End action doesn't work

Okay, it doesn't matter what I do end action doesn't work. Here's the situation. I have three timelines. The Title for starting, the main video, and the credits rolling at thend. When the Title timeline is done playing at the end, it should go to the main video and the main video timeline is done, it should go to the credits but it's not working. In each of the End action of three timelines, I did specify where it should go next. But this doesn't work. So I try to specify where it should go next on the End Action of the last chapter for three timeline but that doens't work either. So I tried specify in the last chapter and also the timeline end action and nothing changes during preview. Please help.

Stupid question:- what exactly does the override do? Override the remote control action, or the end action or both?
Linking each chapter to the next, and the next timeline, allows for the whole project to play continuously, but the end action on the final chapter is always messing things up.

Collapse action doesn't work when several hierarchical columns in a report

Hello everyone!
I have an analysis which contains 6 hierarchical columns. And the problem is that for the 5th and 6th columns collapse doesn't work. I can easily expand the column, but I can't collapse it back. The first four columns are collapsing fine. Is there a bug which describes this?
I'm using OBIEE 11.1.1.6.7. Tried to check this issue in Mozilla and IE - collapse didn't work in neither of them.

It doesn't work here either. After checking the italicized bit below, I see that it doesn't work when called by an application either. It looks like a bug.

One suggestion - split the workflow into two (or more) parts.
1. Open Finder Items with Default Application
2. Ask for Confirmation
3. Run Workflow
4. Wait for User Action
5. Open Finder Items with Specific Application
Save the first as an app, the second as a workflow.

Stop(); Action doesn't work in AS3?

I'm a designer and usually work in AS2.
But I created a movie in as3 (to use the Bones function), and now my stop actions are not working.
What I usually do for my movies is break the movie down in parts on the Main timeline (Start/Content/End), place stops on each of these frames.
And within the Movieclips that play on these labels I put a call:
stop();
_root.gotoAndPlay("Content") etc...
Anyways any fixes for this in AS3?
I'm using CS4 if that matters.

The stop() command works as well in AS3 as it does in AS1/2. What doesn't work is using AS2 terms like "_root". In general, if a stop() command is not working it is because some other code is failing or otherwise overriding the stop().

Bug? chained jQuery Selector in Dynamic Action doesn't work

Just found out, that this jQuery Selector jQuery("#ABOTYPE_REPORT").find("#f01_0001") doesn't work as triggering Element of type "jQuery Selector" in a Dynamic Action.
But this one jQuery("#ABOTYPE_REPORT").find("#f01_0001")[0] worked with type "DOM Element" as triggering Element in a Dynamic Action.
To my knowledge even the first one is a real and valid jQuery Selector and should work.

It would be really nice if you could support a less strict definition of the jQuery Selector (as i understand DOM Object and jQuery Selector to be the advanced and more powerful options).
In my example i could directly use #f01_0001 if my page wouldn't have more than one TabForm on it (and therefore multiple elements with id f01_0001) ;-)

Play audio action doesn't work in Captivate 7

Hi,
On the first slide of my course I added a "quick start" guide. It consists of a series of captions containing text. In each caption there's a "Continue" text link triggering an advanced action to hide the current caption and show the next one. This works perfectly.
Now I wanted to attach audio to each step of the guide. I added a "play audio" action after the show/hide actions for the first step. No audio was playing. When I changed the play audio to be the first action in the script - the script didn't work at all. When I changed it to be between the hide and show, the hide worked and show didn't. What I understand from this is that play audio doesn't work and also halts the whole thing.
Any advice?

Just checked it out, created a shared action with almost exactly the same commands, but grouped all the text containers in one group Gr_TC
to hide:
It worked perfectly. You don't see a label, because it is a shared action, for which I just filled in some parameters. Attached it to three buttons, had 3 text containers and 3 different audio clips.
Is the audio clip playing when you use it in another way? The only difference seems to be that you have a VO clip and I used one of the included sounds with Captivate.
Another way could be to attach the audio to the text container as object audio. Once you show the text, audio will play, when you hide the text it will stop. That was the way to go before CP6:

Buttons with multiple actions doesn't work in v32.1

We had buttons in our previously published folios that bring one multi-state object to first state and second MSO to other state which depends on which button is pressed. It works in app v32.0 and lower, but it doesn't work longer after trying to update our app to v32.1.
If there is no more possible to have buttons with more than one action, I think we should be warned in What's New in Relaese v32.1 notes. Because it's not happen we consider it as a bug. Can someone please tell us whether this is a permanent change to button functionality in DPS folios or if it is happen by mistake?

I was wondering if you were able to see my post today about problems with MSO's and whether you were able to get any solutions for the previous posts on this thread?
I have been in contact with the Adobe support team with regards to the problems I am having with the App I've created and sent the App and some sample indesign files for them to look over. They have been really unhelpful and just given me this as the response:
I have also researched about this issue and would like to inform you that there are several changes which have been incorporated in iOS 8.
So apps which are created and working with iOS 7 might not work with iOS 8. This is an expected behavior.
You would have to create the app again with compatibility settings with iOS 8 and then release an update for the same.
So altogether there has to be another to be app created for iOS 8.
As we are already 2 weeks over deadline, due to problems with iOS 8, and out of budget to cover the extra work we have had to do so far problem solving these issues, I really hoped for something better than this response.
Are Adobe really not looking into a fix for this? Is the only solution to limit the interactivity and functionality of DPS apps so they work within the new restrictions of iOS 8?
Any help would be really gratefully received.

• Photoshop "action" doesn't work well for big file?

I made a Photoshop® script (action) which works perfectly…
(Open .PDF files in Photoshop®, to after save them as .JPG files into another folder)
The problem comes when I launch a batch process.
It takes a while to the computer to open the large .PDF files, and when a file is opened,
well it doesn't go through the whole script. In fact, Photoshop® already open the second file and so on.
Then without running the rest of the script/action
NB. I work with the CS5 version of Photoshop® (on Mac).

Stop action doesn't work

I have a simple website with five pages set up. There is no
code other than the code on the first frame, plus a stop action on
each section. The first thing in the code is the stop action, but
it still keeps running through all the frames when I test it, and a
movie clip set up in a similar way does the same thing. What could
be causing this? I tried taking all the code out of frame 1 except
the stop action but it didn't make any difference. I am starting to
work with actionscript 3.

yes i think you problem is the publish setting ... you are
still set to publish as2... change it as3 .....

E-mail Alert Notification Action doesn't work

Don't receive Alert notifications on email.
Attributes-> Actions-> Critical Action send to email.
At occurrence Critical Alert of the notification are not sent on email.
If a host or the agent are not accessible, the notification is sent on my email.
How to solve this problem or where see Actions log.
I use the built in module of sending notificationns email.sh.
Whether it's necessary to adjust on each server "Sendmail" for sending notifications or to adjust "Sendmail" on a server where it's installed SunMC.
Enough in that case it's better to use Halcyon PrimeAlert EventAction????

You're right: if you're using the default out-of-the-box email actions, then you need to make sure sendmail is set up on every system with an Agent.
Quite often production systems are running restricted Solaris installs without sendmail, or are behind a firewall that denies email.. that's when you'd really want EventAction (so you only need sendmail on your SunMC Server).
EventAction really is the way to go for any kind of SunMC notification/integration... ...but I work for Halcyon, so you have to assume I'm a biased vendor :)

Link to action doesn't work in a POWL application

I have developed a web dynpro ABAP application and it is called by portal,
This WD calls standard POWL, in a POWL there is a LinkToAction field.
When I click on field the system should open a new window (shopping cart detail),
but it doesn't happen anything.
which could the problem be?

IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTION is a standard object of custom feeder class, how can I define a new Action?

Action doesn't work if getFocusOwner() is null

i have JInternalFrame with toolbar with three buttons with defined actions (insert,update,delete) and jtable. actions have key bindings so i don't need buttons to ever get focused, i'd preffer jtable to have focus all the time so key presses (up/down/left/right) go to jtable. problem is that if i set buttons setFocusable(false), it seems all right but after some action jtable losses focus and getFocusOwner() returns null and in that case key bindings don't work, i have to click on button to invoke action.
what can i do to keep jtable focused all the time and still be able to operate actions with keyboard?

You could detect when one of the buttons gets focus and transfer it back to the JTable.

My actions doesn't work. Help!

I created an action to "expand by 1 pixel". I can select it and hit play in the actions window and it works just fine. The button combo I assigned to it is shift- F1, which does NOT work.
I have a Mac and I have a suspicion that there is some keyboard command option in system settings I need to mess with, but I'm not sure. The same combo works just fine on my work Mac.
Any ideas?

I run CS6 PC version neither the 64bit and 32 bit PC CS6 allows an an action to have F1 key with or without a modifier key to be use as a shortcut for an action.

Own class in Email action doesn't work

I have copied the std class CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER to a z* one and what i want to do is to change the mail sender based on some conditions. I write new class and smartfrom in action profile.
But instead of my new class system execute old one but with right smartform. In debugger I see that in method CL_SF_MAIL_TEMPL_PPF~GET_MEDIUM attribute USECUSTDAT isn't set to 'X'.
Question how to fix this?

you can check for inconsistencies in actions. You can do this in Transaction SPPFCADM. You can first check for inconsistencies and if any found you can use clean up to repair them.

Default download action doesn't work

Downloading files for a particular type no longer prompts me for action, but simply saves the file. The application is set to "always ask" in Options, and in desperation I have now changed all applications so that none of them are set to save a file. Can't see anything in about:config or about:plugins, and am at a loss where else to look, Incidentally, I have tried changing the action to something else without any difference in behaviour - it just seems to be ignoring the options setting.

Solved it myself by editing the MimeTypes.RFD file. For reference, I removed the tag urn:mimetype:application/force-download. Can't find any documentation for this, but took a guess that this might be the source of the problem. Seems to be a bug that this can't be changed by normal means

Typing and entering in the address bar yields no action(doesn't work)...Also, Java console not compatible with FF8

The past two versions of FF have rendered the address bar useless when entering a web address...still works with links.
Checked Java website...no updates available

I'm using Firefox 22 on Windows 7 64-bit, by the way.
You can very easily replicate this "bug" (or "feature"... ahem) by shift-clicking any hyperlink which opens up a new Firefox window. Immediately hit the "stop" button to stop the page from loading.
If you're fast enough, the address bar will be completely empty and you can't "refresh" or try again or anything.
In my opinion, the URL should be placed into the address bar the very moment that new window opens. I'd appreciate an explanation of why this is not already the case and if it will or will not be the case in the future.
