Encore CS5 and 5.1 audio to Blu Ray not working

I have a premiere project that, with the exception of a welcome title card, is one video track of *.m2v and one audio track of AC3 5.1. The master volume track is 5.1 as is the audio 1 track. When I use dynamic link to sent this to encore, it always produces a blu-ray that is dolby stereo and not dolby 5.1
Any ideas?

I was going to give up but then I succeeded in creating a 5.1 audio mix on the blu ray by:
1 Not using Premiere at all
2. Creating a new blu ray project in Encore
3. Importing the AC3 audio file as an asset first
4. Right clicking on the AC3 and using it to create the timeline
5. Importing the quicktime video only file as an asset and adding that to the timeline
6. Building the blu-ray
7. I imported the/stream file on the Blu-ray itself into Premiere so that I could see the wave forms and it was a 5.1 track.
Works.

audio status/video status under view of the menu bar are ticked. ( i noticed this happened after i added "appleut01" AIM and did a test call. grayed out prior to said test call)

Lets check a few more things.
Some things are blocked from you changing them if the Mac User Account you are using has Parental Controls turned On.
To Show Buddies with Video and Audio icons several places should be checked.
1) with iChat Open go to the View Menu. In here both Show Video Status and Show Audio Status should be ticked (Selecting it will toggle the tick On or Off)
2) In the Video Menu the Camera Enabled item and the Microphone Enabled one should also have ticks.
3) (we Looked already) The Connection Doctor should say you can Video or Audio Chat as well as whether you can 4 way Video chat and 10 Way Audio Chat.
4) In the iChat Menu > Preferences > Video Section the Bandwidth Limit should not be set too low.
At least the 500kbps setting is needed to do 4 Way Video Chats.
It can also be useful to use this setting if your Internet Connection is much faster but varies a lot.
5) Parental Controls will stop you Adding Buddies, adding new Screen Names/Accounts in the iChat Preferences, altering several things about existing Accounts/Screen Names that have been set up.
If a Buddy has a Video or Audio iCon and it is a pale green them they are Busy.
If 1) are set then you should have an Video icon next to your Own Buddy pic in the header part of the Buddy List window. (Whether it shows Audio or Video will depend on 2)
What shows in 3) will depend on the other settings and what Internet Speed and hardware you actually have.
6) IF the settings are On for the camera then we need to know if the System can "See" the camera.
Go to the Apple icon Menu top Left. Click About this Mac.
Click More info to Open the System Profiler
Use the Reveal Triangles to see the Hardware list then USB.
Does this list the Camera connected to one of the Buses ? (you may need to click the items in the panes on the right to see the info you need)
It should list the details such as serial number, Maker, Firmware (possibly) and speed.

CS5 Encore won't burn m4v on Verbatim Blu-Ray disk?

I have CS5 and Pioneer BD-RW BDR-206 (Firmware 1.04) burner drives and made my first Blu-Ray program in Premiere CS5 and exported it as Blu-Ray format (m4v), but when trying to burn it on my system, Encore CS5 doesn't recognize the blank disk (Verbatim HardCoat BD-R 25GB, 6x) and keeps asking for a disk.
I put in a regular DVD and it recorded to it without problems...but it wasn't Blu-Ray.
What's going on? I must be making a 'simple' mistake somewhere. Thanks for your help.

Hmm... I don't know if it is possible for other software to allow Encore to "see" a drive as DVD but not BluRay, but some reading that may lead to a cure
As well as the below, right click the Encore icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a dual layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

What's the difference between CS5, Encore CS5, and On Location CS5?

I'm about to launch my trial software and try some video editing, and clicking the desktop icon, I'm presented with 3 folders (besides the "Read Me" files): Adobe CS5, Adobe Encore CS5, and Adobe On Location CS5. I want to know the difference between the three so I know which one to open and start editing my videos. Sorry if I'm being dumb, but I'm a newbie to video editing.

OK, thanks. That helps. It's what I guessed, but don't understand how this happened or why I would want it (others might, but I never did).
But I want all my contacts to sync. How to I go about this? I don't want a bunch of dups, but I guess I'd accept that if I can easily delete the dups on the desktop (likely tedious on iPhone). As I said in the original posting for some reason some the iMac contacts are missing the address (can't imagine at some point they weren't there).
How did this happen in the first place? Maybe doesn't matter now, but would like to avoid it in the future.

Can you get chapters out of PP into Encore if it is a DD5.1 Blu-Ray?

This is a minor item however annoying.
I make 5.1 DD audio HD Blu-Ray discs. Therefore, I cannot use dynamic link (cannot believe this is STILL not fixed even in CS5, but anyway...) so I have to export my video and audio out of P Pro (I use CS4) and then import into Encore.
Am I correct that however I import into Encore:
1) As an asset into Encore separately for both the 5.1 audio and video and the select both and right click to create a timeline.
or
2) Import the Video (with no audio) directly as a timeline and then import the 5.1 audio as an asset and add it to the timeline.
Regardless, neither method keeps the chapter marks that were made in P Pro. Again, not a big deal but it would be nice.
It is so frustrating that as Adobe touts their 5.1 and Blu-Ray capability that they have still have not made it seamless with dynamic link.

Thanks. I will try the dynamic link for my next 5.1 project.
As far as minor edits, I am transcoding once I "think" I am done in P Pro and then importing into Encore a separate audio and video stream. But, if I miss something an don't notice it unitl I am in Encore or the disc is made, I have to as you say go back to the original and then fix it in Pr Pro, re-transcode and re-import into Encore.
My understanding is with Dynamic Link I would have the added benefit of not having to do that because then the transcoding WILL take place in Encore.
As far as feature request, I would be less worried about chapter marks carrying over than having an integrated dynamic link process for 5.1 projects.

Questions on a Audio Only Blu Ray w/slideshow

I'm a professional mastering engineer our company is going to release it's first Surround project on Blu Ray it's going to be a Classical music piece. Need some direction on a few things in Encore CS6.
The audio files are going to be processed through DTS-HD MA at 5.0 24/96 resolution/lossless, I have toyed with Encore on the authoring end but I'd rather find a good layout to follow so it can be as easy as possible, below are some of the questions I have if anybody can point me in the right direction i would be grateful.
I have 19 tracks in the project and also a slideshow that has to follow the chapter/track stops so they coincide with the music so let's say track 1 has three photos then track 2 might have what would be the best way to do this, a slideshow and run the music in duration with the slideshow ? or put the photos in a timeline and adjust them to the tracks there?
What would be the best way to import the audio would it be one big file (it's a little over an hour long) or split the file into tracks which would make 19 files for each track. (using the DTS suite this is relatively easy)
Does Encore need a video to process the blue ray properly or what i intend to do inside the spec of blu ray?
How do you end the timeline is there an end marker like you have in audio when you end the album or is there a different way?
I have a ton more questions but these are the most important. If anybody has a better method or has done something like this before please respond.

Encore has too many issues with slideshows: create the slideshow (i.e. it will have no manual advance options) separately, and time it there.
That also makes your question about a no video bluray moot.
A timeline has an end action, so not a marker as such. You just set the end action.

First time editing a project with HD, and then burning it to Blu-ray

Hey there everyone.
*Newbie to HD editing alert.
I have two problems regarding HD editing/export.
I've been scouring the forums for several days, and I can't find a specific answer to what I need/want to know. Some things are understandable to a degree, and then there are things that seem way over my head.
(One thing, I've read about third-party programs like Cineform, and such, and was told that those programs aren't really necessary. So, if there's some way to stay away from them, I'd like your suggestions on that. However, if in the end, that's the way I need to go for this to work, then I guess I will have to go that route).
This is my first attempt at capturing and editing in HDV, so please excuse my ignorance if I refer to something in the wrong context.
My main goal:
To edit an HD wedding, shot with Sony FX-1 HD camera, and burn it to a Blu-ray disk.
Here is the computer system that I'm working with:
Dell Precision M6300; Intel Core 2 Duo T7700; 2.40 GHz 800Mhz; 4MB L2 Cache; Dual Core
Operating System: Windows XP PRO SP3;
- 4.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 2 DIMM Dell Precision M4300
- NVIDIA QUADRO FX1600M 512MB TurboCache (256 dedicated) Dell Precision M6300
- Hard Drive: 200GB Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive 9.5MM, 7200RPM, Dell Mobile Precision MX300 Factory Install
- 8X DVD+/-RW, Data Only, Dell Precision M6300
- NTFS file system
I have been editing with Premiere Pro CS3 for the past year now.
I used a Sony FX-1 when capturing my footage.
I believe that I captured all the footage in HDV ok. (I made a new project and used the Load Preset of "HDV 1080i30(60i)"; and then captured all the footage thru CS3)
My clip properties (when highlighted in the Project Panel) say that the clip is: an mpeg; and 1440x1080 (1.333).
1. My first problem: I captured 4 clips (Clips 1-3 are 1 hour each; and Clip 4 is 16 mins long). When I place Clip 1 into the timeline . . . the only way I can describe how the audio plays in this clip is . . . the audio looks like it's looping the same 5 to 6 minutes of audio throughout the whole 1 hour clip. (ie: the video is one, long, flowing 1 hour of continuous video; but the audio connected to this same clip, seems to be playing the first 5 mins of the clip, and then repeats it at the 6th minute). You can 'visually' see this problem when you view the audio waveform in the timeline.
The other three clips have no problem with audio at all.
2. My second question is a bit more lengthy:
I wanted to run a test of burning a Blu-Ray of this project's raw footage, to see how the workflow would go after I've edited the wedding.
When I go to Export my timeline to Encore, on the Encoding Settings area, it seems to only let me use the Preset of NTSC Widescreen, with a 720x480 video. I don't see anywhere where it mentions that this project will be HD (which I thought would keep my 1440x1080 dimensions on export).
The Format and Range areas are greyed out; and I can only choose a few things off the Preset dropdown.
Am I missing a step? Or is this what will be exported, but once in Encore, it will be able to burn correctly on Blu-ray?
Again, please excuse my naivety in understanding and/or mis-speaking my problem.
Also on the Export Settings window, on the Output tab - should I check off 'Deinterlace' also? I've read and read about Interlace and Deinterlace, and I am confused as to "what to use when".
So my specific questions are:
1. Regarding the 'repetetive audio loop' on one of my clips - what could the problem be there?
Will it export OK? Or should I just recapture that one clip again?
2A. Do I Export to Encore directly, when I'm done with my timeline and want to go to burn the Blu-ray disk? Or do I need to make my timeline into 'one fluid file'?
2B. If I'm supposed to make a file of the timeline:
Am I supposed to be Exporting to Movie instead?

I changed the Pixel Aspect Ratio to "D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2)" and the ratio that shows beside the greyed out Frame Rate area does change to 16:9. But the size is still locked at 720x480.
Shouldn't I be seeing 1440x1080 SOMEwhere along the export line? Or at least some sort of ratio that would pertain to HD?
2C. Am I supposed to be Exporting to Adobe Media Encoder?
And if so, should I be choosing:
H.264;
HDTV 1080p 29.97 High Quality;
Output tab having 'Deinterlace' checked;
using VBR, 2 Pass;
leaving Target Bitrate default of 32;
and Maximum Bitrate default of 40?;
and should I be setting the 'Key Frame Distance' at 30 also?
2D. When exporting, should I always Deinterlace footage?
(I've read so much about Deinterlace and Interlace that I'm lost about the 'when to use either' aspect)
3. If I absolutely have to use a third-party program like Cineform, at what point do you use that program? Is this used at the time that you capture the footage, and then import those files into PPCS3? Or is this a program that you use to Export your project when you're done with your editing?
(I read all the information that Dan Isaacs posted about the "Premiere Pro HDV workflow Guide", but that was entirely too confusing to me right now, as a newbie to HDV, etc. I was going to attempt that way, but I ended up doing this post first).
In my meandering throughout the CS3 forum regarding SD, HD, HDV, etc etc, I have picked up alot of information regarding certain problems and situations. I may have all the info in my head, and I'm just applying it wrong; or, I'm missing something in the mix? I'm not sure what it is, but I seem to be having quite a problem doing what seems to be something that should be 'easy'.
I find this forum extremely helpful and understanding, so I'm looking to you all for help. I would appreciate any and all comments and suggestions!

Download/install an app is a know possible solution.

Blue Ray not supported in OSX

Why is Blue Ray not supported?? Can someone from Apple please address this....and hopefully someday this will be rectified.

Apple have addressed this, use Google.
However there are several 3rd party apps and devices that will run on OS X. Again, check Google.
btw this is not a route to Apple. Do you remember the Terms of Use at all? You agreed to them when you signed up and there's a link to them on the right hand side of every page. As they explain, this is a forum for Users to discuss technical issues with other Users. Apple's developers aren’t here. They don’t promise to read anything here.

Beats Audio fn-b button not working after fresh install of Win 8.1

I have read here on this being a issue. I have tried about 4 things with no success so I am posting this!
I have the HP Envy beats Edition 14- 2166se Laptop running fully updated Win 8.1 and using The audio driver sp63555.
Everything works including the beats audio program just can not get the fn - b button combo to active or deactive the beats audio function controler. Any help would be great!!!

In that case, try the following.
Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry 'HP System Event Utility' and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load for a few minutes.
Then download and install the version HP QuickLaunch Software on the following link.

When this installation has completed, restart the notebook again and let Windows fully load before checking the fn+b combination.

Well, it has been a long road on the Win 10 upgrade. At first I got the same error message as above, but after deleting the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 in Win 10 using Control Panel Programs and Features and rebooting, I got into the continual BSOD upon reboot. Here are the steps I took to at least get stable on Windows 10. First, I rolled back to Windows 8.1 using the advanced feature in the BSOD recovery options. Once back in Win 8.1, I deleted the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then I downloaded the Win 10 update and re-installed it. Once that completed, I updated the Intel Graphics driver under the display adapters (on my G780 it is an Intel HD Graphics 4000, and the driver can be found at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/). Currently I am running version 10.18.10.4252 for my machine. Then, under the Device Manager, I updated the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver under the Sound, video, and game controllers. That driver is currently at 8.66.4.50 and was automatically downloaded from the web when I requested to update driver. I also changed several others settings such as Notify to schedule restart after updates are installed instead of automatic (under Settings --> Update & Security --> Advanced Options) and Do you want Windows to download driver software and realistic icons for your devices? --> No, let me choose what to do, never install driver software from Windows Update. After that, I shut down the machine, waited a moment and booted back up. I have no idea why this helped or if it is overkill, but I am stable and running without a fear of rebooting now. Hope this helps if someone else is having this same issue.
