Encore CS6 Problem
My Encore CS6 won't run. Whenever I try to use it I get an error asking for a serial number. I'm using Creative Cloud so I don't have a serial number. Every application works fine, but they occasionally ask me to enter my user name and password before they start. Anyone have a guess what is wrong?

Regarding Encore you might simply consider running the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and then letting AAM reinstall Premiere Pro CS6 with Encore.

Encore CS6: problems about menu
Hi to everybody,
I have made a Bluray project with Encore, which has a menu with animated buttons and a wallpaper clip with codec h264. In the preview the project has gone perfect! After the burning, instead, the wallpaper clip breaks for few second in correspondence to the cyclic point of animated buttons, when the hiding appears. Thereafter it goes on normally.
Can someone help me?

This issue has been in the Adobe Encore software since they introduced Blu-ray with CS3. I've been working with them for a long time to get it fixed, but they have been unable to do so as of yet. The problem is caused by how the disc is programmed. The first part of the menu (before the loop point) is split into a different "playlist", and the pause occurs when the player jumps from one playlist to another. There is a great deal of re-programming that needs to be done on Adobe's part to correct this issue. It is not a simple line of code that needs tweaking. We are hopeful it will be addressed in CS7... but I've been saying that for every version since CS3. Maybe CS4... maybe CS5... maybe CS5.5... maybe CS6... -
Problem installing ONLY Encore CS6 alongside CC
With the new 2014 CC apps alongside the original CC apps, I decided I finally wanted to purge my CS6 collection. However, I still want and use Encore from time to time.
I used first the "uninstall" option to remove ALL of my CS6 apps - including Encore. I even used the Cleaner tool to further "clean up" CS6. All seemed well.
I then followed these instruction precisely to install Encore, which involves installing the "previous version" of Premiere Pro CS6 through the CC desktop app, and then using "uninstall" to remove only Premiere Pro CS6. http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/encore-cs6-installed-cc.html
Everything seemed perfect. I had only Encore CS6 appearing in my Application folder (Mac). However, in the CC desktop app drop down window (after logging out and then back in), there was a listing for Premiere Pro CS6 and a big blue button saying "update". "What's this" revealed bundled updates for not only Encore, but CS6 Bridge, Media Encoder and Extension Manager.
So - my choice, stare at an unresolved "Premiere Pro CS6" update for the rest of time, or hit the button. I hit the button, and got CS6 Media Encoder, Extension Manager and Bridge reinstalled back on my computer. Right back where I started.
The instructions at the link above are INCOMPLETE. What do I do to resolve this problem? I just want Encore - and not the gigabytes of CS6 programs I no longer need.
Thank you.I do not know the real answer, which is can you uninstall ALL CS6 except for Encore.
My guess is that you must live with the "update" flag staring at you. The update did NOT put Premiere back in, so I assume that those 3 programs are considered "essentials" for the CS6 family. Even though we don't know how, they may be essential for some part of Encore's functioning. My guess is that the PR CS6 install put them in, the uninstall does not remove them unless you remove everything, and that they had updates.
You may have needed the update to get Encore to 6.0.1 (the only Mac update for Encore CS6). Or you may be able to manually update with an update file. Adobe - Encore : For Macintosh : Encore CS6 update
In any event, these are small programs. Well, hm, 3/4 of a gig. You should really transcode assets to DVD/BD spec before bringing into Encore, so it doesn't matter, but for some projects I will use the dynamic link with AME to transcode ahead of the build. Slight advantage to keeping it.
But for your interests, my bottom line is to live with the "update button." -
I encountered technical problem using Adobe creative cloud.
Because I want to burn a DVD I installed Encore Cs6. This program didn’t include the menu library, so I imported that following the instructions I found on the internet.
The program works alright, even with a dynamic link with photoshop. A preview of the resulting menu works fine too.
However, I can’t save it or build it. I get the message: an input contract error occurred. Before that I see a message stating the following: /Volumes/Builds/Mango/Main/Adobe/MediaMac/../../Src/FileCache/FileCache.cpp-1016
Without the link, or without any content all I get the same messages. So I guess it’s not caused by the dynamic link or by the assets which I imported.
By the way, I’m working on an Apple computer.
Hope someone knows how to tackle this problem!
Elsbeth MulderMavericks and Yosemite are not support by Encore, but I believe users are getting them to work.
Many of the issues in Mavericks appeared to be permissions. Most Adobe apps need read/write access, and those were not the defaults for the OS.
Some Mavericks users reported the following fixes their problems - I eventually assumed that somewhere in the process, it was fixing permissions. But perhaps it does more:

Encore CS6 Flash Export problem
Hey There!
I am having a problem with my encore CS6 flash exports.
The DVD menus are shown the right way in the browser but, when I select a video to be played, the flash player shows me the video controls but no video. The background stays grey. I've tried exporting FLV and F4V and the problem is the same.
It looks like the link in the XML is not good. The videos are in the folder exported by Encore and they play well in VLC. Do you have to edit the XML file to make this work? I guess not...
Maybe reinstalling everything? Because from my perspective, it looks like it is an easy procedure and it should work.
Any help would be appreciated!

- Encore CS6The Encore structure puts the flv in a "sources" subdirectory under the level with the index.html.
As long as the user has not modified anything, the path should be okay.
Nicolas, confirm that the directory with index.html file also has a subdirectory called "sources," and that that is where the flv/f4v is.
My suspicion for many users with a local, but not web problem, are having a local permissions issue.
One user reported fixing a similar problem by removing odd characters in the filenames. The theory was that the characters were breaking the xml linking. -
Encore CS6 Flash Export problem, Grey screens
Hi everyone,
I am having a problem with my encore CS6 flash exports, they are not behaving as expected online (seems to be like a loading issue).
I've tried exporting FLV and F4V and the problem is the same. The same project exported from CS5.5 does not produce this undesirable
problem. It may be important to say that the project was started in CS5.5.
I have a button that links to another menu, and I am using videos as 'transitions'. The videos are dynamic after effects compositions.
When it's online, and you press the button it fills the canvas with a 'grey screen' before starting the video transition. This totally breaks
the experience and feels like an authoring error. It would be important to note, that this screens only appear the first time you see the flash.
Somehow the next time you press it doesnt show it.
I would happily go back to CS5.5 but I started using auto-activate buttons that are only available on CS6 flash exports.
Any ideas what has changed between this versions flash exports?
Any help would be appreciated..

Simple project, DVD NTSC, One menu with one button. One timeline. Menu first play, button linked to timeline.
Output flash with flv (and again with f4v - same results), No template, keep with flash swf rather than streaming.
Open index.html locally, must manually enable active content. Menu opens, movie plays. No grey screen.
Copy entire folder to USB, same result; USB plays on a different PC also.
Upload to web site; same result.
Am I doing soething differently from either of you? Are you using templates?
Factors related to flash security (for local and probably USB playback) can be problems. Various server settings can be problems for on line. -
I have Adobe Production CS6. I am having problems starting Encore. It takes too long to start. On a quad core PC it starts almost immediately, on a second hex core i7 PC it takes ages to initialize transcoding. I tried installed elements for Encore CS6 that appears to have been only partially installed. The Dynamic link also has the same problem. Also, the sound is not transferring regularly. Sometimes it transfers other times it does not for the same Premier Pro CS6 project. Editing and creating a menu in Photoshop does not transfer to Encore. I have a problem that perhaps needs to be solved by reinstalling Encore.
What are my options to fix the problem?Thank you for pointing me to where I can find the full library content. I did download what I believed was the correct download following Adobe instructions but it did not provide a full library.
The word "assist" was not part of the description in the Adobe article on buttons but my way of expressing the utility of the button menu template. I started with machine language programming then progressed all the way up to Microsoft's Visual Studio where functions are listed to insert into templates for programming. This saves time by eliminating line by line programming for the most part. In the same Adobe, "Using Photoshop to create menus" article that starts with the heading, "About creating menus in Photoshop" is a table of button commands that includes the shortcuts for creating various functional buttons starting with + then = etc. within brackets. Included is the wording:
"Instead of creating menus from scratch in Photoshop and adding all the prefixes manually, you may want to open a menu template that’s similar to the one you want to create, save it as a Photoshop file, and then edit the exported file in Photoshop."
I do not know how this menu template works but I am hoping that it does provide a shortcut to create buttons in the layer process in Photoshop.
I find that Adobe support for answers to my questions is often like looking for a needle in the haystack. There is no url to lead me to where I can find such a menu template with layer prefixes, nor in the same artilicle does a url "Video about creating menus in Photoshop" shortcut point me directly to where the video is found. Instead, I find myself in the "Learn and Support" section expecting me to find it myself.
Is there such a menu template for buttons and where can I find it? -
Good morning everyone.
I'm mading a DVD with Encore CS6 and I've created a Custom Menu.
When I connect the Chapters to the corrispondent Button there's a strange problem.
I've done 27 Chapters, and obviously 27 Buttons, divided into 3 lines x 9 Buttons.
The first eighteen ones works perfectly, but the last nine don't.
When I run the preview, the last line of Buttons is like there wasn't present on the Menu, although the Buttons are there and they're visibible.It's the DVD spec: a 16:9 menu only allows 18 buttons. (It is 36 for 4:3.)

Encore CS6: Rebuilding audio tracks | PROBLEM
Hello, guys. Greetings from Brazil.
I'm having a problem with Encore CS6 during the authoring process and thought you guys could help me out with this. My Blu-ray project contains 29 video files (total of 2h 22m) and I have 5 psd menus (with an audio background from another file) in it. The files weren't with the same resolution/settings so I converted them in .MOV files with the same audio rate but keeping the resolution differences. I watch it inside Encore and it works just fine.
The problem is when I try to build the disc, image or folder: it stucks at the "Rebuilding audio tracks" and doesn't go on by any chance. I've started over from scratch 4 times and the same message keeps bothering me.
The first time I built, it was in a DVD format (exported a DVD folder), then I duplicated the project and changed the settings, putting it to a Blu-Ray configuration. It was right then that these issues started and now I can't build any Blu-Ray and DVD either.
Please, can you guys help me?

So, I fixed the issue by replacing the Play All timeline (in which I reinserted the mov clips in a long, continuous sequence) for a Playslist, using the timelines that were already created. I found an information that the act of putting mov files in a long sequence may cause a sort of incompatibility with the audio tracks. Something about the ac3, don't know exactly
But yes, the problem was solved when I used a Playlist instead of a new, huge, timeline.

Encore CS6 Dynamic Link from Pr CS6 Problem/Issue
I switched from Production Premium CS5 to CS6. I first deactivated and uninstalled my CS5 then installed CS6 on my Windows 7 machine.
The problem:
When I edit together a video in Premiere CS6 and have finished, I use Dynamic Link from within Encore CS6 to bring in that timeline. After that, I use AME to transcode that Dynamic Link asset to the DVD MPEG standard, Encore CS6 keeps poping up a notification window that says: "The transcoded DynamicLink asset _______ has changed on the server. Would you like to reimport it? Yes/No" It prompts me each time I enter Encore and any time I move from another open program back to Encore.
And I have to click No for each timeline that I have used Dynamic Link for (which is usually 5 or so).
Any ideas or help? This is incredibly annoying.

JaredAs an update. I am using the newest version of PluralEyes (v 2.0.5 7358) to sync the audio of the multiple camera event films I have shot. I have since created a new project in Premiere and only manually lined up clips and then Dynamically Linked that to a new Encore project and so far Encore has not promtpted me with the error/message: "The transcoded DynamicLink asset _______ has changed on the server. Would you like to reimport it? Yes/No"
Any ideas? This is very frustrating. Thank you! -
Encore CS6: I have to click under a button for it to work. Button/Menu Problems
I have created a menu with adobe encore cs6 and photoshop. everything seems to be in the right place but when i preview the menu, some buttons are the way i made them but others i have to click below the image for it to work. I do not know what other information you will need.
From Encore, right click the menu and "edit in Photoshop." Look at each button group and make sure that every layer is positioned correctly.
If that doesn't show you the problem, in Encore in the menu viewer, click the "show routing" button. Then give us a screenshot. (That is the simplest way I know to show the bounding boxes of all the buttons.)

Probleme mit der Synchronisation bei Encore CS6
Hallo zusammen,
nach dem Export einer in Premiere Pro CS6 erzeugten Video-Datei zum Media-Encoder und der Übernahme der gerenderten Datei in Encore CS6 stellt sich heraus, dass die Audio-Spur mit dem Video nach einigen Minuten Spieldauer nicht mehr synchron ist. Während der Start noch einwandfrei ist, wiederholen sich nach einigen Minuten unerwartet Audio-Teile - d.h. man hört plötzlich wieder den Ton vom Start des Videos, der natürlich überhaupt nicht zum Bild passt. Die gerenderten Dateien sind diesbezüglich ok. Der Fehler tritt nach meinen Beobachtungen also im Programm Encore auf.
Der Adobe-Support hat mir mit meinem Problem bisher nicht helfen können. Wer weiß Rat?

Vermutlich hast du einfach ganz klassisch vergessen, irgendwo die Bildraten anzugleichen und AME hat daher was falsch umgerechnet. Wenn's nur um den Ton geht, ist das aber wurscht - WAV ist WAV und ob du nun die konvertierte Tonspur oder einen direkten Export aus Premiere in Encore verwendest spielt keien Rolle.

Long-time Adobe user with CS6 Master Collection. Not come across this one before, though.
Simple Encore project using 3 PPro sequences via Dynamic Link.
Set up so a 20 sec video plays automatically then drops into a static menu offering choice of two timelines.
All tests OK, previews in Encore OK, and builds OK.
HOWEVER, the resulting DVD skips the intro video and starts with the menu, despite the intro video being set as First Play and testing OK inside Encore.
I've built the project from scratch twice now with the same result.
Any hints as to cause and cure?OK. I eventually tracked it down.
Before adding the intro element, I started with the menu. When I added the intro movie, all looked good on the flowchart and it played OK in Encore, but, as I explained initially, when burned to DVD playback started with the old menu, not the new first play.
I tried deleting Encores preferences (start with SHIFT+CONTROL) to no effect.
I tried adding STOP at the end of menus, to no effect.
I also tried a variety of other first play items, but the DVD always started with the non-first-play menu.
Eventually I looked at the project properties and found that the title button and main timeline were still pointing at the original first-play menu item, not the one currently selected. Changing the main timeline had no effect, but changing the Title Button to the new first-play timeline finally solved my problem.
It seems possible that there is an issue with updating all relevant items in Encore CS6 (Windows, fully updated) when changing first play. Or am I missing something that makes it my fault here? -
Why is it when I try to download EncoreCS6ContentWin_zip, I get the 'This file couldn't be downloaded'?
When I opened up the Encore CS6 from cloud, it did not have the library content, so tried to download the content from the support page. I keep coming up with file couldn’t be downloaded. I am using windows 7 64 bit, and explorer browser. I did just try to download using firefox, and it appears as though it is downloading, but have not tried to install yet.

Blue screen of death on Toshiba P755-S5375 with ADOBE ENCORE CS6
I recently purchased a new laptop and installed Adobe Master Collection CS6. I purchased the laptop for video capture and editing, as well as for blu-ray authoring.
Unfortunately, although the computer and software works fine for video capture and editing, I am unable to author a blu-ray. For authoring, I am using Adobe’s Encore CS6. After checking and previewing my creation, I attempt to build to disc using Encore. About 2 seconds after clicking the build disc in Encore, I get the “blue screen of death” (BSOD). This happens every time I try to build to blu-ray (only blu-ray has this issue; I am able to build to a DVD). I am using an external blu-ray drive on USB 3.0.
