Encoding in report

How can I type Vietnamese in the text box of the report.

CR handles Japanese and Chinese already (fully localized). I would think you would want to try it to see. I don't think that CR has been localized to Vietnamese just yet though.
Hope that helps.Â

  • Adobe Media Encoder Error Reporting

    I am currently running CS4 PP and recently had problems with AME. Error Reporting!!
    When I queue my projects to encode overnight, I tend to find out that the following morning AME will just have stopped encoding ten minutes into the encoding process with a green tick but the project will not be fully encoded. I then noticed that my system locks after every ten minutes and switches off the monitor to save power. I figured out that this is the problem. Now if I leave the monitor on thru the night AME will complete its job perfectly. Once again if I manually switch off the monitor completely, the computer locks again, regardless selecting 'turn off display' to 'never'. The error still comes up again.
    I don't remember having this problem before since working with SD footage. Three moths ago I purchased a matrox RT X2 and I am editing HDV footage which I will leave overnight for matrox codec to downscale it to SD for DVD delivery. The projects ranges up to 2 hours and may take between 3 to 5 hours to encode. I wouldn't like to leave my workstation area with blue lights of the monitor thru the night!
    What could be the problem here.

  • Bad initial encoding of report after WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT(MyURL,'_blank')

    Hi,
    I use Developer9iDS 9.0.2 with installed Patch1 on Win2000 with IE 6.0.
    I need an HTMLCSS report in lithuanian language and want to prewiev them in new window in browser with Baltic(Windows) encoding.
    When I produce my report with RUN_REPORT_OBJECT and parameters REPORT_DESFORMAT=HTMLCSS and REPORT_DESTYPE=CACHE
    I found, that my report is OK in cache with all needed lithuanian characters.
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=WINDOWS-1257">
    </head>
    <body dir=LTR bgcolor="#ffffff">
    </body></html>
    But when I open it with WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT (MyURL/getjobid'||vJobId||'?server=<myserver>,'_blank');
    my browser shows it in bad encoding for first time and every time I must set encoding manualy to Baltic(Windows).
    That's will be very difficult for my users!!!
    I found in source that another one HTML document stands at the begining of my document followed by my document

    I think, that first docume[i]Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

    Sorry, my question was ower 1 Kb. My question is:
    I am thinking, that additional document without META may be reason for bad initial encoding.
    Am I right? How can I suppress this first document? Is there another way for solution of this problem?
    Sorry for my english. Thanks for help!

  • Font encoding in report hmtlcss

    When I run report Ora9i, it always insert these lines into html file, so my page can not show the correct encoding character (I want to use Vietnamese Character but it show Western ISO-8859-1).
    Please tell me. Thanks.

    And I want to download patch 3 for report 9i, but not have metalink account.
    How can I do.

    HI,
    Yes, you are right. You will always first get:
    <html>
    <head>
    <base href="...">
    </head>
    </html>
    and then the second <html> tag that contains the actual report. However, I have tried it, and embedding the charset information inside the second <html> tag also has the desired effect. I would suggest that instead of UTF-8, you use your Vietnamese charset, put it in the before-report-escape value, and try.
    If this does not work, just remove the first <html> tag manually after the report output is generated, and open the file in the browser (just for testing purposes). Confirm whether this gives you the correct result. If this too does not give you correct result, it means the problem is not with the charset information, it is somewhere else.

  • XML Parsing attributes with encoded ampersand causes wrong order

    Hi all,
    I am writing in the forum first (because it could be that i am doing something wrong.... but i think it is a bug. Nonetheless, i thought i'd write my problem up here first.
    I am using Java 6, and this has been reproduced on both windows and linux.
    java version "1.6.0_03"
    Problem:
    read XML file into org.w3c.dom.Document.
    XML File has some attributes which contain ampersand. These are escaped as (i think) is prescribed by the rule of XML. For example:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
         <lang>
              <text dna="8233" ro="chisturi de plex coroid (&gt;=1.5 mm)" it="Cisti del plesso corioideo(&gt;=1.5mm)" tr="Koro&#305;d pleksus kisti (&gt;=1.5 mm)" pt_br="Cisto do plexo cor&oacute;ide (&gt;=1,5 mm)" de="Choroidplexus Zyste (&gt;=1,5 mm)" el="&Kappa;&#973;&sigma;&tau;&epsilon;&iota;&sigmaf; &chi;&omicron;&rho;&omicron;&epsilon;&iota;&delta;&omicron;&#973;&sigmaf; &pi;&lambda;&#941;&gamma;&mu;&alpha;&tau;&omicron;&sigmaf; (&gt;= 1.5 mm)" zh_cn="&#33033;&#32476;&#33180;&#22218;&#32959;&#65288;&gt;= 1.5 mm&#65289;" pt="Quisto do plexo coroideu (&gt;=1,5 mm)" bg="&#1050;&#1080;&#1089;&#1090;&#1072; &#1085;&#1072; &#1093;&#1086;&#1088;&#1080;&#1086;&#1080;&#1076;&#1085;&#1080;&#1103; &#1087;&#1083;&#1077;&#1082;&#1089;&#1091;&#1089; (&gt;= 1.5 mm)" fr="Kystes du plexus choroide (&gt;= 1,5 mm)" en="Choroid plexus cysts (&gt;=1.5 mm)" ru="&#1082;&#1080;&#1089;&#1090;&#1099; &#1089;&#1086;&#1089;&#1091;&#1076;&#1080;&#1089;&#1090;&#1099;&#1093; &#1089;&#1087;&#1083;&#1077;&#1090;&#1077;&#1085;&#1080;&#1081; (&gt;=1.5 mm)" es="Quiste del plexo coroideo (&gt;=1.5 mm)" ja="&#33032;&#32097;&#33180;&#22178;&#32990;&#65288;&gt;=1.5mm&#65289;" nl="Plexus choroidus cyste (&gt;= 1,5 mm)" />
    </lang>As you might understand, we need to have the fixed text '>' for later processing. (not the greater than symbol '>' but the escaped version of it).
    Therefore, I escape the ampersand (encode?) and leave the rest of the text as is. And so my > becomes >
    All ok?
    Symptom:
    in fetching attributes, for example by the getAttribute("en") type call, the wrong attribute values are fetched.
    Not only that, if i only read to Document instance, and write back to file, the attributes are shown mixed up.
    eg:
    dna: 8233, ro=chisturi de plex coroid (>=1.5 mm), en=&#1082;&#1080;&#1089;&#1090;&#1099; &#1089;&#1086;&#1089;&#1091;&#1076;&#1080;&#1089;&#1090;&#1099;&#1093; &#1089;&#1087;&#1083;&#1077;&#1090;&#1077;&#1085;&#1080;&#1081; (>=1, de=Choroidplexus Zyste (>=1,5 mm)Here you can see that 'en' is shown holding what looks like greek, ... (what is ru as a country-code anyway?) where it should have obviously had the english text that originally was associated with the attribute 'en'
    This seems very strange and unexpected to me. I would have thought that in escaping (encoding) the ampersand, i have fulfilled all requirements of me, and that should be that.
    There is also no error that seems to occur.... we simply get the wrong order when fetching attributes.
    Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a bug that should be submitted?
    Kind Regards, and thanks to all responders/readers.
    Sean
    p.s. previously I had not been escaping the ampersand. This meant that I lost my ampersand in fetching attributes, AND the attribute order was ALSO WRONG!
    In fact, the wrong order was what led me to read about how to correctly encode ampersand at all. I had been hoping that correctly encoding would fix the order problem, but it didn't.

    Hi kdgregory ,
    Firstly, sorry if there has been a misunderstanding on my part. If i did not reply to the question you raised, I appologise.
    In this 'reply' I hope not to risk further misunderstanding, and have simply given the most basic example which will cause the problem I am talking about, as well as short instructions on what XML to remove to make the problem disappear.
    Secondly, as this page seems to be displayed in ISO 8859-1, this is the reason the xml I have posted looks garbled. The xml is UTF-8. I have provided a link to the example xml file for the sample below
    [example xml file UTF-8|http://sean.freeshell.org/java/less2.xml]
    As for your most recent questions:
    Is it specified as an entity? To my knowledge (so far as my understanding of what an entity is) , yes, I am including entities in my xml. In my below example, the entities are the code for the greater than symbol. I am under the understanding that this is allowed in XML ??
    Is it an actual literal character (0xA0)? No, I am specifying 'greater than' entity (code?) in order to include the actual symbol in the end result. I am encoding it in form 'ampersand', 'g character', 't character', 'colon' in order for it to work, according to information I have read on various web pages. A quick google search will show you where I got such information from, example website: https://studio.tellme.com/general/xmlprimer.html
    Here is my sample program. It is longer than the one you kindly provided only because it prints out all attributes of the element it looks for. To use it, only change the name of the file it loads.
    I have given the xml code seperately so it can be easily copied and saved to file.
    Results you can expect from running this small test example?
    1. a mixed up list of attributes where attribute node name no longer matches its assigned attribute values (not for all attributes, but some).
    2. removing the attribute bg from the 'text' element will reduce most of these symptoms, but not all. Removing another attribute from the element will most likely make the end result look normal again.
    3. No exception is thrown by the presence of non xml characters.
    IMPORTANT!!! I have only just (unfortunately) noticed what this page does to my unicode characters... all the the international characters get turned into funny codes when previewed and viewed on this page.
    Whereas the only codes I am explicitly including in this XML is the greater than symbol. The rest were international characters.
    Perhaps that is the problem?
    Perhaps there is an international characters problem?
    I am quite sure that these characters are all UTF-8 because when I open up this xml file in firefox, It displays correctly, and in checking the character encoding, firefox reports UTF-8.
    In order to provide an un-garbled xml file, I will provide it at this link:
    link to xml file: [http://sean.freeshell.org/java/less2.xml]
    Again, sorry for any hassle and/or delay with my reply, or poor reply. I did not mean to waste anyones time.
    It will be appreciated however if an answer can be found for this problem. Chiefly,
    1. Is this a bug?
    2. Is the XML correct? (if not, then all those websites i've been reading are giving false information? )
    Kindest Regards,
    Sean

  • Polish characters in Report through Report Service

    Hi,
    I have problem with ias9i (9.0.2). Firstly, I have installed ias9i infrastructure and then ias9i businss logic and forms. Unfortunately when I'm running reports with polish fonts I see mysterious character which are not the same as I get used to see when everything is ok.
    In all Oracle_Home I have set the same NLS_LANG. When I see source of report (JSP page) I see polish fonts correctly. I also correct
    encoding to WINDOWS-1250. After I run this report using rwservlet when I see source of generated file I can notice WINDOWS-1250 but UTF-8.
    I don't understand this situation.
    If Someone has any idea how I can workaround this problem I will be grateful.
    Thank You for Interest

    Thre are two issue:
    1. When you have a web layout in report with different NLS_LANG other then the default, there was an issue where the NLS_LANG was not picked properly. For this, you need to go to web view enditor and change the character set to desired NLS_LANG you need. With this, when you run the report to web, you will get the proper characters.
    2. Coming to Report servlet, it picks the locale information from machine locale and NLS_LANG specified in Reports reistery is not considered. That is the reason, you end up with UTF-8 encoding, since report servlet writes the report output by setting the http header based on machine locale where oc4j is running. This issue is resolved in Reports 9.0.2.2 patch. With this patch, you can define the desired character set in the before report value in Report escape section of report property. This remain same as it was in Reports 6i. With this, you will see the proper characters in web html output and the auto encoding in browser will work fine.
    In case you wish to run the reports under different nls_lang setting from same report server, you can go for dynamic switching feature which is available from reports 9.0.2.1 patch.
    thanks

  • Repeated Failed or Media Not Found in Blu Ray Encode in Compressor 3.5

    I tried six burns using both Share and in Compressor.
    On five occasions, Create Disc launched before Compressor had completed the encode, and reported a "file not found" error message.
    This is on clean install of 10.5.8 to a fresh volume.
    I also disabled the quick cluster and received a failed burn as well.
    Brand new 8 core Mac with 12 GB/s of RAM.
    You can't get a cleaner system than this.
    Using a quad interface OWC blu ray burner with FW800 connection, and pro res 1080/24p footage. Except for the one try with Share, everything was export self contained.

    David,
    You might even want to reduce your instances to 4. The reason being is that often the intra-processor traffic can get congested when treating the cores as nodes (or even the virtuals) versus treating the processor itself as the node. I found that with the 8 core machines, the sweet spot for virtual clusters was 4 instances.
    Also, just did s set of BD and AVCHD burns from both FCP and Compressor with no issue.
    Lastly, in terms of visual feedback, the Create Disc icon in the dock provides a Toast-like progress display with the disc filling up from the center out.

    I am not quite sure what either of you are after, but if you hit the "Documentation" link on OTN you will find the documentation, such as the above list, for almost all of Oracle products. Most are available online in HTML format or PDF and some have a part number so that they can be ordered.
    The 10g Developer Suite Documentation is here: http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/dev10g.html

    ============================
    The communication with our TP is going well, we are able to send, receive messages over AS2 and send back MDN, but we are not able
    to receive their MDN.
    Edit:
    It seems that after the latest MLR patch, the error changed to [IPT_HttpSendError] HTTP encounters send error :. Premature EOF encounter but the roots seem to lead to the problem with MDN as B2B is sending the message a couple of times now and gives the mentioned EOF error.
    Please advise,
    Thank you

    Hi Ramesh,
    Yes, agreement uses AS2 IDentifiers. Incoming messages are recognized correctly, and we send back sync MDN that is correctly received by our TP. They also recieve our messages correctly although Oracle B2B does not recognize the MDN from them. I think that this causes that, now after applying the latest MLR patch, B2B tries to send it around 6 times and gives the Unexpected EOF error.
    Thank you for your help in advance,
    Kind regards,

  • TextEdit no longer opens iCloud docs

    I have been using TextEdit on iCloud for a long time. But suddenly when I try to open a file from the cloud it says it cannot open it. It shows me all the files, and in the Open File window I can click on a file, press the spacebar and see a preview of the file. It just won't open it. Any idea how to get around this?
    NOTE: I did just switch from a MacBookPro to an iMac, but I'm using the same iCloud account and, like I said, I can see and preview all the text files from the cloud, I just can't open them.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Sounds like there's something wrong with the file, though what that might be I'm not sure. I don't know enough about encodings to know, but sounds like there's probably a mismatch between the file's encoding and what the file claims its encoding is.
    Try opening it with [TextWrangler|http://www.barebones.com/products/TextWrangler>, then choose Edit -> Document Options and see what the encoding is reported to be there.

  • TextEdit no longer opens files it used to open just fine.

    Ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard, TextEdit has been giving me an error message when I try to open various text files: "The document “CRD-FONT.TXT” could not be opened. Text encoding Unicode (UTF-8) isn’t applicable."
    I wish I knew how to set TextEdit to open the file anyway. I am sure it can be done; it used to open these files just fine. The files didn't change.
    I had to download and install another company's editor just so I could open files that I used to work with in TextEdit. It's good to have the other editor, but it'd be great if TextEdit went back to being able to open these files without complaint.
    Is there a setting in prefs that would resolve this? I may have changed a setting without realizing it would cause this.

  • Live Video

    I am having trouble keeping a live stream working.  I am streaming live video & audio using FMLE 3.2 and FMIS 3.5.5.
    When I start the encoder things appear okay at first - no apparent error messages at the encoder, and multiple clients can connect successfully.
    However, after a "while" (sometimes a few minutes later, sometimes up to 30 minutes later), the stream freezes and/or stops.
    Checking the encoder log, I see lots of reconnection attempts:
    Network Status: NetConnection.Connect.Closed status
    Disconnected
    Re-establishing connection, attempt 1
    Reconnected to FMS/3,5,5,2004
    Stream[event613] Status: Success
    Network Command: onFCPublish
    Stream[event613] Status: NetStream.Publish.Start
    Although the encoder log reports success, I typically have mixed results with getting clients to reconnect again - sometimes the stream returns, sometimes not.  Sometimes clients are able to reconnect, but the stream often freezes again a few minutes later.
    Checking the server (via the Flash Media Admin Console "Live Log" tab) I see several "getStreamLength" errors:
    Accepted a connection from IP:192.168.2.1, referrer: http://[server]/media/player.swf, pageurl: http://[server]/media/event.asp?id=613
    Sending error message: Method not found (getStreamLength).

    I'm not sure if any of these logfiles contain anything helpful.  Any advice is appreciated!

    Below are a few sections of the log files from several different encoding sessions.  These things are pretty large - let me know if you need the whole thing.
    Sometimes I get "Unexpected error", sometimes not.  I can't find any reference to "RTMP buffer".  I've experimented with and without AutoAdjust (degrade).
    I'll look through the other log files - the undocumented logs that can be accessed via config.xml - to see if I can find anything.  What phrase should I look for?  Is "RTMP buffer" the exact message?  Those other logs make a *lot* of files. :-)

  • EPM Workspace EPM Inside Frame error- Please help ASAP!!

    Can someone please help me resolve below error with EPM-
    I've created resports in web analysis studio and am emailing smartcut URL to about 200 users. 3 of the users are getting below error-
    "EPM Workspace cannot function inside of a frame"
    pop ups are allowed; java is up to date; hyperion 11.1.2.1.102
    any tips?

    Hi,
    The document can be found in support.oracle.com
    I had pasted the contents though, which might be helpful
    After embedding a Financial Reporting (FR) report or Web Analysis (WA) report to a Planning Task List using the Smartcut url in the Planning, and then try to open the report through Task list in Workspace, you will get the following error:
    "EPM Workspace cannot function inside of a frame. Contact your system administrator."
    Cause
    This issue is caused by unpublished BUG 11854015 "ERROR OPENING PLANNING TASK LIST REPORT WITH "WITHNAV_GET"
    Solution
    Until a service fix is released to address this issue, the following workaround currently exists to resolve this issue:
    1. Use the below URL while specifying in the Smart Cut, http://server.example.com:19000/workspace/WorkspaceLaunch.jsp?uri=index.jsp%3fmodule%3dwksp.relatedcontent%26repository_path%3d%2Fmyfolder-name-here%2Fmy-report-name-here
    2. Replace myfolder-name-here with the name of the folder and my-report-name-here with the name of the report. The URL must be encoded.
    3. You must use %2F where you would use a slash in the repository path. You might also need to encode the report name due to the double-byte characters in the report name. The encoding for % is %25. So, if the character %8a appears in the SmartCut URL for the report, then the encoding for the URL above would be encoded %258a.
    Hope this helps,
    Thank you,
    Charles Babu J

  • SJS opens .xls file present on server as HTML in browser window

    Hello Everyone,
    I am facing a very different kind of problem here and have not been able to get any help. In my application I generate a report in .xls format and save it on the App Server. Problem arises when user tries to access this file from browser to download, as file opens in HTML format instead of opening it through ms-excel. I checked mime.types for mime mapping and it does have an entry for ext. type .xls.
    content of xls file shown on browser is somewhat like
    Encoder Productivity Report Date =T("10/05/2005") Makers ID Today Date Month To Date Year To Date Prinicipal Late Ext Total Prinicipal Late Ext Total Prinicipal Late Ext Total ADMIN 6 0 6 6 0 6 6 0 6 CURING1 1 0 1 1 0 1 1 0 1 CURING2 1 0 1 1 0 1
    Same thing works fine on IBM websphere... but i need to deploy it on SJS only.
    This is really becoming critical for me..... please help ASAP

    Hello Everyone,
    The problem got solved after update default-web.xml on app. server with mime mappings for .xls

  • PR and AME 8.1.0 Export H.264 Blu-ray Creates Malformed xmpses File

    Posting this here in PR, but this also applies to AME. The bug report was coded to AME. The only symptom may be upon import to Encore. See issue and bug report in this thread: Re: Re: Encore won't import markers with bluray vid output from Premiere through Media Encoder
    Bug report filed. This appears to affect H.264 Blu-ray exports from PR 8.1.0 directly or through AME 8.1.0. It does not affect MPEG2 Blu-ray. The only practical symptom identified so far is a failure of files to import to Encore without deleting the xmpses file, which results in loss of chapter markers. A possible workaround is to modify the xmpses file.
    Has this already been identified as a bug? Are there any other consequences?

    Hey Kevin -
    Having this issue on my new PC. I posted this on the Encore thread too but figured I'd update this thread as well. Hopefully the fix is coming in the next update (8.1.1?) Interestingly, I'm using 8.0.1 right now and I'm in my first week using my new PC (switched last week from long time Mac user) and both projects I exported had this issue. What's strange is that on my PC when exporting projects to the H264 Bluray format I get the xmpses and and xmp file whereas on the mac I only got the xmpses file. Even stranger is that I never had this issue on my Mac and when I bring in a project that I just exported using my mac into Encore on my PC it doesn't give the "error parsing MPEG..." message and all chapter markers come in just fine. These exports were just from last week using the same version of Premiere (8.0.1) I'm using AME 2014.1 though on this new PC whereas I can't remember on my mac if I had updated it yet to 2014.1  I don't think I did. Can't remember and I already wiped and sold it. Anyway, glad to hear the bug has been isolated and hope for a fix real soon. Thank you!
