Enable Guest Access to workflow notifications

Has anyone successfully enabled the Guest access to workflow notifications? I am following metalink note 277839.1 and it is not working. There are several other notes on metalink with the same instructions so I am not sure what i could be missing. I wonder it is possible to get this to work.

I am displaying attachments in the header level of a requisition notification. When I tried to open the attachment link from the email notification,it is asking for the apps login. Is there anyway to supress the login page as these attachments are stored in the same server.Please help me its bit urgent.

When you open the attachment from e-mail it will look for a valid application context. Enable Guest access to notifications as follows
1- Set the WF: GUEST Access to Notification profile option to "Enabled" at the site level.
(The default value for this profile option is "Disabled", which disables guest access.)
2- Create a function grant assigning the WF_GUEST_GRANTS function set to the Guest user.
a. Navigate to the Functional Administrator responsibility
b. Choose the Security tab
c. Click the Create Function Grant button to create a grant
d. Enter the name of the grant. I(WF Guest Access)
e. Enter today's date as the Effective Date
f. Select "Specific User" in the Grantee type field
g. Enter Guest as the Grantee
h. Click Next
i. Look for the "Workflow Guest User permission set" in the list of values.
The other criteria to find it is Search by Code = WF_GUEST_GRANTS
j. Click Next
k. Click Finish
l. Stop and restart Oracle HTTP Server
j.In Oracle Applications Manager, stop and restart the service

Guest Access

I have OS X Lion Server running on a Mac Mini. I just want to enable SIMPLE guest access to a share. This is for a home with Mac and Windows 7 PC's. I dont want user accounts, just using this Mac Mini (or trying to) as a simple file server/iTunes server.
I have created a share. I have enabled guest access. I have even given the entire drive/volume its on "Others" (or whatever it is) read/write permissions and reset the ACL's on the drive, with the share. Windows computers (Windows 7) prompt for a user name and password.
Why? I can login in with the admin account of the Mini server at Windows and get in....but I dont want to login.
Any help would be great!

No, need not have to buy any router. Just in order to show up the Guest Network you need to reinstall/reconfigure the whole router. Guest Access Query

Hi All,
Suppose we have 50 x WAN sites and we have 5 APs per site.
If we to enable Guest Access for all sites, does that mean we need license of 250 for the anchor controller?
What is the best recommendation for provisioning licenses for guest anchor?
I have gone through the 7.0 config guide but apart from wired guest info not much help there.
Any help is very much appreciated.

No. For guest anchoring you just need either a 4402-12 or 5508-12. Anything more is a waste. You see, the anchor doesn't manage any AP's just clients. The license are for ap count.

WLC 5500 guest access logging

Hello,
In the ISE documentation is states that under a Guest_Activity report you must have guest access logging enabled on the NAD in the ISE network. My question is where do I enable guest access logging in the WLC that is our NAD?

Try under snmp configuration. There you can choose what traps to send. You can choose to send traps for auth clients.

E4200 Bridge Mode + Guest Access?

Hi,
I'm trying to set up my E4200 in "Bridge Mode," but want to enable a few things in the wireless settings, such as:
a) choosing SSIDs and network keys,
b) enable Guest Access
I've been able to get things working without too much hassle:
* factory reset
* set wireless SSIDs and network keys
* enable guess access and set password
* turn on bridge mode
Everything is basically fine, except that when the device goes into bridge mode it seems that it shuts off *all* web UI. This kind of makes sense, but do I actually understand that correcty? (Or have I simply not found the right connection method?)
If so, it leads to a couple follow-on questions:
a) How do I disable Bridge Mode if I want to change any settings? (Is the answer just 'factory reset'?)
b) Can Guest Access mode work in Bridge Mode?
So far, I have not been successful in getting the device to display the login page for Guest Access. I'm not sure if that's a config problem with Guest Access or if that just doesn't work in Bridge Mode.
Any tips/advice appreciated.

It's not possible to use guest access in bridge mode. Guest access is only possible when the E4200 operates as router. In bridge mode any wireless network goes directly into the same LAN. Guest separation would not be possible.
Also don't disable the SSID broadcast.

What I'm saying is that it is possible and that I am doing just that on our LAN here at work.
You pegged me on the linksys devices not allowing higher subnets. Alas, I am used to using DD-WRT and Tomato for years now (where you can use any subnet mask) and took for granted that I have not seen a stock linksys GUI in a long time. However, in bridge mode on the E4200 you are able to set subnet masks as you wish...

E4200 guest access won't ask for pasword

Hi whenever i enable guest access, when connecting though any device it doesn't ask for password but allows access straight away. I've tried changing the password, but no luck. Any ideas?

yep... The guest network comes out as "Unsecured" but you need to obtain the Guest network password for you to be able to browse the internet.

Guest Access WRT610N

After some surfing on the internet it seems that the E3000 is the same hardware as the Wrt610N.
The feature I am missing on the WRT610N is guest access.
Would it be possible to have Cisco connect working on the WRT610N so that i can enable guest access??

You can try it if there's a download for it. I'm not quite sure if it will work. Anyway, you can uninstall cisco connect if it doesn't work.

2504 with new-architecture enabled breaks MAC auth for guest access

Hello,
We have (2) 2504 WLC running version 7.6.120. WLC1 is the local controller and WLC2 is an achor controller for guest-access. We need to incorporate a 3850 for use with the WLC2 anchor. The guest access is currently working with Mac-Auth and Mac-Auth-Fail to Web-Auth.
When converged access is enabled on the WLC1 and WLC2, the MAc-Auth no longer works. That is, the previously authenticated user is now redirected to the Web-Auth page. The local controller shows the user as authenticated but the Anchor controller shows the state as WEb-Auth-REQD.
Rolling back using "config mobility new-architecture disable" and rebooting resolves the issue.
Does anyone what changes from the old to the new that would break this mac-auth/web-auth configuration?

You should reach TAC for these sort of issues. Not many people deploying this CA setup yet & you may not get direct feedback immediately.

In the same workflow page there is a button "Reassign" option which can able to do this reassign, but its show a error like below
You may not "Reassign" notification "Workflow Notification Mailer Test in DEV01 - Successful!" because reassign has been disabled.It means reassign is successfully done, but the option is disabled,, is int,, can i enable that option,, ?

Actually we try to reassign test workflow mail from a user. this mail was sent by sysadmin. And our SCM Functional team trying to set up a reassign process of workflow mailer for their requirement. we tried to test this and reassign by user.

Displaying OAF Based Workflow notification outside E-Business suite

Hi All,
We have a requirement of displaying a Workflow notification (OA based) on a portal without login into Oracle Applications. I am wondering if this is possible.
The Oracle shipped Workflow notification Page is a Self-Secured page and I tried accessing the function associate to this page using http://..../OA.jsp?OAFunc=...&NtfId=123(the page requires the notification id to be passed as a parameter). This does not work and displays the EBusiness login page.
The requirement is to display the notification without prompting the user to login.
Appreciate any feedback on this.

Ho do we configure SharePoint to send the emails formatted as we specified in the workflow?

We’ll need to do a few things to replace SharePoint’s default notification with our own. The first thing we need to do is turn off SharePoint’s default notification. On the Workflow Tasks list, go the Advanced Settings and select
No for Send e-mail when ownership is assigned. Then we need to create workflow to send email.

The Guest Network function of the Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme cannot be enabled when the device is in Bridge Mode. Unfortunately, with another router...the Telus...upstream on your network, Bridge Mode is indicated as the correct setting for all other routers on the network.
If you can replace the Telus gateway with a simple modem (that performs no routing functions), you should be able to configure either the Time Capsule or the AirPort Extreme....whichever is connected to the modem....to provide a Guest Network.

How can I include a Credit Mgmt Case Folder URL in a workflow notification?

I have a requirement to add a URL to a workflow notification, which is easy enough. The issue I am having is that I am not able to create a URL that successfully opens the Credit Management Case Folder that is specified in the worflow notification.
I am only able to get the URL to launch the following successfully: http://<ce:0000>/OA_HTML/RF.jsp?function_id=16351&resp_id=23916&resp_appl_id=222&security_group_id=0&lang_code=US
Has anyone else solved this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Frame Target: New Window

I then added the following line to add the URL attribute to the HTML message body.
Case Folder Link : &CASE_FOLDER_LINK
When using the link above I don't get any error message. However when I try to change the URL to a specific case folder URL (Note this URL should change depending on the Case Folder # provided in the notification message.):
