Enable Commenting & Measuring in not working

I am having pdf Dynamic XML Form(Interactive form). and trying to Enable Reader Extended Features.
I just go through the File --> Save As --> Reader Extended Features --> Enable Commenting & Measuring
But Option is not working. It is Clickable but nothting it prompts.
The same option is working in Old version of same form which is also Dynamic Xml Form(Interactive form).
Please Help.

Yes , i found the reason, the difference only is Old version is static pdf form and i also found that a no. of event are not working in this due to static functionality, which are passing very fine in Dynamic form.
But question is still there.Is Dynamic form(Xfa based) does not show Commenting & Measuring functionality???

Enable Commenting for Reader not working

I create a PDF file in Acrobat 8.1 and select Enable Commenting in Reader. However, the users open the file in Reader 9 and it doesn't work. I've been able to replicate this. And no matter what I do - save the file with a different name, in a different location, whatever - it never enables commenting. However, if I check the Security for the file in Reader it says commenting is allowed. I'm at my rope's end. This is how my users provide feedback so it's a really important feature for us.
Anyone know why this is happening? This was not an issue up until recently and nothing has changed (no upgrades or anything).

Thanks for getting back. I am uploading a sample of PDF in which I enabled commenting but when I open it in Reader the commenting toolbar is not displayed but when you go to properties it says commenting is allowed. I also checked to make sure the files were not be saved as archive files (it is set to never save files as archives).
I am also uploading screenshots of the process I follow to enable comments and of the Reader properties dialog that shows commenting is allowed.

File Save As Other Reader Extended PDF Enable Commenting & Measuring GRAYED OUT

I have an PDF form created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 10.0.
When I open in Reader, All the "Sign" options are grayed out.
Under "Properties" Signing is allowed but Commenting is not.
From all I have seen, I hope that allowing Commenting will allow me to use the sign features.
The only solution I'm finding on the internet is below:
File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Commenting & Measuring
It is grayed out in my (latest version of) Acrobat pro.
**Is there a way to make this option available?**
**Will this even solve my problem?**
**Is it possible that it is impossible to use these features on this document?**
At this point, I've spent about two and a half hours on this issue and haven't been able to find a solution. Very frustrated.

Thanks. I'm not an IT person and needed that lead.
In the end, I just printed to Adobe PDF and then was able to use the commenting options (once I had flattened it). For those who might come across this - this is one of the only ways to flatten a XFA PDF.

What does the "measuring" refer to in File | Save As Other | Reader Extended PDF | Enable Commenting & Measuring in Acrobat 11? (BTW, it was Comments | Enable for Commenting
and Analysis in Adobe Reader in Acrobat 9. The path was similar to 11 in version 10, but not identical.) I add this for others who are trying to find what new path to follow in 11. I had to go to Google to find it, and that was for 10. Thanks adobe.com support.

The navigation path you mentioned ( File | Save As Other | Reader Extended PDF | Enable Commenting & Measuring in Acrobat 11) enables the Commenting and Measuring features for Users who are using Adobe Reader instead of Acrobat.

Enable/Disable Library Filters not working properly

I am running LR 3.4.1 on OS X 10.6.8. The Library>Enable Filters command does not work properly when I have a Library Filter set up to filter on more than on criterion. For example, I have a Library Filter preset called "Needs Location Keywords" that selects all images for which don't have "Location" as one of their keywords and which are not flagged as Rejected. In other words, there are two filter criteria applied: 1) TEXT: Keywords "Don't Contain" "Location"
2) ATTRIBUTE: Flag = Flagged OR Flag = Unflagged Toggling the Filter State by choosing Library>Enable Filters works as desired when the Filter State is changed to OFF; all images in the selected folder are displayed. However, when Library>Enable Filters is selected a second time, changing the Filter State back to ON, only one of the original filter criteria is applied, namely: 1) TEXT: Keywords "Don't Contain" "Location" However, ATTRIBUTE Filtering is NOT re-enabled as one would expect.
This is repeatable with different filter settings and different folders.
Is this behavior unique to my system or are other seeing the same thing?

It is a known problem, but certainly not widely-known. The filter columns don't work properly on custom fields when the field is text and when the entered value consists of more than one word. IIRC they work if the possible values are listed in the plug-in's field definition, or with "enum" fields.
Smart collections do work as expected with text custom fields.

Intermittent problem- send or comment buttons will not work- Reboot only sometimes fixes- does not happen in IE

Recently I have found that when in FB- the 'send' or 'comment' buttons do NOT work. I have also just found that the X along side a post - to get the dropdown to hide, etc- does not work either.
I have logged of and back on. I have closed firefox and restarted. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc. and then restarted firefox. Nothing works. It seems like this happened a few times and when I came back to the computer after several hours, it was ok. Most of the time I have to reboot.
While this is happening, some other functions work fine. For instance, if I click on HOME or PROFILE it works. Only seems to be the 'buttons'.
What's making me really crazy is that it is intermittent! And when it happens, if I open IE (ugh) it works fine.
Only fixes found at FB are to clear cache, cookies, etc. which I have already stated do nothing at all. Any ideas?

There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit

Commenting in Reader Not Working

I am using Pro 9 and have enabled commenting for Reader users. My collaboration is file based (stored on local server with full access rights). I have two problems.
1) Comments made by others are not visible in pure Reader users. I can see the comments in Pro and all are published, but anyone who has only Reader installed can't view the comments (regardless of which options I set). However, people who have Acrobat installed can view comments in Reader or Acrobat.
2) Reader users do not have the option to publish comments they make to the shared review file. The menu item is there, but grayed out. The Reader-only people can save their comments and send them back manually, but they can't publish their comments directly to the shared file.
Can anyone explain there anomalies? All of the Adobe instructions imply that Reader users should be able to fully participate in the file based reviews, but it doesn't seem to work. Thanks for your help.

The file contains an overprint Varnish plate.
I applied the enable commenting, but need to remove and it crashes once I use Save a Copy

MEASURE "QTD" not working

Dear All,
Our Company has installed BPC ver-7 from last 2 years.It seems that the Measure "QTD" for the balance sheet items are not working.Can anyone help me out on the matter.It seems all the figures viz.- for YTD,QTD & monthly data gives me a same figure only.so i cant make out
Is there was a fault @ the time of implementation or what??

Can you be more specific perhaps with an example.
For example looking only at Cash Balance on Jan, Feb, and Mar and assuming the Accttype property is AST....
If data has been loaded for 100 Jan and 20 for Feb then on a report you must include both time and the measure.
The expected results would be as follows:
Time,Measure
Jan, periodic   100
Jan, QTD         100
Jan, YTD         100
Feb, periodic   120
Feb, QTD         120
Feb, YTD         120
Mar, periodic   0
Mar, QTD         0
Mar, YTD         0
The Mar results are somewhat annoying especially on a report that has the whole year or is quarterly only. The reason March is zero is because no data has been loaded so the QTD,YTD formulas for any AST or LEQ type is take the balance of the last period.
Now if someone has been changing the formula there is a transaction code to go and correct it.

Frequency distribution on ceiling(measure/100) not working always sums

I'm trying to create a frequency distribution on a measure total time in secs in usage tracking and I can't seem to get the measure to not sum.
I've tried:
case (ceiling(measure/1000) as char(5))
setting the "Treat as an attribute column" in the column formula
setting aggregation rule to "None" in the column formula
Any suggestions would be appreciated

in 11G I have found that for this to work the column you are using cannot have an aggregate rule in the rpd.

Hi! I am having a problem with websites that has dropdown menus. One website in particular is elegantthemes.com
There is a feature there that when downloading a theme, a pop-up will appear and it will let you choose which to download.
I doesn't appear in my MAC. I have used chrome, safari, firefox, still it is not working
However, when I log on to my Windows via Bootcamp. It works perfectly fine.

Hot corners enabling screen saver/ ss not working; restart they're working

Hi, for no discernable reason, my hot corners which are set to start secreen saver were not working; neither it seemed was my screen saver turning on. My computer seemed simply to be going to sleep from the screen image of the desktop without benefit of having gone through the screen saver cycle first. I ran disk utility and verified permissions. Then I did the old pc trick of rebooting the computer. That seemed to have done it. My hot corners are working the way they were set up to function. Por Que? Why is my PB G4 behaving like a PC?

Had the same problem and here's what worked for me:
Navigate to System Preferences/Desktop & Screen Saver/ and click the Hot Corners button.
I generally set the bottom left corner to Start Screen Saver, with all of the other corners set to minus. I temporarily set the top left corner to Disable Screen Saver, and after moving the mouse pointer into that corner, I was then able to use my bottom left corner again to start my screen saver.
I put the top left corner back to minus.
Simple enough and good luck!
