Enable Create Event/Subscription button in R12

hello experts,
I am trying to create a business event/subscription in R12 and I cannot find the "Create" button.
I tried using Workflow Administrator, Workflow Administrator Event Manager and Workflow Administrator Web Applications responsibilities. None of them has the "Create" button.
Is there some profile option I need to setup?

Hi,
You need to use the user / responsibility that is configured as the Workflow administrator.
From the Workflow Admin responsibility, open the Administration tab - this will show you who the administrator is. Then log in as either that user or a user with that responsibility and the button will be there.

Incorreect event-key in oracle.apps.inv.lotCreate Event subscription

Hi,
I have created event subscription as PL/SQL function for oracle.apps.inv.lotCreate Event.
In this PL/SQL function, i am calling "getEventKey" method on WF_EVENT_T object obtained.
However, value returned by this "getEventKey" method is incorrect. According to Oracle Inventory User Guide, event-key should be
Organization_id-Item_id-Lot_number. However i am getting some six digit number which is neither Organization_id nor Item_id nor Lot_number.
I am using Oracle E-Business suite Release 12.
Please let me know if anyone has faced similar problems? what was cause of such problem?

The test subscription is raising from the workflow administrator responsiibility but when I update the item attribute controls then the subscription is not raising and checked with the forms trace, there is no event is recorded in the trace. I am using 11.5.10 cu 2 version and suspecting still some setting might be missing for the inventory events.
I wrote the following code for my initial testing to test the event subscription raising on the item update.

How do you enable ‘Create Content’ button on ‘Add Content’ page?
There is new functionality to a ‘Layout’ type personalization page like ‘Sales Dashboard’.
Bug 4503123 INCONSISTENT WAY OF ADDING USER-DEFINED REGIONS ON WYSIWYG PAGE:
There’s no way to add custom content to a configurable page.
Add a “Create Content” button and let the user create a piece of content that extends to a region he creates.

Instead, you will see the Page Hierarchy Personalization page, page 4-12, where you can perform the same personalization functions, using a descriptive tabular user interface.
It tried this and can’t get it to display.

Can you describe your issue in detail forgetting those references for the time being. What exactly are you trying to do?

In order to be able to take full advantage of page layout personalization capabilities, it is important when you create your configurable page, to use flexibleLayout and flexibleContent regions at all levels when you create the page hierarchy structure under your page layout region. In Oracle Applications, this is required, as it is the coding standard.

I would like to create a subscription page for my Muse site with different subscription choices, but I am not sure if it is possible or, if it is how I should construct it. Any ideas?

This can be done from hosting platform end. If you are using Business Catalyst to host your site , then you can use events module, campaign subscriptions , secure zone subscriptions etc.
You can create the events/announcements on BC end and then add the module in Muse page which on publish will show the modules on page.

Is there any possibility to block emails of subscriptions we are about to create in 2008 (folder level) and enable back the emails once we are done creating the subscriptions

We are migrating our Reporting Server from 2005 to 2008 and we have around 3500 timed subscriptions which are scheduled daily/weekly/monthly.
It takes around 1 week to recreate all these subscriptions in 2008 reporting server as we are using C# Code (to get the new subscriptionID from 2008 for further use). In this 1 week the subscription emails will be duplicated as they are sent from both
2005 and 2008 (created) to end user but we can't disable the SMTP for the 2008 report server as there are other projects (separated at folder level) working on it.
The Question here is, "Is there any possibility to block emails of subscriptions we are about to create in 2008 (only to our folder) and enable back the emails once we are done migrating to 2008?".

Per my understanding that you are doing the migration from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2008 and now you are re-creating the 3500 subscriptions in the SSRS 2008, so you want to the new created subscription in SSRS 2008 will be pause and not execute at this time, right?
Generally, we have several method to pause the subscription processing, please reference to details information below:
When you created an subscription, an new Sql Server Agent job will be created too, so you can you can just uncheck the 'enabled' checkbox in the job properties as below to disable the execution of the job,you can also stop the SQL Server Agent Services
manually, all your subscriptions will stop running:

How to enable a disabled radio button????

Hi here is the problem i have, i have a number of radio buttons contained in a buton group, all the buttons bar the first one are disabled. The buttons are all drawn on a JPanel. What i want to be able to do is once the enabled button has been selected, I want to enable the next button in the gropu and also then disable the one that was previously enabled. Is there any way i can do this, below is the code i have for setting the group up, and trying the above probelm. Any help much appreciated Thanks.

Process Event method does have any signature parameters in it which allow us to disable/enable buttons.
We can handle this in Get data method.Get Data is always triggered after Process Event. So you can write that in Get Data instead.

Windows Event Subscription - Fails To Activate Subscription

When I try to create a subscription on a GUI server I receive this error:
"The client could not start a valid listener to receive subscription events based on the specified input settings."
When I use WECUTIL on Server Core, I get the following error:
"The subscription is saved successfully, but it can't be activated at this time. Use retry-subscription command to retry the subscription. If subscription is running, you can also use get-subscriptionruntimestatus command to get extended error status.
Error = 0x3ae8. The subscription fails to activate."

How to create a rollover button effect in Captivate 7?

Hi,
I recently upgraded from Captivate 6 to Captivate 7 and am curious to know how I can create a rollover state for a SmartShape button. Basically, let's say I have a SmartShape being used as a button. What I want is to have the button have a glow effect and a shadow effect each time the mouse is hovered over it. Is there an easier way than having two objects on the slide -- one as the normal state and one the mouse hoever image. What I'm thinking is that the mouse hovered state image will have it's 'Visible in Output' set as unchecked and I can use an Advanced Action to show the object on mouse hover. Perhaps I can have the mouse hovered state image as a rollover SmartShape too?
Nonetheless, this looks like too much work. If I have 10 clickables on the page for which I want rollover effects, I would need to have 10 additional objects with their rollover states -- just seems like too much, but perhaps that's the Captivate way. Or I am I missing the obvious?

Most people would say the easiest way to achieve what you are talking about would be to just create your own custom image button in a graphics editor and give the Over state image having the glow effect that you want.
If you decide to go that route, this tutorial describes the process of creating an image button:

Another possibility is that you can use the Infosemantics Event Handler widget to trigger an Apply Effect action and use the Glow filter as the effect.
However, this may require some tweaking since it's not that easy to time effects that are applied via an advanced action.
