TREX Search Cache you mean here will be not used in BIA. It may not be enabled.

I hope u had gone to the screen fields which u want them not to be editable. So there u select all the fields contents which u do not want to to be changed and check the boxes with W.content and Display and save it. Once evrything is done u have to activate the particular transcation going in to the standard variants and put the name and click the activate button.

On the Temporary Internet Files page, select Keep temporary files on my computer.

On the Advanced page, expand JRE Auto-Download.
Click Prompt User.

In my use case I should use cache on my business service which uses Http as its transport protocol.
when I try to use the cache on http business service I am unable to use the cache functionality.
When I try to use the cache on JCA business service I am able to use it. Please help me in finding the
ways in which I can enable cache functionality on the business service which uses the other protocols.

Caching in Business Service should work fine on HTTP transport as well. What all configurations have you done in your HTTP business service and how are you testing it?

1. Do you want to enable caching at the application level by defining 'WebLogic cache filter' in in WEB-INF/web.xml ?
2. Do you want to enable compression for the html pages inside the JSP code to improve the run time performance. If so, you need to enable the attribute <compress-html-template> to true in webloigic,xml file of the application.

First, define the site. Go to Site > Manage Sites. Enter the Local site folder where you want to keep your files.
Under servers, add the FTP log-in details for your remote site as provided to you by your web host.
Root directory is where your hosting provider told you to upload the publicly accessible files. Commonly used root folders include public_html, www or htdocs but this varies by host. If unsure, contact your hosting provider for details.
When you're done defining your site, hit TEST to verify connection and then SAVE your settings.
In the DW Files Panel (F8) click on Remote Server and hit the green Down Arrow to GET files from remote site to your local site folder.

HTTP Headers - enabling caching and compression with the portal?

Has anyone configured their web server (IIS or Apache) or use a commercial product to flawlessly cache and compress all content generated by the portal?
Compression and caching is critical for making our portal based applictions work for overseas users. It should be doable, just taking advantage of standard HTTP protocols, but implementing this a complex system like the portal is tricky, we seem to be generating different values in the HTTP Headers for the same types of files (such as CSS).
We are running Apache so can't take advantage of the built in compression capabilities of the .net portal. We are running the java vervion. 6.1 mp1, sql server 2000 (portal, search, collab, publisher, studio, analytics, custom .net and java portlets on remote server).
Basically our strategy is to compress all outgoing static and dynamic text content (html, CSS, javascript), and to cache all static files (CSS, javascript, images) for 6 months to a year depending on file type.

Does Weblogic platform 8.1 supports netscape? We have developed a portal which
works perfectly on IE but it dies in netscape. Is netUI tags not supported in
Netscape?

I annoct empty my cache even using tools and tried Norton, need it for farmville, running really slow for over a week.

I ave tried to uninstall twice and the second time removed everything and started over completely, went right to Farmville with same results, then went to tools to see if it would empty and would not. Is there any way to manually empty the cache, was really impressed with Firefox when I started using it, this is the only problem, unfortunately for me a big one.

Can't enable Remote Server Administration Tools

I have seen many people around the net having what seems to be this issue, but there are a few nuances that differ in my particular situation.
I have 2 'Windows 7 Sp1' machines on an AD domain. Functional level is 2003.
I downloaded and installed "Windows6.1-KB958830-x64-RefreshPkg.msu" on both PCs and the installation seemed to finish without errors, but when I go to enable the features it throws the error: "An error occurred, not all the features were successfully
changed."
I came across a solution that claimed I needed to reinstall the KB, I did so to no avail. I thought perhaps my download might be corrupt, so on the 2nd machine I downloaded directly to that PC, but got the same behavior.
I doubt that it is Group Policy related, because other machines (although they're XP) are in the same OUs as these machines and can run the admin tools. <Users are members of a Help Desk & frequently reset certain users' passwords.>
I'm not sure what to do next, especially since both of these computers are acting the same way.

Please go to event log to check more information about this operation, you could find something under Windows Logs---Setup log.
According to your description, I suspect there would be some common issue existed in your both Windows 7 computers. Just boot into clean boot mode to check if you can turn on Remote Server Administration Tools components. This will avoid the software conflicts
during configuration.

Enabling cache in Tiger?

Hi. I'm running a Beige G3 with an OWC G4/500 upgrade card inside. Just upgraded from Panther 10.3.9 to Tiger 10.4.0 and then 10.4.11 without a hitch, all Software Updates installed easily.
But, I can't seem to figure out a way to enable the backside L2 cache on my G4's CPU like I could in Panther, which is... a problem.
Now obviously, this isn't a problem for most of you, since you don't use G3 or G4 upgrade cards... but presumably some of you do.
Anyway, does anyone know how to get it to work? Normally I post on the Beige G3 forum, but it's pretty much dead lately... very little activity.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for the links. I've decided to just dial it back to 10.4.9 until PowerLogix can get their software compatible with 10.4.11. which they've delayed until Apple releases the Source Code for 10.4.11 (10.0 through 10.4.10 is out, including 10.5.0... no 10.4.11...).
It's a basically generic G4 ZIF.. OWC took the liberty of branding their name on it and calling it a 533 MHz ZIF (it's actually marked as 450, and only runs stably in OS X at 500, though it hits 533 easily enough in 9).
Articles were interesting, though no insight into the Beige and 10.4.10 or later; voltage mods for G3s and G4s I'd never heard of, though.
