Enabling scroll down bar in PDF reader

Hi,
Does anyone have any idea how to get the scroll down bar in text field in PDF Reader? I am unable to read the full text in the field without the scroll down bar.
Normally this should be a default feature?
Some background
I have a few text fields where the data to be displayed are governed by a dropdown list. So depending on what the users select there will be different texts in the field displayed. However for those long texts, when reading in PDF Reader there is no scroll down bar so I can't read the whole string of text.

Hi.
I have downloaded all the browsers on the web for iPad. Perfect Browser, Mercury Browser, Opera Mini. firefox and Google Chrome are not available for iPad.
It's the same problem with all.
I am sure all other iPad users must be having this very common problem. Since scrolling inside frames in web pages is very often required whenever you are browsing.
I have a brand new Mac air and a PC but in them the scroll bar is always available for inframe scrolling.
If you have an iPad, aren't you facing the same problem? Is the scroll down bar available to you when you visit the Apple communities page?
Thanks.

  • Catching scroll-down Event of PDF Document in Browser

    Hi Experts,
We have a BSP Application where we have a flag confirming that the user has accepted our terms and condistions (T&C). There is a link where T&C can be displayed as pdf within a new browser window. Our Business people require to ensure that the user has read the entire document. That means that the user must scroll down the entire PDF until end. After scrolling till the end, the (accept)-flag can be selected. As the T&C are in a new browser windwo we have to catch the scroll down event from pdf (till end of document) and get back to the calling application providing wherther the user scrolled down till the end or not. If yes the accept flag can be selected and user can proceed to the next registration level.
Do any body knows how to meet this requirement?
    Thank you
    Musti

    Hi Mustapha,
This can acheived by using Form Fields....by caputring the values after an event is triggered.
    Below is the sample code..
    data:
    lt_fields     TYPE     TIHTTPNVP
      ls_fields  LIKE LINE OF lt_fields,
    case event->id.
    when 'click'
        CALL METHOD request->get_form_fields
          CHANGING
            fields = lt_fields.
LOOP AT lt_fields INTO ls_fields WHERE name CS 'XXX'
                                                             AND  name CS 'XX'.
    ................Logic.................
    ................Logic.................
    ................Logic.................
    endloop.
    endcase.
hope this is helpful.let me know if you have any concern.
    Thanks

Have new update but when i am on trying to sync I have no scroll down bar to select option on the bottom of pages so sync is not done with all i want on it.  Using my arrow keys also dont work.  I have deleted itunes and reinstall but its still the same.  Any ideas?

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I have a single page project that I have unticked all the Toolbar Button options (via Webhelp) and now I can no longer scroll down the screen. If I enable the Toolbar Buttons\Content option I get the scrollbar back along with the unwanted lefthand side Contents column. Is there a way to have the scroll down with out Toolbar Button options??
    Thanks wowronin

    Hi Peter,
Sometimes you can't see the forrest for all the trees.
I was loading the project file which in turn loaded the file I wanted to display.
The solution was to just load the file I wanted to display and presto all is good.
    sorry ,

  • Enabling scroll down on a View

    Hi,
i have a View which is composed of a sample image(*.png) as well as a Table view (with 3 sections). Table view is below the image.
When i load this screen, since i have more data on the table view, some part of the table view goes done and not visible in the inital launch. Here i would like to scroll down (by pressing the screen down) to see the rest of the data. But this is not working for me.
If i have only the table view , scrolling down works fine ( since that is the scroll on the table view). But if i have the image as well on the View, scrolling down in not working.
can any pls tell me how to enable the scroll at the view level. i am missing something here.
    thanks.

  • In some websites, the caracters are not clear and impossible to read when I scroll down. I have to pass my mouse over it to clear the caracters.

It does that in my Hotmail inbox, my bank account web sites,...
It started to do that about a year of 2 ago. So I started to use Chrome instead. This morning I'm using Firefox because I saw they upgraded and I thought it would not do that again, but the problem is the same.
I open a website la my Hotmail account. The caracters are clear at this moment. Then, I scroll down, and I cannot read some lines of caracters. And it seems like the problem is sporadic. I added NoSquint, and the problem is the same.

  • Since updating Firefox, I do not get my folders or scroll down in my e-mail.

When I go into my e-mail, non of the folders show, and when I click on an e-mail, I can not scroll down in order to read the whole thing. So far, this is the only thing that I have noticed.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

  • Can't scroll down on PDF's or open in a reader

When I open a PDF on Safari (on iPad Air) it only ever shows the first page and there is no way of scrolling down. I have tried tapping on it etc to get the usual 'Open with' option but this never comes up. I have tried doing it directly from the link and opening in a new tab etc etc but there seems to be no way of reading the PDF on Safari or opening it in iBooks/Adobe. Can anyone help?

    Hi Thanks for the response.
I thought I had, but what seemed to be happening was that the Linked PDF was
adopting the full screen property of the original PDF. I'll give it another
    go and let you know.

Have you tried setting the initiall view properties of those PDFs to what
    you want?  Go File>Properties>Initial View.

  • All my pdf files are very slow to download, scroll down and/or read.

I am having difficulties opening any pdf files as it is very slow, does not scroll down easily and just plain cumbersome.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?  Additionally, as soon as I want to open the file, the fan on the cpu starts.  I am not sure if they are related, but it just happens all the time.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you verified speed via speedtest.net ?
Have you checked at different times?
Check istumbler or netstumbler to verify interference

I can't scroll down to read my ebook. I have to change pdf view after pressing pg dn to view the next page. Please help!

Sorted out the problem myself - secret is you have to go to Full Screen view to be able to scroll down. Easy as that - but not so apparent if you are new to this.

    == This happened ==
    Just once or twice
    == 2 days ago.

See also this article about caret browsing: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Scrolling_with_arrow_keys_no_longer_works
In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

  • My cursor isn't working on Firefox so I can't scroll down - I must manually hold vertical bar to move page - I've already tried troubleshooting - helped temporarily, but still problem now - cursor otherwise works on other servers

My cursor isn't working on Firefox, so I can't scroll down - I must manually hold the vertical bar to move page.

I have had this nagging problem several times. Each time more frustrating than the last.
'''PDF''''s. If you have a .pdf page open in Firefox (as often happens when looking at brochures and whatnot from websites) the mousepad side scroll function will not work. Plugging in an external usb device works just fine, making the situation that much more aggravating.
Simply close any windows or tabs from Firefox that are displaying .pdf's, and the blood pressure "should" return to normal values. If your blood pressure doesn't return to a satisfactory value, see your family doctor. He'll probably ensure your continued trust in Firefox is still better than any experience with explor.er.

  • A problem with my mail in 10.8, crashes on scrolling down a PDF doc

    Hey guys,
I've spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone today attempting to resolve this issue, fingers crossed an answer may be out there.
When I attached a PDF doc to an email, it embeds in the message, no dramas does take a little while to load it on, then when I scroll down the email to make sure it's the correct doc, the spinning curser of death shows and then 3-4 seconds later the email scrolls down but slowly loads sections of the PDF.  At times the mail app crashes when it does this.
It doesn't matter about the file size or amount of pages (one page 87kb, or 10mb 6 pages) it always 'skips' or 'freezes' even on sent items.
    I have:
unistalled Adobe, through my PDF's are all controlled by Preview
rebooted in safe mode etc and run by another user
done the whole CNTRL, OPT, SHIFT, P, R thing
hold down P and PWR and waited for 2 beeps
    plus everything else
New to MacBook etc and I'm about to throw it as I can't opperate like this and costs me deals!
Any help, hints etc would be appreciated.

Hi - I'd guess that the adapter you bought is the problem ...do you have another to try? Also, having a guitar cable plugged into an 1/8in. adapter into your Macbook isn't the greatest situation as it really doesn't take a lot of cable movement for there to be a LOT of pressure on that small jack - which could easily screw up the insides. If you do try another adapter I'd suggest one with a longish/small cable attached so that you can plug your guitar in and not have any force on the jack at all.
I too can get a signal this way (I have active pickups), and when I switch to the Macbook's speakers as the output the signal is delayed quite a bit. I use (and really recommend) the Griffin iMic for any real work with Garageband or the laptop in general - the USB signal is better, the cable doesn't pose a problem (as mentioned above) and if you're looking to record other sounds it can handle both line and mic levels ...and of course the price is great. The next real step up from this is a firewire interface of some type.

  • Option for saving a file as a pdf is not available in scroll down menu

I've been trying to save a file as a pdf by selecting print but pdf does not show up for one of the options in the scroll down menu. All I have to choose from is Fax, hp psc 1200 series and Microsoft XPS Document Writer. I was able to do this back in November but don't know why I can't now. I have Adobe Reader on my computer.
    Thanks if you can help.

Thank you so much! I figured out that somehow my PDF creator was gone. I've downloaded it again.
