Encore Won't Load. CS5 Thanks

Hello.  My Encore in CS5 was working, now it won't even load.
Windows 7.  Everything else seems fine.
Computer was built for me. Builder & software not available.
ANY suggestions most appreciated.      Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,Steve    [email protected]

Nobody can know. Your info is far too generic and vague. We know nothing about "everything else" like whsther Premiere Pro is working and thus Encore activated, Media Cache settings or even more fundamental stuff. From virus scanners blocking things to the program being unable to access e.g. a disc burner driver or its own library there could be a gigazillion things going on here.

  • Premiere cs6 won't load cs5 file

This project contained a sequence that could not be opened.  No sequence preview presetfile or codec could be associated with this sequence type.
The project was created in CS5.  I get this messge again, again, and again, even after CS6 DID work once.  CS6 is supposed to load CS5-created premiere project and  sometimes converts it, etc.  Then won't load the converted project!!!!!
    I am using creative cloud.
    What is going on?

Jim, Thanks for the quick reply.  The problem is indeed a missing codec, viz. intra100.  There is a related problem that Adobe apparently has not solved: A/c to a technician.    CS5 overwrites CS6 files and vice-versa (in creative cloud anyway).  So,  I am constantly having to re-activate CS6  because of using CS5 for things like markers.
The tech said they would be working on it (two or three months ago).  Have you heard anything on this issue?
I am wondering if there is any simple way just to copy this particular coded for the moment.
    Thanks again.

  • 64-bit plugin won't load

    Hi,
I have a plug-in that I've compiled in 32-bit and 64-bit versions, and the 32-bit version loads fine in Photoshop 32-bit, but the x64 version fails to load in Photoshop 64-bit.  I saw Jim Watters' thread about this, and added this to my .r file:
    #if defined(_WIN64)
                    CodeWin64X86 { "PluginMainCorrect" },
    #else
but it still fails to load.  What do I do from here?  I've looked around but can't see any advice on how to track down problems with plug-ins that won't load.  Are there any diagnostic tools which I can use to get more information about why it won't load?
    Thanks
                -Matthew

Interestingly, the debug version works fine, just not the release version.  I have looked at the projects settings but found nothing significantly different between the two configurations.  Currently we're working around the problem by using the debug version.

  • Photoshop CS5.1 Won't Load Images On Screen at retina MacBook pro.

Photoshop CS5.1 Won't Load Images On Screen at retina MacBook pro. Any help? Thanks!

I'm surprised that Apple would attempt such a "hack" design...  Switching graphics adapters mid-stream is no small task, and I can't imagine that they could ever make it work seamlessly.
Keep in mind that the nature of the complex GPU beast is that graphics hardware doesn't all work the same (or right) and application software has to make decisions about what to do and what not to do, and even when to invoke certain workarounds - or it would never be possible to run on multiple platforms.
Yes, that seems wrong, but it's necessary and it makes developing cutting-edge graphics applications in the real world much more expensive.
The decisions aren't re-made by an application all the time - that would slow things down terribly.  Instead, often the run-time environment is characterized at application startup and the features remembered for later use.  Modern applications actually even create programs (e.g., shaders or OpenCL programs) to run on specific GPU hardware, and they have to be compiled - something usually done by the application at startup.
Now imagine that someone changes the capabilities of the graphics hardware completely after the application has started - even from one vendor's implementation to another (Intel to nVidia).
Like I said, I'm surprised a reasonable system designer could ever think that swapping GPUs at run-time could be made to work.  At least Apple allows you to turn it off!
Does Apple offer any "geek-level" configuration options that can force the use of a particular GPU for a given application?  It seems that this could be an automated workaround that would allow a given application to see only one GPU, which is what Photoshop appears to need here.

Holy crap, I got it to work.
Essentially, I just waited until DiskWarrior reached Step 9 and told it to skip the step before it had a chance to freeze. It skipped successfully, moved on, rebuilt and replaced the faulty directory files.
So far the computer is booting like normal, I can log in, and I'm currently copying all of the data to an external as I type this.
I still have no idea why the computer wouldn't mount or boot to any drive, but I guess I'll deal with that later.

  • CS5 won't load on my New Windows 8 computer

My computer was fried by lightening and I bought a new Windows 8 computer.  I have CS5, but it won't load.  The disc doesn't automatically start in the drive, and when I look at the files on the disc, I cannot locate a setup, install, or .exe file.  Any suggestions?

I wouldn't count on CS5 working with Win 8 but in this case you may have
a bad disk (or you're using the content disk). You can download the
    installer from here:
    http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
Follow the directions EXACTLY or it won't work. You can use your serial
    number to activate it.

  • Loading CS5 on a new computer, no qualifying products are on this computer so it won't download. How do I fix this?

I'm trying to load CS5 on a new computer, but there are no other products on this computer so it won't let me load it. How do I get around this to install on my new laptop?

PhotoMart6890 you will need to enter the serial number for your previous eligible version of Creative Suite software.  You can find your registered serial numbers under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  You can find additional details at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.

  • Photoshop CS5 won't load since I installed Yosemite!

Since loading Yosemite, Photoshop CS5 won't load and I get this window!
    I'm on an iMac 21.5 mid 2011.

It seems a lot of people are running it without a problem, just seems to be me that has this issue at the moment, I have just got CS5, but I need it and can't afford the stupid leasing system they now have. I just want the product I paid for to work, or I will have to find a similar system that I can simply buy and use, not pay out for every year!
I had this when Mavericks came out and it was sorted, something to do with Java, but can't remember what...

  • Dreamweaver CS5 won't load

I have been using Dreamweaver CS5 and now recently it will not load. When I try to open dreamweaver all I get in the menu bar is "Dreamweaver" under that "Services, Hide Dreamweaver, Hide Other, Hide All, Quit". Can some one help. I reinstalled Dreamweaver to try and fix this to no prevail.

I find no adobe folder in preferences. But i do find::
    com.adobe.dreamweaver-9.0.plist
    Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 Prefs
I tried trashing both, but it did not fix the problem. All it did was ask me to pick another browser.
Unless there's an easy fix I won't bother reinstalling. Regarding the comment from the Adobe salesman, I don't use DW enough to warrant buying a new version for $200. DW 3 works fine, it just won't load the help menu, which also works fine when I load it in Preview.
I know enough about computers to opine that there is probably a solution to this without having to reinstall. Like renaming the help file, or maybe someone telling me where to place it in the file hierarchy. Actually, I tried placing it in 4 other places. No luck.

In order to load games on Facebook you need to set the Flash plugin to allow third-party content
    1. Go to the Flash player Global Storage Settings panel.
    2. Make sure '''Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer''' is check marked.

  • Encore won't encode some PSD files in Flash

I have succesfully completed a DVD project on Encore (4.0)  with mpg elements edited in Premier Pro (4.0). A number of slide sequences constructed from jpgs converted
to pds files in Photoshop (cs5) have been used, plus some (individual, single) text slides, (constructed in Photoshop) have also been included with the DVD project. All of this works
fine. However, when I render the whole project for Flash, the text files are not included! During the render process the file details are displayed but no yellow progress bar appears.
The Flash file is prefereable to the DVD as this enables the Flash file to be available from a central common drive or server.
Can anyone assist me with this? I can find nor reference to these types of issues iether on the forum or anywhere on the net.
    MAC Book Pro 17"
    i5, 4 Gb Ram (Soon be 8)
    Snow Leopard

    Hi Stan
And thanks for the prompt reply. I will try this twixt Christmas and new year. My recollection was that the text created in Premier
when imported into Encore looked “poor” as an mpg. However I had not rendered the project in Flash at that stage. Will
have to look at how Premier works direct to Flash without Encore?

  • Acrobat Pro won't load since I reinstalled Photoshop

Had to reinstall Photoshop CS5 today. Acrobat Pro 9 now won't load. Says Suite Product Activation Needed. It asked that I start another component of the suite. I had Photoshop open and it would not load. Any suggestions are welcome. See attched alert image.

I hope this gets through, since I am now not able to even log in to my adobe account (even though I've been an Adobe customer for over 20 years). My user ID and password stopped working at 4:00 today. Was on the phone with adobe for hours, and they are not able to even get me access to my account or products that I bought from them.
Yes Adobe CS5. Tried restarting. Thanks, but didn't work. Adobe said I need to do a complete reinstall of CS5 to get Acrobat to work. I asked "Then why do you give the option of reinstalling apps individually?" No answer. That's when we discovered that I could no longer even access my account or download my purchased products. They said they are "elevating the matter" and I will here from someone in 24-48 hours. So apparently "elevating" means "We are hanging up now. Talk to you in a few days." Try explaining that to my clients.

  • Flash Pro v 11.5 won't load graphics from saved .fla

I have downloaded the latest flash pro cs5.5 package and installed it on 3 different windows XP machines and I get the same bad result.  This is Flash Pro 11.5.0.325 on  XP SP3.
I made a small slideshow swf consisting of two jpeg images and nothing else.  No music or other bells or whistles.  Just 2 images converted to symbols, some keyframe/tween definitions with altered alpha channels.  The slideshow runs perfectly and as I expect.
I save the slideshow as a .fla file.  I need to add some more functionality from this plateau to show that the product can do what we need to the boss.
When I later load this .fla file,  I don't see my graphics on the stage anymore.  I right-click on the images and click on the option in the dialog to update the images.  I see that the white stage now has the image I expected.  When I close the dialog that lets me update the image flash pro abends and I get the crash dialog from microsoft.
Why can I make this slideshow and have it run perfectly, save it successfully (so I think) and then it won't load properly or let me work on it after one save?
I physically called customer support which would not help me.  I must have gotten Nancy Pelosi for support because they wanted to make me buy the package so I could find out what was in it that was causing the problem.  I think my boss would have some sharp instructions for me if I had the company spend close to a grand for something that does not work in the first place.
I have updated the software when the system  tray tells me to,  I have installed the software multiple times on one of the machines.  No matter,  I get the same result in every case.  I thought the software was a full version for 30 days trial but I am now wondering if it is a lameware version that needs purchasing before it will work completely.
Can anyone help me?  I searched the forums (and the internet) and could find no mention of this problem.  I find that hard to understand when I get it so consistently.
    TIA

    Hi Max,
We are currently working on a way to handle these type of images better in Flash. In the mean time, please see below on how to fix these images.
    1. open the JPG in Photoshop.
    2. re-save as a JPG with a different filename.
    3. import the new JPG.
These steps correct the JPG header bytes and allow Flash to correctly read them from XFL files.
In your case specifically, after step 2 you should use the bitmap properties dialog in Flash Library panel to reimport the image. After importing you may or may not see a change on stage. Please save the file, close, and reopen the file. The images will appear on stage correctly.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and thank you for the quick response.
