Encore CS6 and loop point bug

Hello,
does anyone know if the new Encore has fixed the black video, or unwanted pauses, (that happened playing loop point menus) of a BluRay disc burnt with the previous versions CS5 and CS5.5?
Thanks in advance
Giorgio

Actually I one of each. My rendering crash is with blu-ray, and my motion menu playback going to black is for a DVD.
I called tech support and they want money to work on non install issues.
One support person on the forum asked me to attach the dump file, yet this forum does not have a way to do so.
One support person listed his e-mail address but it is incorrect.
Only quick solution is to go back to CS5.5.

  • Encore CS6 Chapters looping

    Hi
I am relatively new to Encore CS6 and just created a basic DVD with menus and chapters. When I burned the DVD and checked it on a regular DVD player, I found from my main menu the movie played fine. However, when I went to my Scene Selection menu and played a few chapters they are looping. My goal is to allow people to select a chapter (if they want) and the rest of the movie will play from that chapter through the end. But instead it is playing that chapter and then looping it.  I'm guessing it is something simple and it is just being a newbie to the software I can't figure it out.  Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi Stan,
Thanks for helping. I don't see any overrides set. I see where I can set end actions for timelines but I don't even see how to set an end action for a chapter, so I am assuming I don't have any set. I have two  screen shots to post one is of the workflow as you suggested and one is of my timeline and chapters. As I stated in my original post, I am new to Encore so feel free to tell me if I've created the whole thing wrong.
    Thanks, Lisa

  • I accidentally uninstalled Premiere CS6/Encore CS6 and the CC manager says it's still installed

I'm on a PC, running Windows 7. I wanted to just install Encore CS6 and had to install Premiere CS6 to do that (WHY????).
Anyway, I was going to uninstall Premiere CS6 because I have Premiere CC, and I accidentally checked both Encore and Premiere CS6 when the uninstaller came up. The CC manager still says Premiere CS6 is still installed when it's not. I have to install Encore for a project right away.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Bhorv67 first please try quitting and reopening the Creative Cloud desktop application to force a refresh.  If the Premiere CS6 is still listed as being installed then please see Creative Cloud AAM lists Applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html for additional solutions for the difficulties which you are currently facing.

  • Encore CS6 and Pegasys Mastering Works 5

    Hello,
I use Mastering Works 5 for encoding Blu-ray & DVD and was wondering if anybody has used the files from Mastering Works 5 in Encore CS6?  Any import issues?
Also, is there any way to get the markers created in Mastering Works to be recognized by Encore CS 6?
    Thanks for your help.

    Not that I know of.

  • CS6 and Custom Point Curve vs. Linear

So when I open a new D700 shot in ACR with CS6 and go to the point curve panel it defaults to Custom. Which appears to have about 10-12 points on it and looks like it is providing a slight lift in the shadows and a slight dip in the highlights. I can select linear and I know how to save this as the new default I'm just curious what the Custom curve is and where it comes from. I'm using the V.4 Neutral profile if that makes any difference.
I've not seen this mentioned anywhere. Anyone understand it?

    Highly unlikely, me-thinks.
But again, you can do it yourself using DNG Profile Editor.
I wish I could find the link, or the data you need, but can't.
But here is what I did: I used PV2010 linear in Lightroom, clicked PV2012, then saved a preset (does ACR support presets?) checking only tone/point curve, then using a text editor, converted it to the format required in DNG Profile Editor (recipe), and inserted it into a recipe file.
On the other hand, you can accomplish something close to the linear equivalent point curve using -contrast.
Found it - replace tone curve in dcpr file (DPE recipe) with this and you've got linear equivalent:

  • Encore CS6 and tcpip.sys

I have recently dipped my toes in the water of Blu-Ray creation, after may hundreds of successful DVDs. The current menu is created from within Encore but using a .png background image and buttons created in Photoshop. The content consists of 12 sequences, imported from the Premiere Pro CS6 timeline. Every time i select 'Build' the system gets a little way in, not always the same place, and  the whole computer crashes with a message which isn't on he scren for very long but names a file - TCPIP.SYS. I can't quite see wehat the connection between tcpip.sys and Encore can be. It automatically reboots the PC and we go round in a cirtcle. Has anyone else seen this behaviour and, if so, was  a solutiojn found? The PC is a Hewlett Packard i7 with 16Gb of RAM and plenty of hard disc space (128Gb+) away from the C: drive.

Many thanks for your thoughts, Stan. It's late here in the UK so I'll change the preference tomorrow and see if more information can be gleaned
I supose I should have tried a 'simple' BD first but, as ever with me, far from dipping my toes, I jump in with both feet! I didn't expect the workflow to be much different to DVD. I have read somewhere else in the forum, that it is better to Export from PrPro rather than 'Import' to Encore. I have been importing from the PrPro Timeline direct to Encore. I'll give that a try tomorrow, aslo.
Once again, many thanks. I'll report back when I am more awake!

  • Encore CS4 and Pop-up bug?

I have tried to make Pop-up's with the new Encore CS4 using Photoshop files. Everything looks good in Encore but after writing the Blu-ray the Pop-up's are unclean, that means for example fonts looks damaged... am i something missing or is it a bug?

What is your project settings in Encore? What is the settings of Pop up menu you created in Photoshop? Please create the popup menu of same size as Encore project size and then try.

  • Encore CS4 Loop Point goes back to beginning

    Hi all,
Thank you for your time reading this. I've searched the forum and didn't see a resolution for this type of issue. Please accept my apology if it is noted somewhere and I didn't find it.
I created a Motion Menu in After Effects CS3 that is 00;05;07;00
I then saved the layers as a psd files (I didn't create buttons within AE)
I created the buttons I wanted within Encore.
Turned off all of the layers in Encore except for the buttons that I created
I created an AVI file out of the After Effects composition which is set as the Motion menu in Encore
The only problem that I am having is that when the video ends it goes back to the very beginning of the motion menu instead of the Loop point I set at 00;00;14;00 (14 seconds if I did that right)
    I have Animate buttons checked
    Loop point: 00;00;14;00
    Loop #: Forever
On the basic tab, for both End Action and Override I went to Specify link and chose the Motion menu(AVI) that I created. I checked the box at the bottom "Set to Loop Point"
I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. This is my first time with a Motion Menu, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.
Thank you for your time on this
    Best regards
    Jeff

    Jeff,
    Thanks for explaining.
I'm now using CS5 and I'd heard the two menu thing wasn't necessary any more so:
A week or so ago, I was trying to figure out the same thing.  I posted this question here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/852185?tstart=30.
Unfortunately, there were no answers, and by then I had found in the Encore Help under Loop point (as you did) this group of instructions at the bottom
    "Set menu loop back
You can set a loop point in a motion menu to a point from which you want the motion menu to loop, rather than the beginning. This is useful when the starting point and ending point of the motion menu are separated by a long interval.
Select the menu from the Menu panel.
On the Properties panel, set the loop point.
Select Specify Link from the End Action Options menu.
Select the target from the list, and then select Set To Loop Point, and click OK"
However, I can't get this to work similar to you problem.  That is, if I select the "Play all, Scenes " menu as the target, since it has a motion menu, I can select "Set to loop point", since it's not greyed out.
However, if I select the next menu "Scenes" with no motion menu, the "set to loop point" is greyed out.  If I select the Play all etc with the motion menu,  then the loop point doesn't work ie it still loops back to the beginning of the motion menu.
I'm not sure what the work "taget" means from the last sentence in the suggestions.
I was hoping an Adobe person would chime in, but so far no luck.
I'm doing this in a SD project and not BluRay.
    Sorry to ramble.

  • PS3 (Playstation 3) issue not loading BDR Bluray | Adobe Encore CS6

I recently created a Bluray using Adobe Encore CS6, and the Bluray is not loading on my PS3, but is working fine on my other player (LG, Toshiba and PC).  Does anyone have the same issue and found a solution?  I need help on this as most of my client use their PS3 as Bluray player.
Authoring program: Adobe Encore CS6 with the Creative Cloud latest update
PS3 with latest firmware update (PS+ member with auto-update: on)
Video files: 1920x1080 FPS 23.976 Program Stream MPEG-2 for Bluray *.m2v (transcode with FCP Compressor)
Audio files: Dolby Digital Audio *.ac3
    Burner software: CyberLink Power2Go V6
Burner hardware: HP BD Writer bd340i
    Media: Verbatim BD-R 25GB 6x Speed
    Project size: 20/25GB
The project setting in CS6 is: Blu-ray NTSC with MPEG-2 Codec at 1920x1080 at 23.976FPS
The “Check Project” shows no error.  I build (output) as an image, then burn the *.ISO file using CyberLink Power2Go.
The BD-R work fine everywhere (LG & Toshiba player) except on my PS3.  The BD-R has the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder, so I don’t know why my PS3 don’t recognize it.  And I have three PS3 at home; 1xPS3 80GB version (3yrs old) and 2xPS3 super slim (1yr old).  All three are unable to see the BD-R.  My PS3 work fine with all other media (games & movie Bluray); and I highly doubt that all three have trouble with the Bluray player.
I did the same process last time (in 2013) and everything is working fine, all the same configuration, except I used Adobe Encore CS4.  My PS3 was able to read and recognize the BD-R.  But since CS6, my PS3 don’t see the BD-R.  I also put back the copy that I did last year with CS4 (just to make sure that is not a PS3 firmware issue) and the Bluray work fine.  The media (Verbatim) come from the same tower (leftover from last year).
So everything point toward CS6…is there something that change from CS4 to CS6 for Bluray creation? Jumping from Encore CS4 to CS6, I don’t see anything different, but look like there is, because the Bluray can no longer be played on my PS3.  Please help!

Create an ISO (Encore) or folder on your hard drive (Encore or Premiere Elements) and then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
Imgburn will read the ACTUAL disc brand from the disc, which is not always the same as the box label (Memorex is notorious for buying "anything" and putting it inside a Memorex box)
When you write to disc with Imgburn, use the SLOWEST possible speed setting, so your burner has the best chance to create "good, well formed" laser burn holes... since no player is required to read a burned disc, having a "good" one from a high quality blank will help

  • Encore cs6 bluray project crashes encore at the build start.

I thing there is a bug in the new Encore Cs6. I have created a project in encore cs6 and when trying to build a bluray Encore crashes at the beginning of the build.
When I open the same project in encore cs5.1 it will work fine and complete the build and the burn (though if I am trying to use the same blank disk it will ask for a media even though I cannot see anything written on the blank disk, but it will build and burn just fine with a fresh flank media).
The DVD projects work fine in cs6, it is only the bluray that crashes every time.

  • Encore CS6 Dynamic Link to Photoshop CC

This seems such an obvious question, but I have searched without request:
Until two days ago I had Premiere Pro CS5, CS6 and CC installed, but I was having problems with the CC Application Manager not recognising apps as installed when they were.  So I was advised to remove the old versions (I also had to remove Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS5.5), and reinstall the application manager - which I did, and the AAM now has all its ticks in the right places. Except of course, I now don't have Encore!  So I reinstalled PremPro CS6 (a three hour job with my rural NZ connection).
My problem now is that if I try a Dynamic Link from Encore CS6 to Edit in Photoshop, I get this error message:
I'm guessing this is because Encore CS6 does not know about Photoshop CC, and that I could fix it by reinstalling Photoshop CS6?  Another three hour download   So can I somehow make Encore CS6 use Photoshop CC, or am I misinterpretting the error message?
    Many thanks

Ann, yes PSD files open in Photoshop CC.  Stan, the order of install/unistall was exactly as you said.  But when I unstalled all my pre CC apps, and reinstalled the Application Manager, it did not recognize _any_ of the CC apps as being installed, so I let it overwrite them.  The whole point of starting this process was to get the AAM in sync with the installed CC apps so I wouldn't miss updates.
I got round my problem last night by using the Windows 7 search facility to locate the menu file, and open it in CC, but that feels so clunky compared to a simple right click.  I relax by browsing the Photoshop forum, so I will probably reinstall Photoshop CS6, if only to test answers, but it would be nice to get Encore CS6 and Photoshop CC working together.
BTW  The Application Manager does not show Premiere Pro CS6 as being installed, whereas it did after I first installed the CC apps.

  • Premiere CC Chapter markers not frame accurate in Encore CS6

So I just made a video with 30 chapter markers at distinct cuts in the timeline using Premiere CC and exported that to an MPEG-2 video as I would in CS6. After importing the MPEG-2 file into Encore CS6 and making a New Timeline the Chapter Markers do show up but they are now all 3-15 frames early per chapter which also means none of the chapter thumbnails are going to be accurate. It's easy to check this with both programs just compare the timecode number at each chapter point in the timeline of Premiere CC then Encore CS6.
Also noticed that the Add Chapter Marker tool that was in the Premiere CS6 timeline is missing in CC, just the Add Marker tool is there now. Couldn't find a way to add the Add Chapter Marker tool to the timeline group of tools.

The .xmpses file contains the chapter information, at least for CS6 and earlier.  You can test this by removing that file before importing into Encore.  You won't get any chapters.
Not sure where Adobe is putting chapter data for CC, but it must be somewhere because the chapters are there.
So I ran two tests, one from CS6 and one from CC7.  In both cases I added three chapter marks, two where I knew there would not be an I-frame in the exported .m2v, and one where there would be.  Both exports came into Encore with the chapter makers right where I put them, which surprises me because there were no I-frames at two of those points and Encore did not 'legalize' them as I'm accustomed to with my production machine.  (Ran this test on my personal machine.)  I could move the markers off those points, but could not put them back because, like I said, the DVD spec only allows them on I-frames.
I did not burn to test whether or not Encore would move the chapters that weren't on I-frames.  I'd be confused if it didn't, though.

  • Encore CS5.1 menu library cleared when Encore CS6 menu library installed

When I installed the Encore functional content (menu libs...) from the CS6 disk the menu libs were installed in Encore CS6 -and- the menu libraries were removed from Encore CS5.1. The menu libraries are not a separate load on Encore CS5.1. If this is expected how do I recover the lost menus?
    Ed B

The solution to this issue would be - copy the cs6 library from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS6\Library and place it at another loacation and rename it.
Now uninstall the CS6 Content and reinstall the 5.1 FC using the disc or the downloded FC you have. In this way you will recover back your 5.1 FC and can also use the 6.0 FC by pointing Encore to its location. I tried it and this works
And this problem will no longer be faced once the downloadble version of CS6 FC will be available.
