Encore CS 6 Won't Open Up???? "Non Royalty Serialized Mode?????

I bought Premiere Pro CS 6 and that program works fine. Encore does not open. All it says is:
"Adobe Encore CS6 cannot run in non-royalty serialized mode. The application needs to be serialized with a royalty bearing serial number."
How can I get this program to open up so I can use it?

So, after looking at the Encore page, came across this gem of information:
Encore CS6 is supported on Microsoft® Windows® 7 with Service Pack 1 (64 bit) and Mac OS X v10.6.8 or
v10.7. Please note that Encore CS6 support for future operating system updates or new hardware
platforms will not be provided.
We are currently using OS X 10.8.5 with the intent of updating to Mavericks come Christmas Break in a couple of weeks.

This is an activation issue. its solution has changed over time. Assuming you have a cloud subscription, see this.

I just purchased a monthly subscription license for Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5, which comes bundled with Encore. Premiere runs perfectly, but when I try to run Encore, I get the following error:
Adobe Encore CS5.1 cannot run in non-royalty serialized mode. The application needs to be serialized with a royalty bearing serial number.
I intend to make a DVD and BluRay of my project when it's finished, so I need Encore to work. Any ideas why this may be? It was my understanding that the license I purchased would allow for full function of Encore as well as Premiere.

Not sure what is the current policy here, but in any case - serial number/ licensing problems can only be handled by phone support or live web chat. If you need a different serial to get this working, that is way to go...

I have done everything recommended in all of the other threads relating to this issue -
Uninstalled the entire CS and used the Adobe cleaner tool - to no avail.
Uninstalled just Encore and re-installed, nothing.
And multiple combinations of the above mentioned.
Really need this to work, ASAP. We've tried to contact Adobe via phone, chat, and other means. They are very to receive an audience from, it appears. Can anyone offer a different solution?
This is for a brand new edit suite that is running Windows 7 pro, 32 GB of RAM, and the [email protected] GHz.

I did not see this earlier. Forums are a bit odd today.
Do you have a subscription (to the cloud) or is this a perpetual license? You cannot run Encore in trial mode.
Generally, with CS6 suite (or earlier?) this indicated that Premiere is not activated, or there is a problem with activation. What version are you trying to install?

I installed 3.6 and now FF won't open even in the safe mode. I restored my computer setting back to where I was running 3.5.13 but it still doesn't work...some files must have been deleted when I upgraded that weren't put back even when going back to the older version but I have no idea what to look for or what to do even if I find them. Using system restore can create problems as well as solving them. I have seen system restore destroy a Firefox setup. The installation may be OK but to be sure perform a clean install

If Firefox still does not start, try creating a new profile folder. Firefox stores user data in a profile folder, creating a new profile will show if the problem is with the old profile. If the new profile works, you can copy selected data such as bookmarks and passwords to the new profile. CS6 AFX Network Render Node - Can't enable non-royalty bearing mode.

I have found many many threads saying to place this text file in these locations:
To enable non-royalty bearing mode: Place a blank file named ae_render_only_node.txt into one of the following locations, depending on the user account type:
Install After Effects on the render-only machine.

But, it's not working for me. I try to open AE render engine and it just tells me my trial is up. I've dropped that text file in just about every file you can imagine, even ones that probably don't need it.
What am I missing?

I'm getting the feeling that since I didn't put the .txt file in the proper location prior to my trial expiring, the software never even gets to the point that it can check for it.

Encore CS4 Suddenly Won't Open

I use Encore CS4 everyday. I just used it to render & burn a DVD and it worked perfectly. I closed Encore and tried to reopen it but it crashed. After a few seconds I got the Crash Report window saying that Encore has unexpectedly quit. I rebooted the computer and tried 3 more times and all I get is the Crash Report. I reinstalled Encore but the same thing happened. All my other CS4 programs work fine. I tried again to reinstall Encore, but now the CS4 Installer hangs during the initalization process and just stops.
AMD Phenom 9600 Quad Core, 3.20 GHz, 3.25 GB RAM, Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 3.

Your post #2 indicates that something is seriously wrong at the suite and maybe even the system level.
When was the last time you cleaned out all your temp files? Scanned for viruses and trojans? Used the system file checker to see if all your critical Windows files are uncorrupted? Cleaned the Media Cache Database from either Pr or AE? Tried trashing your preferences for En (and maybe Pr)?
Any, all or none of those things may help. But the fact that you can't uninstall a program from Add/Remove programs indicates problems way beyond the fact that En won't open. Hopefully you'll find a quick fix, but you should consider a full system format and reinstall as soon as time permits.

Updated. See 3 new Qs at bottom...After XP system restore back to earlier FF version, FF won't open, it's in safe mode. How can it be opened out of safe mode? Can precious, previous History be retreived?

THIS IS A RE-POST OF THE QUESTIONS previously posted, PREVIOUSLY POSTED, now adding a request that 3 new summary questions--at the bottom--be answered.
NOTE: I specifically need answers to the 3 new, summary Qs now posted at the bottom of the Sequence of Events:
Sequence of events:
1) I was using Version 3.6.22 and I needed to
upgrade to Version 6.0.
2) Before beginning, I set a restore point in Windows XP so that in case I did not like 6.0, I could go back to the restore point which contained
3.6.22 and I would stick with that version.
3) I did not uninstall 3.6.22 but loaded 6.0 on top of it, so to speak, thinking that would save my history and other features such as bookmarks. Opening 6.0 I was horrified to see it did not contain my history files!...so I had to go back to 3.6.22.
4) After returning back to the restore point that contained 3.6.22, on the desktop, clicking on the Firefox icon, it won't open.
5) I went to desktop, in lower left clicked Start, then clicked Programs, and yes Firefox is there as an installed program, however the tag reads Mozilla Firefox (safe mode)...so it's in safe mode and won't
open. What now?---~~~~~(end of original post).
HERE ARE THE EXACT 3 Qs I need answered:
1) Can I retreive and save MY PRECIOUS HISTORY from somewhere? Can I force new 6.0 to find and retreive it from 3.6.22) And how would I do that? That's the reason I'm trying to go back to 3.6.22, because it likely still contains my history which does not appear in new install of 6.0?
2) As it stands, go back to previous state now has Firefox 3.6.22 in safe mode. It won't open after XP went back to previous state containing 3.6.22. File tree says Firefox is installed but is now in safe mode. So Q2 is: Can I open Firefox out of safe mode and if so how?--I'd be done because it likely still contains my history.
And if not, can I get retreive my history from it somehow? Or somehow get 6.0 to rediscover it hidden somewhere (Show All History in new 6.0 install was empty).
3) Do I have to give up on retreiving my history even though it's got to be somewhere in my computer? I did not uninstall anything.
If my history cannot be retreived, then I have no choice but to proceed in life with 6.0 without my precious History, a huge store of info and loss of data for me, big time!
FIREFOX HELP NEEDS TO TELL PEOPLE HOW TO SAVE THEIR HISTORY WHEN THEY UPGRADE TO NEW VERSION and whether or not to uninstall previous FF version first. Please pass this urgent advice on to Firefox techs. I can't even figure out how to email THEM!!!!

What in particular didn't you like about Firefox 6?
You can undo a lot of changes, either via changing settings or prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page or via extensions.

Do a clean reinstall of the version that you want to use.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Encore CS6 project won't open "end of file" error

Hi everybody,
Today I was testing taking a Blu-Ray authored project and down-converting to a DVD. Before doing that work I decided to do a SAVE AS to duplicate the project so as not to screw up the project I had already started. While doing the SAVE AS Encore hung up and I had to force quit. Now I'm getting this error when I try to open the original project again:
"endoffile"
I can't seem to figure out a way around this. I really need this project back because of all the time I took reformatting the text subtitles in it! Does anybody have experience with this project error?

Rule of thumb for Encore is that you are unlikely to recover from a corrupt project.
If you could figure out what file is the problem, and it was one you could repair, that might work, but what are the chances...?

Adobe CC won't open plus none of my other apps won't open!

Today... i click audtition to learn the basics. and it says "windows cannot access the specific device,path,file...." ect.
so now i'm really ticked honestly. Ive encountered about.. 12 different errors and problems. all the way from not even being able to open creative cloud, then wouldn't install correctly, then wouldn't open, uninstalled... then i couldn't reinstall cause it said it was still installed, then dynamiclink something or other. and then like i said today wouldn't open. i looked and looked and have found nothing that helps and only makes me go to other issues and this and that and i'm getting nowhere! i just uninstalled speed grade to install again and it wouldn't update. creative cloud that is. so i can't install again. so i try uninstalling creative cloud to install again then it said "uninstalled complete with errors" (something like that) then i went to the adobe website to try to download from there... it downloads for 2 seconds then says "opening desktop" and nothing happens....
so long story short, problem right after another, can't open ANY adobe whatever. and the cleaner tool i downloaded isn't even opening correctly and nothing is working!!!
I'm seriously considering cancelling my purchase for CC. but i would still have to pay for another year!... I can't fix anything nothing is working i'm getting really mad and extremely fustrated!!!! I NEED help cause nothing i'm doing is working and i'm freaking out!!

When ever I try and login to my exchange account on Safari it says it can't connect to the account to the account and to call the administrator, but then i tried tologin again and it worked. Anyway I then tried my contacts and it is still not working.

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

Firefox won't open in normal or safe mode.

I get a crash report each time when I try to open it normally, nothing happens when I type in the extension for safe mode. Because I can't open safe mode, the Mozilla troubleshooting guideliens cannot help me. I'm working from Windows vista, have all current updates to Windows, and have scanned my computer.

Lightroom 5 won't open, always asks for serial number

I just bought Lightroom and the installation went without problems. I entered the serial number and then tried to open the program for the first time but instead of opening it's always aksing me to enter the serial number.
