Encore Sense Code 30C00

Hi, I've created a new project in Encore and keep getting the above error message as son as I try to burn to DVD.
I've tried burning earlier projects and they seem fine, so it must be something to do with the actual project rather than the hardware.
Can anybody advise?

Ot seems the problem was with the project itself.
I created a new project and set the project up again and it worked and burned fine.
Although it shows up as a hardware error it clearly wasn't. It was something corrupt in the project.
interesting lesson learned.

I am getting Sense Code 30C00 errors when I burn a DVD with Encore CS4 and Windows 7.  The DVD drivers are current and all Windows updates have been installed.

Back at http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore I entered 30C00 in the area under Ask a Question and there are no other messages
So, as a test, have Encore create an ISO on your hard drive, then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write the ISO to disc (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
If that works, you have some other software that has "captured" the drive (read below) but if you still have an error, you may have a failing drive

  • Problems writing with Encore CS3- Sense Code 30200

I hope someone can help. I am running into an error everytime I try to export to Encore CS3 from Premier ProCS3. The render works fine but shortly into the "write" I get an error: "hardware error Sense Code30200". I am using an HPXW8200 with dual 3.6 GHz xeon processors with an HP dvd 740 burner and Sony DVD+R for media. I have tried updating firmware (the current version is HI24) and that hasn't worked. Any ideas? Is this a drive compatibility issue? Thanks in advance for any help.

As Neil points out, Sense Code errors are almost always burner, or media.
These two things can often be "fixed" with a burner firmware update (ImgBurn will give you firmware versions, and these can be checked on the mfgr's site), or by using different, better blank media.
If your burner is a fully-certified multi-drive, the media "type" should not be an issue, but the brand certainly can be. If it's not a certified multi-drive, then the media type can be an issue.
What brand of media are you using? Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are about as good as it gets. Many others, not so good, to downright horrible and unusable. Brands, such as Ritek, Memorex and TDK can be impossible to work with.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Adobe Encore. Hardware error (Sense Code 52100).

I tried to output a dvd and received the following error:Adobe Encore. Hardware error (Sense Code 52100). Please contact the hardware manufacturerer for more information.

Hardware errors are usually two things... bad media (try a different brand of disc) or a bad drive
A workaround... and to test your media and hardware
Set your Encore DVD/BluRay output to an ISO file or to a folder on your hard drive and then use the FREE Imgburn to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
Read http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1322583 for notes on installing Imgburn WITHOUT any toolbar add-ons... Set Imgburn to use the slowest burn speed your drive and media will use... I set my burn speed to 1x and let Imgburn adjust to the actual minimum

  • Sense Code Error 31000 while burning DL DVD Encore CS5 Macbook Pro

While attempting to burn a Dual Layer DVD on my Macbook Pro I got this error: "Sense Code 31000" just before it started to burn.
I changed the burn speed, verified my laptop burns DVD+R DL discs. Any help is much appreciated. Must burn a master to duplicated 100 dvds by Friday. Thanks!

    Hi,
Sense Code errors are hardware or blank media related.
Try to burn with other blank disc, if it does not work then the problem may be because of burner.
    Thanks,
    Pankaj Gauba

  • DLT export failing. Sense code 0x00030C00

Trying to export a DL project from Encore 2 to DLT, but it stops at 2.53Gigs everytime with a Hardware Error and sense code 0x00030C00.
We've tested the DLT deck (Quantum DLT7000) with the Quantum test software, all looks good.
We are using brand new DLT IV tapes.
Lost at what else to try.
    Any help VERY welcome.

    Adam
That sounds suspiciously like a background process trying to start.
Can you please try any or all of these?
1 - Disable all network access
2 - Turn off any applications in the system tray that are not required for the DLT write.
3 - Clean the heads on the DLT machine of necessary (There should be a light if it is urgent, but a clean cannot hurt anyway)
4 - If the SCSI controller is on a PCI card, try moving it to ensure it has it's own IRQ - SCSI can be very twitchy sometimes.
5 - If the transfer rate is too slow, or too high, then this may cause issues - try setting a speed of no higher than 40Mbytes/sec sustained transfer rate as opposed to the default 80 or even 160/320 options. You don;t need speed for DLT.
6 - If they will run in this machine, try either type III or type III XT tapes. They are a heck of a lot cheaper as they are smaller - but fine for DVD.
To try & eliminate things, can you create a full folder without the error?
Also - are there any other devices on the SCSI buss?

  • CS3 - first build worked...not anymore...SENSE CODE 40300 latest problem from MACBook Pro

I was so proud yesterday...created my first DVD. Build worked fine...played the disk in my DVD player on TV...great...saved...went back into create another disk...I assumed pilot error and through the buring it aborted. Then tried again today...had to re-render the sub menu...without problems...then said to create DVD from Current Project...finally got this note below:
Error was unable to complete the operation because of a hardware error (Sense Code 40300). Please contact the hardware manufacturer for more information.
    ===================
PLEASE note...I can't hit the OK button...so Encore is locked...will have to force quit. IDEAS? How do I go back without going all the way back to a new project...what files can I delete and then re-render?
Also I created a ISO image. What do I do with it? I burned it on a CD...put it in a DVD player and it says it is un-playable disk.
Crap...I was so excited to get it to work correctly THE FIRST TIME...and have failed with everything since...trying to burn more disks.
Can I copy the GOOD disk into a file and then move it to the BURN FOLDER and burn another copy...will that produce a disk I can put into my DVD player and view?
I REALLY want to know how to do another BUILD.
    THANKS!!!

    Bill,
Do you have the option of trying with another burner - maybe a friend's external?
As far as your burner/player is concerned, can you make it work with other sofware. I do not know what is available for MAC, so I will not toss out a lot of other SW, that might be PC only.
As Rudd states, once you have the ISO file, other burning software can burn a DVD from that. Again, do not know what's available for MAC, but there are bound to be dozens. On PC, one must watch out for installs of Roxio & Nero, which want to add their packet-writing software, and that will mess with Encore.
I know that it's no direct help, seeing as how I'm a PC person, but it could be that your burner decided to quit, between burning sessions.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

Use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
When you write to disc with Imgburn, use the SLOWEST possible speed setting, so your burner has the best chance to create "good, well formed" laser burn holes... since no DVD player is required to read a burned disc, having a "good" one from a high quality blank will help
Use Taiyo Yuden single layer or Verbatim Two layer Or Falcon Pro for inkjet printable Two layer

  • Sense Code 54200

    Encore CS5
    Win7, 64bit, i980x 6 core, 12 gb memory, 2 TBs internal storage.
Have a video project, all footage edited in Prem CS5, DVD menus & nav built in Encore. Went to burn on Verbatim DVD+R DL discs and got a Sense Code 54200 error. The project is under DL size limit, ended up having to moving the project to my old WinXp with Encore CS4 and burned the needed 5 copies on that machine. The DVD drive in the Win7 machine burns DVD data discs using Nero with the same Verbatim DVD+R DL discs just fine. And I have burned many Encore DVD projects to 4.7 discs on this Win7 machine without issue. So I know its not my editing, or my nav build, or my menus, or my drive, or the blank discs. Anyone with an idea on this?
    Thanks,

  • Can't burn - Help - Error Sense Code (52100)

I have Adobe Encore DVD 1.5 which was purchased in a package called the Adobe Video Collection Professional. I want to start off by saying that I am new to the forum situation and also do not understand very much computer jargon. My operating system is Windows XP and I have a custom computer with 2 GB of RAM. I had a new DVD burner put in my computer after it was determined that the old burner was not compatible with my custom computer. The new burner is a Samsung Super-Writemaster 18x lightscribe DVD Writer and works with everything else in my computer except Adobe. I contacted Adobe about this problem and they said that there was a bug in the Adobe software package that I have, but our package is no longer under warranty. Is there something that we can acquire or do short of buying more software from Adobe to fix this problem. I have been able to burn some DVDs here and there, but normally I get coasters and it comes up with this error message - Device Error-Sense Code (5 21 00)-Logical Block Address/Out of Range-Read (DVD Error 336128). Please help.

Sense code errors are almost always caused by some piece of software interfering in the communication problem between Encore and the burner.
    Please have a look at
b Things and Software to avoid when authoring for DVD-V
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bbe7ec0
A quick fix is to let Encore write a
    i disc image file
    and then use
    b ImgBurn
http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn the DVD from that.

  • Getting Sense Code 37303

    Hi,
I'm getting the error (Sense Code 37303) while building my CS5 encore project to disc. I've use my internal DVD-rom (of my MacBookPro)  as well as a external Samsung (usb) burner. With both the same issue. I can create a DVD Folder or a DVD image from my project.... but trying to burn to disc from Folder or Image returns in also a "PrimoBurnerDSK - unknown error" also with both DVD-roms. This is highly unusual as both disk burn perfectly with Toast or with iDVD ....
    Please need some help.
    Regards Sudhier

This is from the Windoze world... but the concept is the same

It seems you have something installed on your Mac that does not allow Encore to "see" the drive... so create a folder or ISO and write to disc with a different program

  • Can't Burn DVD:Encore Error code 5A803

I'm working with the CS3 suite and whenever I try to burn a DVD the following message comes up: Hardware error sense code 5A803. Pleae contact harware manufacturer.
I'm working with a Pioneer DVD burner, I was able to import an ISO file and burn that to DVD using Nero but every effort to burn from Premiere via Encore brings up the 5A803 error message.
    Help, please send help!
    Thanks,

    Flip.
Firstly, please don't make multiple posts on the same problem. Once is enough.
Secondly, I strongly suspect that your Nero installation is the cause of the problem. Did you allow it to install the Packet Writing utility? If so, please see the FAQ for details on how to avoid this issue in future.

  • Encore error code 52102 windows

I have an issue with Encore error code 52102 I use windows 7

This is a "sense code" error: burner or media related. What disks are you using; what burn speed? Is your burners firmware up to date, etc.

  • Sense Code 52102 & 69200 error

I have Encore CS5 and am trying to burn a Pp project to a DVD.  I have had issues using the Dynamic link before so I usually transcode first then send to Encore to build and burn.  I have made DVD's before using this process with no problem and I have also used the Dynamic link with just send the Pp file to Encore if the project was pretty basic and didnt have much graphic heavy elements to it.
I bought some Memorex blank DVD-R's that have an inkjet printable face as I wanted to start printing directly to DVD faces.  I first tested the project and burned it to a Maxell RW DVD and it burned with no problem at all.  So I thought it was then safe to try one of my new Memorex DVD-R's and at some point after writing most of it, the burn failed and gave me some sense code errors.  I have received three different kinds after multiple tries(and multiple coasters).  I have received 52102, 52100 & 69200.  These all state something about a hardware issue but yet i burned twice to the Maxell RW DVD's with no problem.  I have read some things online that stress the point of different quality of blank media and have seen that Memorex is not highly thought of.  Better brands are supposedly Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.  The previous DVD-R discs i was using for burns without faces are the Verbatim brand and I never had this error code come up with them before.  So after 4 fails with the Memorex discs i tried one of my Verbatim discs and got the same error code to come up at the writing lead in/out phase of the burn.  I even slowed the write speed down to 12x and 8x.  Why could I use my Verbatim discs before and had no problem and now they are failing like the Memorex brand?  And I can use my Maxell RW discs as well without any problem at all.  Could it be the Samsung burner?  But it makes me think it is not because I am burning on the RW's without a hitch.  This was a project that I used the Dynamic Link and was using the Pp file in the timeline.  Should I transcode it first using Media Encoder and then send that to the timeline?  But if it was the Pp file that was causing problems why is it not with my RW discs? Confused and frustrated...help please.
