Enable Multi Stream ICA parameter in WAAS(5.1.1c)

Hi all!
I have questions about the settings of Multi Stream ICA(MSI) in WAAS (ver 5.1.1c).
(1) Setting Parameter
* Enable only the parameter "Enable Multi Stream ICA" ?
* Is there other parameter for such quality of service(QoS)?
We should set the parameters in WAAS?
We don't have the information of how to set it and the meaning.
(2) Impact when enabling "Enable Multi Stream ICA"
* In our network, ICA stream go thourgh WAAS, but not MSI. If we enable MSI parameter, do outages of current ICA stream happen?
If so, the outage means "connection failure happens"?

  • Smart audio multi stream

    hello
I have a t400 thinkpad. I choose the multi stream option in the smart audio softwere but still only the external (connected via the headphone jack) work. the internal speakers of the laptop do not produce any noise. As I understood the multi stream option suppose to enable both internal and external speakers.
Can anyone help? I really want to use both at the same time...
PS: when I press the red and blue play demo buttons on the smart audio (multi stream) page I can hear the demos on both internal and external speakers , but in winamp and all other sounds I can only hear in the external speakers.
    Thank you

    Hello.
So how do I take advantage of this feature? I want to play music through the mini-jack port and play youtube video through the internal speakers. Before somebody asks why, it's so that two people can use the computer at once. One can watch youtube and the other can listen to music. If it's possible, please step-by-step instructions. I have played around with the SmartAudio software and read the shoddy help file, and not had a clue as to why they would show this feature only to play two pre-recorded sound files.
    Thanks in advance

  • Multiple Default Values in a Multi-Select LOV Parameter?

    Hi,
I have a report in BI Publisher standalone version 10.1.3.4. The report has a list of values called org_lov. This lov is attached to a multi-selection p_org_code parameter from which it is desirable to also have multiple default values.
For example, if org_lov has the following values:
    100
    101
    102
    103
    104
    105
    106
I would like to have 3 default values and have 100, 101,105 as the defaults if the user doesn't specifically select anything from the LOV. So far my testing has only allowed a single default value.
    Here are my settings:
    Data type = string
    Multiple Selection = checked
Can select All = checked (all values passed)
On the Default Value field, I have tried the following:
    1. 100, 101,105
    2. [100, 101,105]
    3. '100', '101','105'
    4. (100, 101,105)
    5. ['100', '101','105']
    6. ('100', '101','105')
I don't need these default values highlighted in the LOV, I just need it passed correctly to the query (a data template).
Thank you in advance for any input.

    Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I tried what you suggested but the problem is that by having the "Multiple Selection" property of the parameter unchecked, the result is that it allows the user to only have a single value passed. The user wants the option to select multiple values AND also have the multiple default values.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Display Multi Port S-Parameter data

    Hi,
there are a lot of programs out to display 2 Port S-Parameter. But what I'm missing is a software that is able to plot Multi port S-parameter data. I would think of some kind of Matrix where you can just select any Port combination that you would like to be displayed by a matrix of boolean selectors. I guess Labview would be an ideal tool for implementing a method for displaying S11, S21, FEXT and NEXT.
Does anybody know if there is an exisisting VI that allows to plot multiport S-Parameter data ?
    Thanks and regards
    Hermann

    Hi Marco,
    thanks for the Feedback.
Í understand, that everything is possible ... I just hoped, that I don't have to programm it on my own  ;-), as such a VI would be something many people could need.
There is a nice vi to display a TDMS file. I'm looking for something similar for S-parameters.
One Example: I do have two 10 Port S-Parameter sets from two different connector vendors and I would like to compare it. Not only displaying and comparing it, but also converting it from Single ended to Differential would be interesting.
But I guess as you mentioned, that there is no "special" example vi on the web I have to implement it on my own  :-(

  • Cannot enable photo stream or set options

Attempting to enable photo stream under my wife's Windows 7 account.  I go to the iCloud control panel applet and tick photo stream.  I then attempt to adjust the location of the stream folder by clicking the options button.  Nothing happens.  I do not see an options window appear.
When I choose Apply, close the iCloud control panel applet, and then reopen; photo stream is no longer checked.
Has anyone experienced this issue?  Any suggestions on how to resolve?
Her account is not an administrator account.  Does this app need admin privs?
    Thanks for the help,
    Jamie

I had the same problem.  I found the fix in another thread.  Instead of logging in with you iTunes login, use your iCloud e-mail address as your login.  Worked like a charm.

  • Iphoto will not enable photo stream

My iPhoto will not enable Photo Stream.  All software is up to date and I have the latest version of iPhoto, in fact Photo Stream was working last week on my Mac.  Now all I get is the msg "iPhoto cannot enable Photo Stream".  Any thoughts ??

Hey dave2468, as you can tell by my original post, this problem surfaced several months ago and out of frustration for lack of an answer to the problem - I called Apple for support.  I was fully prepared to spend the $50 bucks to resolve this issue but fortunately didn't have to.  My problem did get resolved after about 1 &1/2 hours on the phone and the solution revolved around resetting my password for my account...can't tell you why other than ghost in the machine issue.  Yours may be different issue but wanted to let you know how this ultimately got resolved.  I have had no further issues relative to this problem since my phone consultation.  Best of luck - I know how frustrating these things can be. • Clip audio gets quieter after enabling multi-cam.

I have a sequence with two video tracks and one stereo audio track (recorded separtely and synced), and placed it into my "main" sequence for editting. Before enabling multi-cam, the audio levels are noticibly higher, and once setting multi-cam to enable, the volume levels drop about 2-3db. I then have to raise the volume to compensate for that. Is this a bug or something particular about the way multi-cam clips are handled?
    Steve

This is normal.  Multicam by default only uses Audio 1 of the source sequence.

  • T520 Beta Sound Driver doesn't support multi stream output with docking station

I always used (and loved) the ability to use the laptop speakers and the headphone jack as independend outputs. For Windows 8 it doesn't work. Neither Win8 beta driver nor the latest Win7 driver brings this feature to Win8.
The option for Multistream is still selectable in SmartAudio. Selecting this option makes Win8 installing some things but doesn't actually make MultiStream work
Hope this is just because of the drivers beta stage...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The new audio driver for windows8 brings back the multi stream output. It also fixes the crash on selecting VoIP-Settings in SmartAudio application Driver is here.

  • Can't enable photo stream, doesn't respond???

Can't enable photo stream, doesn't resond???

You are logged in to your iCloud account on your iMac, right?  If so then disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

  • Every time I launch iPhoto 11 i have to enable Photo Stream. It won't stay on.

After activating iCloud, and setting all my preferences appropriately, iPhoto was actively downloading my Photo Stream into my library.
But the last few days it stopped. I finally discovered that in my iPhoto preferences the option to enable Photo Stream was no longer clicked. If I click it, it starts pulling from the cloud. If I quit iPhoto, and relaunch it is still enabled and will begin again to pull from the cloud.
But if I restart my computer or log off, when I launch iPhoto I need to enable Photo Stream again.
I am on Lion. All software is up-to-date. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution?
    Thanks.

See if the following will let you to keep Photostream on:  make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

I don't have the 'iPod ' option in my iPad in settings menu as shown here. I have music option shown. I have 5.1.1 os installed. How to enable sharing/streaming of music now?

    Yes.
You need to,turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on the computer. The computer and the iPad will need to be on the same wireless network. You will also need to make sure the same AppleID accosiared with your iTunes is also added to the Music app in Settings.

Good catch, nifmus.  I'm kicking myself for not checking system.log earlier!   I have very similar messages in mine.
By any chance is your Library folder (or part of it) relocated to a separate disk?  Or your entire home folder?  I have part of my Library folder on a SSD for speed, but my home folder and some of the larger Library subdirectories are on a regular disk because they wouldn't fit on the small SSD.  It's all tied together with symbolic links, and without problems... until Photo Stream came along and didn't like it.
I knew that sandboxd was involved somehow, but your post prompted me to focus on it.  It's definitely the problem here.  I found the following sandbox profile file inside the iPhoto application bundle:
    /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/PhotoStreamAgent.app/Conten ts/Resources/PhotoStreamAgent.sb
Inside this file are a bunch of definitions to control what PhotoStreamAgent is allowed to do.  There are a bunch of lines under an allow-file-write* declaration which should allow PhotoStreamAgent to write to the above files listed in your log.  Lines such as:
           (home-regex #"/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement")
           (home-regex #"/Library/Preferences/com\.apple\.iLifeAssetManagement\.crash\.plist(\.[^/]+)? $")
And many others.  In my case, I suspect that the problem may be related to the fact that the final absolute path of those files may differ from what you'd get if you just substituted my home directory in for "home-regex" since I have stuff relocated around.  Although since I was able to get it working with a blank home directory, also put in place via a symbolic link (so the final path differs), I'm not 100% sure of this.
What I do know right now is that there is a quick "hack" that fixed it for me.  I don't like the hack and would strongly recommend against it, because it's likely to break the next time there's a software update for iPhoto.  But it works until I can find a permanent solution.
To make it work, I edited the above file and changed the second line from "(deny default)" to "(allow default)".  This, of course, defeats the whole purpose of the sandbox by allowing PhotoStreamAgent to do anything it wants, but it also allows stuff that is really supposed to be allowed but fails anyway for us.
If you want to try this, it helps to be familiar with the unix underpinnings of OS X.  There's probably a way to do it in the normal graphical user interface, but as a longtime unix guy, I just jumped to the command line and did a "sudo vi (that long filename)".  To do it via the gui method, you'll have to navigate to that folder in Finder (quickest way is to hit Cmd-Shift-G and copy/paste the path, or right-click iPhoto and "Show Package Contents", then drill down to the file), edit the file, save a copy (because you don't have permission to modify it), then copy the new version over the old (it will ask for an admin password).
Again, I don't recommend this because it's likely to break in the future and defeats the security that Apple intended with the sandbox, but it's a quick fix.  I'll continue to investigate as I have time, trying to find out precisely what's causing the failure with the default sandbox profile.

  • Im loosing audio when I enable Multi-Camera

First, a rundown of my system and software:
Vista Ultimate x64 Service Pack 2
    Q6600 Quad Core
    8 Gig
    (2) Western Digital 74GB 10,000 RPM SATA Raptor's
    Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
Im just now delving into multi-camming in Premiere, and, I can get it to work perfectly, to a point.
I will describe, briefly, and quick, because I am good up to the point that I experience my problem.
I create my first sequence, import three video clips, kill the audio on clips 2, and 3, set my clip markers, synchronize based on numbered markers, then create another sequence, with only 1 video, and 1 audio track,  to nest the first sequence in.
Drag the first sequence into the second, and scrub it. I have audio, as I should at this point.
But as soon as I right-click on that single video track, and enable Multi-Camera, I no longer have any audio.
All video windows, and aspects are there, and working perfectly.
If I go up to Edit, and then Undo, to dis-enable the Multi-Camera, then I get my audio back again.
Any tutorial, or instructional video I watch on this process, they still have audio, after enabling Multi-Camera, as you should.
Why do you think I am loosing my audio, just at that step?

Believe it or not, I ended up solving this mystery myself.
And the explanation is quite long, and tediously detailed, but, I’ll try to explain while keeping it as brief, and concise as possible.
The problem actually lies in the setting up, track wise, of your initial sequence.
Ill first explain the correct way, and then I’ll explain why my way did not work.
Be very careful to design your initial sequence, given all the details of the video clips that you’re going to use.
If you’re going to use 3 video clips, and all 3 video clips have stereo audio tracks, design your initial sequence with just that, 3 video tracks, and 3 “stereo” audio tracks.
But what you have to remember is, and this may be where the misconception comes into play, but, within Premiere, in the “New Sequence” box, under the, “Tracks” tab, is where you setup how many video tracks, and audio tracks you want this sequence to have. So, if you have 3 video clips with mono sound, naturally you would want to change the setting to “3”, for the number of video tracks, and “3” for the number of mono audio tracks, under the audio section.
    Wrong.
First thing under the Audio section, is the setting for the, “Master” audio track, or, audio track #1.
So, if you would have followed the above scenario, you now would have 4 audio tracks, instead of just 3 mono as you entered.
    Why?
Being that the “Master” audio track, or audio track #1, is by default set to “Stereo”, via its drop down selection menu, Premiere will not put any of your, “mono” track info on audio track #1, because audio track #1 is set to stereo, so it will start filling, “after” track #1, and on downwards, creating a new, or 4th audio track, as in, your 3 mono tracks will go on track 2, track 3, and the newly created, track 4.
The correct way to have done the above scenario, would have been to create 3 video tracks, 1 “master” audio track of mono, and 2 mono audio tracks. That would give you 3 total mono audio tracks.
Always remember to use the “Master” audio track, as your first audio track.
So what happened in my scenario?
Well, first, I forgot to remember that the “master” audio track, or audio track #1, had to be manually assigned by using its drop down selection menu, to pick either mono, stereo, etc.  And by me not setting it, its default state was stereo.
Well, I had 3 video clips, only one clip had audio, and it was mono.
So, immediately, that means that my mono audio “WILL NOT” be on audio track #1.
    Well, so what?
Well, I also discovered through tedious trial and error, of creating 3 seperate mono videos of me speaking 1 on video 1, 2 on video 2, and 3 on video 3, that once you enable Multi-Camera, in your second sequence, Premiere tracks, …you guessed it, audio track #1.
And at this point, I have nothing on audio track #1, because it was set, by default, to stereo.
Thus why I had no audio, as soon as I enabled Multi-camera.
The true moral, just pay close attention to setting up your initial sequence, and you “should” have no problems.
Thanks once again to all who attempted to help, you folks are great.
