Enable to open query in sap bw analyzer .

Hi All,
I am getting problem while opening a query in analyzer it is giving error like this.....
warning hierarchy bus area hierarchy kota 000000000 is not available for infocube
abort system error in program cl_rsr_hierarchy_buffer and form -incl_read_db-1-  and also i tried in bex designer...when i go for execute it is saying the addres path is not correct.
Please help me out regarding this error...
Regards,
Venkatesh.

Hi,
Hope you're doing fine.
Check if your query is using a hierarchy. Probably the H table of one of the hierarchy is empty.
You have to detect which one is, delete and reload.
Hope it helps.

  • Query on SAP Bank Analyzer

    Hi,
We are presently working on the SAP Banking suite , mainly on SAP Loans Management and SAP Collateral Management. We would now like to look into SAP Bank Analyzer. Can SAP Bank Analyzer be accessed in SAP ECC 6.0 ? If not, request you to clarify if this can be provided as an add-on or is it available in a different platform and if additional licences are required.
Moreover is there any training program and material on Bank Analyzer provided by SAP?
    Shall appreciate a quick response.
    Regards
    Subhobrata

    Hi Subhobrata,
SAP Bank Analyzer has never been part of SAP ECC. It is shipped as part of Banking Services from SAP.
Banking Services is based on a different Netweaver stack (7.1X) than ECC (7.0X). Installation is only possible as separate instance and requires additional licensing.
An overview of trainings for analytical banking is available at: http://www1.sap.com/services/education/catalog/industry/curriculum.epx?context=%5b%5bBANK_ANAL%5d%5d%7c

  • Cannot open query in Excel (BEX analyzer)

    Hello Experts,
Issue: Cannot open the BEX report in Excel but can open the same report on IE.
    1) I am trying to open a BEX report "ReportA" in Excel (BeX Analyzer).
    2) As soon as the report opens it shows me a message "Do you want to open the 3.X workbook for upgrade"
    3) I click on "OK"
    4) then i get a message window listing a lot of warnings liike " Access to project denied"  "creation of items failed"
    5) i click on "OK"
    6) Now, variable entry screen appears
    7) i enter values and click on "OK" the report does not show any data.
Now, the same report "reportA" when i open it in Internet Explorer, it displays data. What can be reason for this problem in BEX analyzer ?
    Please comment.

    Hi Suraj,
If you want to execue your query, you can use the bex analyzer.
If you are opening the query from query designer 3.x query in 7.0 fronend, it will get upgraded and then cannot be reveted.
In your case this automatic migration might be havng some issues, owing to complexities.
    Please recheck.

  • Advantages of BW Query in SAP Portal when compared to WEB BEx Analyzer

    Hi
What are the advantages of having a BW Query in SAP Portal when compared to WEB BEx Analyzer
I had to presention to higher managers of having a SAPPortal for BW report that WEB BEx Analyzer
can any one please update me with few points (10-20) that will be useful for my presentation

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Krishna ,
I think you should highlight the portal role in presentation
Now a days all organizations using sap portal as their user interface. We can login portal once and we can get all the information from bw,crm...sap systems and non sap systems.
so no need to login each and every system individually.
The portal offers a single point of access to SAP and non-SAP information sources, enterprise applications, information repositories, databases and services in and outside your organization—all integrated into a single user experience. It provides you the tools to manage this knowledge, to analyze and interrelate it, and to share and collaborate on the basis of it.
With its role-based content, and personalization features, the portal enables users—from employees and customers to partners and suppliers—to focus exclusively on data relevant to daily decision-making processes

  • Execute Query from SAP Menu with Analyzer

    Hi.
I have created a menu for users. This menu contains links to queries that are opened with Internet Explorer.
Now, i want to have another link but instead of opening it with Internet Explorer, i want to open them with Analyzer.
Is possible to launch a query trough SAP Menu link in Analyzer? User will not need to open it trough 'Folder + Open Query ..'
    Kind regards,
    Inigo.

    Here are couple of directions:
    1. Create a local workbook which has embedded query. Store this workbook on a remote server or BI/FTP and create a link from it. But once this link is clicked, that workbook will be downloaded and user will have to login again in BEx analyzer.
    2. If we can call transaction "RRMX" from web, it will eliminate problem of relogin.
    3. Launching BExAnalyzer.exe file from web should launch analyzer automatically. Check whether this file accepts any parameters like open dialogue or query name??
    Hope something helps..

  • Unable to open Query in Bex Analyzer

    Hi All,
I am unable to open query in BEx Analyzer though i am able to open it in RSRT.It gives me no error,as soon as i open query it shows processing then nothing happens. No selection screen nothing,no error also.
Any pop up something like that  which is blocking the execution of Query??And its in production system,so its pretty urgent.

    Hi,
RSRT works while Analyzer doesn't. I would check it from the authorizations/roles point of view.
Some time ago I saw similiar error - due to lack of some rights the user was unable to run a query.
After I looked into the data provider definition I saw nothing there. My (admin) rights were good enough to run the query and see the data.
The user had no rights to read some infoprovider data. After granting the rights he could run the query.

    Hi Experts,
I have checked with basis team , my issue is resolved, please find the solution .
    1) Add corresponding system server names in host files of the offshore desktops.
    2) After that basis has added offshore natted ips in sap gatewat parameter/alternate hostnames in system profile (rz10 tcode).
Then offshore are able to access query deisgner etc....

  • Open Office in SAP

    Hi Sridhar,
Check this SAP note under Product Enhancement

    It says
"Open Office (www.openoffice.org) is an open-source suite of office applications that is free to use.

  • Unable to Open Query

    Hello,
I have a user that is unable to open a query using the BEx Analyzer.  The user is able to refresh workbooks, but cannot open queries using the Business Explorer Menu..  When selecting a query, the screen goes blank.  I have tried this user's ID on my computer and it still does not work.  We are running BEx 3.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Tina

It could be either or both. SAP BW has two, and potentially three, levels of security.
    1) There could be custom Authorization Objects created to limit access to authorization-relevant InfoObjects. Any
InfoProvider where an authorization-relevant InfoObject exists will invoke this security.
    2) BEx has some Authorization Objects required in order to do particular functions within the tools. Also, there are activities (e.g. create, read, modify, etc) that are associated to the objects.
    3) If you're using the SAP BI Portal or SAP Enterprose Portal for your reporting, it has it's own set of Authorization Objects because you can setup tabs whereby you can restrict who can view specific tabs. For example, you can have a tab for Labor reports in your portal where only a select few people can even execute the reports. This would be desirous even though the data is security and the report would come back with no data.

  • Edit Bex Query in SAP Gui?

    Hi,
Anyone know if it is possible to edit a Bex Query in the SAP Gui? For instance with a T-code or Program in SE38? Having problem with my Bex fontend and am not allowed to install patches on this computer. Only need to remove on Free charracteristic.
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
I don't think it is possible. I never heard of opening Query other than Query designer. I think best option will be to fix your computer and install patch.

  • SAP Memory Analyzer for 64-bit

where can i get the new SAP Memory Analyzer (JAVA) for windows 64bit  installations ?
i just found it for 32 -bit , and this can not be installed on windows 64bit maschines .
    thank you
    hannes toefferl

    Hi Hannes,
Sorry, I fixed the error on the Wiki page. Currently we can only offer the download of the 32 bit Windows version. We are however discussing to put the current version out as plugins ZIP and hopefully on an update server, as well.
For now, please have a look at our Wiki which describes how to create your own installation based on the plugins stored in the installer:
    Excerpt from the Wiki ---
However, since we are based on Eclipse 3.2.0 you can try this: Download Eclipse 3.2.0 for your platform, copy our plug-ins (can be found in the installer -> Resource1.ZIP -> MemoryAnalyzer.zip -> plugins) into the plugins folder of your Eclipse installation and open the Memory Analysis perspective. On Windows 64 bit and Linux 64 bit (x86_64/GTK 2) this proved to work. Don't forget to give your Eclipse installation plenty of Java heap - the more, the faster.
    Kind regards,
    Vedran

    In activity POWL_CAT - '??' , POWL_LSEL-DISALLOWED - POWL_QUERY - ?? , POWL_RA_AL - ?? , POWL_TABLE - ??.
With our current settings Create New Query and Personalize in Check Status appear but are disabled (greyed out)

You could the following to check if the Query still exists in the database:
Open SQL Management Studio and connect to the SQL Server hosting the ConfigMgr database
In SQL Managemnt Studio, Expand Database, Expand CM_YourSiteCode
Expand tables and find the dbo.Queries table
Right-click the dbo.Queries table and select Select Top 1000 Rows
See if you can find your "ghost" Query
Please note - it IS NOT supported
to make direct changes to ConfigMgr database so I would properly call PSS on this one before you start getting creative.
