Encoding on mail. Pls help
Hi,
I am getting problem while sending some character thru javax.mail API.
I want to send message like �esky ������. When i set this message to MimeMessage it works fine. But in mail, it looks like }}} etcetc junk character.
Can anyone tell me on this.

Thank you very much !Make sure you save your source files in UTF-8 encoding without the BOM (byte order mark) signature. Notepad will insert the BOM at the beginning of a UTF-8 file, which chokes the javac compiler. I don't know about UltraEdit, but jEdit can.

Messages disappeared from my Hotmail Account after opening Mail-pls help!!

I put hotmail to my apple mail through a pop3 connection. I guess it copied all of my mails from my hotmail inbox to my apple inbox and then deleted them from my hotmail account. However, this was not my intention, I would still like to check my e-mail history through a web browser remotely (ie from my phone or another computer) but they have disappeared and now my hotmail inbox is empty!!! This happened yesterday! There were over 3500 e-mails, is it possible to get them transferred back from Mail to my hotmail account?

My e-mails worked last night but this morning it did not. My aol emails work just fine only the att mails do not open up.

Mailbox of my user can only send message but can't recieve message. My server is installed by Netscape Messaging Server 4.2.
-I used the command reconstruct this mail box but no OK.
-After I delete user on DS by console
-and then mboxutil -d user/muoitv/INBOX
-And the last I create a new user which have the same userid . but the result is bad, it 's the same (no OK to get mail)
-Especialy is if I create the difference userid . This Mail box is OK and if I create the same userid =muoitv .It ' s not OK.

URGENT! PLS HELP... using JAMES as mail server
hi, first of all... happy new year to everyone...
i am currently developing a web based application and one of the component in the system is using JAMES as mail server. I am done some modification in config.xml in JAMES, now the problem is i can only send internal mails instead of external one, such as hotmail and yahoo.
The error occurs as below:-
RemoteDelivery: Exception delivering message (Mail1041375079561-0-!448616653-to-hotmail.com) - Could not connect to SMTP host: hotmail.com, port: 25
How can i send mails to hotmail and yahoo users or any other external mail?
Can anyone pls help me to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.sounds like a network problem rather than a JAMES problem. Have you confirmed that you can ping the hotmail mail server, and then that you can "telnet" in to it on port 25?
If you have a windows machine handy, you can find out the IP address of hotmail's primary mail server by using nslookup:
C:\>nslookup
set type=MX
hotmail.comIf you don't get anything from this, it would indicate a DNS problem. Once you have the IP address, try to telnet to it on port 25:
C:\>telnet 65.54.254.129 25

If you aren't able to connect, it's probably either a firewall at your end blocking outbound TCP traffic on port 25 (or possibly all ports), or a DNS issue, or some sort of routing issue with your ISP -
Apple id lost. Cannot get Access to it. Started with a mail from apple id saying that apple id and password were changed. Did not sent such a request myself. Since then no acces to apple id, not even via forgot my id site. It says that my apple id and birth date details do not match. Something is obviosly totally wrong. Got a visa card recently, is that the reason? Cannot get a new apple id with my real address as the systems says its already used. Pls help, I am vey frustated that this can happen.

Java Web Start- Cannot launch Application. Pls help

Ia m beginner in java web start. I creaate a simple swing application and try to launch it through web start. But I failed. My application jar file (sample.jar)contains only class files. No menifest file. Then I sign my "sample.jar" file and placed inside tomcat server: "webapps/root/WebStart/Sample". Not getting PO printed while using bursting pls help
Hi All,
Working on converting PO report to XML. While using bursting to print the pdf file the document is not sent to the printer..
But in the output file of the "XML Publisher Report Bursting Program" getting success.
Not sure why report output is not sent to the printer.

if it is changed to 3011193 then only different SO.

the files should be in 'your home folder' library, esp.
if you use Mail application.... ~/Library/Mail
Since you don't specify what mail application,
that would most be associated with the file.

Its already late to post this problem.pls help me urgently.
I have a servlet & two jsp's. first i request servlet, it processes something and forwards request to my first jsp. In that jsp on a button click, i'm displaying a new popup by calling showModalDialog. this dialog gets data from the same servlet but it forwards to my second jsp.(second jsp can be seen in dialog)
Now if i submit form from my second(dialog) jsp, the servlet reports that session has expired. I tried a lot but invain. any one who helps me is appreciated well by all of our forum.

In J2EE, the first time your browser makes a request to the server, the server responds and appends a SESSION_ID parameter to the request as well as storing a cookie with the SESSION_ID.
The second time your browser makes a request, the server checks for the cookie. If it doesn't exist it checks for the parameter. If neither exist the server assumes its the first time your browser has made a request and behaves as describe in the previous paragraph.
In your case when you submit the form if you have disabled cookies and the action attribute doesn't have the SESSION_ID paramter appended to the url, the browser will assume it's a first request. The user will not be logged in, hence your session has expired error.
To fix this you need to encode the URL in your JSP. You can use the struts html:rewrite tag or the HttpServletReponse.encodeURL method, or if you're using JSP 2.0 the JSTL c:url tag. -
