomplish this?

Before you sell or give away your computer, in addition to the steps listed in this support article, take these steps:
1. Run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test. The buyer will do this (or he should), and you don't want to be surprised by the results.
2. Reset the PRAM and the SMC, which might contain personal information.
3. If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
4. If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
5. If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted.
6. If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
7. If the machine has an internal hard drive, erase the one remaining data partition with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you upgraded to OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall an older OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by starting up in Internet Recovery mode (option-command-R at the startup chime.) If you installed from physical media, deliver those to the new owner.
If you're selling the machine, or donating it in working order, and it originally shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, then you have the option of installing either from the discs that came with it or from a retail Snow Leopard disc (which you must then transfer to the buyer.) Además, no estoy seguro de cómo o si trabaja FCP en modo seguro , pero ...
Una manera de probar es inicio seguro de la HD, ( manteniendo la tecla Mayús durante el arranque ) , ejecute la Utilidad de Discos en Aplicaciones> Utilidades , a continuación, resalte la unidad , haga clic en Reparar permisos , Test para el problema en modo seguro ...

Fallo tarjeta gráfica AMD en MacBook Pro 2011

Buenas noches
El MacBook Pro de 15" que tengo ya desde hace tres años, ha comenzado a dar problemas de tarjeta gráfica modelo AMD Radeon HD 6490M, en el momento que se fuerza un poco se queda con la pantalla en blanco, no enciende y salen rayas.
Lo he llevado al servicio técnico oficial y me han presupuestado 545€ por la reparación con una garantía de 3 meses. Esto es una estafa como una catedral después de ver todos los usuarios que están protestando por el mismo fallo. Hace tres años tomé la decisión de comprar un MacBook dado que me aconsejaron que sería mejor para el tratamiento de imágenes y video.
Les agradecería que me den una solución y no la simple de llevarlo al SAT y pagar.
Como marca de prestigio deberían cambiar gratuitamente la placa en el SAT tal y como han hecho con los iMac de 27"

Buenas yo también he sufrido este problema,
En mi caso se trata de un MacBook Pro de finales de 2011. Hace cosa de un par de semanas la tarjeta gráfica fallo porque sí, sin más. Reservé tiempo en la genius bar y como a muchos de vosotros me ofrecieron el reemplazo de la placa base por el "módico precio" de 519 euros.
Hoy he estado en una tienda apple con la intención de poner una reclamación oficial a la marca, y lo que me ofrecían era la típica hoja de reclamaciones, la persona con la que he hablado me ha comentado que la forma de hacer llegar la queja a la compañía es a través de la página web en la sección feedback.

Os animo a que dejéis constancia del problema de forma oficial, está muy bien escribir en el foro pero no es suficiente. No os olvidéis de poner la referencia del modelo, número de serie y se habéis solicitado soporte técnico en la genius bar, el número de referencia de la solicitud de soporte.

Validating a server's certificate

I am writing an app that does an https post of a request and gets a result returned. The company that I am interacting with has a certificate from verisign. I know nothing about certificates! I need to validate their certificate in code as I do this transaction. I need to validate that their cert is current, check the authority and the url. Anyone have an example of this type of action? Do I do this right before the post or does this happen during the post? Sorry I am such a newbie!

I've a similar problem. I need validate a client certificate against my server. I'm researching in this field and I've learning some things. You need have one keystore, this is the place where the certificates are stored. In this keystore you need have the CA root certificates (Certificate Authory or similar), so to speak, the trusted certificates (verisign, thawte, etc). Your application trust by default in this entities. You can add more entities when you want, only you need the CA root certificates to import them. Afterwards, you need validate a client certificate against this keystore, so the client cert must have a sign from a CA inside it. Then we're going to validate the cert asking to the keystore if the client cert exists inside it, first look for the same CA root that the client cert have and if this CA root exists then we will look for final client cert, and if this certificate exists then the process will be ok.
This is the process more or less, I'm sorry if I can't explain me better, so you can read more of this in the java tutorial or the JSSE tutorial, or JCE tutorial.
If you have installed J2SE in your machine, you will see the keystore in C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user>\.keystore
