Enable PHP Imap Extension on Lion Server (I Willing to Pay for the Service)
Can anyone teach me or know how to enable PHP Imap extension on my Lion 10.7 server?
I willing to pay for the service fee for this.
Kindly contact me asap [email protected], I need my server to have this feature as soon as possible.
I found a several blogs for this but still can't get it work exactly.

Ditto. Guest accounts shouldn't have a password. No way to enter one in System Prefs...

Lion server users on that Mac or the network?
This question is so 101 I'm almost afraid to ask it: when you create users in the Lion server software, are these users for that specfic Mac (just like any Mac user) or are they user on the network who will share the server services?
I can't get past this fundamental set up. I only want one user to admin the server software, but I have 5 users of other macs in our office who I want to be able to use the server services, like email and wiki.
How do I set them up?Look in the Server App, if the users there have a small blue globe on them then they are Network Users. If they don't have the globe then you aren't serving an Open Directory Master.
Follow the advice in the Next Steps panel in the lower part of the Server App. -

No. Mountain Lion Client and Server are two separate purchases and downloads. You will need to upgrade to both.

The internet was working fine til 10:31am philippine time. Was downloading OSX Lion, at that time it was somewhere half. Then all of a sudden internet failed and lost connection. Called my ISP immediately and was told it would take 24-48hours for the service to be restored. THen after ending the call the OSx Lion icon disappeared. I dont know what to do. Im not techie at all. Hey allan. I dont know. Nothing seems to change. I still dont have net connection. Im at a net shop right now. (Not using mac.) What will happen to the OSX Lion that I payed for? The icon was gone. Im still in the middle of downloading it.

I am traveling to India with my new iPad...to enable me to be online 24hrs a day to access my emails...do I just need a local sim card...also can I use a normal adaptor to plug in to charge or am I best paying for the apple universal kit....
If you have the AT&T 3G iPad then you can explore the SIM card. I'm not sure if India has the SIM network or another type. REgardless you should be able to access wifi.
HOnestly, if I were traveling I'd get a plug adapter from a normal retail store. You can get a good one for $20 or less at your local retailer, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, probably KMart though I've not looked for them there. Best Buy and the office supply stores may also have them. You don't have to pay for the official one unless you want to. (I have 'over the counter' plug adapters so if I traveled I'd use what I have not buy another) -
why do we have to buy mountain lion when we bought lion? Others who didn't purchase lion don't have to pay for it to move to mountain lion.
As far as I know the only people not having to pay for Mountain Lion are the ones that have purchased a apple computer after the 4th of june or something. These people get a free upgrade. All others will have to pay for a copy of Mountian Lion.
Do you maybe have a source, which states that others don't have to pay for it, where people that have bought Lion do have to pay?

i just bought a macbook pro and the mountain lion free update applied correctly but the internet went down and now the download won't appear/ continue, and when i open the app store it requests me to pay for the update? what can i do?

mid 2011 21.5 inch iMac with lion video=freeze, will not restart for 30-60 minutes , today it took 14 hours before power button would restart it , is anyone else having a long restart after this problem?
Look in Activity Monitor (Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor) and see if you have any runaway processes using a lot of %CPU.
I would also strongly recommend running Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode. If it reports errors you can Google them or post them here. -
Will I have to pay for the OS Lion Update?
So I just recently purchased a 13" Macbook Pro, it arrived yesterday, 5/6. I will be away and won't be able to open and start it up until June 1st.
WWDC is only a few days after I will have had the computer. I'm not very familiar with it, but I assume I register the MBP to my Apple account on startup?
Will I still have to pay for the OS Lion Update, if/when they announce the OS less then a week later?
I could see them, Apple, having a grace period for this kind of thing and just want some opinions...

I have to enable php_zip.so extension for my phpexcel .How could i do this without re configure php ?If the extension=zip.so line is not in php.ini file then you must configure php to accept this extension and restart the webserver.

OSX Mountain Lion Server - how do you uninstall this including services

Sorry if the question has been asked before.
I have Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and installed OSX Mountain Lion Server (2.2.2) and run into a couple of issues after installed successfully.
* I no longer can add users and groups.
* Open Directory fails to connect.
So I read some forums and uninstalled the server by trashing it, deleting /Libaray/Server, empty trash and reboot. But when I reinstalled the server it renabled all the services that I had previously and still not able to add users and groups. Open Directory fails to connect "not able to load replica" So I try to create a new OD and get an error the server is already a Network Server.
So basicaly I want to start from scratch and need some assistance how to get rid of OSX Server.

SahidWipe the disk, and reinstall OS X. (Not fun, of course. I just created a bootable USB disk for this purpose, and nuked an errant server configuration. A "target practice" server used for testing purposes had gone awry, and needed to be wholly reset. So I know what you're going through. Visit here or here for some instructions.)
FWIW, usual trigger for problems with OS X Server on a NAT'd network is bad DNS. That step gets skipped, or folks think they can refer to ISP or off-LAN DNS servers, and problems ensue. OS X Server needs LAN-local DNS when NAT is in use.
