  • My Ipod touch wont allow me to sync any apps from my itunes library. It also wont allow me to get into itunes from the ipod itself. So i downloaded some apps from the istore on my computer, but it wont allow me to sync them to the ipod. Please Help!?

My Ipod touch wont allow me to get into itunes. So I downloaded some apps through istore onto the itunes on my computer, yet it still wont allow me to sync them to my ipod. It doesnt even give me the option to do so. The only things syncing to my ipod are music and pictures. Can anyone please help me??

You need to restore the iPod on the new computer. You can only sync apps (and some other stuff) from different computers/libraries but you can manage music and some other stuff among different computers/libraries.
You need to restore you iPod and see the following regarding the pairing error message.

Hi, i have a canon 60d and i have been importing videos from it onto my mac for months but suddenly when i go on image capture or iphoto it no longer allows me to import them help!!!

Have you launched and tired Image Capture? When it's launched with the iPad connected the photos will display in the window.  Select those you want to upload and use the Import to: menu and select Other.  Navigate to the Desktop and select the folder you created to hold those photos.

  • Very slow Export to Media Encoder and Media Encoder connecting to dynamic link server

My flow is this: Open After Effects CC, import an image sequence, go to File > Export > Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue...
Every other time i do this it will take 2-3 mins before Media Encoder even shows the splash screen, then it'll take another 1-2 mins to open.
Next, I'll select my custom preset over on the right side of the window, then hit the Play button to begin encoding.  Sometimes nothing will happen at all, sometimes I'll see the Orange stripped bar on the lower left and the message Media Encoder connecting to dynamic link server and that'll last 5+ minutes and I end task to get out of AE and ME. Sometimes, ME will begin encoding right away and zip through the small animation sequence quickly without issue.
I have WIndows 7 Pro, I'm on a work network with access to the internet  and AE has been updated 24 days ago.  I have a subscription and I'm signed on.  However, sometimes I do not have the Creative-Cloud icon in my systray.
    Thanks,

Thanks.  I have 16GB Ram, 64bit Win7,  Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3970X @ 3.50GHz 3.50GHz.  AE is set to have maximum disk cache of 46GB. RAM reserved for other applications: 5GB RAM available for AE, PR, Pl, (some triangular icon [edit] which is ME ), Ps: 10GB. nothing else checked on that screen.
Typically just a mail client, 1 or 2 sessions of Firefox, 1 or 2 network folders open when i launch AE.
The last couple of times specifically, i had a 450 frame animation sequence at native 720p.  then i added a curves layer on top of it in AE, then added two ~600x300px  logos, one in each lower corner, then added a new solid layer which i used as a vignette. Finally over that i added a 720p still image which i held for another 15 seconds beyond the animation.
For the above, i ended-task, rebooted, brought it up again and it lauched ME quickly, then i got the stripped bar and connecting message until i ended task on that, then the 3rd time was the charm - everything opened quickly and it began to encode quickly.
The next three uses late afternoon yesterday were 150 frame animations at 480x270 and they all seemed to work fine.  I created the sequence in 3ds max, then closed and went into AE.  Then I'd close AE render another sequence, back into AE etc...

  • Issue with Pro Res sources when encoding in Media Encoder.

There seems to be a big issue with Pro Res sources in Media Encoder. I've noticed that when exporting using the 'software only' mode my graphics and titles look horrible, they are pixelated around the edges and the compression looks bad. This issue only happens when it's being made from a Pro Res source, if I make the exact same file Uncompressed this issue is resolved. If I use the 'Cuda' option (which I already know is the better option) this issue is resolved. The thing is, in a work environment not all of our systems are Cuda enabled and I would like to use Media Encoder as a exporting option overall. I love Media Encoder, it's fast and easy to use but this Pro Res issue is huge because the majority of the time we are working in Pro Res. I also did a test out of Avid Media Composer to Media Encoder, I sent a reference file referencing the Avid MXF material and the issue is gone, this seems to my knowledge to be a Pro Res only issue. The settings I am exporting to is 960 x 540 h.264 and also .mp4. This is coming from a 1080p source and yes I do have the 'maximum render quality' checked for best scaling. I understand that Software only vs Cuda and Open CL use different algorithms when scaling but this seems crazy to me that it would look  this much worse.
Anyways if somebody can please look into this that would be great, this seems to be an issue where I can't continue at this moment to use Media Encoder. Making my source files Uncompressed every time to do an export is just not a real workflow I want to do.
On a side note I've also recently noticed on a clip that had text over a grey background that there are lines going all down the screen evenly when exporting to even a non scaled 1080p .mp4. Once again, this issue goes away with any format but Pro Res. The weird part is this happens even with Cuda enabled. This is why I am thinking Media Encoder is having some sort of issue with the Pro Res codec.
I am on a current new 27'' fully loaded iMac with the latest Adobe CC updates.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    thank you

No, it is why advance users do not use the wizard.
Have a look at OpenOffice.org and its form creation. Once you add your fields in OpenOffice.org, just export to PDF and the form fields will be named just like you named in them in OpenOffice.org and the drop down values carry over.

  • Can't Edit While Encoding With Media Encoder

Does anyone else get this happening to them:
When I begin the encoding process with Media Encoder, then go back to editing in Premiere Pro CC, EVERY time I hit the space bar to play a clip, Media Encoder Pauses its Encoding. Then when I stop playing the clip in Premiere Pro, Encoder begins encoding again. I'm fairly positive that Adobe touts that you can be encoding and editing at the same  time, but I can't believe that this is happening. Anyone else?
Also, Encoder refuses to use my destination folder preference, instead targeting a folder I had used long ago and I have to manually target for every encode, every day.
    THANKS!!!

Encoding is a real CPU/disc hog ... heh, it's an intensive process. Trying to both encode and playback in real-time ... um ... if you've got a rig with say four CPU's with 128GB RAM, two really hot v-cards that the Adobe program actually love to play with, and all programs/cache/footage/outputs on RAIDed SSD internal drives, you can maybe do both at the same time.
Think about what playback is doing ... it's not just playing the video off the disc ... not hardly. It's taking bits of video from this spot on the disk, skipping to this section of another video file there, to that one here ... and while doing that it's also immediately "reading" whatever changes you've made in editing, whether sound, size changes, color/grading, masks, EVERYTHING ... and applying that to the video it's grabbing of a disc somewhere AS it is playing it. Using a ton of CPU, disc read/write throughput, and probably a chunk of the v-card's GPU & vRAM. What's left for AME to use?
I've seen a lot of complaints around here as to why editing playback isn't smooth ... hey, in VLC, play that file, it plays back easy, what the * is PrPro doing?
Um ... VLC is playing the "straight" file, PrPro is playing back the file with all the other stuff added to it ... which isn't yet added to the file in reality, it's only instructions as to what to do to the file. So ... PrPro is essentially doing much the same work as when AME renders to an output simply to play the file in the program monitor.

  • Encoded in Media Encoder, still says "un transcoded" in Encore Why?

    Hi,
I noticed that in Encore, the timeline that I encoded as an H.264 Blu-Ray file and imported into Encore as a timeline, needs Transcoding. It says "Untranscoded."
    Why is this?
I thought that once I encoded it in Media Encoder from Premiere Pro CS 5.5, and imported it into Encore, it should not need transcoding.
When I did encode it, all I did was make it an H.264 Blu-Ray, PCM Audio. The only thing I changed was the Target and Max bit rate.
    Did I do something wrong?
    Thanks in advance
    Media Encoder 5.5
    Premiere Pro CS 5.5
    Encore 5.1
    Mac OS x

    Hi Jeff,
    Thanks for the info.
I have a new problem concerning Disc Space.
I had all of my assets in Encore and everything was linked up and the menus were set. Encore said it was using 21.5 GB and about 3.5 was left over. (Obviously I am building a Blu-Ray Disc)
I thought that was good and I pressed Build and it started to make the Disc.
After a few hours of Building the disc, it stopped and a pop up dialog box came up and said "Code 25 - not enough Disc Space.". I was confused. I had a 25 GB Disc in there and, according to Encore, I was only using 21.5 GB.
I then decided to create a Blu-Ray ISO file to see how many GB that came out to be. The ISO file came out to be 25.75 GB (This is the exact project that Encore was saying was 21.5 GB) It's almost a 5 GB difference.
This is also why the "Code 25 - not enough Disc Space" dialog came up.
I recently found out, after I did all of this, that Encore has a bug in it that does not give the correct disc usage for a DVD or Blu-Ray.
So now, my only 2 choices are:
    1) re-encode my main 2 and half hour time with a little less Target and Max Bit Rate (which will make it lower in file and GB size), knowing it will be a bigger file once I bring it into Encore and Burn it or make it an ISO file to burn in Toast 11.
    or
    2) Use a Dual Layer BD Disc. Of course, This is the easier and faster solution.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance. I look forward to your thoughts on this.

  • Lightroom 4 wont allow me to import presets

My computer wouldnt stop annoying me to upgrade to windows 8.1 and so finally i did and there were no warnings to backup anything as well. But after it was all finished a lot of things i had to reinstall and one of those things were my presets. I know how to normally import them but Lightroom wont let me and says that "the preset file was the wrong type of preset". it's never done this before, so i'd like to know if im doing something wrong or what the problem is. Thanks

A few details about what you are doing and what is happening would be most helpful. In particular, if there is an error message please quote the complete error message word-for-word verbatim.
Also, please tell us what camera you have and what version of Lightroom you are using.

  • I do not have the people and media tabs to allow me to import photos from my iPhotos ,i only have the elive, quick,  guided and expert tabs, can anyone help please?

    Hi,
Im having problems importing from my iPhotos, i just bought photoshop elements 13 and mac book at the same time and am on a bit of a learning curve, i noticed that on all tutorials there were People and Media tabs which i cannot see, all i can see is elive, Quick, Guided and Expert, can anyone please help?
    Many Thanks In advance
    Nicol

Elements consists of two separate but interrelated programs: the editor, where you work on your photos, and the organizer, which you can use to organize them. You are looking in the editor. To see the organizer, click the organizer button in the welcome screen or at the bottom of the editor.
Now, do you want to keep your photos in iphoto or in the organizer? That's a choice you must make, sooner or later. The organizer does include a get photos from>iphoto command, but that will copy all the photos in your iphoto library to a new location and make organizer databases for the copies. Is that what you want to do, or do you want to use iphoto to organize your photos, in which case you would not use the PSE organizer?

  • Some tabs wont allow me to close them unless i restart the browser

Every time i open firefox the last tab that is open won't allow me to close it with out restarting the browser.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Media encoder status error CS4

I cant get my CS4 projects to encode!
Media encoder gives me a status error. (yellow triangle in the status column) When I open the text file I get:
    - Source File: C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Temp\denis final CS4_1.prproj
    - Output File: E:\Sequence 01.wav
    - Preset Used: Windows Waveform 48kHz 16-bit

    Other info:
    -Vista 64bit,
    -Adobe creative Suite CS4. Premiere CS4 4.1.0
-It wont encode anything, I've tried a few projects, the above one was an export of audio timeline.
-The project "denis final CS4.prproj" is actually in my "E:" drive
-A renamed project called "denis final CS4_1.prproj" (created by CS4 I assume) does in fact exist in "C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Temp\"
-I am unable to deactivate  Premiere CS4 . It allows me to deactivate successfully, but comes up active next time I run.
    Any ideas?
    thanks,

Here's what I get after a few minutes of being in the encoder.  Nothing actually starts encoding:
    - Source File: /Users/user/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/Wedding.prproj
    - Output File: /Users/user/Video/Projects/Wedding/DVD/_Wedding.mpg
    - Preset Used: Export Widescreen DVD 7Mbps CBR

Is there an error code in there?

  • Adobe Media Encoder can´t render out AE Ray-Trace Composition

    Hey,
AME can´t render out my composition (or sequence if i include the comp in a PP sequence) which includes some 3D stuff.
I am able to render it out in AE in a few minutes, preview it easily in AE and even in PP but i´m not able to render it out in AME or PP.
AME says it would take like 10+ Hours to render it and doesn´t come to an end.
I tried multiple encoding settings but nothing worked.
Also i checked, that cuda rendering is enabled in all my Adobe programs, but nothing helped...
    AE File .aep :
    Dropbox - Twitch Infovideo.aep
AME .epr Preset for encoding :
Dropbox - Media Encoder Error Test.epr
    Thanks for helping,
    Johannes

It raises another question: what settings do I need to encode the comp in 720p resolution without taking up lots of space?
Well, it depends on whether you need a production master (something for broadcast, for example, or to use as a source for other encoding tasks) or if you want a version for distribution. If it's the former, there's nothing wrong with "lots of space" - A Quicktime file with PNG or Animation codec is a good idea, but it will take a lot of space. If it's the latter, H264 is perfect but there's no built-in preset to take 720 material to the web.
    You could do this:
    * Pick the generic H264 template. You'll see that it will give an error if you attempt to render, because the default setting uses an H264 profile/level which doesn't let you use HD resolutions.
    * In the H264 video options, set the "Profile" menu to "Main" and "Level" to 4.0. That will keep it compatible to Quicktime and Flash player, while allowing larger frame sizes and higher bit rates.
    * Set Target Bitrate to 5-8 Mbps and Maximum Bitrate to 9-10 Mbps if you're targetting web delivery. That's a bit over what Apple uses for 720p content on the Apple TV, for example.
The H264 original preset will instruct you in the comment field to stretch to 640x480 in Output Module. There's no need, since you are using a profile/level combination which allows higher frame sizes.

  • CS4 Media Encoder Crash after rendering - two files, help?

I'm not a professional so I would appreciate any advice you can offer.  I was encoding a WMV HD video (edited in Premiere Pro from CS4) that was just under 2 hours long.  On an i7-920 with 9GB of RAM, it took just over 16 hours.  At the end of the encoding, the Media Encoder bar displayed 0:00:00 time left.  But it then froze at that point for about 30 minutes.  Then the program crashed.  I planned to take these WMV files and put them, via Encore, onto a dual-layer DVD with a few other special feature-related videos.
I now have two versions of the file in the destination folder, one that has the title I gave it and another that has a "._00_" before the title.  Both files are .wmv files and the one with the normal name is 6.64 GB whereas the one with the ._00_ before the name is 6.60 GB.  Both have problems if I try to play them beyond the 60% or so point.
Is there a way to salvage these files without another 16 hour render?
How long should I expect, on a normal/successful render, for Media Encoder to continue to process the file after the countdown reaches 0:00:00?
Thanks.  Any advice for this very untrained editor would be appreciated.

On the topic of opening a project on the exact same version of Premiere Pro CC 2014 (yes it is definitely up to date, and the 2014 version), to overcome this export crash problem that ZachHinchy has brought up - you can't. Technically speaking, one should easily be able to open a Premiere Pro CC 2014 project from one system on another system running the exact same up to date, legitimate version of Premiere Pro CC 2014 without any kind of error. But for some reason, this has been disallowed(?) by Adobe. It has facepalm written all over it. Does anyone agree that this is at least a little bit silly?
I have tried exporting a Final Cut Pro XML from my project to try and open the sequence at uni on a Mac, so I can render my project when I finish my edit. It half works - the clips are there, but the sequence is gone - i.e. 12 hours of painstaking sequencing and micro-edits that had me at several points in time wanting to insert my hand through my monitor with enough force to make a large hole. I really cannot afford redo this sequence, as my assignment is due tomorrow, and I have to work at 6 oclock in the morning, so I also cannot afford to stay up till the early hours of tomorrow morning. Wish me luck that some miraculous event has taken place overnight that will somehow allow me to just open my project, on the same version of Premiere, on a Mac, without hassle. (Apple OS is not friendly to anything but its own selfish nature, so I am having doubts).
Adobe please, if you can do anything at all to help, you will save my assignment, and my faith will be restored. Otherwise, I'll just get my money back and buy Final Cut instead.
    I cant even
If I find a way to fix either of these problems, I will post straight away.
