Enabling Encryption Issue (MobleMe)

I have been trying to enable encryption for the past hour. Before I go into it I am on a Free 60 Day Trial of MobileMe. None of the following worked
1. I have deleted and recreated a certificate several times.
2. I deleted all the plists for com.apple.iChat.
3. I reduced the length of my password to < 16
iChat 5.0.3
I could not find any other suggestions. Is there something I am missing?
I do find it strange that the top window says AIM Buddy List. I setup the account by selecting MobileMe. It seems to want to default to my mobileme user name with .MAC when setting up the account. In the accounts settings it does show my mobile me account with the .me icon.

Encryption issue with Xperia Z2 - hangs intermittently - anyone come across this?

Hi all,
I'm on my second Z2, having returned my first for what I thought at the time may have been a hardware issue.
Basically the device intermittenlyhangs and the screen cannot be switched on with the power button on the side. It needs a reboot via the Power and Volume up buttons. I can reliably reproduce the hang by downloading one of the 6 free movies to my SD card, but it also happens intermittetly when I'm not using the phone. If it hangs during download, the charge rapidly drops (eg from 100% to 69% within 30 minutes) and the unit gets very hot.
I bellieve I've isolated this issue to enabling encryption for the device and SD card. Without these options enablied the device is rock solid. I have reproduced the issue on my replacement. phone. No apps other than those supplied out the box were installed at the time. Having subsequently removed encryption - a huge pain as it meant a factory reset , reformat of my SD card and re-download of the movies due to the DRM - the phone is rock solid once again.
Encryption is a standard feature of Android, which I've been using on my previous Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 with no problems whatsoever, so this is quite worrying if it is a bug. On a non related note - I disovered also that the backup application does not work if encryption is enabled.
Just wondering whether any other Z2 users on the forum have come across this issue so far?

Just posting a follow up.
I've done some testing and I seem to have narrowed the problem down to the use of the Sony Movies application with encryption enabled on the Z2.
If I launch the Movies application and start a download of one of the 6 free movies, and leave the phone alone, then it eventually hangs as I've described in my OP. If I press the Power button shortly after the hang happens the screen does not switch. If I hold the power button down the Z2 spontaneously reboots If however the phone has been in the hang state for a while then it can only be recovered by using the Power and Volume+ buttons.
The hang also occurs if I launch the Movies application and leave it running in the background. The phone eventually goes into the hang state. The battery charge rapidly drains down during the time the phone is in the hang state, losing 30% or more charge in a short time.
If I do not launch the Movies application then the phone appears stable with encryption enabled. If I do not enable encryption then the phone is rock solid. This behaviour has occured on my original Z2 and on the replacemement that my mobile operator sent me, as I orginally thought my first unit had a hardware problem.
I've sent a description of the issue to Sony via the "Contact us" link on Xperia Care Support. Hopefully this will be addressed.

Hard Drive Encryption Issue

This is in regard to hard drive encryption issues in my USB Hard drive. I have Windows 7. I was encrypting my USB hard drive and
was able to enter a password. However, I did not receive any prompt to save the Bitlocker recovery key. During encryption process, I received an error. The encryption process was unsuccessful. However, now when I plug-in the hard drive, I receive the
following message on the status bar:
Application and Device Control rule Block writing to removable media. Unencrypted drive found (No_Encrypted_Found) has blocked edpa.exe trying to access Volume
{e3901a75-f1ff-11e1-817c-806e6f6e6963 alpha-numeric number appearing here}
When I try to open the drive, it asks for a password. When I enter the password, I am receiving the following error message:
Bitlocker Drive Encryption failed to recover from an abruptly terminated conversion. This could be due to either all conversion logs being corrupted or the media
being write-protected.
I have read that Bitlocker repair tool can help resolve this issue.
However, I just have the password that I had set to encrypt the drive and Bitlocker recovery key identification. Can this help to get access to my hard drive data using the Bitlocker tool.

Can you help with encryption issue with iBook G3?

I have an iBook G3 with operating system 10.2.8. As of yesterday, I am having troubles connecting with my wireless service. It works fine when I plug the DSL cable in. The wireless icon shows up several networks; the one we are paying for is checked. Yahoo will not connect at all; some other websites will. I called our AT&T service and the tech support told me that it is an encryption error. Mac online support cannot help because the computer is too old and beyond warranty. I don't know what an encryption issue means. Can someone help? Thank you!

PowerShell Script to enable encryption

Hi All,
I am hoping I can get some assistance. I am looking to create a script that will do following:
1. Enable Encryption
2. Backup Encryption Key and/or TPM Data to specific location and specific file name: ex: Computer Name or FQDN
Is this possible?

Safe Harbour Encryption issue

I'm currently stuck on a issue with encryption. I've set up in General Settings Safe Harbor Encryption and also encryption for removable devices. On the USB drive I have no problems files get encrypted just fine. The issue is with Safe Harbor. Checked the option, restarted the computer, the folders are in the root of each drive, but no matter what file I put in there I can still read it. I tried logging out from Novell Client, logged on the same computer with other user and still I can see the content of the file. Any clues on this? The documentation on this is pretty straight forward.

It is WAD (working as designed).
The best way to test encryption is to share the safe harbor folder, and try to open the files from across the network.
You need to setup password encryption for the ZSC to ask the user for a second password in order to add a second layer of protection - if the user don't know this second password, then the ZSC will no decrypt the safe harbor's content.
I'm with you that the docs are not very rich when it comes to explain how encryption really works.

Any resolution to 10.4.10, wireless router/encryption issues?

Like many others, I upgraded to 10.4.10 and soon began experiencing connecting to the Internet problems on my ATT/2WIRE gateway/router using WEP encryption as well as kernel panics.
Having had my MBP for only two months, I did not have many files so I did a Erase/Install using the disks (v. 10.4.8) that came with the laptop. Immediately after this procedure, I updated to 10.4.9, did permission repairs. The gateway/router issue and the kernel panics with 10.4.10 were gone. Without having installed anything else, I did the combo update to 10.4.10 again (did permission repair before and after) and after the double reboot, I was able to reach the Internet. I then went on to battery and sure enough the Internet connection was lost after about 10 minutes. Then came the kernel panic. I resorted to doing another Erase/Install and updating only to 10.4.9 and since then, no problems at all, even on battery.
I've read through the discussions on this but did not see if there was a resolution. Would 10.4.10 v1.1 resolve this issue? Or is this something that 2WIRE would need to update their firmware?

Senario:
Need to manage 500 Enterprise iPads
Requirements;
1) Trackable via Find my iOS device (we have 500 iPads and with the 100 device limit per iCloud account for Find my iOS device limit we have 5+ iCloud accounts).
2) Individually named iPads for locating and sending commands to wipe, lost mode, etc.. on map per Find my iOS device (we uniquely name them in Apple Configurator either by using the "sequensetially numbering feature", or by creating individual back ups (yes, 450) with the name specified in the image).
3) Find my iOS device feature enabled in base Prepared or Supervised image (using one of our 5+ iCloud accounts) (image can be created during prepared stage, or in supervised stage) - tried both and have the same issue - which I am getting to...
4) VPP codes for paid apps (all VPP codes purchased with generic account which is the Apple Admin account for VPP purchases). Apple Configurator is set up under a different/ unique Apple account (i.e. not VPP admin account) and not logged into iTunes for any purchases/ services).
Issue: Can not do any following senarios;
A)
1) configure master iOS 7 iPad with iCloud account with Find my iOS feature enabled in Prepare stage (added during preparing stage)
2) configure master iOS 7 iPad with iCloud account with Find my iOS feature enabled in Supervised stage (added after supervising, and then backing up that supervised and iOS Find my iOS device enabled)
B) 1) Apply master image to any Supervised iPad (under senario step A) or senario step B)), including the (Supervised or/ Prepared iPad that was used to create the maset iOS 7 image
Result = fail with Apple generic code "4" ; This is obviously due to Find my iOS device feature enabled during image capture.
According to Apple (see Apple Config. Help) the 'Activation lock' (new feature in iOS 7) will not be enabled on a supervised device when an iCloud account with "Find my iDevice" is enabled. Their "help files" seem to imply after the device is Supervised, and a person (presumably and end user) adds thier own iCloud account with Find my iOS device enabled the activation lock is not enabled and erasing/ reconfiguring with Apple Configurator will not cause reimaging probhlems such as requiring the end user's credentials to reconfigure the device using Apple Configurator (i.e. you won't need the end user's credentials).
Needed: To be able to configure Supervised iPads with iCloud account (Enterprised owned iCloud account) configured on the basse image, which has Find my iOS device enabled, and to be able to apply that base image to all Enterprise iPads without generic apple error code 4 issue.

I am trying to replicate these steps in my environment but I am having trouble getting an iCloud backup restored to a supervised device. Can someone clarify the steps? The parts I am unsure on are:
1) Do you Prepare in Configurator with all the institution owned apps? Or do you install them after restoring the iCloud backup?
2) After entering the personal AppleID to restore the iCloud backup, the setup wizard prompts for the Institution/Configurator AppleID, there is an option to 'Skip Now'. Do you enter in the password for the institution account? or do you skip that step?
3) What exactly is on the screen in the 'mini setup assistant' after the restore when you Refresh with Configurator?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Email Enabled Calendar Issues

I have set up several email enabled calendars in SharePoint 2010. The users create meetings in Outlook and invite the SharePoint calendar using the email address set up for the calendar.
We are having some odd issues with recurring meetings. The meetings will show up in the SharePoint calendar when viewing in the browser, but are missing from the SharePoint calendar in Outlook.
If a user cancels one of the meetings in the series, the item shows as cancelled in the SharePoint calendar, but 3 blank calendar items are also created.
Any ideas?

According to your post, my understanding is that you had some issues with the SharePoint calendar.

Did the issue occur when click the F9? You can click the F9 to check whether it works.
If a user cancels one of the meetings in the series, the item shows as cancelled in the SharePoint calendar,

Did the issue occur in other calendars? You can create a new calendar to check whether it works.
Maybe the calendar had been corrupted.
Or you can also check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer” in the Search box.
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS

Transperant Data Encryption issue with database startup

Hi, I am trying to implemete TDE in oracle databse and have create encryption successfully too.
All the steps went on fine and encryption is working successfully.
now, I have an issue everytime when database shutdown and startup.

Enable encryption in WF notifications email

Hi,
We have a requriement where organization considers some data to be sensitive data for email notifications.
We need to send this data just like Send Secure feature available in Outlook in order to comply with our company policy.
Is there any integeration available in Oracle Workflow Notifications to enable notification contents to be send secured.
Also note we do not need to send every other notification as secured email only selected few.

Sooooo ... Notifications are delivered to a User and only visible to the user/users via a responsibility using eBusiness. However, if you have WF Mailer turned on, then it does get emailed. In that case, you can configure a notification mailer to connect to the SMTP server and IMAP server through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt the data exchanged.

Aaa authentication enable console issue

I have an ASA5505 running 8.2(5). It is configured with
aaa authentication telnet console xxxxxx LOCAL
and I am able to use my username and password to telnet in, but I then have to use the local enable password to get to privilege exec mode.
I tried configuring aaa authentication enable console xxxxxx LOCAL so that when I try to access privilege exec mode,I would be prompted for my password instead of the enable password, but it doesn't work.
I also tried removing the aaa authentication telnet console xxxxxx LOCAL and telenetted in with the local passwd.
I was prompted for a username and password when trying to get to priv exec mode, but again, the credentials did not work.
Could there be something that needs to be changed on the ACS server to make this work?

Crosstab - Enable Selection issue

Hello Everyone,
I have a cross tab with Summary data and have set - Enable Selection option true (which will enable rows selection).
Now I also have On Select script which picks up the selected value and pass it on to next table for detailed view based on selection.
When I do single click on the row in summary tab it will pick the value selected and pass to detail view for filter and it works fine.
Issue -
But when is double click the same row in summary tab it will not pass the correct value and show some wrong data.
Did any one faced this kind of issue?

Hi Rajan,
In crosstab the first click will select and the second click is deselect that particular row.
so when you double click it is selcting and deselecting, this might be the reason it's acting like that,

Disabled then enabled account issue....

Here is the issue I am having. There was an account that had been disabled. Today I went and enabled the account and tested it on one of my Windows XP sp3 PC's that has the 4.91sp5 client on it, was able to log in just fine. Just got a report that on a Windows 7 sp1 x64 PC using the Novell Clien 2 sp3 for Windows 7 (IR3) that the account is not being able to be logged in on using the account. The error that is given is a pop up Novell Security Message saying "Your account is disabled or expired! Contact your System Administrator." Behind the pop up is a error "Login failed Error code: 0x800789DC". I have tried this on other win7 PC x64 PC's and they all give the same error.
Background on our network we are obviously Novell shop running ZCM 11.1 and our servers are OES2.

Configure SSL enabled communication issue

Hi Experts,
I'm having this wierd issue.. Installed SharePoint like for the 10th time in my life or so. But this time when I was doing this "Configure SSL enabled communication" steps the Powershell window just hangs forever.

Yes I have set the particular proerty SSLAlwaysNegoClientCert to True and it is able to establish the ssl conneciton without initiating renegotiation from IIS server side.The property has to be set the metabase.xml file.
