Hi Moe,
Licensing for Cisco Unified Mobility
This section contains information on licensing for Cisco Unified Mobility.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration Configuration Tips and GUI Changes
•System  > Licensing > License Unit Calculator—Displays a row for Mobility  Enabled End User (Adjunct), which displays the number of device license  units that are consumed and credited for adjunct devices that are used  specifically for Cisco Unified Mobility.
•User  Management > End User—Displays the Enable Mobility check box, which  triggers device license units to get consumed; works in conjunction with  the Primary User Device drop-down list box.
If you check the Enable Mobility check box and fail to choose an adjunct  device from the Primary User Device drop-down list box, four device  license units (DLUs) get consumed, as indicated in the Mobility Enabled  End Users row in the License Unit Calculation window.
If you enable Cisco Unified Mobility and later choose an adjunct device  from the Primary User Device drop-down list box, the system credits you  with two DLUs, as indicated in the Mobility Enabled End Users row in the  License Unit Calculation window.
•User  Management > End User—Displays the Primary User Device drop-down  list box, which controls the number of device license units that are  consumed for adjunct devices for Mobile Connect; works in conjunction  with the Enable Mobility check box in the End User Configuration window.
After you check the Enable Mobility check box, choose an adjunct device  that you want to assign to the user specifically for Cisco Unified  Mobility. For example, choose a device, such as a desktop phone, that  the user uses in addition to the cell phone for Cisco Unified Mobility.
Before you choose an adjunct device, consider the following information:
–Only devices that consume two or more device license units (DLUs) display in the drop-down list box.
–For  Cisco Unified Mobility, you cannot assign the same device to multiple  users, so only the devices that you can assign display in the drop-down  list box.
–If  you check the Enable Mobility check box and choose a device from the  drop-down list box, two DLUs get consumed, as indicated in the Mobility  Enabled End Users (Adjunct) row in the Licensing Unit Calculation  window.
–If  you delete the device from Cisco Unified Communications Manager  Administration or remove the assignment after you enable Mobile Connect,  two DLUs get consumed after you delete the device or remove the  assignment, as indicated in the Mobility Enabled End Users row in the  License Unit Calculation window.

  • Hi Team, I wuold like to know if you have any app to make Firefox OS working with cisco Call Manager 10.5. Something like Cisco Jabber for Android or iOS.

I'm interesting on buying a Firefox Smart Phone, but
I would like to know if are any app to install on Firefox OS smart phone in order to work with cisco call manager 10.5.
Something like Cisco Jabber for Android o iOS.
    Thanks,

    Hi Itech,
If Cisco Jabber has a webapp, or mobile version of their website available, you should technically be able to access it through Firefox OS.
You may also search Firefox Marketplace for an alternative solution:

Well, that is one idea that I've already had, Linc, but I'm reluctant to use the "nuclear option" for obvious reasons. I'm actually wondering now if the Secure Cert / OD problem is affecting Profile Manager. See this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23686348#23686348

  • CDR FIles in Call Manager version 7.1.5-30000

    Good Morning:
I have a cluster of servers Cisco Call Manager version 7.1.5.30000; 01 Publisher and 02 subscriber. The publisher server passes CDR files to a call accounting application PC-SYSTEL on another server. At one point the CDR files are no longer spend the Call Manager to the application PC-SYSTEL
Call manager services are reviewed, the part of CDR Management in Cisco Unified Serviciability right. The only solution is doing a RESTART to PUBLISHER server,  and then again go CDR files to the application PC-SYSTEL
Please anyone has any solution other than to give a RESTART PUBLISHER server, or is this the only way to restore this service.
    Expect your news.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
    Regards.
    Fernando.

    Hi Fernando,
    Please check the following.
    (1) Confirm that the billing server is configured correctly (verify the IP address). From the Cisco Unified Serviceability page, navigate to Tools > CDR Management to view the billing server parameters.
    (2) Check if you can ping the billing server from the Publisher. From the Publisher CLI, you can use the following command:
    utils network ping a.b.c.d
where a.b.c.d is the IP address of the billing server
    (3) Check if the FTP (or SFTP) service/software running on the billing server.
    (4) Check if the billing server is running out of disk-space.
    (5) Check if the CDR Respository Manager service is running on the Publisher. If not, start the CDR Repository Manager service.
    (6) On the Publisher, check the 'preserve' and 'destinationX' (X can be 1, 2 or 3) directories for CDR flat files. For example: if transfer of CDR files to billing server is broken from Jan 6th, then use the following commands:
    file list activelog /cm/cdr_repository/preserve/20110106
    file list activelog /cm/cdr_repository/destination1/20110106
(if multiple billing servers are configuration, the location will be similar to above, but the corresponding directories will be named destination2, destination3). This location contains symbolic links to files under preserve. CDR Repository Manager service uses these soft-links to determine what files need to be transfered to billing server.
If you don't observe files in either the 'preserve' or the 'destinationX' locations for the specific date, then it means that problem does not reside on the Publisher. Either the CDR records were not generated by the server that handled the call or it could mean that CDR Agent service on that server could not transfer flat files to the Publisher. Was the 'CDR Enabled Flag is enabled in CallManager service' enabled on that particular date ? Is the CDR Agent service running on the node that handled the call ?
If you observe files in the 'preserve' directory for the specific date, try restarting the CDR Repository Manager service on the Publisher. If the file transfer to the billing server does not commence, then set the trace level for the CDR Repository Manager service to Debug, wait 10 minutes, download CDR Repository Manager logs via RTMT and engage Cisco-TAC for further troubleshooting.

  • Cisco Call Manager Administration Page Drop down menu not working

I'm running the mobile app browser on my Xoom tablet and when I log into Cisco Call Manager Administration page I get the menu's but it will not pull down the options. The same issue happens in google chrome. I use your browser on my desktop and have no issues logging into Cisco Call Manager Administration page and getting the drop down menu's to appear but the mobile version of your browser is not working. Is there a work around? I tried changing the UAString to Desktop, iPad etc and the issue is still there.

Thanks but I've tried all that. It happens in Chrome also. I've tried Opera and it works on that. I've read other forums and it looks like a Java script issue that Chrome and now Firefox Mobile cannot seem to resolve. My preference is Firefox and I'm sure as more tablets get out then this will be solved at some point. I just don't know how it is prioritized. I do know that in order for Androids to be viable in the business sector they need to address issues like these with a higher priority.

  • Do I get full conference call management options on iPhone 6 model A1549 if using it with GSM carriers?

I have iPhone 6 model A1549, bought from and currently using with Verizon. You all must be aware that we can use the same phone for GSM carriers like at&t as well. Now we all know that some of the features related to conference calling are not available on CDMA carriers, like we cant have more than 2 callers, and we can't manage conference calls by making the conversation with one party private for some time and again switching back to conference mode, disconnecting a particular party instead of having to end the entire call etc. reference link- iPhone: Understanding phone features - Apple Support These features are available on GSM models and carriers, I just wanted to ask if I use a GSM SIM from a GSM carrier on this model, do I get these additional conference call management options or I am restricted to Verizon like experience while being on at&t (and while using the at&t SIM in this model)

Yes, I am dealing with this right now on at&t with a 6 plus. I've been down the same road as you. I got it to work with a windows phone yesterday but not my 6 plus when I switched back to the iPhone. My wifes 6 works fine. I believe it is an at&t issue and not an 8.3 issue. After dealing through several levels of support at at&t, they are telling me it has to do with their transition to hd voice. Some people are having this issue because they are updating their system and some peoples phone profile, on phones that have hd voice capabilities, are not getting added to their line and call forwarding will not work without it. I have a trouble ticket open to their engineering dept and they promise it will work for me on or before the 24th of april. Engineering has to build my phones profile so call forwarding will work with my iPhone.
This is frustrating because like you, I need to forward my calls because I have no signal in my office and need to forward to another phone so I can get my calls. If at&t would quit dragging their feet and enable wifi calling, this wouldn't be an issue for me. I would suggest you put more pressure on at&t and escalate this until it gets resolved. Or put your sim in a phone that does not have hd voice capability and see if it works then.
Good luck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this will be fixed for me on or before the 24th. We'll see.
EDIT: I see you did put it in another phone and it worked. That backs up that the issue is at&t and their hd voice upgrades. They had no explanation as to why some work and some don't, but have them make sure a profile for your phone is on the line. If not, they'll need to build one for the phone so that it''l work. At least that's the story for now. Like I said, I'll know more in a day or two.

  • Device Protocol in Call manager

    Hi,
While adding phone manually to cisco call manager I didn't have option to select SCCP.
It's taking SIP by default after giving the MAC address, Is there option to enable to choice of protocol back.

    Hi Puneet
Which phone are you trying to add. Some of the phones such 99XX series phones and then some from 89 series , 3905, 8831 and some others only support SIP , hence they do not give you option select  protocol while adding.
The one's which support both such as 7965,7975 etc ... can changed between sip and sccp by deleting and re-adding them to CUCM with correct protocol selection during the add process.

  • Is it possible to integrate Nokia E62 with Cisco Call Manager 4.x?

The Nokia E-61 can be integrated with Cisco Call manager 4.x using a Nokia Call Connect 1.0 client.
1.Is it possible to do the same with Nokia E62.If it can be done, what would be the requirements?
2.Is Nokia E-62 PDA a Cisco Compatible Extension device?

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. You are right in saying that nokia and cisco are increasing the number of models supported.Infact the E65 has already joined the club. But my point of interest is the nokia E62 in particular. This Nokia E62 device
    1) does not support WLAN interface(while E61,E65 does).
    2) It is not Cisco Commpatible extension device.(I did not find E62 in the list of Cisco Compatible extensions.chk out the attachments for more info).
3)It is not compatible with Nokia Intellisync CAll Connect 1.0(while E61 and E65 are compatible.chk out the attachment for more info).
I found this rather weird and i wondered if Nokia E62 can be integrated with Cisco Call manager ,especially a device which is not Cisco compatible. The only possibility i can see from your answer is that the Nokia E62 might not be SIP enabled(correct me if i am wrong here!)
My objective is to send a message from a CUAE script to a nokia E62 device. Please excuse me if my posting is not in the right place.i would be highly grateful to you if you could give me pointers to an appropiate location where i can get my queries answered.

  • Cisco Call Manager and LifeSize Endpoints

    Hello dear support community,
last week I asked which version of Cisco Call Manager supports BFCP (https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3966334).
Unfortunately I asked the wrong question.
As it turns out I just didn't need to know which version of Call Manager supports BFCP, which I know now, I also need to know if Call Manager is compatible with LifeSize systems?
Here is the setting, so you know what I'm dealing with:
The costumer uses Cisco Call Manager (Ver. 9.1) as SIP registrar for his LifeSize endpoints. The problem is, when he is making a video conference (via SIP) and he wants to share a presentation, the other side either sees him or the presentation, but not both.
We tried it with our Call Manager (Ver. 9.0) and some LifeSize endpoints. As soon as the LifeSize endpoint uses CUCM as SIP registrar, the option to share the presentation is completely gone.
I guess the costumer switched sources from cam to pc. That would explain why he just sees either video or presentation. But, as you might have guessed, it's not an acceptable solution for the costumer.
And yes, we made sure that BFCP is enabled for the endpoints.
So, what I'm asking myself and you is:
Is this known? And more important, is there a reliable workaround?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Best regards
    Tobias

I've been down this road and when I asked the question Lifesize's stance was that it wasn't supported by THEM. I pointed out that CUCM now supports line-side BFCP but they essentially shrugged their shoulders. Either they are blatently disabling content sharing by virtue of using a SIP Proxy or they have a priorietary SDP/header that CUCM isn't passing through.
Either you can call Lifesize and shake them up a bit or you can wireshark the SIP dialog to see what the codec asks CUCM before disabling the sharing button. Once you know that you might be able to use SIP transparancy to pass the header through.

Can a windows mobile 5 802 PDA with SIP capability be connected to a cisco call manager to use its voip ability like a soft phone? Is there a client program like skype that is needed that cisco provides to allow it to connect as a phone to the 7800 call manager?

It still ***** though, as "Double NAT" is also a reason for "Back to my Mac" not working properly, but how the ** am I supposed to avoid Double NAT when the wireless will not work in bridged mode?!
