Cannot optimize my file.
Neither those ways :
FIRST TEST
In my FCPX prefs transcoding OFF
In import window transcoding OFF
Transcoding the event to 422
SECOND TEST
In my FCPX prefs transcoding ON
In import window transcoding OFF
THIRD TEST
In my FCPX prefs transcoding OFF
In import window transcoding ON
Was working fine, but not now.
Do you think that I have to reinstall FCPX
And if what about all my third party plugins.

Exactlly what media are you trying to optimize. (Transcode is a post import function.)
FIRST TEST
Nothing should optimize in these settings
SECOND TEST
Nothing should optimize in these settings either. The import setting will override the preference.
THIRD TEST
This should optimize if the media is suitable.

How to enable SSL optimization only for a single remote WAE and specific website?

Hi guys.
I have to enable SSL optimization for a specifc HTTPS website only and for a specific remote site only (branch office).
The scenario is as follows:
Multiple sites connected via a MPLS cloud. Each site has its own WAE device (module or appliance).
There is a central manager and core WAE in the main site (central site).
There is a website accessed via HTTPS by all the remote sites. This specific website is hosted within the main site.
For only a specific branch office (remote site) we want to enable SSL optimization for this specific website.
I saw this great and useful doc, but I still have some concerns.

Basically, according to I see, I should do the following if I want to enable SSL optimization with the entire environment:
- export the certificate and keys;
- enable secure store in the central manager;
- In the remote and core WAE, Check "initialize CMS secure store" and "Open CMS Secure Store";
- In the core WAE, import the CA certificate (upload PEM file);
- In the core WAE, create the SSL Accelerated Service by:
    --importing the client certificate and the key;
    -- Match interesting traffic;
    -- Put the SSL Acc Service in service;
- Finally, make sure SSL acceleration is enabled in both remote and core WAE.
The concerns:
I only need to enable SSL optimization for a specific location accessing a specific website.
Should the steps above work fine If I enable the SSL service for this specific website in the core WAE and enabling secure store only in a single remote site (brach office)?
how will the other remote locations behave?
Will they access the website normally with no SSL optimization even passing thru the core WAE?
What about the other SSL sites which have no certificate? They will be treated as normal HTTPS with no optimization, right?
If the site uses proxy, will any flow be impacted?
If the steps above do not fit my case, how can I configure SSL optimization for only one remote WAE?

Enable and Disable the file paths

Hai i have two file paths one logical file path and other is physical file path.
I took two radio buttons.
How can i enable and disable the file paths by using these radio buttons.
When i select the 1st radio button then 1st file path is in enable and second file path in disable mode similarly for the second radio button also.

How to enable commenting into pdf files using java?

Hi All,
Is there any way available to enable comments into pdf files through java. I have a Adobe Reader 9 and also I want put some comments into pdf file, but the reader is not allowed to place a comment into pdf file before enabling the Comments into pdf. After enabling the comments in pdf file then only we can place the comments and we can the pdf file with comments.
Is there any way available to enable comments into pdf file to view acrobat reader.

The end user who uses the web application has Acrobat installed in their mahcine needs it only for the purpose of enabling comments in pdf. If this task of enabling comments in pdf is done through my application there is no need for acrobat in such user's machine which was requested as a cost cuttnig measure.
For this purpose, i need to know about how to enable comments in pdf through java api.
I have used itext java api for other pdf related manipulation in java. But it does not have feature as per the requirement posted above. Can any body suggest relevant java api to achieve the task requested?

Pooladm: cannot enable pools: No such file or directory

I'm having a problem enabling pools in Solaris 10. I used a core installation and manually installed the SUNWpool, SUNWpoolr, SUNWzoner, and SUNWzoneu packages.
When I try to execute "pooladm -e" to enable pools I get the following error:
pooladm: cannot enable pools: No such file or directory
Also, when I enable the svc:/system/pools:default service it errors into maintenance state with the same error in the log file.
I believe the problem is related to the non-existance of /dev/pool, but I'm not sure why it is not there.

Right-click on the exe file and choose Properties.
Switch to the compatibility tab and uncheck the box next to "Run this program as an administrator". Click "ok".

"Optimize to file size" script

I am currently writing an applescript to circumvent Photoshop's lack of scripting support for the "Optimize to File Size" option in the Save for Web command, but I'm having trouble with targeting the file sizes correctly.
Here is the code I'm using (forgive me, I know its not so graceful... I'm still very new). Basically it exports the image at 100% quality, checks the resulting file size against the desired file size, and if it's not equal to or less than that value, it deletes, reduces the quality level, and re-exports until it meets that criteria:

The problem that I am having is that when this script exports bigger images at bigger file sizes (even in the 30 to 40k range) it works perfectly. However, whenever I get to thumbnail sized images that i need to export at say 3k or 4k, it runs into an infinite cycle of deleting and re-exporting. I have tried using the "data size" property instead of "physical size" but that seems to ignore the loops altogether and export files at much larger sizes.
Can anyone out there help? I'd love to nail down a script that can do this function well, as I think there is a huge need for this functionality amongst people who regularly batch process images, i'm just afraid that my version may not be the most efficient.

[Photoshop CS5] Optimize to File Size working not correctly.

Concise problem statement: Optimize to File Size working not correctly.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Open any photo.
2. Draw a slice
3. Save For Web, choose Optimize to File Size, type 10KB (Current Slice).
4. Save "selected slices" only
Results: File result larger than expect (over 10KB)
Expected results: <=10KB filesize.
I uninstalled whole Adobe CS5 Master Collection (Trial) & tried to reproduce the bug in Photoshop CS4, but it was not happened, it's ok on CS4.
Finally, Windows 7 is not reason, it's a bug of Photoshop CS5. Please fix, I don't want to buy a bugged software.
I really need the feature "Optimize to File Size" in my works.
P.S: I tested on 4 PCs, and the results is the same.

I often need to resize multiple sizes of JPEGs to be exactly 40k for websites. My current process is to:
Open a file in Photoshop
"Save for Web"
Click on the menu drop down on the Optimize window and select "Optimize to File Size"
Enter 40k and click OK
Save.
This is a tedious process when I have to do it for dozens of files a week. I've tried creating an Action to speed up the process, but it doesn't recognize the "Optimize to File Size" setting.
Is there a script or other solution to automate this process?
(I'm on a Mac with Photoshop CS6.)

Perhaps someone has create a script to do something like that. I'm quite sure one could be programmed, However a script like you want is not supplied by Adobe with Photoshop.
I also do not think it is possible to save all image as jpegs that are exactly 40K in size. Less than or near 40K yes exactly 40K no.

Enabling an Adobe Acrobat file

Since Word does not directly edit PDFs, perhaps converting the PDF to a Word document would work for you.
In the Acrobat X menu: File > Save As > Microsoft Word > Word Document
Make your edits in Word, then
convert back to PDF from Word's Acrobat tab.

Automating "Optimize to File Size"

I have been using PS7. An ongoing frustration has been that if I record an action using Save for Web and do the Optimize to File Size dialog, the action does not include the file size optimization. So for each image I have to have the action stop at the Save for Web step and do the file size optimization manually. I've searched the web and apparently there is no workaround for this.
Skip four versions ahead - I just downloaded a trial version of CS4 Extended. One of the first things I tried was to record an action that included the Optimize to File Size dialog. When I ran the action, lo and behold it still does not appear to remember the Optimize to File Size step. I checked that the images were capable of being compressed to the desired file size by manually doing Optimize to File Size.
Please tell me that I am just doing something wrong and that it should be possible for the action to remember the Optimize to File Size step.

Okay, I've done some searching into the "image processor" and found it fairly quickly. Unfortunately, that only lets you specify the maximum pixel dimensions of the image, not the file size. Many web sites have file size limitations for posted photos, e.g., 100 kB. The Optimize to File Size lets you meet the file size criterion as closely as possible without exceeding it.

Script to "Optimize to file size" (automatically) in "Save for Web"?

I'm a novice when it comes to scripts in Photoshop, but I'm really coming to the conclusion that this is the only way to automate the actions I need to do, whithout having to do it one-by-one.
Is it possible to write a Script to automatically choose the option (and settings) to "Optimize to file size" in the "Save for Web" dialog?
Is it also possible to save the file in the document's original folder, instead of a single specific folder, using "Save for Web"?
I have a really big number of different files (some .JPEG, some .PNG, some .TIFF) and I need to generate a single "reference.jpg" in each one of those original folders. It's quite easy to use whatever method to separate all those files in some lists and later open them in Photoshop in small subgroups of files.
I only have a restriction of size (60Kb) for those "reference.jpg" files, and I would like to save all of them, in each document original folder, with the best possible quality within that size constraint.
Here's my problem:
I can easily do that with a very simple action, but, that specific way, I have no control whatsoever over the resulting filesize of those "reference.jpg" files generated. Moreover, I also find the "save for web" command create a more "slim" file, allowing for better quality within my size constraint.

This works, but it takes a long time and keep the HD disk "going crazy" during the time it is processing the images.
This is too bad, because the "Optimize to file size" dialog in the "Save for Web" would have been so much faster, efficient and much less "disk-intensive"...

Visual Studio TestStand API runtime enable/disable XML reporting file creation

I am looking for a Visual Studio C# solution to selectively disable creation of the report generation XML file using the TestStand API.
These XML files are useful for active troubleshooting for technicians, but wind up cluttering important directories with useless information most of the time.
I am aware that the XML file creation can be disabled through the TestStand Sequence Editor menu item Configure | Result Processing | Output Name Report | Enabled unchecked option.
This is helpful, but:
1. I have not found a way to check-uncheck this feature at runtime.
2. I do not believe that this would be an effective solution for my instal-less Base Deployment Paradigm.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

This is useful, complete, and implementable but not exactly what I was hoping for.
I was hoping to be able to enable/disable the XML file creation for the currently executing instance of the engine prior to sequence start.
I would rather not disable reporting through a configuration file that would effectively disable it for all uses of TestStand until it was re-enabled again.
Are my expectations unrealistic?
Does anyone have any idea how creation of the XML file can be enabled/disabled for an active instance of the engine prior to sequence start through the API without altering the file based configuration of TestStand?
I have seen some postings around 2008 that indicate this can be done, but I was unsuccessful implementing those solutions in TestStand 2013.
