End date of Long term reimbursment

Hi SAP gurus,
As you all know that end date for any sub type of the info type 0590 is determined by the year block maintained in customization in fetaure 40LTR.System proposes the end date as per this feature but the end date on screen  is in non modifiable format which means we cant change the end date proposed by the system.
Is there any way we can allow the user to change the end date of the record.
Regards

Hi,
In general, the end date should be editable for changing.  Only the start date will be fixed.  What product type are you using?
Anyway in case you want to move the end date for a reason like extension of contract, then you can use roll over option.  This is supported only for Interest rate Instrument product type.  This would help maintain the history of actions performed on the transaction.
But in case if you want to change the end date because you have input wrongly, then you have to change it in the contract.  If you have posted the end date flows, then those flows have to be reversed in FTR_EDIT, reverse flows posted and then end date changed and new flows posted.

  • Conditions with Fixed end date before Loan term end

    Hi gurus,
Please how do I set up an interest condition that should accrue and post only for the first six months of a loan with a 60 months repayment term?
When I enter 1 in the frequency, it calculates for the whole of the loan period. When I leave the frenquecy blank, it calculate for the whole of the six months, and post the total on the sixt month.
What I want is the interest to accrue and post monthly only for the first six months.
    Thanks
    Fisayo.

    Hi,
You are expecting to set a condition for the first 6 months of the loan term where your contract is maturing after 60 months. If so please create an interest condition with out specifying any frequency but provide calc start date = start of term of contract and calc end date = (date completing 6 months after term start )- 1 day, due date = 6 months after term start. For eg: if your loan start date is 01.01.2010 and end of term is 31.12.2014:
    Interest Condition details:
    Int Start Date = 01.01.2010
    Calc End date = 30.06.2010
    Due Date = 01.07.2010
    Freq = NIL
I hope by setting above condition, you can get the required cash flows for first six months only.

  • Long term reimbursement update(subtype 590)

    hi,
i could not update multiple asset descriptions in 590 subtype through LSMW or BDC. please help me how can i do that. do we have any BAPI to upload or is ther any other method of upload.?

I think you can write a program which returns the number of times an employee can clain the reimbursment and the amount for which he can claim with in the specific eligbility period and ling it to the reimbursment wage type in feature 40 ECS. This may help you in achieving your requirements. But in this case, the criteria will be same for all cases where this wage type is used.
Once this thing is done, it allows the employee to upload multiple entries for this as defined by the eligibility.

  • Auto Conversionn long term fixed deposit to short term fixed deposit

    Hi SAP Experrts,
We are using CFM system and I  have the following scenario
We invest funds in long term fixed deposit. On maturity data LTI should automatically convert STI and the balance in LTI account should get transfered to STI account. Has any one dealt with this kind of scenario, If yes please let me know how to configure this scenario in Account determination
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Like Prasad said you can do a valuation class transfer.  But this is not available in earlier releases ( I think only from EH2).
But it would be better if we could know the business logic for such a transfer.  Why do you want to transfer to a short term FD on maturity date.  On maturity date, the long term FD gets matured and that closes the investment correct.  In case if your requirement is that the maturity amount is invested in another short term FD, then you can as well create a new short term FD transaction for the same or in case if the FD is extended for some time then you can check with the option of roll over.

    Hi,
To configure your ODBC DataSource, go to Control Panel ---> DataSources(ODBC) (If you are in a Windows environment).
Select the tab System DSN. If you have not added your data source, then do so by clicking on the Add button. If you have added the datasource, click on the Configure button to configure it.
Give the datasource name, then the database name.
You have to give the hostname, service name and server name. I guess, in most cases, the datasource name and host name will be the same, service name and server name will be the same. If you are using TCP/IP, the protocol will be onsoctcp.
There will be a file named Services under C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc where you have to give the port number for accessing this server.
It will be like this <service name> <portnumber>/tcp
    Hope this helps...
    best wishes,

  • Extracting LTP (Long Term Planning) Data from SAP ECC to SAP BW

    Hello all
Here is the task in hand. There is a standard report that Production Planners execute post their MRP/LTP runs. This report can be accessed through T-code "MCB)". The program in action is RMCB1200. I tried looking for any standard extractors but to no avail. I would be fine to know either or both of the following:
    An extractor
All the primary tables involved ( I have found a few tables through the program but a list by some expert will help me understand that I have not missed anything significant)
Also, if anyone has done this before, how was your experience with the extraction in terms of extraction volume and performance.
    Regards

After further digging, here is some information that I found out.
    T-code
    Program
    BADI
    MSEX
    RMDMRPEXTRACT02
    MD_SR_LIST_EXTRACT
This could possibly provide the data required. The program can be scheduled and the output can be managed by SPRO settings for Extraction Mode. I am running tests to confirm if it provides me the correct information and matches with MCB) output.

  • Long Term Storage ideas for Data in an Oracle Database

We have data that we no longer need access to and want to archive it on tapes for long term storage.
We want to save the data using datapump or rman from time to time and and store the exports/backups on tapes. The issue we don't want to face in the future is , if Oracle deprecates the methodology we used to save the data in 2012, we no longer have a way to retrieve the data into a database 10 years from now.
This may sound crazy, but hear me out. Before datapump existed everyone was using vanilla exp to export the data. Now we have datapump as exp's upgrade and we have rman too. What if in 2012 we took an export using datapump or a backup using rman and save it off on a tape. 10 years go by and in 2022 management wants to look at the 2012 data. Lets say by this time Oracle's mothodology changes and they have a much more efficient/robust export/backup method. One way for us to keep the old backups up to date is to import the data back before the method we used in 2012 is deprecated and then export/backup the data using the new method to keep the exports/tapes in sync with then current technology.
My question is, what methods of saving large amounts of data do you recommend/use to save data to a tape so that you don't have to worry about changing times.
An idea I heard is to save the data as insert statements. This would work for most of the data except for blobs.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Won't an intelligent compression algorithm take care of a lot of the overhead for that?
    >
That's certainly a valid point to make and one that the OP can test. And because the duplicated metadata is identical and in the same physical row location there may be compression algorithms that can reduce it to just one set.
There were two points I was trying to make.
    1. Don't just save the data - save the metadata also.
    2. The metadata for each row will be the same so if you use an INSERT format that duplicates it for every row you are potentially wasting a lot of space.
Your other point was probably more important than these or anything previously mentioned.
    >
perform restores of the entire database every couple of years or so to make sure that your
    database isn't degrading
    >
Regardless of the format and media used to backup the data it is important to verify the integrity of the backup periodically.
There are a lot of ways to do this. One way is a simple MD5 (or other) checksum of data at some level of granularity and then periodically read the data and confirm you still get the same checksum.
In my opinion the more generic the format that the data is saved in the better the odds that you can recover the data later no matter how technology may have changed.

  • Real Estate Classic Question (General Contract - Term End Date)

Hi there.  I wonder if there is anyone who could answer this question for me.
I am currently using RE Classic and I am having a problem capturing the true end date of a lease (General Contract).
We are currently driven by the date of when the GC is paid up to and is causing us problems when it comes to reporting.
    Hopefully my example might help:-
The Start Date of the Lease is 01.04.2009
The End Date of the Lease is 31.03.2011 (This is the date held in the Resubmission - Lease Expiry)
We want to bring the Lease to a close due to ending our agreement early. The date of this is 31.03.2010.
However due to the fact we have paid in advance up to the 31.03.2011 I cant enter the date of 31.03.2010 otherwise this will create follow up postings.
The problem I now have, is that I want to run a report with all my current Leases (General Contracts) but this one still appears because the End Date in the system is 31.03.2011, even though we have ended on the 31.03.2010. (The report is assuming this GC is still live)
Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Or do I need to explain this in more detail?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    JD

    Thanks for your reply Diane.
The problem is two fold.  Putting in the actual date of the lease ending is causing follow up postings in the cash flow, hence the reason we have been advised to put in the date of the final posting date. (and not the true expiry date)
And on both Standard and ABAP reports the problem it causes is due to the date of the contract end being set to the final posting date.
The reports look at today being the 8th June and sees that this contract is live because we haven't reached the final posting date.  So effectively this lease has ended but because the final posting date is say 30.11.2010 it will stay on the reports until the 1st December then it will drop off.
Hopefully I have explained this clearly for you.  If not please say.
    Thanks
    JD

  • Extend End date after the end date has reached

    Hi gurus,
We are using SRM5.0 on ECS with backend ECC5.0.
We notice that after the end date of bid has reached even though there is a bid submitted by supplier , the purchaser still can extend the end date to a later date as long as he has not made the accept or reject choice.
If it is the case, the purchaser can view the price after the end date reached and then extend the end date and maybe tell other supplier what the price the opponent has submitted. This is not allowed and should be penaltied.
We just want to know how to avoid this in the term of system. Can we make the
end date field unchangeable after the end date has reached? or any other solutions?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
As Teja and SAndeep mentioned, you can go for either the Approval or BADI approach.
In case you are implementing the BADI,you can make the concerned fields grayed out so no changes are made but then this would mean that <b>no changes
</b> can be done at all after the END date has been reached.
In case of workflow, you can have you starting conditions in which you will compare the end date and the system date .If same, you can trigger  a Workflow for approval of any changes to be done further. So even if the changes are made, the chnages are approved by a higher authority.
Another way would be to implement the "BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI" to check whether the end date has been reached and then allow the user to do any changes. You can use the FM "BBP_PD_BID_GETDETAIL" to get the details of the BI and then check. In this case, you can additionally check for other parameters of the User like role, authorisation based on which he can make changes in exceptional cases.

  • Lot Sizing for Short/Long Term

    Hello All,
I tried the lot sizing with the short term/Longterm pattern..
But I'm facing the following problem..
I have maintained periodic lot sizing according to the planning calendar(Weeks from Saturday to Friday) for the first month...( Requirement date = period end)
And for the other 2 years I have defined periodic lot sizing with Monthly lot size ( Requirement date = period end).
But running MRP, the system Cumulates all the monthly requirement from the 2 nd period and creating the order proposal with the order end date of the months first planning calendar week. But I'm expecting the system to create the order proposal with the month's last date as the order end date .
Whether my expectation is incorrect or any other settings to be maintained to achieve this.
    Thanks & regards,
    Mahesh

    Hello Mahesh,
You can get the results without maintaining the planning calendar..Just change the lot size procedure WB :weekly lot size" and take out the planing calendar and maintain the settings as per below.
In the period lot sizing procedure WB maintain the number of periods 1 for the period of short term period with weekly lot size. then in "end of the short term period" maintain the initail value " months: and define number of periods 24.
maintain the same values for long term period i.e period 1 with period lot sizing procedure (monthly lot size).
By doing the above you will get the weekly lot size for the first 2 years and then monthly lot size for the rest of the requirements.
    If helpful rewards your points.

  • Long Term Storage with VTL (Firestreamer)

    Hi All
I'm currently in the planning stages of DPM 2012 R2 and am looking at eliminating tapes for long term/archival purposes by using a VTL solution. I have a trial of Firestreamer and am testing it out. The thought is that we would output to to file media and
then somehow replicate this offsite to a 3rd party for long term storage.
The thinking around removing physical tapes from daily life would save manual labour, tape transfers and the general chore of physical media but I'm wary of the virtual side of things becoming a time consuming monster to manage.
The "tape" management side of it would need to be very carefully thought out to keep things under control and relatively simple. Things like max media size would need to be kept fairly low compared to modern LTO capacities to allow easy WAN transfer
but at the same time I'm wary of ending up with a myriad of files from one large backup let alone months/years worth.
For those "tapes" that will need to rotate (say weeklies on a 5 week rotation) we could simply reuse the tape files and then allow them to overwrite at the offsite end to preserve space and keep things simple.
I'm backing up around 12TB pre compression using traditional tape methods currently and this is set to rise steeply with the onset of new projects, so depending on the compression rate the transfer of full backups over the wire could be large.
There is the added issue that DPM either compresses or encrypts and Firestreamer only compresses. The issue here is that I have a requirement for encrypted backups so therefore encryption will have to be performed at DPM level negating any form of compression
    from there on.
Does anyone have any experience of this, or any other VTL's or non tape practices, if so I'd be very interested in how you did it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I would say it depends - DPM encrypts the data in chunks before writing the data to the tape. If most of the chunks are the same for each version of the backup, then the disk dedupe would be efficient.  If data was inserted or removed from files in
such a way that the chunks are no longer aligned, then the encrypted data would not match previous chunks and would not be deduped since it didn't match previous backup data.  But overall, I think you have a pretty good chance of getting some
fairly decent dedupe saving over time.
You may want to inquiry about that with the OEM to see if they have any test results using DPM backup with software encryption enabled.
