Enable in-app purchases

I have an iphone 5S with the latest version of the iOS. My enable in-app purchases is greyed out. How may I change it? I have tried enabling and disabling restrictions and neither allow the in-app purchases selection.

First, what version of iOS do you have on your iPod touch? You need iOS 3 or iOS 4 for in-app purchases to be available.
If you have an appropriate version of iOS, go to Settings -> General -> Restrictions. If you can't get it, Restrictions are enabled and In-App Purchases may be set to "Off". You'll need the passcode set by whoever turned on the Restrictions to verify and if necessary change the setting.

  • How do you enable in-app purchases for the iPod Touch?

I have apps like Puzzle Quest and Arena 9 on my iPod that have content I can buy from within the app, but whenever I try to purchase the said content, my iPod keeps saying "In-app purchases are currently disabled". I tried to find it in setting or on iTunes but I can't find a way to enable them.
    Assistance please? Thanks.
    Notes:
I have enough money on my account to purchase the content.
If ever I should have to deauthorize and reauthorize my iPod to fix this, doesn't that mean all my app data will be deleted? (e.g. game progress, files saved on my apps, etc)

  • In-app purchase: Error message when adding a test storekit user

Hi, I'm running into the "The email address you entered already belongs to an existing Apple account. Please try again." when I try to add a test user for in-app purchases. I used an email associated with an existing Apple-id.
I'm running into "Could not convert Apple ID account to iTunes store account." when trying to add a test user with an email-id that doesn't have an Apple-id with it.
I have enabled "in app" purchases and added an in-app-purchasable product id using itunesconnect.
Using the programmer-portal, I've also configured the app-id of the app to enable store kit in-app purchases
I'm assuming that I need to signin with the test-user account for the code to receive the storekit productsRequest:disReceiveResponse callback. However, I haven't been able to create the test user
Does anyone know why both scenarios (described on top) are resulting in an error message ?

If I try to login from Settings->Store, it asks for my credit info which I'm sure is not necessary.
Apple had this to say about that on 8.28.09:
"Setting up Test Accounts for Testing In App Purchase
Before testing In App Purchase in your application, you need to create an In App Test User in iTunes Connect—you should not use other accounts as doing so will result in prompts to enter your credit card number and other information.
Here is how to properly set up your test user for testing In App Purchase..."
Please read all the latest info at the link and good luck w/your app.

  • In-app Purchasing with Phonegap

There’s Phonegap/Cordova plugin to support In-app-purchase on Appstore(iOS) and Google Play(Android), but no way to support Windows Store.
How can we do In-app-purchase with phonegap/cordova for Windows Phone/Windows Store?
Who know if Windows Store supports Javascript Web API to do In-app-purchase ?

    Hi fengshuiapps,
If you want to use the WinRT API's directly in your Cordova based app, then all you need to do is to check for window.Windows property and then use the Windows Runtime classes you would normally do from a regular Windows Store/Phone Runtime apps.
For example, this link: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh694067.aspx talks about enabling in-app purchase for a Windows Store app which uses the Windows Runtime classes directly.
In your case, you will need to use windows.Windows to access the entire Windows Runtime. There is no "intellisense" for getting the WinRT class information, but you should be able to access the classes at runtime.
    Something like this..
if (window.Windows) { // this means you can use the Windows Runtime class information
    var license = window.Windows.ApplicationModel.Store.CurrentAppSimulator.licenseInformation;
// you can now access license.expirationDate or license.isActive properties
    Thanks,

  • HT4009 In app purchase not received

    in toyzilla
was charged for in app purchase
    but it was not received!
i have enabled in app purchases to be allowed

I'm having the same problem too. My suspicion is that I may have entered my password wrong the first time I tried and now it won't let me buy or download anything wether its free or not.  So I went and did some stuff with my account and I re entered my payment information and it was declined for some odd reason. So I went to see my bank account online and my life lock shut it down because someone was using my card -.- it was my sister. But yeah maybe your debit card is invalid.

  • Huge repeated overcharge of in-app purchase [Pokerist]

I have been having repeated overcharge of chips purchased.
For the past days my bank account shows almost $3000 purchase of chips in pokerist which was abnormally high than the actually amount I purchased.
For example. I never purchased the 150M chips ( $99.99) since July but my bill shows there are 3 such purchase in last 3 days.  Also there are more than 20 repeated purchases of $9.99 and $19.99 which I never did.
This is a really abnormal situation I found just today. As I check my bills and account generally Kamagames will charge 2-4times everytime I did one single purchase.

    Hi sakhaarun,
Apple allows in-app purchases to be used for products you define within the same app.  In other words, you can sell an upgrade, add-on, or 'full version' for your own app, but you can't sell somebody else's app.  (Have a look on the 'Top-Grossing' list to see some examples- if it's free, it probably has in-app purchase so you can see what you sell.)  If you want to sell somebody else's app, you'd need to join Apple's iTunes affiliate program which is not related to in-app purchases.
When you enable In-App Purchases with Apple, they are bound to your own application- so another developer cannot access them directly.
However, if you let me know specifically what you are trying to do, I might be able to make a suggestion. If for instance, you have "My App", and you want to sell an upgrade to "My App Pro", it would make more sense to have just "My App", with an in-app purchase that enables all the "pro" features in the main app.

  • IN-APP PURCHASE and other flash packager limitations

    Hi,
I am a mobile developer in a major, if not the biggest game company. We are currently working on a game that needs in-app purchase and that will be multi-platform (IPad, IPhone, Android, Pc, Mac, and Web)
We considered Flash as a multi-platform/screen development tool but the lack of an in-app purchase feature is a huge problem for us since it’s a key element of our game development strategy..
My question is: Does anyone know any workaround to make it happen?
If not: Is this feature planned in the future updates?
That makes me wonder: Can anyone enumerate the flash packager limitation in terms of features?
Is it possible to create a module in Objective C that would communicate with a flash packaged game?
I am very surprised that little information can be found on the web since it’s a very important feature for serious game development.

  • In-app purchase not using my iTunes giftcard

I purchased an in-app permenant update on my account. My account is not connected to any credit card, but it does have $15 from an iTunes giftcard on it. The in-app purchase was $1.99. After the purchase, my account showed the same balance, $15, but the app stayed updated. Will I be billed or will my account eventually be charged?

Some apps allow the user to purchase things. For example, you can purchase an upgrade to the app which removes advertisements; or "tokens" within a game so you can advance through the game faster/easier; or upgrade from what amounts to the trial version to the "pro" version.
You can disable in-app purchases from Settings->Store if you wish to disallow them in the future. Set appropriate restrictions within Settings to prevent someone else from re-enabling in-app purchases if needed.
