Enable configuration mode in UI

HI All,
Could anyone suggest what authorizations are required to enable the configuration mode in the Personalization settings for the users.
Instead of using the ta code crm_bsp_cmpwb i would prefer configuring the application in the WebUi itself.

The user needs to be assigned to the authorization object CRMCONFMOD, and you must have activated the UI configuration mode on the central personalization page.

'Enable configuration mode' not visible in Personalized settings.

I wanted to switch on the configuarion mode so that I could enter the AET and suchlike from within the application. However, this option is not being displayed when I look at Personalized settings. I'm currently logged in as a Sales employee, and of course that might explain why. I have a login to CRM, but I seem to have no profile assigned to it yet so get a error when entering the UI using the WAS.
How do I assign a profile to myself (which transaction), and what profile should be used for development use, and which also allows me to enable configuration mode?.

Hi.
In the business role definition you have assigned a authorization profile.
When you access CRM web client, system verifies the business roles you are assigned in PPOMA_CRM or via parameter in SU01.
Besides this the authorizations are verified, so here the authorization profiles from your user in SU01 are verified and the tool is displayed according to your authorization profile.

Steps to enable FIPS mode

I have been looking around for a good SUN documentation on enabling java in fips mode.
The below link is not satisfactory to get going and enable fips mode.

2. The doc mentions two options to configure the provider
Where will JSSE look for the configured provider.I believe it is jre/lib/ext but the vendor will tell you.

How to test my application for FIPS complianceWell you could try to do any of the things described in the document you derided, such as enabling SSLv3 or a non-compliant protocol, and ensure that exceptions are thrown. However it is up to the vendor to provide you with a compliance certificate - this isn't something you need to test.

You need to configure the AS10g Control with R12 by following the steps in this document (not enabled by default).

I have enabled "standalone" mode in the CICM utility and now cant connect to KVM

Hello. I am VERY new to the UCS environment, and while trying to configure RAID on one of my servers (a racked c240, managed through UCS), I enabled "standalone" mode while kvm'd into the server I was working on. And of course, I can now no longer access the server. Is there some way in which I can undo this via the UCS Manager console, or would a keyboard and monitor need to be physically connected? The server is in another state.
The UCS Manager does seem to be aware of the server still, but the "overall state" shows as "inaccessible." Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have never seen that! The server is marked as inaccessible cause you need to set it to factory defaults... attach the monitor and keyboard and try to move it back, but I am not sure that is possible (again, I have never seen this before)... you might need to remove the cables going to the fabric Interconnects and then reboot> F8 > Factory default and cable it again.
Let me know what you see... I am interested in confirming what other issue you may face now, hopefully none :)

Hi Michael,
You can set the thresholds via an import file. The easiest way to do this (and this goes for all importable data, webapps included, 301 redirects and so on) is this:
1. go into the Admin and create a single item, in you case create a test product and set the thresholds
2. export that data - in your case export the product list
3. take a look at how the data looks like in the export file so you can get an idea of how the format should be like in the import file
Unfortunately you cannot set more than 2 thresholds, that is not possible at the moment.

All tips and tricks state that an Option to Enable Disc Mode should be visible, but I am not seeing that. And other tips / tricks to push power / home buttons on ipod to enter diagnostic mode / disc mode (?) are only putting me in Recovery Mode.
Please advise on How to put ipod 3g touch into Disc Mode.

How to not allow users to check or uncheck Enable Protected Mode

I know how to change the HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown\bProtectedMode to '1' to set the 'Enable Protected Mode at startup', but how do you disable to checkbox altogether so that users cannot change it?

unfortunately this is a product limitation that u cannot bridge this router....at the most what u can do is , assign an ip address to the wrt54g3g which is in the range of the server....and disable the wireless router's dhcp..

Error in enabler configuration:1003

Hi,
I have deployed a java application on Sun Application Server 7. I have registered it as an Partner Application in Portal(ver 10g-904).
The application logs in to OID.
When I click on login it throws error:
javax.servlet.ServletException: oracle.security.sso.enabler.SSOConfigException: Error in enabler configuration: 1003
at org.apache.jasper.runtime.PageContextImpl.handlePageException(PageContextImpl.java:471)
But after that if I refresh the page,it takes me to the correct page.
The same application deployed on websphere is working fine.
If any one can suggest what the problem can be, that will be great.

I have macbook pro retina 15. And i update my photoshop to 13.1 But when i open document in 100% zoom all so little and in 200% all so blurry. How i can enable retina mode in new photoshop or i want to draw all layouts x2? Thank you!

And now i will create templates with x2 resolution (x2 zoom will in none retina displays) and for another people (who will write html code after my template) templates will be very big and uncomfortably for use.
And another problem is support my current projects, wich i strat on non retina display, know i can draw on 100% zoom and so small or on 200% zoom and so blur )
Please say man, this is big problems?) I thought that adobe will create non-retina emulation in this version...

How to enable "persistent mode" in Windows failover cluster manager 2012?

In Windows Server 2008 R2 there was a checkbox named "Enable persistent mode" on a General tab in the Properties of a cluster resource.
In Windows Server 2012 that seems to have disappeared.
My cluster resource is a "generic script" resource (not that it makes any difference).
How do I enable "persistent mode" for a cluster resource in Windows Server 2012?

Enabled by default for VM groups Option is hidden from GUI in 2012, you can use the specify the preferred owner of group to realize the same function, positively not come online
on a node that is not a possible owner. If no possible owner nodes are up, then the group will still failover to a node that’s not a possible owner, but it will not come online.

I am a software dev and I wish to have my application open links in Firefox.
Using ShellExecute(), i can do with with commandlines like:
firefox.exe http://support.mozilla.org
But I also want the option to open the link in private mode.
I am able to start firefox in private mode by doing this:
firefox.exe -private
However, if I add a link to the command line
firefox.exe -private http://support.mozilla.org
I get strange results.
If firefox is not running, it launches 2 copies of the application.
One that opens in private mode and the other opens in normal mode and goes to the URL specified.
If firefox is already running, it just opens the URL in a new tab.
No private mode instance is launched.
Am I using the command-line syntax incorrectly?

It will never work if Firefox is already running as Firefox will use the already opened Firefox instance. 
In that case only using a separate profile will work.
You can try to specify the -url switch as well.
*firefox.exe -private -url http://support.mozilla.org
You can also look at the -new-tab switch.
*firefox.exe -private -new-tab http://support.mozilla.org
*https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Command_Line_Options

When config failover link of ASA in Active Standby mode.
When we config failover int say gi0/1

failover lan int gi0/1
Need to confirm we do this from interface config mode only or we can do this from global config also ????????
Whe we assign IP to this int we do that from global config mode ????

Actually the ASA lets you insert a lot of command what ever mode you are under.
In the output you posted is a very important thing to notice
configure mode commands/options:
WORD Specify the interface name
As you can see, the output lists only one option and before that it mentions that this is a "configure mode" command
So even if you entered the command under the interface configuration mode, it would still be entered as a global/configure command mode.
Take the following thing for example
I want to check what configuration options I have with the command "failover"
So I enter the following to my ASA
ASA(config)# failover ?
configure mode commands/options:
interface              Configure the IP address to be used for failover and/or
                              stateful update information
interface-policy    Set the policy for failover due to interface failures
key                       Configure the failover shared secret or key
lan                       Specify the unit as primary or secondary or configure the
                               interface and vlan to be used for failover communication
mac                      Specify the virtual mac address for a dynamic interface
polltime                Configure failover poll interval
timeout                 Specify the failover reconnect timeout value for
                               asymmetrically routed sessions
exec mode commands/options:
active          Make this system to be the active unit of the failover pair
exec            Execute command on the designated unit
reload-standby Force standby unit to reboot
reset           Force a unit or failover group to an unfailed state
As you can see, the ASA tells us that there are different additional command parameters after the "failover" command that can be used. Some of them can be used either in Exec or Configuration mode.
