Encore is loading huge amounts to bd-rom content of disc.
When i load encore it takes about 5 min to load and i find that it is loading 590gb of bd-rom content to disc. Why is this happening, or at least is there a way to delete the content so that i may burn a disc.
I am using Encore CS5.1 (with Adobe Dynamic Link to Premeire Pro CS5.5--from the same CS5.5 suite).
Ah-ha! When I add ROM content, it works and only shows the content I added, but when I delete it, the extreme amont of ROM content comes back. So I guess the best workaround solution at this point would be to add some sort of ROM content (small text document or something) and just keep that on the disk. Thank you!

I used migration assn't to load a Time Machine backup onto a new mac. The first TM backup after that took some time, perhaps not surprising. But the backups thereafter have all taken hours, with huge amounts of "indexing" time. Time to reload TM?
Does every backup require lots of indexing? If so, the index may be damaged.
Try Repairing the backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

Changes to write optimized DSO containing huge amount of data
Hi Experts,
We have appended two new fields in DSO containg huge amount of data. (new IO are amount and currency)
We are able to make the changes in Development (with DSO containing data). But when we tried to
tranport the changes to our QA system, the transport hangs. The transport triggers a job which
filled-up the logs so we need to kill the job which aborts the transport.
Does anyone of you had the same experience. Do we need to empty the DSO so we can transport
successfully? We really don't want to empty the DSO's as it will take time to load?
Any help?

Roseemptying the dso should not be necessary, not for a normal dso and not for a write optimized DSO.
What are the things in the logs; sort of conversions for all the records?

since Friday my iPhone 4 startet using huge amounts of mobile data and rapidly wastes battery lifetime (50% in 3 hous!) It also gets quite warm even when I don't use it at all.
I suspect an app does this, because in flight mode battery is ok.
How do I find out which app is to blame without having to uninstall all apps?

Handling Huge Amount of data in Browser
Some information regarding large data handling in Web Browser. Browser data will be downloaded to the
cache of local machine. So when the browser needs data to be downloaded in terms of MBs and GBs, how can we
handle that ?
requirement is as mentioned below.
A performance monitoring application is collecting performance data of a system every 30 seconds.
The size of the data collected can be around 10 KB for each interval and it is logged to a database. If this application
runs for one day, the statistical data size will be around 30 MB (28.8 MB) . If it runs for one week, the data size will be
210 MB. There is no limitation on the number of days from the software perspective.
User needs to see this statistical data in the browser. We are not sure if this huge amount of data transfer to the
browser in one instance is feasible. The user should be able to get the overall picture of the logged data for a
particular period and if needed, should be able to drill down step by step to lesser ranges.
For e.g, if the user queries for data between the dates 10'th Nov to 20'th Nov, the user expects to get an overall idea of
the 11 days data. Note that it is not possible to show each 30 second data when showing 11 days data. So some logic
has to be applied to present the 11 days data in a reasonably acceptable form. Then the user can go and select a
particular date in the graph and the data for that day alone should be shown with a better granularity than the overall
graph.
Note: The applet may not be a signed applet.How do you download gigabytes of data to a browser? The answer is simple. You don't. A data analysis package like the one you describe should run on the server and send the requested summary views to the browser.

Report in Excel format fails for huge amount of data with headers!!

I have developed an oracle report which fetches upto 5000 records.
The requirements is to fetch upto 100000 records.
This report fetches data if the headers are removed. If headers are given its not able to fetch the data.
Have anyone faced this issue??
Any idea to fetch huge amount of data by oracle report in excel format.

Data Transfer Prozess (several data packages due two huge amount of data)

I`ve been uploading data from ERP via PSA, ODS and InfoCube.
Due to a huge amount of data in ERP - BI splits those data in two data packages.
When prozessing those data to ODS the system delete a few dataset.
This is not done in step "Filter" but in "Transformation".
General Question: How can this be?
b)
As described in a) data is split by BI into two data packages due to amount of data.
To avoid this behaviour I enterd a few more selection criteria within InfoPackage.
As a result I upload data a several time, each time with different selction criteria in InfoPackage.
Finally I have the same data in ODS as in a), but this time without having data deleted in step "Transformation".
Question: How is the general behaviour of BI when splitting data in several data packages?

My conclusion from your answers are the following.
a) Since the ODS is Standard - within transformation no datasets are deleted but aggregated.
b) Uploading a huge amount of datasets is possible in two ways:
b1) with selction criteria in InfoPackage and several uploads
b2) without selction criteria in InfoPackage and therefore an automatic split of datasets in data packages
c) both ways should have the same result within the ODS

So far I have only checked the data within PSA. In PSA number of datasets are not equal for variant b1 and b2.
Guess this is normal technical behaviour of BI.
I am fine when results in ODS are the same for b1 and b2.

HUGE amount of yellow "Other" space being taken up on iPhone 4S. Please help!
I looked around the forum for a solution of the huge amount of yellow "other" space that is being eaten up on my iPhone 4S. Even after a restore, the yellow "other" space is taking up 7.1 GB of space on my phone, up from 6.5 which is what it was before the restore. What is going on? Usually I just erase some texts (I send a lot of pics to my hubby and mom,) erase some voicemails and it drops down to around 1 GB. But I've noticed since iOS 6, that hasn't worked. 7.1 GB is ridiculous. Is there ANY way at all to get rid of it without having to erase absolutely everything about my phone and start over from scratch, including downloading 40 apps all over again?
This seems to be a problem a lot of people have been having over the past few years, why has it never been addressed? There needs to be some sort of utility or something that cleans things up if they have problems with junk not getting deleted or corrupted files sticking around.Ok, so I appreciate the suggestion that it may be a corrupted file. Obviously the problem is not new. And it isn't huge, but it is inconvenient and annoying. How are files getting corrupt so frequently that they are taking up 8 GB of space? There has to be a cause. And the fact that before iOS 6 happened, all I had to do was delete text messages and that would immediately fix it. Why has that changed?

I have an issue with respect to clear a customer item. The customer item is cleared in foreign currency, USD and the following document is posted:

Is this a residual clearing posting ?
Are you clearing the customer and creating residual items, each time a payment is received ?
Also check the document items in GL view, you should find huge amounts in customer items as well
If this is the case you need to revise the way you are posting residual clearing document (always post with reference to an existing debit item) otherwise soon you would see forex values overflowing -resulting in dump for any further postings to these customers

Naming huge amounts of files after "undelete" / photorec / etc?

Does someone already have a neat little script to automatically name a huge amount of files in multiple fuzzy sorts of ways? Like with id3-tags, exif tags, the first line / header of text documents of various formats... sort by file extension, mime-tag, file size if nothing else is there... and stuff? I'm only familiar with very few of the tools required and still failed miserably at getting them all together in a bash script.
If not: any hints on how to get started? I'm still missing a good way to deal with about everything except for images, mp3 & plain text...

Just not fit for so many files and also I'd love if there was a way to do it without choosing pattern for everything manually (starting by the next time I need to do something like this ). Maybe I should have written that from the beginning: I have about 90M files... might not be a single occasion (people don't learn -.-") and it's not supposed to be perfect: more like a quick & dirty automatic way of making it a little easier for the "end-user" to find his files in this huge mess. I don't care (much) if the script runs for days as long as I don't have to interact with it though, if the result is worth it.
So far now, I managed to reduce the amount of files by about 99% with my script (duplicates, damaged files, very small files, files that have extensions or contain lines of text that indicate they belonged to some programs cache or something), have them sorted by file extensions and give names to word documents, mp3 that have an id3 tag and photos that have exif data available. Most problematic at the moment:
- Processing odt's at a reasonable speed. Extracting huge amounts to /tmp & grep/sed-ing stuff from the xml sucks (me too stoopid for awk ).
- No idea how to get rid of all those files that were part of the windows installation or some other program. Especially huge amounts of videos that seem to have been part of tutorial / encyclopedia type of programs and help pages.
- I'd love to try & get some info from a p2p network. I understand despite it being not very clever, many many people share their whole harddisk, so If I figure out how to query with file hashes or something for "most common file name" and "amount of peers that share / want to download", I could get very far at removing more useless files and naming others.

Calendar app in iPhone use relatively huge amount of cellular data
I'm using a 500MB plan, so my cellular data is very limited. Each month I will check which app on my iPhone used most of the cellular usage, and the built-in Calendar always used the highest amount of cellular data.
I already set the Calendar to sync to "Events 2 Weeks Back" only, and I installed Sunrise calendar and only use it to create new task, edit task, etc. So far Sunrise calendar is the only calendar app that directly access my iCloud calendar. So I can make a comparsion between the two.
I reset the cellular statistics a week ago. Today, the usage of Calendar and Sunrise are as follows:
Calendar: 23.9 MB
Sunrise: 581 KB
They are displaying the same amount of information, the only difference I think is Calendar use Push to keep updating itself, so it consumes this relatively huge amount of data. (>90MB each month!)
I tried disable the cellular usage of Calendar in the past, but then I cannot see the most up-to-date information in the Notification Center. So at last I have to re-enable it again.
Does anyone have similar problem? Is there any solution? Thank you!!!Hi Robert,
Thank you for the comments but I somehow think we are miscommunicating.
1) I have no problem backing up the phone locally (or to icloud if I wanted to)
2) I have no problem turning on or off cellular data usage for any app on the phone
3) I have no problem seeing what apps are enabled or how much cellular data they use
My problem is the following
APPLE's Notes app used 2.7 GIGABYTES of cellular data (before I disabled cellular data for this app) despite the fact I wasn't even using the app. I didn't change any setting for Notes, I didn't do anything with it except create one note on October 15. It would seem to me that this excessive usage is a bug or oversight in Apple's design of the app.
The purpose of this post is to warn others of the potential issue and to see if this issue has been observed by anyone else and if there are any actual fixes. Disabling cellular data for the app is a work-around ... but will the problem begin again if cellular data is re-enabled?
Your suggestion of erasing all content and settings and then restoring the phone from the backup sounds extreme but would it solve the specific problem of excessive cellular data usage and if so .. why?
