Encore 2 WT8-B264 Camera Roll Question

How do I move photos that I've taken with the tablet from the Camera Roll to a file that can be uploaded to my computer or at least copy the photos?  I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.
Solved!

Pictures you've taken will be stored in the Pictures folder. From the Desktop, open "This PC," then open the "Pictures" folder and the "Camera Roll" folder. You could then e-mail those to yourself.

• Taking iPhone from PC to Mac - Camera Roll question!

OK, I have an iPhone 3GS that is sync'd with iTunes on my PC. I have created a new iTunes library on my new Mac and would like to transfer the phone to be synced with this. When I connect the iPhone to the Mac it asks if I would like to "Erase and Sync", which I'm happy to do, I agreed this and it then stated that the phone was registered to another iTunes account and would I be happy to change it to the account on this library (it must be the same iTunes account as I only have one.)
Now I don't mind anything being deleted or restarted, but the only thng I really REALLY dont want to lose is my Camera Roll. Can anyone explain what will happen to this if I go ahead an sync it all to the new Mac?

Set up iTunes on your new Mac. Log into your iTunes account (under the "store" menu).
GO TO THE PREFERENCES AND DISABLE AUTOMATIC SYNCING FOR IPOD'S AND IPHONES!!
While you're in there, select the option to "copy music to my iTunes Library" and "Keep iTunes Library Organized". (or whatever is called, I can't remember and since I'm copying files to mine right now, I can't check the menu)
Copy all your music, movies, apps, podcasts etc. over to the new iTunes on the Mac (you can copy everything to an external drive and then just drop it in the iTunes window where your "music" would normally be displayed. iTunes will copy it all to the proper locations in your new Mac.
Now when you plug in your iPhone it will show up in iTunes and you can right click, control click, double finger tap, whatever you decide to use on your iPhone's icon to access the contextual menu and select Backup. This will start the process of backing up your iPhone on your new computer. After you back it up, you should be able to sync without fear of losing all your texts and such. The only thing I don't know is if you can copy the Library files and such from the PC to the Mac so you can keep your playlists. I'm pretty sure it doesn't go the other way as I just tried to do it migrating my iTunes to a new Windows 7 install. If I remember correctly, iTunes may ask you some questions about adding the iPhone to that iTunes account but I know you will be able to back up before anything gets changed, I just bought a new MacBook Pro and had to go through it myself.
This exact same thing happens when you move from one Mac to another, as I just did, except I can copy my Library files and thus don't lose any playlists either.
Good Luck

• HT4236 Camera roll question

I can not update to ios7 because there isn't enough space on my iphone5.  My photos  take up almost 7 gig of space.  It is because my camera roll has a year's worth of photos on it.  How do I make that smaller?  I have looked and can't find it.  When I sync to my mac I don't have anything checked that is in the iphoto library.  I chose keep photos each time I sync my phone to my computer so that I have them in both places.

You’re doing nothing wrong at all.
A Roll is an Import. If you import one pic or a hundred each import is a Roll.
However you can move photos between Rolls, you can rename rolls, edit them, create them, as long as you do it via the iPhoto Window. Check out the Info Pane (wee 'i', lower left) the name and date fields are editable.

• IPad Camera Roll Question

I have some wallpapers on the Camera Roll of my iPad that I'd like to transfer to my iPod Touch. I can't seem to find them in iPhoto on my MacBook unless the iPad is connected to it. Is there a way to accomplish this? (I've tried finding the same wallpapers using my iPod Touch but no joy.)
TIA, Judie
I just figured it out. Thanks anyway!

I'm sorry, wasn't thinking I guess.
Apparently the wallpapers saved to the "Camera Roll" of the iPod Touch and iPad do not go to the iPhoto library. At least I couldn't find them. (These are wallpapers that I had downloaded directly to each device. I had saved different wallpapers on each device, not to my MacBook. I had decided I wanted a particular wallpaper on my iPad that was already on my iPod Touch and that I couldn't find again on the internet.) This is the point when I posted my message for help. I then went back to iPhoto to search some more, with my iPod Touch connected. That was when I first noticed that my iPod Touch was in the source list (the list on the left). When I clicked on that, all my wallpapers appeared. I then clicked on the "Import" button (bottom right of iPhoto) and voila! The wallpaper I was looking for now appeared in iPhoto. I then synced up my iPad in iTunes and reopened iPhoto. Then I chose "Latest Import" in the source list and loaded it into the iPad. (It's sounding way more complicated than it really is.)

• Camera roll question

If I have an email with a couple pictures in it and I want to put them in my library each pictures goes into it's own roll. The same thing happens when I download from pictures from my camera or my iphone.
I know have over 100 rolls and in each roll is 1 picture.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

• Encore WT8-A vs. Encore 2 WT8-B

June 16, Toshiba Japan released a Standard Edition of the dynabook tab S38 (overseas model Encore 2 WT8-B), having USB2.0, 32/64GB eMMC, 2GB RAM (a single channel), GPS and gyroscopes and Bluetooth; Changes: the weight is reduced to 385g (estimated at the battery minished), the processor is z3735F (a shrunken version), losing HDMI-out, Realtek WiFi 2.4 Ghz only, OS Win8.1 Bing, reduced of the manufacturing cost. The S38 (WT8-B) is a lower model is below the VT484 (WT8-A), which is shrank, but the initial prices will be roughly flat to the VT484 (WT8-A), while the VT484 (WT8-A) is still selling in period recently.
Besides the S38 (WT8-B), Toshiba overseas also have another version WT8-B z3735G of the low spec Windows Tablet. By American B2C's webpage has showing up the Encore 2 WT8-B32CN, z3735G, 1GB RAM, no GPS. Note the suffix "CN" - is the cheapest version is a China Edition? The really retail price is likely US $100 - 150.
We have seen the three versions from US B2C: Encore 2 WT8-B264, Encore 2 WT8-B232, Encore 2 WT8-B32CN.
The VT484/WT8-A gotten the decent components and parts inside, Atom z3740 comes with dual channel memory (2x64bit) maximal 4GB, which the VT484/WT8-A employs 2x1GB modules, say the WLan, Bluetooth and GNSS are all of Broadcom chips, and WiFi supports for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
However, the S38/WT8-B is with cheap Atom z3735F even also the lowest specs z3735G, a single channel memory module merely, 1x64bit or even 1x32bit 1GB limited; with the cheapest low-end chips come from Formosan vender, like Realtek WiFi module, etc...
Undoubtedly, Toshiba must compete against knockoff Windows tablets by deteriorating of the market conditions, like Samsung selling at the 50 USD Android phone competes against knockoff phones, otherwise unable to survive. The east Asia's knockoff flooded around and diffused into worldwide, this region has knockoff superpower.
Look at the other side, Intel and MS wanted to take through the knockoff workshops to compete against ARM and Android, whereas the knockoff Androids already flooded up everywhere.
I had bought the WT8-A 64GB, and wait for the next WT8-A, in the end of 2015 or 2016? Wanted the best is 8.5 - 8.7 inches (16:10).

Currently these 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablets, Toshiba WT8-A 32GB/64GB ( dynabook tab VT484) is still a better choice, but not Encore 2 WT8-B or Encore 7 mini.
Also, I suggest and recommend Toshiba to take these low-end tablets Encore 7 Mini, Encore 2 WT8-B 32CN, Encore 2 WT8-B 232 (dynabook tab S38/32GB) going to some large life supermarkets (Wal-mart), and sell it to those moms, like selling rice cookers and ovens, maybe it's effect better.

At 1.3GB available, your storage space is getting very thin no matter what you do further.  As long as you have the photo's in the camera roll saved on your computer you can delete them.  Just make sure first that they are in your photo software.  If updating in iTunes, just backup/sync first, then update, and that will save the camera roll in the backup as well.
At only 1.3GB you eventually are going to find yourself unable to install or update some app, or unable to take any new pictures, or some other limitation that will force you to free up space anyway.  So now, before updating, sounds like a good time to make sure everything is backed up or stored somewhere else, and clean house a bit, then update.

• Camera Roll/Photo Stream Questions

A few CR/PS Questions. I have automatic transfer to PS enabled on iPhone 4S, husband's iPhone5 and iMac all using same appleID/iCloud account.
1) When I edit a picture in a camera roll and save it, the edited version (which is the one I want) does not show up in PhotoStream. Any way to make this happen?
2) If I take a bad picture and delete it from CR, it still shows up in PS. Do I have to delete it from BOTH CR and PS separately or is there a way to do this simultaneously? Additionally, is there a time frame in which I can delete from CR before it shows up in PS?
3) PS Events on iMac: Once created (April 2013 for example), can I split and create my own events without fearing the pics will ever be deleted from iMac?
4) Is there ever any time there is an advanatge to editing a picture in PS vs CR on an iOS device?

re: 1, I typically don't edit photos from within the Photo app, but I tried a couple things just now.
If I edit an existing photo in CR which has previously been uploaded to PS, then the CR version gets replaced with the edited version but that does not get pushed to PS.
If I disconnect from Wi-Fi and take a new photo and then edit it in CR, then once I get back on Wi-Fi the edited version does get pushed to PS.  Not the best workaround, but it works.
Alternatively, if I use a 3rd party editor (e.g. Photo Toaster) to edit an existing photo in CR which has previously been uploaded to CR, then the edited version is saved in CR and gets pushed to PS.  This may be the better way to do your editing since it seems that the native Photo app does not accomplish what you want.

• Developer question.  App for camera roll and airplay

TUAW posted an article today about using the private API for streaming video over AirPlay which apple does not currently allow for 3rd party developers. AirPlay can only be audio for us right now. In it, the article shows a 1 line code for MPMoviePlayerController that can allow this for any video.
self.movieController = [[[MPMoviePlayerController alloc] initWithContentURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:CINDY_PATH]] autorelease];
[movieController setAllowsWirelessPlayback:YES];
movieController.view.frame = self.view.bounds;
[self.view addSubview:movieController.view];
My question is, how would one go about to write an app that can gain access to the Camera Roll videos, begin playing it, and put in this code to allow for streaming videos shot with the iPhone to the Apple TV2? I know that it can't go in the AppStore, I really just want something I can use personally to instantly put videos up on the screen of my 1 year old son. Any ideas?

Just installed and tested the updates for the iPhone 4 and ATV.
When airplaying videos from the iPhone 4 to ATV, all videos in the iPod App, videos section, can be airplayed with no problem. However, for videos in the "photos" app (ie: videos you've recently taken with your iPhone camera), there is simply no airplay button. The still photos have an airplay button, and can be airplayed to your ATV with no problem. But the videos cannot. This is odd and disappointing for me, because this was the feature I was most excited about: Taking a video of my 7-month-old son with my iPhone 4 at one point during the day, then airplaying it to the ATV to show my wife and others later in the day, without having to bother to synch my iphone to my computer, put the video into iTunes, and navigate to it on the ATV.

• Why can't I delete pictures off of camera roll. I also can't send a picture to a friends phone. One last question.......why do pictures freeze up on the screen and I have to hit the power button to go back to home screen. Thanks for any help.

Why can't I delete pictures off of camera roll?  I also can't send Pictures to someone else's phone. My picture seems to freeze up and I can't do anything, particularly delete the picture. I'm new to iPhone so I'm really just learning how this iphone thing works :)

Did you recently start using iCloud to backup your photos?
Wife had the same problem today.  Remembering that I had recently signed her up for more space on iCloud and started backing up her photos, I decided to roll the dice and turn that off.  Plug phone back into computer and *boom* I now have the option to delete.  Now I just have to figure out how I can do both = \

• Question about the camera roll in photos

Every once in awhile, the camera roll slides up under the ALBUMS heading and I can't click on it to open my photos. A couple of my friends have the same issue. It's happened to me 3 times now. It seems to be after I do an update.
I'm on a 3GS.
Anyone know what I can do to fix this so I can scroll through those shots?
Thanks in advance,
K

I have just captured video from my built in isight. apple saya it is not supported, but i have found a way to fool it.
step 1 turn on imoviehd
step 2. turn on (external)video camera (one you have hooked up to the computer) i movie will recognize this
step 3 once camera is recognized, turn the camera off, (from your camera not the computer.)
imovie will switch over to using the isight camera. then you can record.

• AiO remote can't send multiple photos to camera roll

After scanning 25 photos using AiO remote I want to send them to camera roll, but have to send each photo one at a time?
I can press edit which allows me to select all, but this does nothing, except DELETE? Also can't email multiples or send them to Dropbox in multiples, is that weird or what?
Any know how to contact HP about this? It does need fixing.
This question was solved.

@StanTheManII
Thank you for your feedback regarding the AiO app. I will be sure to direct this to the AiO app team.
In answer to your questions....
The app is working as designed. There is no current option to allow to multiple seletions to be copied to the gallery. The current design is to be done one at a time.
When emailing an attachment, you need to:
         1. make sure that your email is set up
         2. tap the share button while viewing the image, document or saved file
         3. tap email, compe and send the meail message
This allows for only the one image, document or file to be attached to the email. Again, the app is working as designed.
Again, I will direct your feedback regarding the additional features to the AiO app. Thank you for taking the time to post.

• The difference between Camera Roll and Photo Library

I am a bit confused.  I have, on my iPhone, pictures in 3 places: Camera Roll, Photo Library, and Photo Stream.  I am not sure why iPhone make these distinctions but I want them all to end up in one place: my iMac central photo library.
I  only have 3 devices, an iPhone an iPad and a desktop iMac.  I manually sync my photos to my computer from my iPhone, and do not really worry that all photos get to all devices immediately.  My question is this: How do I make sure ALL the photos from my iPhohe end up in my 'main' photo library on my iMac? Without causing duplicates.   It seems like some of the iPhone photo storage locations sync and some do not; occasionally I get a ton of duplicates.  It is confusing and I was hoping someone could help me streamline it. I know the iCloud is trying to make things easier, but sometimes it does not seem that way
Thanks!

• How can I find/sync my old iPhone camera roll photos?

I've searched about 5 different ways here on the forums and can't find an answer to this question. I recently upgraded my iPhone 3Gs to an iPhone 4. I backed up the old phone and just sold it a couple of days ago. Here's my problem: I can't find the folder containing my (old) camera roll photos so I can sync them to my new iPhone. I'm aware that iTunes doesn't back up camera roll photos, however I understand they are saved as part of the standard backup process. Are they included in the "iPod Photo Cache" and, if so, can I use this to copy them onto my new phone? Note that I was unaware until today that I can save camera roll photos on my PC using Windows Camera and Scanner or Adobe Photoshop; I'll start doing that tonight so I'll have them in a separate folder from now on. I'm running Windows Vista on my PC, FYI.
Thanks,
Steve

Is there a way for me to save what's currently on my phone?
No. If you restore your new phone from a previous backup, all data on your phone will be erased & replaced with the data from your backup. However, if you don't want to do that you can see if this will recover the photos in question from your 3GS backup:

• Camera Roll becomes pixelated?

Hey there, ever since updating my iphone 3gs to iOS 5, I have noticed that whenever I look at my camera roll the pictures are extremely pixelated. What I tend to notice is that when I take the picture it turns out fine as if nothing were wrong, but when I exit out of the camera and photo app and re-open it, the pictures are all very blury... Now i shouldn't say that ALL the pictures are blurry, because any picture that I have taken or saved onto my phone from iOS 5 are the ones that are turning out blurry. Yes thats correct. None of the pictures from iOS 3 and 4 are pixelated, only iOS 5 ones... I have also noticed that some pictures that are taken end up being grey and have a question mark on it... I have no idea if this is due to iCloud or simply a bug in iOS 5, but if anyone has any idea on how to fix this or what the problem is, please let me know! Thanks!

This worked!
summary:
Download an iphoneexplorer -http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/download-pc.php
go to photodata folder, delete this files,
com.apple.photos.caches_metadata.plist
Photos.sqlite
PhotosAux.sqlite
That's it.

This fix worked like a charm:

It gives you a step by step-solution which was fairly simple to follow. Afterwards, my camera app works again just fine and I have no problems viewing my pictures.
And best of all, no restore or factory restore needed!
