Enable web services for hp envy 5530

I keep getting enable web services when I am trying to scan a document. I have clicked on yes about a million times but it wont let me move forward with scanning my documents. I am using MAC OS system.

Hi @cixxpac77,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.   I see that you are getting a message to enable the web services on your Envy 5530 printer when trying to scan.
From your description I suspect that you are trying to use the scan to email feature of your printer.  This feature requires that you setup the ePrint feature of the printer.
The first step is to please ensure your printer is connected to your wireless network.  This can  be easily accomplished from the front panel of the printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard.  If you are unsure how to do this, the steps can be found in your User Guide on page 55 in the section titled “To connect the product with the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
Once the printer is connected to your wireless network, let’s enable web services.  The steps to enable the web services can be found in the Getting the Printer Claim Code document.   If you wish to customize the printer’s ePrint email address I have included the Setting Up a Custom Email Address for HP ePrint document.
If you encountered an connection error message when trying to enable web services, please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer.  I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screenshots, on how to do this.  Don’t worry that the screen shots are for an Officejet 4630  the steps are the same.
Please let me know the outcome.

I'm having trouble creating a wiki on my server. More specifically, in WGM, I cannot enable web services for a group. The pull-down menu is accessible, but the only option is "(None)."
I have users and groups set up in OD (they are not local).

  • How to enable Web services for CP 1525nw

    Hi,
I am unable to use ePrint for LaserJet CP 1525nw. Printer connected over WiFi. Tried to Enable Web services and saw the message "Connection error Check connection". Firmware is up-to-date. Use the printer in different applications on PC, iPad and iPhone. Everything is working well not ePrint. HP diagnostics did not describe any problems.

    Hello Prophet097,
Setting manual network information may help the enabling of Web Services for ePrint on your printer.
    To do so:
On the printer's control panel, press "OK" two times to access the reports menu.
Press the right arrow to select "Network Summary" and press "OK" to print the report.
Open an internet browser on a computer within the same network as the printer.
In the address bar, type the printer's "IPv4 Address" and press "Enter", this should take you to a page about your printer.
Click on the "Network" tab at the top of the page.
Click on "IPv4 Configuration" on the left-hand side.
Click the bubble to the left of "Manual" to allow you to input manual settings.
Input the same information from the "Network Summary" into the fields for "IP Address", "Subnet Mask", and "Default Gateway".
Note- None of those fields should be "0.0.0.0"0 or "169.254.xx.xx". If they are, there maybe network issues with the printer.
In the "Preferred DNS Server" and "Alternate DNS Server", this could vary by the size of your network.
-Preferred DNS Server- If you are on a small network, input the same value as the "Default Gateway".
-Alternate DNS Server- If you are on a small network, input either "0.0.0.0" or "8.8.8.8."
Note- If you are on a domain, you may have specific DNS Server information that needs to be in the fields.
    Click "Apply" on the page.
Power the printer off and then on.
Try to enable Web Services again.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Error trying to set up web services/HP Connections (ePrint) for HP Envy 5530

I have been trying to set-up my new Envy 5530 printer and I can get the printer, computer, and wireless network to communicate with each other. However, when I try to get the printer and network to talk to each other to set up Web Services and HP Connections, the printer tries to download the latest product updates and has a server error saying it cannot connect to the server It wants me to check the connections or set a proxy server address. Also, when I try to get a claim code printed, I run into this same issue. Help!!

  • Cant enable ePrint web services for Color LaserJet M551

    Hi,
I've read all posts in this forum about the ePrint web services enabling issue and tried out all suggestions with no luck.
    Here is the situation:
The printer works fine locally. I can print without problem.
    The printer is wired.
All ports in my router are open for outbound connections, including UDP.
Using communication logs in my router I can see that the printer can resolve the DNS-names using either my ISP DNS-server or the suggested 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Using nslookup shows "registration-pro-site1print.houston.hp.com" resolves to 15.240.60.111 and "registration-pro-site2print.houston.hp.com" resolves to 15.201.224.79.
This indicates that the printer can indeed resolve the addresses. The logs also reveils that the printer communicates with the servers (connection established and data transferred) over https (probably the web service) but still after some minutes the enabling process times out.
I've tried this enabling procedure for several days now so my believe is that the registration servers should have worked some time during that period.
    I'm frustrated
    ....even more frustrated
    what am I doing wrong?

    Hi FredL50,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to learn how to update the firmware of your Laserjet M1217nfw printer.
Without a computer that runs a full Mac or Windows operating system, there is no way to update the printer’s firmware as neither support the download and installation of the HP Laserjet Firmware Update Utility. I have included the Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates document for reference.

  • How to Remove & Re-Enable Web Services on LaserJet printers supporting ePrint

If your LaserJet printer has been disconnected from or failed to connect to Web Services, you may need to power cycle your printer to reconnect.  If that does not resolve the problem, you can remove web services, wait 30 seconds, then re-enable web services to re-establish your connection to ePrint and Print Apps. Note: this last step will result in a new email address being assigned to your printer.
How do I remove HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to disable Web Services.
How do I enable or re-enable HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
To use HP ePrint, you must first enable HP Web Services.  Re-Enabling Web Services uses the same procedure as enabling the Web Services.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to enable Web Services.
When Web Services are enabled, ePrint information appears in the HP Embedded Web Server. Look for the e-mail address that is automatically assigned to the product. The product also prints an HP Web Services information sheet that contains this e-mail address and instructions
If you were unable to register your printer in www.hpeprintcenter.com within 24 hours of printing your information sheet, you must re-enable the printer code by reprinting your information sheet.  The information sheet will also provide your email address if you have forgotten it.
How do I print the Web Services Information Sheet for my LaserJet printer?
You can only add the printer to your HP ePrintCenter account within 24 hours after printing the information sheet.  You can re-print the information sheet at any time from the printer control panel.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Click the Print Information Sheet button.

    Hi John,
In your standalone client, use the following two properties to send a
user name and password to the service so that the client can
    authenticate itself: javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username
    javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password
    See the docs [1]

Try these steps  and check if printer connects to Web Services or not:
    1) Turn OFF the wireless radio
    2) Perform Restore Network defaults from the printer menu
    3) Turn OFF the printer and unplug the power cable from the back. Wait for 5 min
    4) Reconnect the power cable and turn ON the printer
    5) Run the wireless setup wizard from the printer menu.
    6) check if you are able to print and scan
    7) "Remove Web Services" from the printer menu and wait for 2 minutes
    8) "Enable Web Services" from the menu and wait.

    SQL> select object_type, count(*) from dba_objects where owner='XDB' group by object_type;
    OBJECT_TYPE COUNT(*)
    SEQUENCE 2
    PROCEDURE 5
    OPERATOR 8
    LOB 334
    LIBRARY 12
    PACKAGE 20
    PACKAGE BODY 17
    XML SCHEMA 25
    TYPE BODY 5
    TRIGGER 12
    TABLE 36
    INDEX 51
    FUNCTION 5
    INDEXTYPE 2
    VIEW 2
    TYPE 144
    16 rows selected.
Now in the links above it mentions that the xdbconfig.xml needs to be altered etc. However, I have searched the entire $ORACLE_HOME and there is no file definition of that description.
From a DBA prospective...what do I have to install on the Linux server? I assume from the Oracle Database 10g Companion Products I need to lay down Oracle HTTP Server in a new Oracle home as the first step...or not? Does the HTML DB need to be installed as well?
And for Configuring Web Services for Oracle XML DB...what else has to be installed? And from what product line?
    Thanks in Advance....
    Cheers

    Hi Marco...
First of all ...thanks for the reply.
I followed the link and the infor in that web page. However, there were a few things that did not work....
    1. The http://localhost:8080/ as is brought up a web page withe the heading as
    ==========
ORACLE DATABASE 10g EXPRESS EDITION LICENSE AGREEMENT..
    ==========
    The other browser test ftp://localhost:2100/
    did not find any page?
    2. Then I went onto running (as the sysdba) the pl/sql to enable the ORAWSV Entry Service
however it error out. So I did a describe on DBMS_XDB and the function deleteServlet does not appear
then I had a look and this link to > http://www.liberidu.com/blog/?p=471
was for 11G and the other link > http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369.pdf
    was for 11G.
    However, we are on 10G
    =================
    SQL> select * from V$version;
    BANNER
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bi
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.3.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
    ==================
So is there must be other sql for 10G?

  • Web Services for E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2

    Hello,
I am trying to enable Web Services based integration for Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2. Has anyone done this? Would it be possible to share some experience here?
    Thanks.
    Rahul

    Rahul,
Have a look at the new integration repository available at:
    http://irep.oracle.com.
Services in the repository are accessible as described in the
respository and using the EBusiness Suite adapter within
the Oracle BPEL Process Manager. BPEL PM "processes"
    are web services.
