Enable auto connection with Access Connections?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make my T61 connect to my mobile broadband internet connection automatically when coming out of sleep and/or hibernate? Can it be done through Access Connections? I'm running the latest AC on Vista 64.

You can set Access Connections to connect to your WAN if none of the other wireless profiles are available.
Open Access Connections and in the upper right, switch from Basic to Advanced.
Go to the Tools tab and click on  Location Switching.
The bottom check box can be set "When no other connections are available, connect through WAN or WiMax"
Set that and click Ok.

  • Prevent Agents from disabling Headset Button hen using Auto Answer With Headset

    Help!!!
    When you enable "Auto Answer with Headset" an agent can still press the Headset button and break that function.  Is there a way to keep the agent from being able to disable the Headset button on the phone (Cisco IP Phone 7962g) while maintaining the ability to force Auto Answer with Headset??
    Thanks for any ideas!

    Hi,
    It sounds more like training or organizational issue. If agents do it accidentally, usually this behavior disappeas in a couple of days (if agents were using other phones). And if they do it on-purpose, then supervisors should take care for this issue.
    Technically this issue may be resolved by placing some kind of plastic cap over the headset button, but then you should have a mechanism to activate a headset button, if it was deactivated (for excample, afther the phone reboots).
    Alternatively you may use longer cord and place the phone out of reach (not exactly "far-far away", but at least out of the hand reach. Plus, depending on the CallCenter software you use, agent may never need touch a phone, in most cases all interaction happens on the PC.
    Good luck,

  • VPN auto connect leads problem when accessing the private url in my app through HttpClient

    Hi,
    I have app to execute my WCF service through HttpClient(). I configured my SSL VPN in sonicwall mobile connect with auto connect option. So when accessing my internal WCF service, Wp 8.1 asks the VPN connection screen. If I follow the screen, VPN
    has connected and return to my App. But here I received "An error has ocurred. While sending request to server" in Wp 8.1 screen. Even if I debug through visual studio I couldn't catch or track the actual error in code. Below the code I am using
    for your reference. Kindly help me in this regard.
    try
    HttpClientHandler handler = new HttpClientHandler(); ;
    handler.AllowAutoRedirect = false;
    HttpClient httpClient = new HttpClient(handler);
    httpClient.MaxResponseContentBufferSize = 256000;
    HttpResponseMessage response = await httpClient.GetAsync("http://172.0.0.11/xxxxx/Service1.svc/xxxxCheck/" + usr.username + "/" + App.DeviceId + "/" + usr.password);
    response.EnsureSuccessStatusCode();
    string content = await response.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
    List<EmcUserResult> userres = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject<List<EmcUserResult>>(content);
    if (userres.FirstOrDefault().Allowed == "TRUE")
    NavigationService.Navigate(new Uri("/MainPage.xaml", UriKind.Relative)); // call MainPage
    else
    MessageBox.Show("This User was blocked. Contact admin.");
    catch (Exception ex)
    MessageBox.Show(ex.Message);

    I recommend that you check the network traffic by using either Wireshark or Fiddler to see what's going on with the request.

  • I have problem with Access Connections on L412 after that utilyty upgrade

    I have problem with Access Connections on L412 after that utilyty upgrade in early August. Windows 7 Ultimate/x64.
    It stops connecting to WPA2 Enterprise (AES-CCMP), Microsoft PEAP, no server cert, with any credentials I try to use. The same account(s) works with native Intel manager on other notebooks and on mobile devices. I lost the wireless connectivity to enterprise WiFi network.
    And, after deinstallation of Access Connections, the inability to connect keeped intact with native Win7 WiFi management.
    I think, something was broken in Access Connections 5.83 Build 83C753WW and some registry settings/ dll modules were altered but not returned to normal after deinstall.

    Access Connections is definitely broken for WPA encryption.  Both versions 5.02 and 5.84 fail for me.  If I use the Windows XP wireless configuration instead of Access Connections, everything works.
    Does anyone know how to report this to Lenovo?  I chased links around the web site but couldn't find a place.

  • How to fix problems with WIFI iOS 6. ,,, i.e. No auto connect.

    All i am having various issues.
    1- Wifi wont work properly with OS6.
    Examples: facebook wont update notifications while in wifi, but is does in 3G.
    Other example: uploading pictures runtime error.
    2- Wifi wont Autoconnect. It was auto connecting until I reseted the network settings.
    Not sure why now all the sudden does not auto connect.

    scott;
    Your problem may have to do with the age of your router. My old router does have the same problem.
    It could also be the router settings, or the firmware version. Make sure you update the firmware. In other cases downgrading the firmware also may work. Apple is been updating wifi protocols to new standards, causing old routers to be not as good. (Specially with the iOS 6).
    To fix the auto connect;
    1- delete all networks
    2- turn on "ask to join networks"
    3- turn off 3G to force Safari to ask to join a network.
    4- open Safari
    5- accept to connect to wifi and enter password
    6- you are done, and it will always auto connect
    If you go straight to networks and connect to wifi that way next time you turn off and back on the wifi it wont auto connect. You need to follow instructions above.

  • Connect Dev6i  with Access

    How can i connect Dev6i with Access
    how the insert,update delete will be?
    thank you in advance

    The Forms user manual and Help give all the details you need to figure out how to connect to a non-Oracle data source and how to handle the DML. Essentially, you have to code the INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETEs yourself in the "Advanced Database" properties section. To be honest, I don't know anyone who has done this with Oracle Forms and I've never heard of anyone doing this - so you are probably going to have to figure this out on your own. :-(
    Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful!

  • Connecting with Access

    Hi, I trying to connect with a db created with Access, let say "Datab.mdb".
    I used the following script:
    try{
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver"); //which seams to work fine
    }catch(Exception e){
    System.out.println(e);
    return;
    try{
    conn= DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:Datab","","");
    statem = conn.createStatement();
    }catch(Exception e){
    System.out.println(e); //it enters to the exception!!
    return;
    The message is that it doesn't find the database, I tried to put the file "Datab.mdb" almost everywhere, but it still doesn't find it, I also tried
    conn= DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:Datab.mdb","","");
    but still no success.
    Please, can anyone help me.
    Thanks

  • Can't Connect with Access 2013

    Hi, there!
    Am reworking a successful Access 2003 VBA project into Access 2013 VBA, which I am brand new to.  I have encountered a problem with Access 2013 when attempting to connect to a table in order to create a recordset.  The Access 2003 connection
    string does not work in Access 2013. To confirm this, I dug out an old Access 2003 VBA beginner's manual and typed a sample program directly from the textbook.  The sample code fails to successfully open a connection in Access
    2013 but, when I then copy and paste the program into Access 2003, it works fine.
    Online documentation useful for rudimentary programming activities being as scant as ever, am deeply appreciative of any real-time help rendered.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Thanks for responding, Bruce.
    The table I'm connecting to is local to the current database project.  It's all standalone.  In other words, I launch Access 2013, I create a table, then I connect to the table. Really pretty straightforward stuff.
    Here's the code template I use to do it in Access 2003:
    Dim cnMyConnection As ADODB.Connection
    Dim rsMyRecordset As ADODB.Recordset
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Set cnMyConnection = CurrentProject.AccessConnection
    Set rsMyRecordset = New ADODB.Recordset
        With rsMyRecordset
            .ActiveConnection = cnMyConnection
            .CursorType = adOpenForwardOnly
            .LockType = adLockReadOnly
            .CursorLocation = adUseClient
            .Open "tblMyTable"
        End With
    etc.
    This works in Access 2003.  The recordset is created and then things can move forward.  But Access 2013 has all kinds of problems with it, beginning with improper use of the keyword "New."  It seems to demand a whole new syntax.
    Thanks for any insight you can provide, Bruce!
  • Error when enabling the connection group with office 2013 and a plugIn
    Hi,
    I've created the office 2013 proplusVolume with ODT, published it globaly, Sequenced the plugin, with only the office 2013 as a published app-v package on the system, made the connection group with correct xml, but when I enable the connection group, I got
    the error:
    The connection group {xxx} version {xxx} could not be published because the
    virtual COM settings of the individual packages conflict.
    Verify that the virtual COM settings are the same for all member packages and try again.
    The COM settings are made the same as the office package on the plugin package, but I still have the same error.
    The Deployment-, and user-XML have this values (as it was for the office originally):
      <COM Mode=”Integrated”>
            <IntegratedCOMAttributes
    OutOfProcessEnabled=”true” InProcessEnabled=”true” />
    <Objects Enabled=”false” />
    Why do I get this error?
    Why is it merly impossible to track down the realy error?
    What can i do to make this connection group work?
    Right now the catalog is pulling from the AppXManifests inside the AppV Packages. You can see these settings by renaming the AppV file to .ZIP and browsing those files (READ ONLY) to see the default COM settings. Simply changing the Deployment Config files
    is not enough. You will need to make sure the information is dynamically applied at publishing by specifying the -DynamicDeploymentConfiguration option when adding the package using the Add-AppvClientPackage cmdlet. You do not need to worry about the UserConfig
    file.
    If you are doing this in band with the management system, you would import this configuration in under Advanced Configuration for the package.
  • Any way to NOT auto connect with wifi?
    I connected to a WiFi that was near me. Turned out to be a Jack-In-The-Box wifi which requires you to be in the restaurant looking at their tv screen for a code to type in.. well, anyways its really annoying now when trying to get online and it hooks up to that signal!
    Anyway to make it not AUTO connect to ONLY that WiFi signal?
    When connected to the network tap on Settings/WiFi, then the arrow to the right of the network name, then "Forget this network"
  • How to disable Bluetooth Auto-Connect
    Hello Everybody
    I have a JBL Micro-Wireless Bluetooth enabled speaker.
    My Laptop model is Lenovo Thinkpad X220 running Windows 7.
    My laptop has Broadcom Bluetooth stack.
    Now, the problem is, whenever i turn on the speaker, my laptop connects to it immediately.
    But, It just shows as connected with JBL Micro-Wireless in Bluetooth Device Control
    The Bluetooth Hands free audio in Available Playback Devices be kept disconnected and i won't be able to connect to it.
    I won't be able to also disconnect the Bluetooth speaker in Bluetooth Device Control.
    I found that, Either if i disable the Thinkpad Bluetooth 3.0 device in device manager and enable it back or Uptick and Tick Audo Sink service in JBL Micro-Wireless properties dialog box in Sound, i can connect to the speaker manually and it starts working
    just fine and i can disconnect the speaker also any number times.
    You can blame the Broadcom Bluetooth Drive Stack for this issue, but i have tried using the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack too.
    You can now blame my JBL Micro-Wireless speakers for this issue, but, i don't have any problems with any other audio source.
    So, you have to give solution to disable Auto-Connect for my Bluetooth Speaker from my Laptop.
    My Bluetooth speaker don't have any interface to disable auto-connect.
    I have tried stopping both the Bluetooth Services in Windows Services to disable Auto-Connection, but it didn't help.
    Hi,
    Untill now, there is no effective method in Windows to disable Bluetooth device connect automaticlly. Here is another workaround method maybe helpful.
    That's using net stop/start service command to disable Bluetooth service.
    Firstly, you can access Services by typing services.msc
    command in RUN. Then choose Bluetooth service and change its startup type to
    Manual.
    Next time when you need using Bluetooth, just run net start bthserv in Command Prompt with administrator.
    The bluetooth should be work normally.
    When you didn't want to use it, just run net stop bthserv command to stop it.
  • No auto-connect on start-up or restart (iMac)
    Just an update on my problem. I too had problems with auto-connect to my network router after sleep, due to download of update 10.7.3. Worked with Apple Tech Support and local Apple Store to resolve problem - Tech Support representative and FAQ contributors alerted me to the availability of latest WIFI Update, which I downloaded and installed. Update DID resolve auto-connect problem for my system's "awake-from-sleep" mode, BUT it then began a SPORADIC no-connect problem upon startup and restart. I've reported this problem to the Tech Support representative, and she said she would alert the appropriate system teams of this problem.
    I'm no software expert, but I believe the problem may be tied, in some way, to that part of the OS that triggers not only network card drivers, but also Bluetooth connectivity, clock activation, and any other sub-system icon displayed in the upper-right corner of the desktop. While I can manually connect to the network, and have the connection work without dropping, it will NOT connect automatically - sometimes - upon startup and restart. It WILL work automatically upon awaking from sleep. It tries to find the network signal during startup/restart, but doesn't always connect.
    I'm thinking that if it was the drivers, themselves, for the network card that were, in some way, corrupt or incorrect, the system wouldn't connect at all ... (???)
    Anyway, it's working a little better - but it's still not fully-operable; and I'm still looking for a permanent fix from Apple. I have a feeling that one of the reasons why Apple is bringing-out Mountain Lion so soon after Lion's advent is to possibly resolve some of the problems and "quirks" folks are having with Lion. I know I've experienced other little problems since upgrading to Lion that I'm simply living with, knowing that sooner or later, a fix will be forthcoming - either by patch, update, or a new OS ...
    - Chris
    Some additional input - Just received a call from "John", Apple Tech Support, asking me to do two things in an attempt to resolve my connectivity issues.
    (1) Upon start-up, wait a minute or two to see if the network finally locks-in automatically, vice manually selecting the network connection. There may be some "priorities" being addressed via the OS wrt/ Bluetooth connections for the keyboard and mouse, that may prevent a faster lock-on by the network components. He says this sometimes manifests itself upon start-up and occasionally on restarts for some systems. It may be that, for some system configurations, Bluetooth components experience some minor interference from telephone systems or routers placed adjacent to these component locations - and since these components have "priority", system-wise, it may further delay network connectivity as well.
    (2) Drag-out an old USB keyboard (and mouse), disable your Bluetooth access, and use them in place of the wireless keyboard and mouse to see if it results in a more-positive result for network connectivity upon start-up and restart.
    Naturally, I'll give it a try, and see how it works. Told John I'd let him and Josie (another Apple Tech Support representative) know how it's working in a couple of weeks.
    Really appreciated his call - very nice of him to follow-up. I'll let you-all know how it works ...
