Enable Signing in Reader but Disable Commenting

I am a new-comer to Acrobat. In fact, I'm still using the trial version. So far I like it much better than the cheaper Acrobat "alternatives" I've tried. But I do have some questions.
I work for a geomatics and land planning firm and we recently decided to start plotting our construction plans to PDF. This means that the documents must be signed digitally by our engineers and surveyors. To initiate the signing process, I create a signature block in Acrobat and then "Extend Features to Adobe Reader." The engineers and surveyors can then easily apply their signatures in Reader. However, I have noticed that extending features also allows for commenting. I have Googled for a while and searched through the help, but I can't seem to find a way to allow ONLY signing in Reader. I've also noticed that Reader allows placement of of a signature anywhere on the document - not just in the designated signature block. The signature needs to be in a specific location on the plans, so it's also important to allow ONLY signing in the designated area. Is this possible with Acrobat and Reader? Thanks for any help.

Adobe's LiveCycle Reader Extensions product gives you that sort of control over which usage rights are enabled, but Acrobat does not. So it seems like you'll just have to train your users to do what's right.

Hello, we need to work with Acrobat Reader X. We generate a pdf from a doc file and we add security to disable printing and we enable commenting, but when we open it with Acrobat Reader X we see that printing is disabled, but commenting is disable too. ¿It's a bug from Acrobat Reader X? we know that Acrobat Reader XI resolve it but we can't see in realease notes.

We add security from java with itext library. Wirth user and password:
PdfStamper stamp = new PdfStamper(reader, out);
stamp.setEncryption("".getBytes(),"PASSWORD".getBytes(), (PdfWriter.ALLOW_MODIFY_ANNOTATIONS), true);
If we put "stamp.setEncryption("".getBytes(),"PASSWORD".getBytes(), (PdfWriter.ALLOW_PRINTING), true);" we can see PRINTING enable but it we put " stamp.setEncryption("".getBytes(),"PASSWORD".getBytes(), (PdfWriter.ALLOW_MODIFY_ANNOTATIONS), true);" is always disabled.
We use Acrobat Reader 10.1.3 .

I know that with Acrobat 11.0 the problem is resolved, I tried with 10.1.4, 10.1.5, 10.1.6, 10.1.7, 10.1.8 and 10.1.9. I can't find the list of release notes of Acrobat Reader 11.0.

Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options.

SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

I changed everything and i signed out then i sign in again but still my. apple id is disabled plz solve this problem!!!!!????

If you're getting the message that your Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons, then please follow the directions in the article below to resolve the issue.

You may want to try restarting to see if that has any effect Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Adobe Reader won't ask you to sign in for updates. Most likely, this is just the normal adminstrator password prompt you get when installing or updating software, and you use your computer's own password.

I have a problem with UDO form. On my form I have some folder. When a user has read only authorization for this form and open a record of this object all items on this form disabled. I try to enabling with next code
oUDOForm.Items.Item("Folder1").Enabled = True
but without luck.
Anyone has any idea how can I set enabling folders as well as system form, on which event.

Items on UDO generated forms using AutoManaged attributes.
You can use the SetAutoManagedAttribute to get override the Folder system settings
oUDOForm.Items.Item("Folder1").SetAutoManagedAttribute (ama_Editable,BoAutoFormMode.afm_All,mvb_True)
You can also set in different cases: Enable all mode first, then disable in find mode: result Find mode will be disabled, but every other will be enabled.
oUDOForm.Items.Item("Folder1").SetAutoManagedAttribute (ama_Editable,BoAutoFormMode.afm_all,mvb_True)

That is the problem, that error message in VM is not explicit enough as to what steps to take to correct the problem. These bois screen authors decide arbitrarily to name settings as it relates to their world personally and there are not standards.
I still don't know how that got changed in the first place but that is not an issue with VM ware as to what else is changing the setting.
Do you have any explicit suggestions as to how the error message can be improved?
