Enabling Flash in Windows 8 & IE10

I was attempting to download QuickBooks on to my Windows 8 and Internet explorer 10 computer and it had a Flash Player error. I went through all the Microsoft & Quickbooks troubleshooting easures but t still won't work. Norton firewall may e blocking it but not sure what to do?

Adobe website says Firefox is installed. Works under Internet Explorer. But Firefox Options Plugins does not show either Flash or Shock. Adobe has different installers for IE and Firefox, because IE takes an ActiveX control and Firefox takes a plugin. You might need the second installer if you have never run it before.

Visit using Firefox and make sure to uncheck any unwanted extras.
After the installer downloads, you will need to run it. If that's where the problem is, you can try the "offline" installer that doesn't need to connect back to Adobe for more files and see whether that works better:

Choose one of the downloads for "Plugin-based browsers".

The audio still doesn't work.
Note that I tried to view a video that worked successfully about 2 months ago.
I called Adobe support and they said that the problem is with the video and not with the Flashplayer product.
I also don't get to hear audio on Youtube videos and I was able to hear audio on Youtube videos 2 months ago.
I have not installed any new hardware or software (just the Windows monthly updates).
What is the solution to this problem? I like watching and listening to Youtube videos.

The macromed flash folder in windows/sytem32 on this PC contains files with exactly same name/size as on other W8pro32 laptop where IE10 plays fash plays without problem
Have asked micsosoft support but not received a reply

Flash still not working after enabling it on windows 8.1?

I followed the instructions on the help section and enabled flash, however it is still not working. I then tried to download it and the page takes me to the instructions on how to enable it.
I have just bought a new laptop and it is fully updated with 8.1.
Any help would be appreciated.

Flash Player is actually built into Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and 8.1. There is nothing for you to download or install from Adobe.
From the description of the problem, it sounds like you're going to a website and getting a message that Flash Player cannot be found.
On most sites, there is JavaScript that determines what version of your browser and Flash are installed, so that it can determine what content to show you. In Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft changed the string that identifies Internet Explorer to those scripts, and it's very likely that the website you're visiting needs to make adjustments to accommodate the change. There will probably be a bumpy transition period as major web properties notice the problem and fix it.
In the meantime, Mike's suggestions are good. Use Compatibility Mode or an alternate browser. You may also want to contact the website (particularly if they're a small shop) to let them know about the problem. You're on the early end of the adoption curve, and they might need a head's up.

Internet Explorer 11 and Flash on Windows Server 2012 R2

I used Windows Server 2012 R2 which has built within it Internet Explorer version 11. When loading a web site which has Flash content it prompts me to install Flash, but when I navigate to the Flash download site it says I must enable it because it is already installed.
After reviewing the directions for How to Enable Flash, the directions become worthless because they don't match the screen that I see.
QUESTIONS:
Does IE Version 11 have Flash built in or not?
If if does, how do I enable Flash?
If it doesn't, how do I install Flash?
Please don't tell me to load a media-rich web site, and go to "Manage Add-Ons" and enable Flash because the enable Flash command doesn't show up.

The thing is... Adobe collaborates with MS on the updates for IE10 &11 in Win8 &8.1 (server 2012 also AFAIK) and then hands the code off to them. It's "Redmond's baby" after that. There's a KB in Windows updates (KB2898108) that prevents downloading the ActiveX plugin throug Adobe updater from here. Even if you manually download it, it'll prevent you from installing it. I have a Win 8 and Win 8.1 test machine set up and I've tried to uninstall the KB with no success.
Unfortunately I don't have a Server 2012 machine so it limits my troubleshooting. Chris Campbell has more insight into the ins and outs of Server 2012. Hopefully he'll add to this thread.

HI there, I am using IM6HD. I know there is a few issues with some of the slick plugins. As I am generating a title, a pop up window says I need flash enabled to do the title. In the advanced tab, there is no enable flash selection. I am using Quick time Pro latest update, thanks so much..Ileen

Thank you for your help. All of my Third Party Software is updated. I use IM6 and 7 and would like the option to utilize the capabilities of third party software. I did check with Gee three again, and they stated in their support page that as you stated the updated Quick Time is not supported. Not to bad, no option for using plugins with IM7, and no longer the option of using them totally with IM6 either. I suppose I saw that coming....Ileen

On your pc remove the rim device manager. Then reboot.
Connection the pb via USB and you should see a new cd drive select the setup and viola you should see the playbook as "z" drive.

Flash Player & Windows 8 on Samsung Notebook 3

I have a Samsung Notebook 3 with Windows 8 and i have the most current flash player installed but when I go to some TV channels online to catch up on shows like spike or comedy central, they won't play because either flash player is "not installed or it is disabled" even when I have gone through and enabled it. I've been having a problem with it since I got it less than a year ago. I've even made sure that the ActiveX filter is disabled but still nothing. Also, when i go to enable flash player, it comes up under an add-on tab called "microsoft third party application component" and it's called "shockwave flash object" if that helps at all.

Adobe Presenter is a plug-in application to MS PowerPoint that allows you to add video, audio, Flash and quiz content in to a presentation and then author it out as a Flash based presentation that can the be delivered to others via the web. You are asking about enabling Flash content. In what browser/application are you needing to enable Flash Content?
The 'Not a valid presenter' message is most likely due to you not have the rights to author content to Harvard's e-learning system, but without knowing if the URL is for a Connect account or some other e-learning platform, it's hard to give any useful insight.

Deploy a ear file from workshop-enabled weblogic on windows to solaris?

I built a java ear application on my workshop-enabled weblogic in windows OS. I need to deploy it over into a solaris weblogic system. Does anyone have any idea if this is feasibe (as i was under the impression that the solaris version of weblogic does not come with workshop) and if feasible, how i can go about doing it? Many thks!
